Insight: He's been battling a groin injury. Damian Lillard played almost the whole game without Williams in the lineup for Game 3 (43 minutes). We're expecting another heavy workload for him in Game 4.
Mo Williams, PG5/12/2014 1:53:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Mo Williams (groin) is doubtful to play in Game 4 of the team's second-round series against the Spurs on Monday.

Mo Williams, PG5/9/2014 8:21:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Mo Williams (groin) isn't expected to play in Game 3 of the team's second-round series against the Spurs on Saturday, according to Erik Gundersen of The Columbian.
Insight: Williams sustained a groin injury in Game 6 of the first round against the Rockets and left Game 2 Thursday night after aggravating the injury. Earl Watson and Will Barton will see more minutes in Williams' absence as Portland tries to avoid going down three games to none.
Nicolas Batum, F5/9/2014 9:28:00 AM
Description: Portland small forward Nic Batum registered 21 points, nine rebounds and two assists Thursday in a loss to San Antonio.
Insight: That's more points than Batum had in his previous two games combined (16). Batum, an average three-point shooter at best, made 3-of-5 from that distance on Thursday. The 44 minutes he logged were his most since playing 45 against Houston in Game 4 of the first round.

Insight: Williams says he'll play through the injury. "It's the playoffs, man," Williams said. "I got to grind it out. The (expletive) hurts, but I'm going to do what I can."
LaMarcus Aldridge, F5/3/2014 9:20:00 AM
Description: LaMarcus Aldridge was outstanding in Friday's win over Houston.
Insight: The Portland forward delivered 30 points, 13 rebounds and two assists. With the exception of Wednesday's Game 5 when the Rockets limited him to just eight points on 3-of-12 shooting, Aldridge had a spectacular series (29.8 ppg, 11.2 rpg in six games) and was probably the best player on the court for either team.
Damian Lillard, PG5/3/2014 9:08:00 AM
Description: Damian Lillard hit the shot of his life Friday in Portland's series-clinching win over Houston.
Insight: With the Trail Blazers down by two and less than a second remaining, Nic Batum inbounded the ball to Lillard (25 points on 8-of-14 shooting) who sunk the game-winner from 25 feet out. Rockets coach Kevin McHale is going to get a lot of heat for this one because Houston still had a foul to give when Lillard put up his shot. It's the first time the Blazers have advanced past the first round since 2000.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F5/2/2014 11:19:00 AM
Description: Portland PF LaMarcus Aldridge was as hot as a firecracker in the first two games of the series, but has cooled off significantly in the last three.
Insight: Aldridge was averaging an obscene 44.5 ppg, 13.0 rpg, 2.5 bpg as Portland took a 2-0 lead in the series, but has averaged 20 ppg and 9.3 over the past three as his team lost two of them.
LaMarcus Aldridge, FHot4/25/2014 10:02:00 AM
Description: Portland PF LaMarcus Aldridge is hotter than any player in the league through the first two games of the series with Houston.
Insight: Aldridge is averaging an obscene 44.5 ppg, 13.0 rpg, 2.5 bpg. It's strange that the Rockets haven't been doubling him much and it they don't start he'll be a must start in every game for the remainder of the series.
Mo Williams, PG4/16/2014 9:25:00 PM
Description: Blazers guard Mo Williams won't be available Wednesday against L.A. SOURCE: Casey Holdahl, Blazers.com
Insight: Williams and LaMarcus Aldridge are both getting some rest with the playoffs just four days away. He'll finish the regular season with 9.4 ppg in 74 contests.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F4/16/2014 9:13:00 PM
Description: Portland won't play LaMarcus Aldridge Wednesday against the Clippers. SOURCE: Caset Holdahl, Blazers.com
Insight: He's just getting some rest. Aldridge slumped a bit in the second half (21.0 ppg on 42.9 percent shooting) but he's still one of the top power forwards in fantasy basketball. The Trail Blazers open their postseason slate Sunday against Houston.
Mo Williams, PG4/15/2014 8:33:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Mo Williams might not play in Wednesday's regular season finale. SOURCE: Mike Tokito, The Oregonian
Insight: The Blazers have already locked up the No. 5 seed and have nothing to gain from winning Wednesday night's contest against the Clippers. It might be in Portland's best interest to rest Williams (9.7 ppg, 4.3 apg) and some of the team's other important players with the postseason only a few days away.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F4/15/2014 8:26:00 PM
Description: The Trail Blazers are considering giving LaMarcus Aldridge the night off Wednesday against the Clippers. SOURCE: Mike Tokito, The Oregonian
Insight: Though Portland is only one game behind Houston for the No. 4 seed, the Rockets hold the tiebreaker because they won three out of four against the Blazers during the regular season. That essentially makes Wednesday's game meaningless. Even if Aldridge (23.2 ppg, 11.1 rpg) and the usual starters do play tomorrow night, they'll probably be on a minutes restriction.
Mo Williams, PG4/11/2014 5:40:00 PM
Description: Portland guard Mo Williams (rest) will return to the lineup Friday, according to Joe Freeman of The Oregonian.
Insight: Williams has been playing through knee soreness since mid-March, so his absence Wednesday may have had something to do with that.
Mo Williams, PG4/9/2014 8:48:00 PM
Description: Portland guard Mo Williams will not play Wednesday against the Kings, according to Joe Freeman of The Oregonian.
Insight: Williams has been playing through knee soreness since mid-March, so his absence Wednesday may have something to do with that. Damian Lillard, Wesley Matthews, Earl Watson, C.J. McCollum and Dorell Wright will absorb Williams' minutes.
LaMarcus Aldridge, FCold3/29/2014 9:41:00 AM
Description: Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge looked out of sorts Friday in a win against the Bulls.

