Flyers G Mason leaves game

Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Steve Mason left Saturday's 4-3 overtime victory against the Pittsburgh Penguins at the second intermission with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Late in the period, Pens forward Jayson Megna pushed Philly defenseman Andrew MacDonald into Mason, with the latter sprawled out in his crease for several moments before returning to action. Megna was given a minor for interference at the 16:27 mark.

Mason suffered an apparent upper-body injury but was removed as a precaution after stopping 21-of-22 shots. Ray Emery subbed in the crease at the start of the third period and was credited with the win.
