Description: Trail Blazers small forward Nicolas Batum led the team with 27 points in the Game 3 loss versus the Grizzlies in the Western Conference Quarterfinals on Saturday.
Insight: Batum shot 50 percent from both the field and from the 3-point line, hitting six 3-pointers. He also had six rebounds and four assists, but it was enough to help the Trail Blazers to its first victory in the series. Memphis leads, 3-0.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge posted a double-double during Wednesday's Game 2 loss to the Grizzlies.
Insight: He shot just 7-of-20 from the field, but did go 9-of-10 from the line for 24 points, 13 boards, one assist, one 3-pointer, four blocks, two steals, and four turnovers. If Portland loses this series, it will be interesting to see if Aldridge bolts in free agency this summer.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge led Portland with 32 points in the blowout loss in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals versus the Grizzlies.
Insight: Aldridge was 13-for-34 on his way to 32 points and 14 rebounds. He also had four blocks in his 42 minutes. Memphis' defense was suffocating Portland in the first half and at one point, the Trail Blazers were behind by 28 points. It could be a short series for Aldridge and the Trail Blazers.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard led the team with 28 points in the loss to the Jazz on Saturday.
Insight: LaMarcus Aldridge didn't play, so Lillard was the focal point of the offense. He took 22 shots, making 12 of them and had five assists, five rebounds and two steals. Lillard is averaging 21.2 ppg, 6.2 apg and 4.7 rpg this season.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard was 4-for-11 from the field in the, 120-114, victory over the Nuggets on Saturday.
Insight: The poor shooting night led to just eight points for Lillard although he did have 10 assists, three rebounds and a steal. Lillard is in a big of a slump, shooting 33.3 percent from the field in the last three games.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge had a game-high 32 points in the, 120-114, victory over the Nuggets on Saturday.
Insight: Aldridge was 13-for-20 from the field and 5-of-6 at the line. He also had 11 rebounds and two assists. Aldridge has continued to play despite his torn thumb ligament, averaging 23.5 ppg and 8.5 rpg in the last five games. He needs to remain in lineups.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard C.J. McCollum scored a career-high 23 points off the bench in the loss to the Warriors on Tuesday.
Insight: McCollum shot 50 percent from the field, hitting three 3-pointers. He also had three steals, two assists and one rebound. With injuries decimating Portland, McCollum is worth a look in standard leagues.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard led Portland with 29 points in the loss to the Warriors on Tuesday.
Insight: Without LaMarcus Aldridge, Lillard took more than twice as many shots as any other Portland starter. He hit more 3-pointers, six, than any other starter had field goals. Lillard also had seven rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block.
Description: Portland center Chris Kaman did not play on Saturay due to a shoulder injury and is doubtful for Tuesday against Golden State.
Insight: Kaman could be joined by LaMarcus Aldridge and Nicolas Batum. Portland is running out of big man that fantasy owners can start. Robin Lopez could have fantasy value if the three players listed don't play.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) is doubtful for Tuesday's game.
Insight: Aldridge missed Monday's practice. The Blazers can't win in the playoffs without the big man, so for them losing a game in March is preferable to at playoff time. Fantasy owners won't agree. Meyers Leonard should see an increase in playing time, but has little fantasy value.
Description: Trail Blazers small forward Nicolas Batum continued his strong play on Monday night.
Insight: Batum did shoot just 4-of-12 from the field, but that was his only blemish in the game. He finished with 12 points, 14 boards, five assists, two 3-pointers, one steal, one block, and two turnovers.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard, off a 1-of-13 effort on Wednesday, was better Thursday night against Dallas.
Insight: He still wasn't back to his normal self, but he did go 4-of-10 for 14 points, six rebounds and five assists. With Wes Matthews out for the season, the Trail Blazers will need Lillard to start scoring again.
Description: Guard Arron Afflalo should see a significant increase to his fantasy value after Thursday's night's season-ending injury to Wes Matthews.
