Description: T-Wolves small forward Andrei Kirilenko will again be on a minutes limit Monday against the Grizzlies.

Insight: Kirilenko has missed 14 of the last 18 games, first with a quad injury and then with a strained calf. Derrick Williams has filled in admirably with 16.8 points and 8.1 rebounds over his last 18 games. Williams will likely remain the starter at power forward until Kevin Love returns, but his production will take a dive.

Insight: Kirilenko missed five straight games leading into the All-Star break with a quad strain and only made it through three full games before injuring his calf on Feb. 26. Description: Minnesota small forward Andrei Kirilenko won't be available for Monday's game against the Heat. He's still recovering from a calf injury.
Insight: This will be Kirilenko's third DNP in a row. He'll be a question mark for Wednesday's game against Washington.

2/28/2013 11:22:00 AM
Description: Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman said he expects forward Andrei Kirilenko (calf) to be out for "a while," according to the Star Tribune.
Insight: Kirilenko has missed more than a week on two separate occasions this season, first with back spasms and then with a strained quad. "I don't know how long, but he'll be out for a while," Adelman said. "And that will really hurt us again because we're just so small offensively. It just makes it hard." Adelman will be forced to use a combination of Mickael Gelabale, Alexey Shved, Dante Cunningham and Derrick Williams to replace Kirilenko. Williams performed well earlier this month when Kirilenko was sidelined.

Description: A strained right quad will keep Timberwolves forward Andrei Kirilenko from competing in Friday night's game against New York.
Insight: Kirilenko missed Wednesday's game also. We're not holding out much hope that he'll be able to play Sunday at Memphis. Adding Mickael Gelabale (10 points for the T-Wolves on Wednesday) off the waiver wire seems like a decent short-term solution for Kirilenko owners.
