Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams will not return on Friday after suffering a strained right calf.
Insight: Williams has a history of leg injuries, so there is a chance he misses a few games. Stay tuned.
Sergey Karasev, G12/18/2014 2:08:00 PM
Description: Nets small forward Sergey Karasev is doubtful for Friday's game against Cleveland due to a strained left oblique.
Insight: Karasev is limited by a lack of playing time and lack of offensive game. He's averaging 4.0 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 0.7 apg and has no fantasy value.
Mason Plumlee, PF12/17/2014 10:32:00 PM
Description: Nets center Mason Plumlee started for Kevin Garnett and led the team in scoring Wednesday.
Insight: Plumlee was 9-of-13 with 23 points. He also had eight rebounds, two blocks and two assists, though, he didn't shoot well at the line (5-of-11). Garnett was only out to receive additional rest, but when that periodically happens this season, Plumlee is worth starting.
Kevin Garnett, C12/17/2014 6:44:00 PM
Description: Nets forward Kevin Garnett will get some additional rest and not play on Wednesday.
Insight: With the Nets playing the second game of a back-to-back Wednesday, Garnett will sit. Mason Plumlee and Mirza Teletovic will benefit.

Mirza Teletovic, F12/15/2014 4:02:00 PM
Description: Nets forward Mirza Teletovic is questionable for Tuesday's game against Miami due to a hip pointer.

Mason Plumlee, PFHot12/15/2014 4:00:00 PM
Description: Nets center Mason Plumlee Mason Plumlee has posted back-to-back double-doubles in the last two games.
Insight: Plumlee will be a good option as long as Brook Lopez is sidelined which is at least through the weekend.
Brook Lopez, C12/15/2014 3:58:00 PM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez (knee) will be evaluated next weekend, so he'll obviously continue to miss games until then.
Insight: Mason Plumlee will start and will make for a nice option in daily leagues. He's posted back-to-back double-doubles in the last two games.
Marcus Thornton, G12/15/2014 3:56:00 PM
Description: Celtics shooting guard Marcus Thornton will miss Monday's game against Philadelphia due to a strained left calf.
Insight: Since leaving Sacramento in 2012, Thornton's value had dropped significantly and right now is fantasy value is minimal. He's averaging just 8.2 ppg. Evan Turner should see plenty of work Monday against his old team.
Deron Williams, G12/13/2014 9:27:00 PM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams had 18 points and 10 assists on Saturday.
Insight: Williams did not shoot well, going 4-for-11, but he did make 3-of-4 3-pointers and all seven of his free-throw attempts. Williams also had two rebounds.

Description: Nets guard Joe Johnson (illness) says he will play against the Sixers Friday night.
Insight: Who wouldn't want a chance to run against the lowly Sixers. That will get anyone health quickly. Johnson is averaging 15.7 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 3.8 apg.
Brook Lopez, C12/11/2014 6:55:00 PM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez (knee) will not play Friday against Philadelphia.

Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams scored a team-high 17 points in a losing effort Wednesday against the Bulls.
Insight: He also had five assists, two rebounds, one 3-pointer, two steals, and two turnovers. Williams is not the player he used to be, but he is still a top-40 option.
Andrei Kirilenko, F12/10/2014 9:26:00 PM
Description: The Brooklyn Nets have traded forward Andrei Kirilenko to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Insight: The deal is not official quite yet, but Philadelphia will also receive a 2020 second round draft pick, the right to swap 2018 second rounders, and cash in exchange for Brandon Davies. Kirilenko will likely be waived, paving the way for him to sign with a contender.
Mirza Teletovic, F12/10/2014 10:06:00 AM
Description: Nets forward Mirza Teletovic is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Bulls due to a hip pointer.
Insight: If he misses the game, that's disappointing because the Nets are already without Brook Lopez and Teletovic would be in for a lot of minutes. Teletovic did make the trip with the team to Chicago, so make sure to check before tip off for Teletovic's official status. He should be in lineups on Wednesday if he starts.
Brook Lopez, C12/10/2014 10:03:00 AM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez is out for Wednesday's game against Bulls with a lower back strain.
Insight: Joe Johnson will miss the game as well due to the flu. Johnson should be back on Friday while it is unclear when Lopez will return.
Mirza Teletovic, F12/8/2014 10:45:00 PM
Description: Mirza Teletovic suffered a hip pointer and a facial laceration during Monday's game and did not return.
Insight: Teletovic needed four stitches for his face, and he will probably receive more evaluation for his hip pointer on Tuesday. That injury usually puts players out for a week or so.
Deron Williams, G12/8/2014 10:08:00 PM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams shot very poorly but still recorded a double-double on Monday.
Insight: Williams made 3-of-14 shots on his way to 13 points. He helped his point total, making 6-of-6 free throws. Williams also had 11 assists and two rebounds.
Mirza Teletovic, F12/8/2014 6:22:00 PM
Description: Mirza Teletovic will start on Monday in place of Brook Lopez.
Insight: Teletovic plays a lot with Kevin Garnett, so this makes sense. If fantasy owners need 3-pointers, Teletovic is a decent option on Monday versus the Cavaliers.
Joe Johnson, G/F12/8/2014 4:55:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Joe Johnson has been downgraded to out for Monday's game against Cleveland due to flu-like symptoms.
Insight: Johnson (15.7 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 3.8 apg) missed Sunday's practice session. Bojan Bogdanovic and Alan Anderson will get more floor time if Johnson sits this one out, but have limited upside. Bogdanovic isn't a great scorer, but can rebound. Anderson can get hot an put up points, but isn't much help elsewhere in the box score.
Mason Plumlee, PF12/8/2014 1:09:00 PM
Description: Nets center Mason Plumlee should get a week's worth of starts with Brook Lopez expected to miss time with a strained lower back.
Insight: Plumlee averaged just 7.0 ppg and 4.5 rpg in Lopez's last absence and isn't really fantasy worthy.
Brook Lopez, C12/8/2014 1:05:00 PM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez is out for Monday's game against Cleveland with a lower back strain.
Insight: Lopez (16.1 ppg, 6.2 rpg) is expected to miss about a week, according to the team's site. The guy just can't stay healthy. Mason Plumlee should get the start and could be of low-end fantasy value.
Joe Johnson, G/F12/8/2014 12:59:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Joe Johnson is questionable for Monday's game against Cleveland due to flu-like symptoms.
Insight: Johnson (15.7 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 3.8 apg) missed Sunday's practice session. Bojan Bogdanovic and Alan Anderson would get more floor time if Johnson sits this one out, but have limited upside. Bogdanovic isn't a great scorer, but can rebound. Anderson can get hot an put up points, but isn't much help elsewhere in the box score.
Brook Lopez, C12/5/2014 9:57:00 PM

Description: Mirza Teletovic led the Nets with 26 points in the overtime victory against the Spurs on Wednesday.
Insight: Teletovic shot 9-of-13, making five 3-pointers. He also grabbed 15 rebounds. It was a breakout game for Teletovic, who scored just 15 points in the prior three games combined.
Joe Johnson, G/F12/2/2014 10:13:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Joe Johnson scored 22 points, shooting 50 percent from the field on Tuesday.