Insight: Afflalo had only been averaging 8.7 ppg while playing around 27 minutes, but those numbers should both increase for the remainder of the season. Afflalo averaged 14.5 ppg with Denver this season and that number should be reachable.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard missed his first 12 shots, but helped his team and fantasy owners in other ways.
Insight: Lillard shot 1-of-13 from the field, but hauled down 18 rebounds and dished out four assists. with his five points. He lost his patience near the end taking a few wild shots, but we like that he helped his team to the overtime victory on a horrible shooting night.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge will not play on Sunday due to a right thumb sprain.
Insight: Aldridge is playing through ligament damage to his left thumb, but the sprain is in his other thumb, on his shooting hand. Aldridge was shooting during practice on Sunday, so hopefully he is sitting just as a precaution. Chris Kaman, Meyers Leonard and Dorell Wright will play more on Sunday without Aldridge.
Description: Nuggets guard Arron Afflalo has been traded to Portland and his fantasy value should take a significant hit.
Insight: Afflalo will have to back up Wes Matthews in Portland so his 33 mpg will see a huge drop. He was averaging 14.5 ppg in Denver, but will have to find his opportunities behind LaMarcus Aldridge, Damian Lillard and Nicolas Batum. Sit him until you see how it all plays out.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard shot 60 percent from the field on his way to 23 points as Portland beat Houston, 109-98, on Sunday.
Insight: Lillard also had five rebounds, five assists and was 10-of-11 from the free-throw line. Lillard is averaging 21.2 ppg, 6.0 apg and 5.0 rpg in the last five games. Deservingly, Lillard has been added to the All-Star roster, replacing the injured Blake Griffin.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge led the team with 24 points on Sunday.
Insight: Aldridge was 8-of-17 from the field and 8-for-8 at the line. He also had five rebounds, two blocks, two assists and two steals. Even with his injury, Aldridge is a must-start because of these types of nights.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard is not happy about not being named to the All-Star team and that could be good for fantasy owners.
Insight: "It ain't always gone be peaches and cream, but somebody has to pay for the reason it's not," said Lillard. Sounds like someone is going to see an intense basketball player this evening in Atlanta. Lillard is having a great season, averaging 22 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 6.2 apg, 1.4 steals and 2.7 three-pointers per night.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge scored 38 points but it wasn't enough versus the LeBron James-less Cavaliers.
Insight: That's because Kyrie Irving dropped 55 points, nailing 11 3-pointers. Aldridge may have been overshadowed, but he was stellar himself, going 13-of-23 with 11 rebounds. He also was 10-for-10 at the line.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard's owners will have to wait until his next start against Cleveland Wednesday as it appears the Portland-Brooklyn game has been postponed by the expected snowstorm in the New York area Monday night.
Insight: Lillard is having a great season, averaging 22 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 6.2 apg, 1.4 steals and 2.7 three-pointers per night.
Description: Portland shooting guard/small forward Dorell Wright made the best of the opportunity of the absence of starter Nicolas Batum Saturday night.
Insight: Allen Crabbe started, but didn't take a shot on pull down a rebound in his shot time on the floor. Wright and Will Barton each played 20-plus minutes with Wright having the bigger impact (10 points, six rebounds, three assists).
Description: Allen Crabbe made the start at small forward Saturday night for the injured Nicolas Batum, but played just seven minutes and showed no signs of fantasy value.
Insight: Crabbe didn't take a shot or pull down a rebound in his short time on the floor. Dorell Wright and Will Barton each played 20-plus minutes with Wright having the bigger impact (10 points, six rebounds, three assists).
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard didn't have a very good night, but went 8-of-8 from the line to help save the day for his fantasy owners.
Insight: The surprise return of LaMarcus Aldridge stiffled some of the expected additional scoring we predicted from Lillard, but he's still an elite point guard. He finished Saturday night with 20 points, seven assists, three rebounds and a steal.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) went from expected to missd 6-8 weeks back to fantasy stud in a blink of an eye.
