Quentin Richardson's late-season surge is something worth taking advantage of.
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) -
I'm not sure what woke Miami Heat guard/forward Quentin Richardson up this month, but since the calendar turned to March, he's been one of the best players available for pick up.
For the month of February, "Q" was a fantasy "non-entity" posting 6.8 ppg, 5.5 rpg and 1.1 apg in 27 minutes of play.
He's been getting a little bit more time in March, but that's as a result of his better play, not causing it. Over the team's three March games, Richardson has shot 60% from the floor and 53.8% from three-point range as compared to 36.4% and 31.1% in February, respectively.
But it's not just his scoring (20.7 ppg in March) and shooting percentages which have improved. He's also hauled down 7.7 rpg and produced 2.3 steals-a-game.
This type of late-season surge isn't part of Richardson's history, but it's something that you should take advantage of. Currently, he's owned in just 20% of all leagues and after a game in Charlotte, the Heat begin a nice six-game homestand.
This streak may not last too long, but it's worth getting in on over the next two weeks, particularly if you have been suffering from the injury bug.