Description: Nets center Brook Lopez led the team with 23 points in the, 98-93, victory over the Knicks on Tuesday.
Insight: Lopez shot 10-of-20 from the field and made 3-of-4 free throws. He also had eight rebounds and two assists.
Joe Johnson, G/F11/26/2014 9:26:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Joe Johnson scored a team-high 21 points during Wednesday's win over the 76ers.
Insight: He was very efficient in 34 minutes, going 8-of-12 from the field and 2-of-2 from the line. Johnson also had four assists, three 3-pointers, two rebounds, and one turnover.
Andrei Kirilenko, F11/25/2014 6:14:00 PM
Description: Nets forward Andrei Kirilenko is not with the team for personal reasons.
Insight: Kirilenko has been rumored in a number of trades, particularly with Philadelphia, but no matter where he ends up his time as a big-time fantasy asset are long over.
Deron Williams, G11/22/2014 10:39:00 PM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams played well in Saturday's loss to the Spurs.
Insight: He had 24 points, seven assists, five rebounds, two steals, two 3-pointers, two blocks, and three turnovers. Solid night for Williams.
Kevin Garnett, C11/22/2014 2:43:00 PM
Description: Nets forward Kevin Garnett will get some additional rest and not play on Saturday.
Insight: Garnett is averaging 23.9 minutes per game this season, but played 31 minutes on Wednesday in the triple-overtime loss to Milwaukee. Being Saturday is the second game of a back-to-back, the Nets have decided to rest Garnett.
Brook Lopez, C11/21/2014 10:48:00 PM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez had a double-double in the victory against the Thunder on Friday.
Insight: Lopez had 16 points and 10 rebounds. He hit 50 percent of his field goals and made all four of his free-throw attempts.
Jarrett Jack, G11/21/2014 10:45:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Jarrett Jack came off the bench to score 23 points and lead the Nets past the Thunder, 94-92.
Insight: Jack shot 8-for-15 in 31 minutes on Friday. He also had five assists and two rebounds. Jack is becoming a viable fantasy option. In his last five games, he is averaging 17.0 points per game while playing 28.4 minutes per game.
Brook Lopez, C11/19/2014 10:57:00 PM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez led the team with 26 points against the Bucks on Wednesday.
Insight: Brooklyn lost to Milwaukee, 122-118, in triple overtime. Lopez made 11-of-19 shots and had seven rebounds, three blocks, two assists and a steal.
Bojan Bogdanovic, F11/17/2014 10:05:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Bojan Bogdanovic was very efficient in Monday's loss to Miami.
Insight: He was 8-of-11 from the floor, 2-of-2 from the line, and 4-of-5 from beyond the arc, for 22 points. Bogdanovic also had three rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two turnovers. He can be kept on the waiver wire however, for the time being.
Brook Lopez, C11/16/2014 10:51:00 AM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez scored 21 points, shooting 10-for-17 on Saturday against the Trail Blazers.
Insight: Lopez did not contribute much on the boards, however, with just four rebounds. He also had two steals, a block and an assist.
Brook Lopez, C11/14/2014 10:19:00 AM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez had 18 points and five rebounds against Golden State Thursday night.
Insight: Lopez led the team with 17 shots, the most he's taken all season. It's still hard to believe a guy seven-feet tall can only average 5.5 rebounds per game. That total keeps him from being a more valuable fantasy asset.
Jarrett Jack, G11/14/2014 10:17:00 AM
Description: Nets guard Jarrett Jack, playing with the team's second unit, was a perfect 10-of-r 10 against Golden State in leading the team with 23 points.
Insight: New coach Lionel Hollins has played Jack next to starting point guard Deron Williams on occasion, but Jack will continue to be the first guard off the bench. As long as he gets his minutes, fantasy owners shouldn't care when they come.
Deron Williams, G11/9/2014 7:32:00 PM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams scored 18 points in Sunday's win versus Orlando.
Insight: He also had seven assists, four rebounds, two steals, and two turnovers. Owners should expect numbers like this, often.
Bojan Bogdanovic, F11/9/2014 7:30:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Bojan Bogdanovic played very well in Sunday's win over the Magic.
Insight: He had 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the floor, along with two 3-pointers. Bogdanovic also chipped in six rebounds, one assist, and two steals, but is not a recommended option.
Brook Lopez, C11/8/2014 8:53:00 AM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez had 20 points and nine rebounds against the Knicks.
Insight: Lopez was flat out dominant at times on Friday. He shot 6-of-10 and made 8-out-of-10 free throws. Lopez also had two blocks, an assist and a steal.
Deron Williams, G11/8/2014 8:50:00 AM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams was 10-for-15 from the field and 7-of-10 at the free-throw line in the big win over the crosstown rival Knicks on Friday.
Insight: Williams finished with 29 points, making two 3-pointers, and six assists. That is by far the most points Williams has in a game this season. He is averaging 19.8 ppg and seven apg.
Kevin Garnett, C11/5/2014 9:54:00 PM
Description: Nets forward Kevin Garnett pleased his limited fantasy owners with 11 rebounds on Wednesday, but he scored just two points.
Insight: Garnett has been playing more minutes than fans expected. He played 25, which is more on pace with expectations, on Wednesday amd grabbed 11 rebounds, but shot just 1-for-7 from the field. He is only fantasy relevant in very deep leagues.
Deron Williams, G11/3/2014 10:00:00 PM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams shot 50 percent from the field on Monday versus the Thunder.
Insight: Williams was 4-of-8 but the point guard stood out with nine assists. He also made all eight of his free-throw attempts.
Brook Lopez, C11/3/2014 9:55:00 PM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez shot 60 percent in his return to the court on Monday.
Insight: Lopez was 6-of-10 for the field and 6-of-7 at the free-throw line. He scored 18 points and had six rebounds. Lopez is a solid fantasy center as long as he stays healthy.
Mason Plumlee, PFCold11/3/2014 11:49:00 AM
Description: Nets center Mason Plumlee will likely return to his backup role Monday as Brook Lopez is expected to make his season debut.
Insight: Plumlee averaged just 7.0 ppg and 4.5 rpg in Lopez's absence and isn't fantasy worthy.
Brook Lopez, C11/3/2014 11:48:00 AM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez is probable for Monday's game against Oklahoma City while dealing with a sprained right ankle.
Insight: Lopez has yet to play in 2014-15 but averaged 20.7 points per game despite only playing in 17 games last season. He is a must-start when healthy. Mason Plumlee will return to his backup role.
Brook Lopez, C11/2/2014 11:26:00 AM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez hopes to practice Saturday and then play on Monday according to the Bergen Record.
Insight: Lopez averaged 20.7 points per game despite only playing in 17 games last season. Monitor his status through the weekend as Lopez is a must-start when healthy.
Kevin Garnett, C11/1/2014 10:15:00 PM
Description: Nets forward Kevin Garnett found the fountain of youth on Saturday against the Pistons.
Insight: Garnett played 35 minutes and made 7-of-15 shots to score 18 points. He was a perfect 4-for-4 at the free-throw line. Garnett also had 14 rebounds, two steals and one block.
Joe Johnson, G/F11/1/2014 10:11:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Joe Johnson had an eye-popping game on Saturday against the Pistons.
Insight: Johnson scored 34 points on 14-of-23 shooting. He sunk three 3-pointers and had eight rebounds and six assists. He is touching and distributing the ball just as well as point guard Deron Williams, who also had six assists on Saturday.
Brook Lopez, C11/1/2014 11:41:00 AM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez (foot) is targeting Monday's game versus Oklahoma City, to make his season debut.
Insight: He hopes to practice on Sunday, but until he returns to action, Mason Plumlee will have good value.
Brook Lopez, C10/31/2014 2:01:00 PM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez was out on Wednesday and is still out for Saturday's game.
Insight: He is making progress on his injured foot, but Brooklyn is airing on the side of caution. Mason Plumlee will start for Lopez.
Joe Johnson, G/F10/29/2014 10:40:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Joe Johnson scored 19 points in the season opener.
Insight: He was only 7-of-19 from the field, while chipping in six rebounds, three assists and one steal. Look for Johnson to average around 20 points per game.
Deron Williams, G10/29/2014 10:38:00 PM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams played well during Wednesday's loss to Boston.
Insight: He had 19 points, eight assists, two steals, but also four turnovers. If Williams produces numbers like these, then owners will have absolutely no issue with him.
Mason Plumlee, PF10/29/2014 4:13:00 PM
Description: Nets center Mason Plumlee will start the season opener against the Celtics.
Insight: Plumlee will be in for the injured Brook Lopez. Plumlee is worth picking up because of Lopez's injury history and the lack of depth in the frontcourt for Brooklyn.
Brook Lopez, C10/29/2014 4:07:00 PM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez is out on Wednesday against the Celtics.
Insight: He is making progress on his injured foot, but Brooklyn is airing on the side of caution. Mason Plumlee will start in Lopez's place on Wednesday.
Brook Lopez, C10/28/2014 5:35:00 PM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez is doubtful for the season opener against the Celtics on Wednesday.
Insight: This is not a surprise. He has been battling a right foot injury. Kevin Garnett and Mason Plumlee will receive more minutes and are the best fantasy option to replace Lopez.
Brook Lopez, C10/25/2014 2:25:00 PM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez did not practice on Saturday according to The Bergen Record.
Insight: At this point, he cannot be counted on for opening night on Wednesday. It is likely best to just let someone else draft Lopez to avoid the headache that comes with him.
Marcus Thornton, G10/18/2014 7:10:00 PM
Description: Nets shooting guard Marcus Thornton has scored between 12 and 19 points in all five preseason games this month.