Insight: Aldridge decided to delay surgery on his left thumb for the good of the team and racked up a team-high 26 points on 9-for-22 shooting. He also hauled down nine rebounds and didn't seem to injury the thumb any further by playing. It appears it will be all about pain management and as long as he's out there he's a must-start.
Description: Trail Blazers small forward Nicolas Batum is out for Saturday's game versus the Wizards.
Insight: This is no surprise as Batum is still dealing with his wrist injury. There is no one player that will fill the void left by Batum, so fantasy owners will have to look outside of Portland to find a fantasy replacement for Saturday.
Description: Trail Blazers small forward Nicolas Batum is questionable for Saturday's game against Washington due to a sprained right wrist.
Insight: Just when he appeared ready to bust out, particularly with LaMarcus Aldridge sidelined for up to two months, Batum hit's a speed bump. After scoring 27 on Wednesday, Batum shot 0-for-6 from the field Thursday and was held scoreless in 22 minutes against Boston.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge has a cast on his thumb and is receiving another MRI Thursday according to The Sporting News.
Insight: Aldridge did not get a reading on his first MRI because of swelling, so he needs another one. The cast, however, cannot be great. It would be a huge surprise to see Aldridge in the lineup on Thursday.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard had a poor shooting night but did avoid an overall fantasy dud on Wednesday.
Insight: Lillard was just 6-of-22 from the field and shot 20 percent from the 3-point line. Lillard did make all eight of his free throws, though, and had 22 points, six assists, three rebounds and two steals.
Description: Trail Blazers small forward Nicolas Batum led Portland with 27 points in the loss to Phoenix on Wednesday.
Insight: Batum sunk an incredible six 3-pointers and grabbed 10 rebounds. He also had five assists and a block. As long as LaMarcus Aldridge is out, Batum has potential to have games like this, but he will likely not make six 3-pointers in a game again. Plus, once Aldridge returns, Batum returns to a much small fantasy contributor.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge left Monday night's game with a left thumb injury and has already been ruled out for Wednesday.
Insight: X-rays were negative, but he will not go with the team to Phoenix, instead he'll see a hand specialist. This is a huge blow for fantasy owners who cann't replace his 23.2 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 1.9 apg, 1.2 bpg. Thomas Tobinson would see more time, but he hasn't shown much fantasy value to date.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge left Monday night's game with a left thumb injury.
Insight: X-rays were negative, but he'll has additional tests Tuesday. This would be ahuge blow for fantasy owners who couldn't replace his 23.2 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 1.9 apg, 1.2 bpg. Thomas Tobinson would see more time, but he hasn't shown much fantasy value to date.
Description: Trail Blazers small forward Nicolas Batum is obviously over his sprained right wrist and back to being a multi-category contributor.
Insight: Batum posted 11 points, his first double-digit effort in four games, along with nine rebounds and six assists. The only upsetting part of his game is that even Chris Kaman is getting more shot attempts than Batum. We like it better when he's the fourth option, not the fifth.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard had a rare off night, shooting just 3-of-10 for 16 points.
Insight: Lillard did have five rebounds, five assists and a steal, but also turned it over four times. He appeared to tweak something in his back in the previous game, so fantasy owners should wonder if this result was effected by the injury.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge posted 24 points and 12 rebounds in a win against Miami Thursday night.
Insight: Aldridge shot 10-of-20 but with all his ballhandling didn't have a single assist. He's had one or zero assists in 12 of 32 games this season. The ball goes into the paint, but it doesn't come out very often.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard returned to earth after a 39-point Wednesday, scoring just 16 in 33 minutesl, Thursday against Miami.
Insight: Lillard appeared to tweak something in his back, so fantasy owners should watch his performance going forward. He's playing at a top-10 level this season averaging 22.1 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 6.3 apg, 1.4 spg so any loss of playing time would be a fantasy disaster.
Description: Portland shooting guard Wesley Matthews is dealing with a left knee injury and is questionable for Thursday's game against Miami.
