Description: Los Angeles left-hander C.J. Wilson dominated Houston Monday for his first win of the season.
Insight: Wilson (1-1, 4.61 ERA) got rocked in his first outing (8 H, 6 ER in 5 2/3 IP against the Mariners) but was much better this time around. In eight innings, he only allowed four hits and one run. The seven strikeouts Wilson recorded were his most since September 22nd.

Description: Angels starter C.J. Wilson tweeted out a lighthearted message to say he's fine after taking a comebacker off the left side of his head during live batting practice on Tuesday. SOURCE:
Insight: "He was very cognizant; he was aware of what was going on, what was happening, and never lost consciousness," Angels GM Jerry Dipoto said. "The initial read is that neurologically he is fine." Wilson went 17-7 with a 3.39 ERA and a 1.34 WHIP last season even though the Angels only won 78 games and has averaged 15 wins per season with a 3.37 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP in four years since becoming a full-time starter.

Description: Angels starter C.J. Wilson was hit in the head while throwing batting practice, according to the Los Angeles Angels.
Insight: Wilson walked off under his own power, but we'll know more after he goes through all the tests. He was 17-7 with a 3.39 ERA and 1.342 WHIP last season.

Description: Angels lefthander C.J. Wilson was lights out Saturday against Oakland.
Insight: Wilson only surrendered three hits in his 8 1/3 innings of work Saturday in Anaheim. Since giving up five runs in an outing against Detroit at the end of last month, the two-time All-Star is 3-1 with a 0.62 ERA.
7/11/2013 9:47:00 AM
Description: Los Angeles starter C.J. Wilson finished the first half with a strong outing against Chicago.

Description: Put another one in the W column for C.J. Wilson. The Angels lefthander won for the fourth time in a row Sunday versus Houston.
Insight: In seven innings, Wilson (8-5, 3.63 ERA) allowed one unearned run and just three hits. Wilson walked three and struck out ten. He'll finish the month with a 4-2 record (3.05 ERA in 38 1/3 innings).

Description: Los Angeles starter C.J. Wilson gave up five runs on seven hits in five innings Tuesday at Detroit, but he picked up his seventh win anyway.
Insight: The Angels scored 14 runs in support. However, this start further affirms why fantasy owners do not want to start Wilson away from Angel Stadium -- he's 3-3 with a 5.36 ERA on the road and 4-2 with a 2.65 ERA at home.
5/22/2013 10:24:00 PM
Description: Los Angeles starter C.J. Wilson snapped a three-game skid by notching his fourth win of the year Wednesday against the Mariners.
Insight: The lefthander struck out ten over eight innings of work. His next start is scheduled for Monday in Kansas City.
4/14/2013 8:53:00 PM
Description: Angels lefty C.J. Wilson grabbed win No. 1 with six innings of one-run ball Sunday against the Astros.
Insight: Wilson has a 1.27 K/BB in 18 innings this year. He's going to walk 80-90 batters per 200 innings, so he's going to have to work well with runners on base. The lefty had a strand rate of 72.4 percent in 2010 and 73.6 percent in 2011, but just 70 percent in his first season with the Angels.
10/23/2012 4:07:00 PM
Description: Los Angeles Angels starter C.J. Wilson had surgery to remove bone spurs from his left elbow and all went well according to the pitcher. Recovery time is 4-6 weeks, so he should be ready for spring training
Insight: Wilson was 13-10 with a 3.83 ERA and a 1.34 WHIP. All three were significantly lower than in 2011. He was 9-5 with a 2.43 ERA before the break and just 4-5 with a 5.54 ERA after it, so the elbow may have been hurting more than he let on.
10/3/2012 7:50:00 PM
Description: Los Angeles starter C.J. Wilson will have surgery this offseason to remove bone spurs from his left elbow.
Insight: Wilson (13-10, 3.83 ERA) slumped in the second half, producing a 5.54 ERA in 16 starts after going 9-5 with a 2.43 clip before the All-Star game. He should be fully recovered by the time Spring Training starts up again in February.
Hot7/12/2012 2:19:00 PM
Description: Angels starter C.J. Wilson is expected to start Los Angeles' first game back after the All-Star break against the Yankees. Wilson left the All-Star game due to a blister on his pitching hand.
Insight: Wilson (9-5, 2.43) has been as consistent as any starter in the league this year, allowing three earned runs or less in 17 of 18 starts.
Hot6/26/2012 10:05:00 PM
Description: Angels starter C.J. Wilson has allowed one run or less in six of his last seven starts, with his last start serving as the exception.
Insight: Wilson (9-4, 2.36 ERA) handled Baltimore Tuesday, allowing one run on six hits in seven innings. He's been worth every penny for the Angels, and for fantasy owners as well.
5/27/2012 9:22:00 PM
Description: C.J. Wilson exited Sunday's game after just 88 pitches because of a blister on his throwing hand. The Angels lefthander isn't expected to miss his next start.
Insight: Wilson (6-4, 2.77 ERA) looked pretty sharp before the blister started bothering him. He made it through six innings, allowing just two hits and one run. Over his last two outings, Wilson has allowed just three hits and one run, so he's been on a quite a roll lately.
5/17/2012 7:29:00 PM
Description: C.J. Wilson couldn't get out of the fourth inning against the White Sox on Thursday. Wilson gave up four runs (one earned) on four hits and six walks in 3 2/3 innings.
Insight: Hopefully, starting two days in a row against the Rangers on May 11 and 12 due to a lengthy rain delay didn't throw off Wilson's rhythm.
4/25/2012 10:43:00 PM
Description: C.J. Wilson struck out 11 Rays in seven innings on Wednesday. However, Wilson took a tough-luck loss against Jeremy Hellickson despite giving up just two runs on six hits.
Insight: Wilson has pitched excellently with his new ballclub. He's struck out 19 batters in 13 innings his last two starts and is a good bet to eclipse 200 strikeouts again.
4/14/2012 5:00:00 PM
Description: C.J. Wilson threw six innings against New York on Saturday afternoon, giving up one run on six hits with two strikeouts.
Insight: Wilson earned his first career win against the Yankees. He is now 2-0 in his first season with the Angels, and should be in line to at least duplicate his 16-win 2011 season.
4/9/2012 8:49:00 PM
Description: C.J. Wilson registered his first win as a Los Angeles Angel on Monday. The former Ranger allowed three hits and one earned run against Minnesota in his first outing of the season.
Insight: Facing the Yankees on Saturday should be a bigger challenge for Wilson than today's game was. Minnesota's (0-4) offense has been stagnant all season.
3/26/2012 12:40:00 PM
Description: C.J. Wilson may be the No. 3 pitcher in the Angels rotation, but he's pitching like an ace in spring training.
Insight: In four starts Wilson has a 0.64 ERA and a 0.71 WHIP. Not having to face the opposing ace might help Wilson improve on last year's statistics which were already very good - 16-7, 2.94 ERA. 1.18 WHIP, 206 strikeouts.