Insight: Thornton came off the bench and scored 17 points, making three 3-pointers, and had two rebounds, three steals and a block in 17 minutes on Wednesday. If fantasy owners need 3-pointers late in the draft, Thornton is a great choice.
Mason Plumlee, PF10/18/2014 6:22:00 PM
Description: Nets center Mason Plumlee could provide some great value late in fantasy drafts.
Insight: Plumlee has done a little bit of everything this preseason for the Nets. He is expected to come off the bench this season, but with fellow center Brook Lopez out for the first two weeks of the season, and Kevin Garnett about as old as dirt, Plumlee could see some significant minutes early in the season. If he takes advantage of the opportunity, perhaps his minutes increase down the road.
Alan Anderson, F10/18/2014 6:18:00 PM
Description: Nets forward Alan Anderson has been dealing with an abdominal injury this preseason according to The New York Post.
Insight: Anderson and Andrei Kirilenko should have been battling each other for the starting small forward role, but both have been sidelined for part of the preseason. Rookie Bojan Bogdanovic is currently slotted to start at small forward. Continue to monitor Anderson's health as he could be inserted into the starting lineup at some point.
Andrei Kirilenko, F10/18/2014 6:14:00 PM
Description: Nets forward Andrei Kirilenko is worth owning in standard fantasy leagues if he can stay healthy this season.
Insight: As with many injury-prone players, that is a big IF. Kirilenko is battling with Bogdan Bogdanovic and Alan Anderson for a starting role. At this point, Bogdanovic seems to have the edge.
Jarrett Jack, G10/18/2014 6:10:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Jarrett Jack has been playing with the team's second unit during the preseason.
Insight: New coach Lionel Hollins has played Jack next to starting point guard Deron Williams on occasion, but it still does not appear Hollins is going to play Jack alongside Williams in the starting lineup. Jack will be the first guard off the bench to start the season.
Brook Lopez, C10/18/2014 6:06:00 PM
Description: Nets general manager Billy King told barclayscenter.com the team will no longer restrict center Brook Lopez's minutes.
Insight: Lopez will miss the first two weeks due to a foot injury, but the Nets are remaining positive because nothing is broken. When he comes back, Lopez will play regular minutes, but King also said the team will not build its offense around Lopez. He is a mid-round pick in standard leagues.
Kevin Garnett, C10/18/2014 5:59:00 PM
Description: Nets coach Lionel Hollins told The New York Post he expects Kevin Garnett to play more than 20 minutes per game
Insight: We have our doubts, considering the 20-year-pro averaged just 20.6 minutes per game last season. He also averaged 6.5 points and 6.6 rebounds in 2013-2014. Garnett is, at best, a late-round flier.
Bojan Bogdanovic, F10/18/2014 5:55:00 PM
Description: Nets coach Lionel Hollins told the New York Post he has no desire to change the starting lineup as of this point.
Insight: That means 25-year-old Bojan Bogdanovic will start at small forward. We expect Joe Johnson to also receive minutes at the small forward position, but Bogdanovic is still a late-round flier pick if one is willing to take on the risk.
Joe Johnson, G/F10/18/2014 5:52:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Joe Johnson plans to improve his rebounding this season.
Insight: In most fantasy leagues, Johnson will be able to start at guard or forward, so he does have some additional value. He averaged 3.4 rebounds per game last season while scoring 15.8 points per game. In addition to improving the rebounding numbers, Johnson would also like to shoot more free throws. Last season, he averaged 2.5 free throw attempts per game.
Deron Williams, G10/18/2014 5:45:00 PM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams confirmed to Newsday that he is playing with "ease and freedom" after having surgery to repair both ankles in the offseason.
Insight: Williams went on to say the past few years, he always had concerns about his ankles in the back of his mind: "I knew I couldn't step certain ways or go certain ways." The point guard seemingly does not have to worry anymore. Williams has looked good in preseason, and fantasy owners should roll the dice with him should he fall to the third or fourth round.
Brook Lopez, C10/16/2014 10:40:00 PM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez suffered a mild right sprain in Wednesday's preseason game.
Insight: He is expected to miss only 10-14 days, but this is bad news, nonetheless. Lopez has had major issues with his right foot throughout his career, including one that ended his 2013-14 season. Owners need to have Mason Plumlee targeted in drafts.
Deron Williams, G9/26/2014 8:48:00 PM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams told CBSsports that he does not feel 100 percent, but he does feel 20 percent better than last season.
Insight: Williams apparently does his math like Brian Fantana from Anchorman. It is encouraging that Williams feels better, but who knows where he started. Williams should be the focal point of the offense without Paul Pierce this year, but it is concerning Williams is not 100 percent.
Brook Lopez, C8/18/2014 1:58:00 PM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez has been cleared for all basketball activities and is expected to be ready for training camp, according to a SiriusXM NBA Radio report.
Insight: Lopez only played 17 games last season before injuries struck, but he was playing at a high level. He averaged 20.7 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 0.9 apg, 1.8 bpg before leg injuries ended his season. He's only played 96 of 246 regular season games over the past three seasons making him a high-risk, high-reward fantasy option.
Markel Brown, G8/12/2014 4:09:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn Nets rookie guard Markel Brown broke a bone in his right hand while working out and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
Insight: The 6-foot-3 guard from Oklahoma State averaged 17.2 points last season. He'll be expected to take the backup role behind Jarrett Jack at shooting guard when he's ready to go.
Jarrett Jack, G7/9/2014 1:39:00 PM
Description: The Cavaliers have traded guard Jarrett Jack to the Nets as part of a three-team trade.
Insight: Cleveland dealt Jack and Sergey Karasev to Brooklyn and Tyler Zeller to Boston to clear enough cap space to offer LeBron James a max contract. Jack averaged 28.2 minutes, 9.5 points and 4.1 assists per game last season and could replace the departed Shaun Livingston in the Nets starting lineup. Brooklyn will be the seventh team Jack has played for in his 10 years in the NBA.
Kevin Garnett, C6/25/2014 8:39:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn center Kevin Garnett is expected to return for another season. SOURCE: Rod Boone, Newsday
Insight: Garnett (6.5 ppg, 6.6 rpg) would be leaving $12 million on the table if he chose to retire. It's clear KG doesn't have much left in the tank but he can probably make it through at least one more season.
Deron Williams, G5/22/2014 8:42:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn point guard Deron Williams is slated to have surgery on both ankles next Tuesday. SOURCE: Nets on Twitter
Insight: Ankle issues are likely to follow Williams the rest of his career. He's coming off a disappointing season (14.3 ppg, 6.1 apg) and fantasy owners shouldn't expect much improvement in 2014-15.
Paul Pierce, F5/18/2014 3:46:00 PM
Description: Nets forward Paul Pierce estimates he has one or two years left in his career. SOURCE: Tim Bontemps, New York Post
Insight: Pierce (13.5 ppg, 4.6 rpg in 2013-14) is still good enough to be a starter but he can't carry the load on offense like he used to. If the Nets are unable to re-sign Pierce, the Clippers and Grizzlies would both be great fits for him. Pierce would also welcome a return to Boston but that's unlikely given the team's rebuilding efforts.
Deron Williams, G5/18/2014 3:39:00 PM
Description: The Nets haven't ruled out the possibility of trading point guard Deron Williams this offseason. SOURCE: Howard Beck, Bleacher Report
Insight: It could be tough to do that given Williams' enormous contract (three years, $63.1 million remaining on his current deal). Teams are also going to be skeptical about Williams' health after struggling with ankle issues for the second year in a row. Williams' scoring average this season (14.3 ppg) was his lowest since 2005-06.
Joe Johnson, G/F5/14/2014 9:43:00 PM
Description: Nets swingman Joe Johnson had 34 points on 15-of-23 shooting Wednesday in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, but he couldn't get a shot off with a chance to tie the game in the closing seconds.
Insight: Brooklyn inbounded the ball to Johnson with less than five seconds left, but he had it knocked loose and couldn't regain possession before time expired. Johnson was Brooklyn's best player during its 2014 playoff run, averaging 21.2 points per game on .533 shooting.
Deron Williams, GCold5/10/2014 10:50:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn guard Deron Williams followed up his 0-of-9 shooting performance in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Heat by going 3-of-11 with nine points in Game 3 Saturday night.
Insight: Williams had 11 assists and the Nets won, 104-90, to cut Miami's lead to 2-1 in the series. However, Brooklyn is going to need D-Will to be better than its seventh-leading scorer if it's going to put real pressure on the Heat.
Deron Williams, GCold5/8/2014 10:19:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn guard Deron Williams was held scoreless in 37 minutes Thursday against the Heat.
Insight: Williams missed all nine of his shots while also committing two turnovers. For the last time D-Will was held without a point, you'd have to go all the way back to January 30, 2006 against San Antonio. The Nets are in rough shape heading into Saturday's Game 3 at Barclays Center.
Mirza Teletovic, F5/8/2014 10:08:00 PM
Description: Mirza Teletovic led the Nets with 20 points Thursday in a loss to Miami.
Insight: He shot 6-of-9 from three-point range and 7-for-12 overall. After beating the Heat four times in a row during the regular season, Brooklyn hasn't shown much life in its first two playoff games against them. The Nets will have a chance to cut into Miami's 2-0 lead Saturday in Game 3 at Barclays Center.
Joe Johnson, G/F5/4/2014 4:09:00 PM
Description: Joe Johnson delivered 26 points Sunday in Brooklyn's series-clinching win over Toronto.

