Goalie Player Notes
For The Last 15 Days

Devan Dubnyk, G, MIN5/5/2015 10:46:00 PM
Description: Wild goaltender Devin Dubnyk made 21 saves in the, 1-0, loss to the Blackhawks in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals on Tuesday.
Insight: Dubnyk wasn't himself in Games 1 and 2, allowing seven goals on 58 shots in those two games. He was much better in Game 3, but Minnesota's offense has vanished. Corey Crawford probably has something to do with that.
Corey Crawford, G, CHI5/5/2015 10:43:00 PM
Description: Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford stopped all 30 Wild shots in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals for his fourth career postseason shutout. Chicago won, 1-0.
Insight: This was by far Crawford's best game of this postseason. He seems to be finding his groove as Crawford has allowed just one goal in the last seven periods. He has a .957 save percentage in the series. Chicago leads, 3-0.
Henrik Lundqvist, G, NYR5/4/2015 10:12:00 PM
Description: Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist made 21 saves on 22 shots in Game 3 versus the Capitals, but it wasn't enough as Washington edged New York, 1-0.
Insight: The only goal Lundqvist allowed was a bad angle shot taken from Jay Beagle. The Capitals center just put the puck on goal from behind the net, and it bounced off Lundqvist's stretched out skate and into the net. Lundqvist is 5-3 with a .934 save percentage this postseason, but Washington leads the series, 2-1.
Braden Holtby, G, WAS5/4/2015 10:09:00 PM
Description: Capitals netminder Braden Holtby stopped all 30 shots he faced in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Monday.
Insight: Washington needed every single one of those saves, winning, 1-0. That was Holtby's first shutout of the postseason. He has allowed just four goals in the first three games versus the Rangers in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Holtby is 5-4 with a .942 save percentage this postseason. Washington leads New York, 2-1, in the series. Holtby made 31 saves in the, 2-1, victory. He also helped the Capitals kill two penalties. Washington has not allowed a power-play goal in eight playoff games this spring. Washington has a, 1-0, series lead.
Carey Price, G, MON5/3/2015 9:32:00 PM
Description: Canadiens goaltender Carey Price allowed six goals for the first time this season as Montreal defeated Tampa Bay, 6-2, in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Sunday.
Insight: None of the goals were Price's fault. Tampa Bay had some incredible passes, which led to wide open nets and unsavable chances. Montreal's defense was awful, and the team continued to take penalties and put Price in bad situations. Tampa Bay went 4-for-8 on the man advantage in the game. Price finished the game with 18 saves on 24 chances.
Braden Holtby, G, WAS4/30/2015 10:23:00 PM
Description: Capitals netminder Braden Holtby had an outstanding Game 1 versus the Rangers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Thursday.
Insight: Holtby made 31 saves in the, 2-1, victory. He also helped the Capitals kill two penalties. Washington has not allowed a power-play goal in eight playoff games this spring. Washington has a, 1-0, series lead.
Henrik Lundqvist, G, NYR4/30/2015 10:21:00 PM
Description: Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist played well in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals versus the Capitals, but he allowed a bad goal that cost New York the game.
Insight: With 1.3 seconds left, Joel Ward slipped the pick right below Lundqvist's pad to win, 2-1. Ward was wide open right in front of the net, but Ludnqvist usually stops that shot. Capitals take a, 1-0, series lead.
Petr Mrazek, G, DET4/29/2015 10:15:00 PM
Description: Red Wings goalie Petr Mrazek allowed just one goal in the Game 7 loss to the Lightning on Wednesday.
Insight: Mrazek only had to make 15 saves, but that wasn't enough as Tampa Bay scored on a one-timer in the third period to win. Mrazek had no chance to make the save. Tampa Bay added an empty-net goal and won, 2-0. Surely, the media will begin speculating what will happen to Red Wings coach Mike Babcock this offseason.
Ben Bishop, G, TAM4/29/2015 10:13:00 PM
Description: Lightning goalie Ben Bishop stopped all 31 shots he faced in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against the Red Wings as Tampa Bay won, 2-0.
Insight: It was only the second time Detroit outshot Tampa Bay in the series, and the Red Wings nearly doubled the Lightning's shot total, 31-16. Bishop also appeared nervous to start the game, but he and his team settled down. With the shutout, Tampa Bay wins the series and advances to the next round to face the Montreal Canadiens.
Jake Allen, G, STL4/26/2015 6:04:00 PM
Description: Blues goalie Jake Allen was pulled during Sunday's Game 6 against the Wild.
Insight: He was not sharp, allowing two goals on just 13 shots. Brian Elliott took over and allowed one goal on seven total shots.
Devan Dubnyk, G, MIN4/26/2015 6:01:00 PM
Description: Wild goaltender Devin Dubnyk defeated the Blues Sunday to help Minnesota advance.

Corey Crawford, G, CHI4/26/2015 11:50:00 AM
Description: Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford saved the day in Game 6 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals as he replaced Scott Darling in the first period and stopped all 13 shots he faced, and Chicago won, 4-3.
Insight: Nashville jumped on Scott Darling in the first period, scoring three of the first four goals in the game, but Crawford came on and the Blackhawks settled down. After falling behind, 2-0, Chicago tied the score, 3-3, at the end of the first period. Duncan Keith's goal late in the third won Game 6 and the series. Chicago won the series, 4-2, and will play the winner of the Blues versus the Wild in the next round.
Petr Mrazek, G, DET4/25/2015 9:00:00 PM
Description: Red Wings goalie Petr Mrazek recorded his second shutout of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals as Detroit beat Tampa Bay, 4-0, in Game 5 on Saturday.
Insight: Mrazek stopped all 28 shots he faced. Even with the hiccup in Game 3 where Mrazek allowed four goals on 18 shots, he has posted a .940 save percentage and 1.91 GAA. Detroit leads the series, 3-2.
Jaroslav Halak, G, NYI4/25/2015 6:18:00 PM
Description: Islanders goalie Jaroslav Halak had his best game of the series in Game 6 to help New York strave off elimination, beating Washington, 3-1, on Saturday in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.
Insight: Halak made 38 saves on 39 shots in what could be the final game at the Nassau Coliseum. The Islanders will have to win Game 7 on Monday in order to ensure more home games. Halak has a .913 save percentage and a 2.61 GAA in the series.
Braden Holtby, G, WAS4/25/2015 6:15:00 PM
Description: Capitals netminder Braden Holtby had a solid Game 6, but Washington only scored once as the New York Islanders won, 3-1, in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on Saturday.
Insight: Holtby made 35 saves on 37 chances, but it wasn't enough as his counterpart, Jaroslav Halak, only allowed one goal. The final New York goal was an empty-netter. Holtby is 2-3 in the series, but he has allowed just two goals in the last 58 shots he has faced. Game 7 is on Monday.
Jaroslav Halak, G, NYI4/23/2015 9:35:00 PM
Description: Islanders goalie Jaroslav Halak was pulled in Game 5 on Thursday night.
