Description: Running back Ryan Mathews and the Eagles have agreed to a three-year, $11.5 million contract according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Insight: The Eagles might not be done adding running back as the team could still draft one in the middle rounds next month. Mathews is Chip Kelly's consolation prize after he couldn't sign Mark Ingram or Frank Gore. Similar to new Philadelphia quarterback Sam Bradford, Mathews has high upside but is injury prone. He has played all 16 games just once in five NFL seasons.

Description: Chargers running back Ryan Mathews salvaged his fantasy day with a fourth quarter touchdown against the Ravens.
Insight: Mathews gained just 38 yards on 13 carries, but it was likely due to the tough matchup versus the Ravens run defense. Unfortunately, the schedule doesn't get much easier for Mathews as the Chargers face New England, Denver, San Francisco and Kansas City the last four weeks.

Description: Chargers running back Ryan Mathews appears to have suffered a sprained MCL, according to a Union-Tribune San Diego report.