The Nets will face second-seeded Miami in the next round. Brooklyn won all four meetings during the regular season.
Joe Johnson, G/FHot5/2/2014 11:08:00 AM
Description: Nets G/F Joe Johnson has upped his game in the playoffs, averaging 21.6 ppg over the first five contests.
Insight: The 32-year-old was obviously saving himself for the postseason. He's playing eight more minutes per game and scoring almost six points a game more. That's why they brought him to Brooklyn.
Joe Johnson, G/FHot4/30/2014 10:40:00 PM
Description: Nets G/F Joe Johnson's 30 points were not enough Wednesday as Brooklyn lost Game 5 of its first-round postseason series to the Raptors.
Insight: Johnson made 13-of-23 from the field and helped the Nets erase a 22-point deficit in the fourth quarter, but Toronto pulled out the win to take a 3-2 series lead. The 32-year-old had just seven points in Game 4 but has averaged 21.6 ppg on .562 shooting in the series.
Brook Lopez, C4/25/2014 9:50:00 AM
Description: Nets center Brook Lopez was seen out of his walking boot and taking shots at practice on Thursday, according to a Nets Daily report.
Insight: There is no information that he'll actually try to play basketball this season, but after his left ankle surgery in March (and surgery on his right foot in January) its nice to see him making progress for next season.

