Description: The Padres have recalled Jesse Hahn from Double-A.
Insight: Hahn was near his innings limit so they sent him to the minors for a while. He's thrown 110 1/3 innings between the minors and majors and has gone 7-3 with a 2.96 ERA, a 1.13 WHIP and 65 Ks in 70 innings with the Padres.

Description: The Padres have sent Jesse Hahn to Double-A to limit his innings.
Insight: Hahn threw 69 innings last year in the Rays system, and manager Bud Black said near the end of July that he was unlikely to double his innings this season. He's thrown 110 1/3 innings between the minors and majors and has gone 7-3 with a 2.96 ERA, a 1.13 WHIP and 65 Ks in 70 innings with the Padres.

Description: Padres manager Bud Black said that Jesse Hahn "has somewhere between five and 10 starts left." SOURCE: mlb.com
Insight: Hahn threw 69 innings last year in the Rays system, and Black said it is unlikely he doubles his innings output this season. He has thrown a combined 87 innings between the minors and majors, so he has approximately 30-40 innings left. Hahn wasn't considered a top-10 prospect for the Padres prior to this season, but he had a 2.01 ERA over 40 1/3 innings in Double-A and he's recorded a 2.12 ERA and 51 Ks in 46 2/3 big-league innings.

Hot7/25/2014 10:53:00 PM
Description: Padres starter Jesse Hahn held the Braves to one run on three hits in six innings Friday night to improve to 6-2.
Insight: Hahn (6-2, 2.12 ERA) wasn't considered a top-10 prospect for the Padres prior to this season, but he had a 2.01 ERA over 40 1/3 innings in Double-A and he's recorded a 2.12 ERA in 46 2/3 big-league innings. Hahn's 23-percent line-drive rate, .246 BABIP and 3.66 BB/9 probably portend a decline, but he's struck out 9.84 batters per nine, kept the ball in the park (0.39 HR/9) and is gaining confidence with each start. Fantasy owners must give him a shot in all leagues.

7/12/2014 7:10:00 PM
Description: Padres 24-year-old right-hander Jesse Hahn was sent to Triple-A El Paso.
Insight: Hahn's fantasy owners shouldn't panic. The team will bring up a player for the final two games before the break, but Hahn should return as he's been the Padres' best pitcher (5-2, 2.21 ERA, 1.057 WHIP)

Hot6/25/2014 10:24:00 AM
Description: Padres 24-year-old right-hander Jesse Hahn has struck out 22 batters and allowed two earned runs on 10 hits in his last 19 innings.
Insight: Hahn (3-1, 2.38 ERA, 1.06 WHIP) is one of San Diego's lower-level prospects, but he's been excellent so far for a rotation that has been thinned out by injuries.

Hot6/19/2014 9:51:00 PM
Description: Padres 24-year-old right-hander Jesse Hahn has allowed no earned runs on six hits over 13 innings while striking out 14 batters his last two starts.
Insight: Hahn is one of San Diego's lower-level prospects. He skipped over Triple-A after posting a 2.11 ERA with Double-A San Antonio this season. NL-only owners in deep leagues can give him a chance.

6/2/2014 2:38:00 PM
Description: Padres prospect Jesse Hahn is expected to make his major league debut on Tuesday versus Pittsburgh, according to Doug Bowman of hokiehaven.com
Insight: Hahn has posted respectable numbers at Double-A San Antonio (2-1, 2.20 ERA, 1.224 WHIP, 28-to-11 strikeout-to-walk ratio), but we don't think he's fantasy worthy at this time.