Aldridge has slumped badly in the second half of the season, averaging just 18.7 ppg across nine appearances. Back problems have obviously played a major role in his decline.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F3/27/2014 9:47:00 PM
Description: Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge (back) had 25 points and 16 rebounds over 32 minutes in his return to the lineup Thursday at Atlanta.
Insight: Aldridge missed the last seven games due to a lower-back contusion but had been ready to return for a few days. He just needed to get in a practice session with the team. Dorell Wright started all seven games Aldridge missed but played just 10 minutes Thursday.
Mo Williams, PG3/27/2014 5:34:00 PM
Description: Portland guard Mo Williams (knee) will play Thursday against the Hawks, according to csnnw.com.

Robin Lopez, C3/25/2014 9:31:00 PM
Description: Blazers center Robin Lopez had a season-high 20 points to go with 13 boards and to blocks Tuesday at Orlando.
Insight: Lopez hasn't been quite as good in March as he was in February (11.2 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 2.6 bpg), but he still has averaged 11.9 ppg, 8.1 rpg and 1.7 bpg this month.
Mo Williams, PG3/25/2014 8:31:00 PM

Description: Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge (back) is most likely to return Thursday which would mean one more game on the sidelines, according to Chris B. Haynes of csnnw.com.

Dorell Wright, F3/22/2014 10:06:00 PM
Description: Though he missed all three of his 3-point attempts, Portland forward Dorell Wright was one of the lone bright spots in a blowout loss at Charlotte Saturday night.
Insight: Wright had 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting and six rebounds in 24 minutes. He has started in place of LaMarcus Aldridge (lower back contusion) the last five games and averaged 12.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg and 2.0 triples in that span.

Dorell Wright has averaged 11 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 threes in his last four games. Mo Williams, Thomas Robinson and Victor Claver also have seen increased minutes with Aldridge out.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F3/22/2014 11:19:00 AM
Description: Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge isn't likely to play in Saturday's game against Charlotte.
Insight: Saturday's game in Charlotte seems like a longshot though Aldridge (23.4 ppg, 11.1 rpg) will travel with the team on its five-game road trip.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F3/20/2014 8:43:00 PM
Description: Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge won't participate in Thursday's game against Washington. SOURCE: Joe Freeman, The Oregonian
Insight: It's the fourth game he's missed with a bruised back. Saturday's game in Charlotte seems like a longshot though Aldridge (23.4 ppg, 11.1 rpg) will travel with the team on its five-game road trip. Consider him day-to-day.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F3/20/2014 10:20:00 AM
Description: Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge (back contusion) missed Tuesday's game and is doubtful for Thursday, according to coach Terry Stotts.

Dorell Wright, F3/14/2014 10:32:00 PM
Description: Blazers forward Dorell Wright started in place of LaMarcus Aldridge (back) Friday and had 15 points, four rebounds, four threes and three assists in 28 minutes.

Insight: Aldridge didn't shoot the ball particularly well (just 10-of-27) but he still managed to eclipse his season average of 23.6 ppg. He's averaged 29 ppg since his terrible 1-for-13 outing against the Hawks earlier this week.
Nicolas Batum, F3/8/2014 5:01:00 PM
Description: According to trailblazers.com, the report that Nicolas Batum sustained a broken nose Friday against the Mavericks is inaccurate.