Joe Johnson, G/F4/19/2014 4:05:00 PM
Description: Nets G/F Joe Johnson was certainly ready for the start of the playoffs, putting up 24 points on 8-for-13 shooting with eight rebounds, four assists and a couple of steals.
Insight: He played close to 45 minutes which likely isn't sustainable if the Nets get past the first series, but we like his production.
Alan Anderson, F4/19/2014 11:08:00 AM
Description: Nets have SF Alan Anderson is questionable for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals Saturday against Toronto.
Insight: He's dealing with a sore abdominal muscle and missed four consecutive games to end the season. Anderson (7.2 ppg) should be ready to go for the playoffs but has little fantasy value.
Joe Johnson, G/F4/19/2014 11:05:00 AM
Description: Nets G/F Joe Johnson sat out Wednesday versus the Cavaliers, but he'll be ready for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals Saturday against Toronto.

Shaun Livingston, G4/19/2014 11:01:00 AM
Description: Brooklyn guard Shaun Livingston practiced on Friday and is probable for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals Saturday against Toronto.
Insight: He sat out the final five games of the regular season with a big toe injury to be ready for this game. He's not a great scorer, but is a solid low-end contributor (8.3 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 3.2 apg, 1.2 spg).
Kevin Garnett, C4/16/2014 6:42:00 PM
Description: Nets center Kevin Garnett won't be in the lineup Wednesday for the regular season finale. SOURCE: Rod Boone, Newsday
Insight: Garnett barely played in the second half, sitting out 19 games because of back spasms. Mason Plumlee (7.4 ppg, 4.4 rpg) and Andray Blatche (11.1 ppg, 5.3 rpg) are both better fantasy options than KG at this point.
Joe Johnson, G/F4/16/2014 6:40:00 PM
Description: Nets G/F Joe Johnson will take a seat Wednesday versus the Cavaliers. SOURCE: Rod Boone, Newsday
Insight: He's officially listed as having a calf injury though we know Jason Kidd is just resting his starters before the playoffs. Johnson will finish the year with 15.8 ppg, 2.7 apg and 3.4 rpg in 79 appearances.
Paul Pierce, F4/16/2014 6:37:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn forward Paul Pierce is getting the night off Wednesday against Cleveland. SOURCE: Rod Boone, Newsday
Insight: So are veterans Deron Williams, Kevin Garnett and Joe Johnson. Pierce's 28 minutes per game this season respresent a career-low. His fantasy value seems to be shrinking by the minute.
Deron Williams, G4/16/2014 6:07:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn will be without point guard Deron Williams Wednesday versus Cleveland. SOURCE: ESPN New York