Insight: Matthews (16.6 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.3 apg) hurt it in Monday's game but continued to play through it. He didn't have an MRI which is good news, but he was seen wearing a brace. Sounds like a game-time decision.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard was everywhere Monday night posting his best numbers in a couple of weeks.
Insight: Lillard posted 39 points with six rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block. he has continued to improve his game and his numbers. He's averaging career highs in points (22.2), rebounds (5.0), steals (1.5) and shooting percentage (.460).
Description: Trail Blazers center Joel Freeland injured his right shoulder Saturday night and is expected to miss at least two weeks.
Insight: Freeland is buried deep on the depth chart and doesn't see enough playing time to be of value to fantasy owners with his 3.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg average, but the Portland rotation will be confusing with Robin Lopez also sidelined by injury. Chris Kaman and Thomas Robinson should see extra playing time.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard lifted Portland over Toronto in overtime, 102-97, on Tuesday.
Insight: Lillard didn't shoot well, going 9-for-24, including 4-for-15 from the 3-point line, but he lead the team with 26 points. Lillard also set up his teammates as he had nine assists. Lillard is an elite fantasy player, averaging 21.9 ppg and 6.4 apg while shooting 45.8 percent.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard scored 28 points with five rebound and nine assists.
Insight: He had little trouble scoring against the Sixers in this one. We just wish he'd work on that turnover total which was an ugly seven in this blowout win over Philadelphia (114-93). It's at a career-high 2.7 this season.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard scored a career-high 43 points in the triple overtime thrilling victory over the Spurs.
Insight: Lillard shot 16-of-29 from the field, making four 3-pointers and shooting 7-for-8 at the free-throw line. Lillard also had six assists, three rebounds, two steals and a block. He is averaging 21.6 ppg, 6.2 apg and 5.1 rpg this season.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge had a monster game Friday night.
Insight: Aldridge scored 32 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in the, 129-119, triple overtime victory over the Spurs. Alridge was 13-for-27 from the field and made all five of his free throws. He also had five steals and two blocks. Aldridge is a top-option at the forward position.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard did not shoot well but managed to score 18 points on Saturday.
Insight: That's not enough for Lillard, who took 22 shots against the Pacers. Lilard missed all three of his 3-point attempts but did make all four free throws. He also had four assists, three rebounds and a steal.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge accumulated some great numbers on Saturday against the Pacers.
Insight: Aldridge took 23 shots, so with that number of opportunities, owners probably would want him to score more than 19 points. Still, owners will take the 19 points and 14 rebounds. Aldridge came into the game averaging 22.3 ppg and 9.9 rpg this season.
Description: Trail Blazers small forward Nicolas Batum twisted and ankle Sunday, but played through it.
Insight: As long as it doesn't swell up he should be good to go. Batum missed two weeks due to a knee bruise earlier this season.. His numbers are significantly down this season, but if he can get healthy he's capable of being a solid fantasy contributor in multiple categories.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard had x-rays done on his sore right hand, but they came back negative and he should be out there as always, according to Blazers beat reporter Erik Gundersen.
Insight: He is averaging 19.9 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 6.5 apg, and 1.5 spg. Lillard is easily a top-10 option who has not missed a game in three seasons, so no reason to leave him off your lineup card.
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard nearly had a double-double on Friday versus the Bulls.
Insight: Lillard led the Trail Blazers with 21 points, shooting 7-for-9 and making all four of his 3-pointers. He also had nine assists and six rebounds. Lillard is averaging 25.8 points and 8.4 assists in his last five games.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge (illness) missed Saturday's game and is questionalbe for Monday against New Orleans.
Insight: He has been battling an upper respiratory sickness, and it looks like Portland is going to give him some rest. The Blazers used a twin towers stategy on Saturday with centers Robin Lopez and Chris Kaman.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge (illness) is doubtful for Saturday's game. UPDATE: Aldridge will not play in Saturday's game against the Nets.