Nicolas Batum, F3/8/2014 4:41:00 PM
Description: Portland small forward Nic Batum broke his nose during Friday's game, according to csnnw.com's Chris Hayes.
Insight: Portland is seeking a protective covering for Batum's face in advance of Sunday's game against the Rockets, Batum's agent said. He was able to play through the injury Friday but now that the Trail Blazers know his nose is broken they won't put him on the court without a mask.
Damian Lillard, PG3/5/2014 8:57:00 PM
Description: Portland guard Damian Lillard is active for Wednesday's game against Atlanta. SOURCE: Chris Haynes, Comcast Sportsnet Northwest
Insight: Lillard missed practice Tuesday because of a stomach bug but he seems to be feeling much better today. The 23-year-old is averaging 20.1 ppg at home this season.
Thomas Robinson, PF3/5/2014 10:24:00 AM
Description: Blazers forward Thomas Robinson (knee strain) is "still in the process of rehabbing" from a left patella tendon strain, coach Terry Stotts said, according to The Oregonian.
Insight: Robinson received a chance to play more minutes when LaMarcus Aldridge was out of the lineup, but his injury put a stop to that and Aldridge has since returned. Robinson will miss his fourth straight game Wednesday.
Damian Lillard, PG3/4/2014 4:53:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard sat out of Tuesday's practice with a stomach illness, but he is probable to play Wednesday, according to Chris Haynes of csnnw.com.

Nicolas Batum, F3/2/2014 10:19:00 AM
Description: Portland small forward Nic Batum was all over the glass Saturday in a win over Denver.
Insight: Batum's 16 rebounds were a career-high. Unfortunately, he only shot 3-of-10 from the field for nine points. Batum is one of just six players averaging at least ten points, five rebounds and five assists this season. Michael Carter-Williams, Kevin Durant, Gordon Hayward, LeBron James and Lance Stephenson are the others.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F3/1/2014 9:02:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge is active for Saturday's game against Denver. SOURCE: Erik Gunderson, The Columbian
Insight: A groin injury kept Aldridge sidelined for a week and a half. His return bumps Dorell Wright (4.6 ppg) out of the starting lineup.
Thomas Robinson, PF2/28/2014 5:08:00 PM
Description: Blazers forward Thomas Robinson (knee) didn't practice Friday, according to Chris Haynes of csnnw.com.
Insight: Robinson has a strained left patella tendon and probably won't play Saturday. LaMarcus Aldridge practiced and is looking likely to play Saturday, so even if Robinson can somehow play he won't be a fantasy option.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F2/28/2014 3:40:00 PM
Description: Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge (groin) made it through a full practice on Friday without incident and could be ready to go on Saturday.
Insight: Aldridge has missed five straight games with a groin injury, but that could come to an end if he is ok through the morning shootaround. Fantasy owners have not had any Blazer options that posted anything close to Aldridge's 23.9 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 2.8 apg. Damian Lillard was a fantasy monster with Aldridge out of the lineup.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F2/26/2014 8:31:00 PM
Description: Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge (groin) will miss Wednesday's game against the Nets, according to Joe Freeman of the Oregonian.
Insight: Aldridge will miss his fifth straight game with a groin injury. With Aldridge, Thomas Robinson, Joel Freeland and Meyers Leonard out, the Blazers will be extremely thin up front and will need Robin Lopez to continue to hold down the fort.
Thomas Robinson, PF2/26/2014 8:28:00 PM
Description: Blazers forward Thomas Robinson will not play Wednesday due to a left patella tendon strain, according to Joe Freeman of the Oregonian.
Insight: Robinson's X-rays and MRI results both were negative. The injury comes at a terrible time for the 22-year-old Robinson, as he has finally been getting a chance to play with LaMarcus Aldridge, Joel Freeland and Meyers Leonard out. We should see plenty of Robin Lopez, who has averaged 11.8 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks his last eight games, again on Wednesday, and Dorell Wright also will get some extra playing time.
Thomas Robinson, PF2/26/2014 9:34:00 AM
Description: Blazers forward Thomas Robinson injured his knee Tuesday night against Denver. He left after playing just 14 minutes.
Insight: Robinson tried to play through the ailment for a little while but he just didn't look like himself (two points on 1-of-5 shooting). Don't count on him to play Wednesday against the Nets.
Damian Lillard, PGHot2/26/2014 9:27:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard would not be denied Tuesday in a 100-95 victory over Denver.
Insight: With LaMarcus Aldridge sidelined, Lillard (31 points, seven rebounds, nine assists) has been forced to play a much bigger role on offense for Portland. Over his last four games, the 23-year-old has averaged 30.5 ppg on 50 percent shooting. He's spread out 27 assists during that same span (6.8 apg).
LaMarcus Aldridge, F2/25/2014 8:39:00 PM
Description: Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge is still out with a groin injury. SOURCE: The Oregonian
Insight: He won't suit up Tuesday versus Denver although Aldridge (23.9 ppg, 11.4 rpg) was seen taking shots before the game. It's 50/50 whether he plays Wednesday against the Nets.
Thomas Robinson, PF2/25/2014 8:38:00 PM
Description: Portland power forward Thomas Robinson is coming off a 14-point, 18-rebound, two-block game Sunday and probably will play a big role again Tuesday with LaMarcus Aldridge (groin) still sidelined.
Insight: Aldridge, Joel Freeland and Meyers Leonard are all out, leaving more minutes for Robinson, Victor Claver, Dorell Wright and Mo Williams. Robinson, the 2012 No. 5 overall pick, played a career-high 33 minutes Sunday and had his first double-double of the season.
Nicolas Batum, F2/23/2014 12:08:00 PM
Description: Blazers forward Nicolas Batum (illness) will play Sunday against Minnesota, according to csnnw.com, according to csnnw.com.
Insight: Batum (12.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.3 assists) has been dealing with an illness since Wednesday and nearly threw up during Friday's game. He's feeling a little better, however.
Nicolas Batum, F2/21/2014 8:32:00 PM
Description: Blazers forward Nicolas Batum is active for Friday's game against Utah. Batum sat out practice Thursday because of flu-like symptoms. SOURCE: Casey Holdahl, Blazers.com
Insight: Batum hasn't missed a game yet this season. The Trail Blazers still don't have a viable option behind Batum (12.8 ppg, 5.4 apg, 6.4 rpg) at small forward so he should see plenty of minutes on Friday.
Nicolas Batum, F2/21/2014 3:40:00 PM
Description: Portland small forward Nicolas Batum missed Thursday's practice and is questionable for Friday's game against San Antonio due to illness.
Insight: The Blazers don't have a reliable backup at small forward so Batum when Batum is out and will LaMarcus Aldridge already sidelined, Damian Lillard and Weslwy Matthews should have huge nights.
Thomas Robinson, PF2/18/2014 10:26:00 PM
Description: With LaMarcus Aldridge (groin), Meyers Leonard (ankle) and Joel Freeland (knee) all out, Thomas Robinson is about to have his role expanded.
Insight: Aldridge will miss at least a week with a groin strain, Leonard will sit out 2-3 weeks with an ankle sprain and Freeland is out until mid-March with a sprained MCL. Robinson was the No. 5 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft but he is already with his third NBA franchise and has averaged just 11 minutes, 4.2 points and 3.7 rebounds this season. C.J. McCollum, Dorell Wright and Mo Williams also will have to play more.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F2/18/2014 10:16:00 PM