Insight: The rookie out of Duke contributed 16 points, nine rebounds, four assists and one steal in 30 minutes of action. He's been deadly accurate over his last five games, making 81.1 percent of his field goal tries over that span. Description: Nets shooting guard Marcus Thornton put in a game-high 24 points Tuesday in a loss to the Knicks.

Insight: Pierce, who had been questionable with a shoulder injury, has averaged 13.5 ppg since the All-Star break. That's the same scoring average he had in the first half, though he's been much more efficient in the second half (48.8 percent shooting versus 42.9 before the break).
Deron Williams, G4/15/2014 7:05:00 PM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams will play Tuesday against New York. SOURCE: Stefan Bondy, New York Daily News
Insight: He had been a game-time decision because of knee tendinitis. A win tonight will give Brooklyn the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference and a date with Chicago in the first round of the playoffs. The Bulls won in seven games when these teams met a year ago.
Joe Johnson, G/F4/15/2014 6:59:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn G/F Joe Johnson will be active for Tuesday night's game against the Knicks. SOURCE: Stefan Bondy, New York Daily News
Insight: There had been a rumor the Nets were thinking of resting their starters to try and get the No. 6 seed and a more favorable matchup with Toronto in the first round, though apparently that wasn't the case. A shooting guard for most of his career, Johnson has played primarily as a small forward this season. He leads the team in scoring at 15.8 ppg.
Mirza Teletovic, F4/15/2014 6:32:00 PM
Description: Nets power forward Mirza Teletovic (personal) will sit out Tuesday against the Knicks, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.

Paul Pierce, F4/15/2014 12:05:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn forward Paul Pierce (shoulder) will be a game-time decision on Tuesday.
Insight: The Nets have an "old" roster with six players 30-years-old or older, so this isn't a surprise. Starting any of the veterans on Tuesday will be a risky play. Marquis Teague, Marcus Thornton and Mason Plumlee could play big minutes.
Deron Williams, G4/15/2014 12:02:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn guard Deron Williams along with most of the Nets are game-time decision as the team rests up for the playoffrs.

Description: The Nets have already ruled Alan Anderson out for Sunday's game against the Magic. SOURCE: Newsday
Insight: He's dealing with a sore abdominal muscle. Anderson (7.2 ppg) has only registered double-digit points once in his last five contests so it's not a big loss for fantasy owners.

Deron Williams, G4/11/2014 5:55:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn guard Deron Williams will sit out Friday with right patellar tendinitis, according to Rod Boone of Newsday. Coach Jason Kidd said sitting him out is about getting Williams rest more than anything.

Deron Williams, G3/17/2014 9:55:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn guard Deron Williams torched Phoenix for 28 points on 11-of-13 shooting (3-5 3PT) on Monday night.
Insight: Williams has averaged 17 points, 5.7 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.6 threes in 14 games since the All-Star break. He's still not providing the value fantasy owners paid for, but it's a lot better than what he was doing earlier this season.
Kevin Garnett, PF/C3/17/2014 6:03:00 PM
Description: Nets center Kevin Garnett will miss at least three more games, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.
Insight: Garnett (6.7 ppg, 6.7 rpg) will be reevaluated Saturday after sitting out Monday, Wednesday and Friday, which will make 11 absences in a row. Andray Blatche has averaged 11.3 ppg, 5.2 rpg and 1.3 spg his last 13 games.

