Interleague Preview from The Sports Network

Sunday, May 11th (All times Eastern)

Arizona Diamondbacks (14-25) at Chicago White Sox (19-19), 2:10 p.m.

Probable Starting Pitchers: Arizona - Chase Anderson (0-0, 0.00) Chicago White Sox - Hector Noesi (0-2, 8.27)

( - Chicago's Hector Noesi will try again to end a prolonged winless slide as a starter on Sunday afternoon, when the White Sox host the Arizona Diamondbacks in the finale of a three-game series at U.S. Cellular Field.

Noesi has started just three games since 2012 and actually opened this season in the bullpen with the Texas Rangers.

He was acquired off of waivers by the White Sox on April 25 and has started two games since, allowing four runs in a 5-1 loss to Detroit on April 30, then giving up a run in five innings in the team's 5-1 defeat of the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday.

In his last 15 starts, he's 0-10 with a 5.78 earned run average.

Noesi started against Arizona once in 2012 and lost, 7-1, while pitching for Seattle.

Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks will try to continue a recently strong road performance.

Arizona will return home with a winning road trip after winning five of its first eight games away from Chase Field. Overall for the season, its pitchers have a 4.52 road ERA, while it's nearly a run higher -- at 5.36 -- at home.

As a team, the Diamondbacks have won 11 road games compared to three at home.

On Saturday, Cody Ross had three hits and Wade Miley allowed just two runs over seven innings as the Diamondbacks secured a 4-3 win.

Miley (3-3) was touched for just four hits and struck out six for Arizona.

A.J. Pollock, Martin Prado and Chris Owings contributed two hits apiece in the win.

Paul Konerko homered for the White Sox and Jose Quintana (1-3) yielded three runs on seven hits over six innings in the setback.

Addison Reed, a former White Sox closer, finished the win to get his 11th save.

"The best thing is we got the win, but against these guys it was a little more fun," he said. "It was fun, any time you get a win it is fun, but against these guys it is a little more special for me."

Right-hander Chase Anderson gets the start for Arizona on Sunday in his big- league debut.

He was the organization's pitcher of the month in April after going 4-2 with a 0.69 ERA in six starts at Double-A.

Anderson arrived on Tuesday and was slotted for bullpen duty, but has yet to pitch.

This is the first time these two teams have met since 2011.