Description: Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge (groin) missed Tuesday's practice to have his injury reevaluated, according to Joe Freeman of The Oregonian.

LaMarcus Aldridge, F2/12/2014 10:16:00 AM
Description: Despite a shaky outing Tuesday against OKC, Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge expects to suit up Wednesday versus the Clippers. SOURCE: Joe Freeman, The Oregonian
Insight: He's really beat up right now but the magnitude of tonight's game is just too much for Aldridge to pass up. It's fine to start Aldridge but fantasy owners shouldn't expect him to put up his usual 24 ppg.
Joel Freeland, F2/12/2014 9:37:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers center Joel Freeland sprained his right MCL Tuesday in a loss to Oklahoma City. SOURCE: Chris Haynes, Comcast Sportsnet Northwest

Description: Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge didn't look like himself Tuesday against Oklahoma City.
Insight: Aldridge (12 points on 5-for-22 shooting) almost sat out because of soreness and it was clear he was operating at less than 100 percent throughout the game. It might be in the Blazers' best interest to rest their beat-up star Wednesday against the Clippers.

Insight: Aldridge racked up 27 points and 15 boards Saturday compared to 27 and 16 Tuesday versus the Grizzlies. The 28-year-old's remarkable consistency is a big reason why he's headed to his third All-Star Game in as many seasons.

Description: Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge bounced back from an off shooting night by scoring 27 points Tuesday in a loss to Memphis.

Batum averages 13.2 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 5.7 apg, 1.0 spg, 1.9 threes per contest - in other words he's a box score filler.

Insight: It's anyone's guess where Oden will end up. The Pelicans were making a strong push for him but then again so were the Kings and Hawks. The Heat, Spurs and Mavericks should also be in the mix. Oden hasn't appeared in an NBA game in almost four years.
