Running Back Player Notes
For The Last 15 Days

Steven Jackson, RB, ATL2/26/2015 7:54:00 PM
Description: The Falcons released running back Steven Jackson.
Insight: Jackson will have trouble finding work, but could have a chance to earn a roster spot as a backup. He likely will not be relevant in 2015 no matter what. For now, Devonta Freeman is atop the depth chart in Atlanta.
Reggie Bush, RB, DET2/25/2015 5:56:00 PM
Description: The Lions have released running back Reggie Bush.
Insight: It will be interesting to see where Bush winds up. His day as a lead back are over, but he definitely still holds value. Joique Bell will be a borderline RB1 for 2015.
Peyton Hillis, RB, NYG2/25/2015 2:44:00 PM
Description: The Giants released running back Peyton Hillis.
Insight: Hillis is the definition of a one-hit wonder, rushing for 1,177 yards in 2010 with the Browns and just 1,258 in the four years since then. Hillis has also seen his last two seasons end with concussions.
DeAngelo Williams, RB, CAR2/23/2015 3:59:00 PM
Description: Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams has been released, according to Molly Grantham of WBTV.
Insight: Williams rushed for just 219 yards this season. That's a far cry from the 1,515 yards and league-leading 18 touchdowns in 2008. He played just six games due to injury. This move should help Jonathan Stewart for next season.
Adrian Peterson, RB, MIN2/18/2015 10:24:00 AM
Description: Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said he expects Adrian Peterson to be on the team next season.
Insight: Essentially the entire Vikings' front office has voiced support for Peterson, making it look likely that he will be back with Minnesota. The team may want to trim his $15.4 million against the cap for 2015.
Frank Gore, RB, SFX2/16/2015 1:46:00 PM
Description: 49ers free agent tunning back Frank Gore apparently isn't on the same page as management when it comes to signing a contract, according to his own Instagram page.
Insight: "I know the fans love me, but I need to know if the management does," said Gore, who has rushed for more than 1,100 yards the past foru seasons. If the rift continues, Gore's backup Carlos Hyde could be a keeper.
