Description: Angels left-hander Tyler Skaggs was clocked at 92-94 mph Friday, according to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register.
Insight: Skaggs was considered a top-10 overall prospect by mlb.com in 2012 when he was with the Diamondbacks, but he has recorded a 5.43 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP over 68 innings in the majors while averaging 89.4 mph with his fastball. Los Angeles acquired him along with Hector Santiago for Mark Trumbo this winter.
Description: Mariners C/DH Jesus Montero was sent to the minors Friday, according to Greg Johns of MLB.com.
Insight: Montero reported to camp 40 pounds overweight after serving a 50-game suspension for his involvement in the Biogenesis scandal last season, so he\'s not in the Mariners\' good graces at the moment. He did go 9-for-29 with two homers and a .976 OPS this spring, though.
Description: Hakeem Nicks has agreed to a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts, according to Mike Garafolo of foxsports.com.
Insight: Nicks\' next touchdown will be his first since 2012. He had zero scores on his 56 catches for 896 yards in 15 games last season. He\'ll look to revitalize his career with Andrew Luck as his quarterback in hopes of landing a long-term contract. He\'ll have to share targets with Reggie Wayne, T.Y. Hilton and Coby Fleener, however, and the four may end up taking fantasy value from each other while improving Luck\'s.
Description: The Titans have released Ryan Fitzpatrick after one season.
Insight: The Titans needed Fitzpatrick to play 11 games last season behind brittle starter Jake Locker, and he completed 62 percent of his passes for 2,454 yards, 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Tennessee will go with Charlie Whitehurst, who is familiar with new Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt\'s offensive system after playing in it as a backup for the Chargers last season.
