Description: Green Bay wideout Jordy Nelson looked like his old self Sunday with Aaron Rodgers back under center.
Insight: Nelson's 161 yards on ten catches were both season-highs. Green Bay's next opponent will be the 49ers. Nelson registered 130 yards on seven grabs when he faced San Francisco back in Week 1.

11/17/2013 7:23:00 PM
Description: Packers receiver Jordy Nelson reeled in eight balls for 117 yards Sunday at New York.
Insight: Scott Tolzien looked his way a team-high nine times. Nelson is safe to start next week against the Vikings even with Aaron Rodgers out.

10/13/2013 6:44:00 PM
Description: With Randall Cobb and James Jones sidelined for most of the game with injuries, Packers receiver Jordy Nelson had a field day Sunday against the Ravens.
Insight: Nelson didn't have many catches (just four) but he made each of them count. Nelson's 113-yard performance marked his highest yardage total since Week 1 against the Niners. He's off to an excellent start (484 yards in five games) and should surpass the 1,000-yard barrier easily as long as he can stay healthy.

9/15/2013 6:47:00 PM
Description: Two of Jordy Nelson's three catches went for touchdowns Sunday against the Redskins.
Insight: That's an average of 22 yards per catch. Nelson (196 yards, three TD in his first two games) looks poised for a monster fantasy year.

9/8/2013 7:57:00 PM
Description: Green Bay receiver Jordy Nelson's knee looked pretty healthy Sunday against the 49ers.
Insight: Nelson had knee surgery in early August and missed most of training camp, but he had 130 yards and a touchdown on seven receptions Sunday. As one of Aaron Rodgers' top-two targets, Nelson will have a huge season if he stays on the field.

9/3/2013 8:36:00 PM
Description: Green Bay receiver Jordy Nelson (knee) has been cleared to play in Week 1, according to ProFootballTalk.com.
Insight: Nelson returned to practice last Monday after having knee surgery and missing most of training camp. He'll be one of Aaron Rodgers' top targets when he's healthy.

8/25/2013 2:35:00 PM
Description: Green Bay receiver Jordy Nelson (knee) returned to practice Sunday, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Insight: Not only does that put Nelson on track to start Week 1, it gives him enough time to work on his conditioning. The receiver had knee surgery shortly after the start of training camp.

8/21/2013 6:15:00 PM
Description: Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said that receiver Jordy Nelson (knee) is "very close" to returning, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Insight: Nelson said Wednesday that his rehab is "slowly progressing." according to FOX Sports Wisconsin. When asked about his Week 1 status, he said "You never know." However, McCarthy says he feels "pretty good" about Nelson's status.

8/6/2013 2:44:00 PM
Description: Green Bay wideout Jordy Nelson (knee surgery) will miss 4-6 weeks, but still has a chance to be back for opening day, according to an Adam Schefter report.
Insight: With Greg Jennings and Donald Driver gone, Nelson, Randall Cobb and James Jones were set for big fantasy production. This could knock Nelson down just a bit and raise Cobb and Jones.

1/12/2013 7:22:00 PM
Description: Green Bay wideout Jordy Nelson (knee, ankle) is active for Saturday's game against the 49ers.
Insight: Randall Cobb (illness) and Jermichael Finley (hamstring) are also active, giving Aaron Rodgers plenty of weapons. We'd play Cobb and Greg Jennings over Nelson.

Insight: Randall Cobb (illness) also practiced. Nelson should be better this weekend than last, when he caught three balls for 51 yards, primarily during the last drive before half-time. However, Greg Jennings, James Jones and Cobb are better fantasy options for Green Bay's Divisional Round game against the 49ers.

1/9/2013 2:02:00 PM
Description: Green Bay wideout Jordy Nelson was not practicing Wednesday, according to an Adam Schein report, but the plan is for him to give it a try on Thursday.
Insight: Nelson should be better this weekend than last, when he caught three balls for 51 yards, primarily during the last drive before half-time. Nelson is obviously not 100 percent and the Packers have enough talent that he might only be Aaron Rodgers' fourth-best target at this time.

1/6/2013 9:14:00 AM
Description: Green Bay wideout Jordy Nelson was in uniform, but didn't get a full workload as his knee obviously wasn't 100 percent. He caught three balls for 51 yards, but was watching from the sidelines for a lot of the night.
Insight: Nelson should be better next weekend, but the Packers don't have to force the ball to him because they have so many other receiving options. He'll be a high risk against San Francisco unless he proves in practice that he is much healthier.

Description: Green Bay wideout Jordy Nelson says there's "no doubt" he'll be on the field Saturday against the Vikings. Nelson injured his knee late in Sunday's loss to Minnesota. SOURCE: Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel
Insight: Nelson returned from a hamstring injury last week to score his first touchdown in over a month. This knee injury doesn't seem too serious so Nelson should be fine for Saturday.

1/2/2013 3:25:00 PM
Description: Packers receiver Jordy Nelson (knee) came back to practice on Wednesday after missing the Tuesday session.
Insight: The team still has some concerns after Nelson re-injured his knee Sunday against the Vikings but managed to play through it. Nelson had three catches for 87 yards and a score Sunday and is a key to the Packers' passing game. It bears watching to see if he can practice again on Thursday.

Description: Packers receiver Jordy Nelson (knee) didn't practice Tuesday. SOURCE: Tom Silverstein, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
Insight: Nelson re-injured his knee Sunday against the Vikings but played through it. According to Silverstein, Packers coach Mike McCarthy had an ominous tone regarding Nelson's status for Green Bay's playoff game Saturday. McCarthy said we'll have more information Wednesday when the injury report comes out.

12/30/2012 7:52:00 PM
Description: On the strength of a 73-yard gain, Packers receiver Jordy Nelson had three catches for 87 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Vikings in his return to the lineup.
Insight: Nelson missed the previous three games due to a hamstring injury. He missed a fourth game earlier this season and will close with seven touchdowns and 745 yards in 12 games, down from 15 and 1,263 last year.

12/27/2012 6:02:00 PM
Description: Packers receiver Jordy Nelson (hamstring) practiced Thursday.
Insight: Nelson (46-658-6) has missed the last three games and most of a fourth due to a hamstring injury but coach Mike McCarthy said the receiver is "very close" to returning. Randall Cobb is questionable for Sunday so Nelson could return to a big role in Week 17.

12/26/2012 10:23:00 AM
Description: A Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel report said coach Mike McCarthy called Packers' receiver Jordy Nelson (hamstring) "very close" to returning.
Insight: Nelson (46-658-6) was useless to fantasy owners through the first rounds of the playoffs. We will wait to see him out on the practice field before we declare him ready to play or even close.

12/20/2012 1:08:00 PM
Description: Packers receiver Jordy Nelson (hamstring) didn't practice again Thursday and seems doubtful for Sunday. SOURCE: Pete Dougherty, Green Bay Press-Gazette
Insight: Nelson (46-658-6) has missed the last two games and most of Week 13 due to a hamstring injury. Even if he can get things together for Sunday's game, he'll be difficult to trust with Randall Cobb, Greg Jennings and James Jones around. Cobb is the only Green Bay receiver fantasy owners should roll with this Sunday, although a desperate owner could turn to Jones coming off a three-touchdown game.