Insight: He has been battling an upper respiratory sickness, and it looks like Portland is going to give him some rest. Thomas Robinson is the candidate to see the most action, but Dorrell Wright will be mixed in as well.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge (illness) is doubtful for Saturday's game.
Insight: He has been battling an upper respiratory sickness, and it looks like Portland is going to give him some rest. Thomas Robinson is the candidate to see the most action, but Dorrell Wright will be mixed in as well.
Description: Blazers point guard Damian Lillard scored a season-high 29 points against the Hornets on Tuesday.
Insight: Lillard has scored at least 25 points in three of his last five games. He is averaging 20.2 ppg this month. He also had seven assists on Tuesday. Lillard has at least seven dimes in four of his last five games.
Description: Portland small forward Nicolas Batum will not play Tuesday, according to Blazers beat reporter Erik Gundersen.
Insight: Batum is dealing with a right knee contusion. His scoring is significantly down from last season. He's averaging just 9.0 ppg after a 13.0 ppg campaign, but he's still rebounding well (7.7) and dishing assists (5.7).
Description: Blazers center Robin Lopez played well in 32 minutes of action, Saturday against the Clippers.
Insight: Lopez was 7-of-10 from the floor and 5-of-7 from the line for 19 points. He also chipped in seven rebounds, two assists, one block, and two turnovers. Lopez will continue to be a solid option at center, as the season progresses.
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge posted a double-double in Saturday's loss to the Clippers.
Insight: He had 21 points and 10 rebounds, and although Aldridge was 6-of-6 from the line, he shot a poor 7-of-22 from the field. It was still solid production, but owners would like to see his field goal percentage improve next game.
Description: Blazers point guard Damian Lillard scored 20 points, but had a lousy shooting night on Friday.
Insight: He was 4-for-13 from the field, and all four buckets were actually 3-pointers, whch owners will like to see. However, while Lillard chipped in seven rebounds, he had only two assists. Expect the assists numbers to go up.
Description: Portland center Chris Kaman should be left on waivers for the upcoming fantasy baskeball season.
Insight: After averaging 10.4 points per game, 5.9 rebounds per game, and 1.0 blocked shots per game, last season with the Lakers, Kaman will most likely be unable to reach that production in 2014-15. Barring injury, stay away from Kaman.
Description: Blazers point guard Damian Lillard should be selectedin the second round of fantasy drafts.
Insight: He averaged 20.7 points per game, 5.6 assists per game andmade 2.7 three-pointers per game, last season. We would like to see his assist numbers go up, but that should not sway owners from taking him early in drafts.
Description: Portland shooting guard Wesley Matthews is coming off a fine statistical season.
Insight: He averaged 16.4 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game, 0.9 steals per game, while shooting 44 percent from the field, 39 percent from three, and 84 percent from the line. As a result, owners can take Matthews starting in the early-fifth round.

Insight: Batum is notable for filling stat sheets, as he averaged 13.0 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game, 5.1 assists per game, 0.9 steals per game, 0.7 blocks per game, while shooting 47 percent from the field, 36 percent from three-point land, and 80 percent from the free throw line last season. Batum should be off the board by the end of the second round.
Description: Blazers center Robin Lopez is a player that owners could forget about on draft day, but shouldn't.
Insight: He is not as sexy of a pick, as his brother Brook is, but Robin is a valauble fantasy player. He averaged 11.1 points per game, 8.5 rebounds per game (Brook averaged 6.0 RPG), and 1.7 blocks per game last season. Lopez enters 2014-15 as Portland's starting center, and fantasy owners can begin to think about drafting him, starting in the seventh round.
Description: Portland forward LaMarcus Aldridge will be looking to build off a career-season.
Insight: Last season, Aldridge averaged 23.2 points per game, 11.1 rebounds per game, and shot 82 percent from the free throw line, which were all career-highs. He also has career-averages of 1.0 blocks per game, 0.8 steals per game, and shoots 40 percent from the field. As a result, Aldridge should not fall further than the begining of the second round, and it would not be a poor decision, to take him at the end of the first.