Kevin Garnett, PF/C3/16/2014 11:26:00 AM
Description: Head coach Jason Kidd considers Kevin Garnett questionable for Brooklyn's next game Monday against the Suns. SOURCE: Tim Bontemps, New York Post
Insight: Back spasms have cost Garnett (6.7 ppg, 6.7 rpg) eight games in a row. The 21 mpg he's logging this season is a career-low. Garnett's return would push rookie Mason Plumlee (6.3 ppg, 3.6 rpg) back to the bench.
Marcus Thornton, G3/15/2014 9:57:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Marcus Thornton caught fire Saturday in a loss to Washington.
Insight: Thornton drilled 5-of-6 from downtown to finish with 19 points in only 24 minutes of court time. He's averaged 12.7 ppg since joining Brooklyn at the trade deadline. Thornton averaged just 8.3 ppg in 46 games for the Kings earlier this season.
Andrei Kirilenko, F3/15/2014 6:15:00 PM
Description: Nets forward Andrei Kirilenko will be active for Saturday's game in Washington. SOURCE: Stefan Bondy, New York Daily News
Insight: He had been questionable with a sprained ankle. Kirilenko (5.6 ppg, 3.5 rpg) has only scored in double-digits once since the All-Star break. Fantasy owners should be looking elsewhere.
Andrei Kirilenko, F3/15/2014 9:40:00 AM
Description: Brooklyn forward Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's game against Washington due to a sprained right ankle.
Insight: Kirilenko (5.6 ppg, 3.5 rpg) suffered a sprained ankle last Sunday and tested it in practice on Friday. At this point he doesn't have much fantasy value.

Description: Brooklyn forward Paul Pierce's 29 points Wednesday at Miami were his most since Jan. 27.
Insight: Pierce entered Wednesday averaging just 11.2 ppg and 24.7 mpg in March, though that included March 9 when he left after just one minute due to injury.

Kevin Garnett, PF/C3/12/2014 11:48:00 AM
Description: Brooklyn center Kevin Garnett is expected to be out until at least Monday. SOURCE: Tim Bontemps, New York Post
Insight: Back spasms have kept Garnett sidelined for the last six games. His absence means more minutes for Andray Blatche (11.6 ppg, 5.6 rpg) and Mason Plumlee (6.3 ppg, 3.6 rpg).
Kevin Garnett, PF/C3/11/2014 5:33:00 PM
Description: Nets center Kevin Garnett was a last minute scratch Monday and has already been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Heat, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.
Insight: It will be the seventh straight game that he's missed with back spasms. Mason Plumlee has been starting in his place, but the biggest beneficiary of Garnett's absence has been Andray Blatche.
Andrei Kirilenko, F3/11/2014 5:31:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn forward Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Miami, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.

Kevin Garnett, PF/C3/10/2014 7:57:00 PM
Description: Nets center Kevin Garnett was a last minute scratch Monday against Toronto. SOURCE: The Record
Insight: This will be the sixth game that he's missed with back spasms. Garnett (6.7 ppg, 6.7 rpg) was replaced in the starting lineup by Mason Plumlee. We'll see if Garnett is ready to go Wednesday against Miami.

Description: Brooklyn forward Andrei Kirilenko will miss Monday night's game against the Raptors. SOURCE: Andy Vasquez, The Record

Kevin Garnett, PF/C3/10/2014 6:12:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn center Kevin Garnett is back after missing five games with back spasms. SOURCE: Andy Vasquez, The Record
Insight: He'll start alongside Paul Pierce, Shaun Livingston, Joe Johnson and Deron Williams. Garnett's return will probably cut into Andray Blatche's playing time.
Paul Pierce, F3/10/2014 6:08:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn forward Paul Pierce is active for Monday's game with Toronto. SOURCE: The Record
Insight: Pierce played just one minute Sunday after injuring his shoulder. He's averaging less than 12 ppg since the All-Star break (11.9 ppg in ten appearances).
Paul Pierce, F3/10/2014 10:56:00 AM
Description: Nets PF/SF Paul Pierce hurt his shoulder again in the first half Sunday against Sacramento and is questionable for Monday's game against Toronto.
Insight: He's been dealing with a sore shoulder and apparently aggravated it in the first minute of the game. With Pierce out, veteran Andrei Kirilenko played at the PF spot, but he too was injured and will be questionable for Monday.
Kevin Garnett, F3/10/2014 10:53:00 AM
Description: Nets PF/C Kevin Garnett (back spasms) missed Sunday's game and is questionable for Monday's game against Toronto.
Insight: Garnett's averaging career low numbers (6.7 ppg, 6.7 rpg) and even when he returns, coach Jason Kidd has said he will not play a lot of minutes. Andray Blatche has averaged 13.6 ppg and 5.6 rpg while Garnett has been sidelined.
Andrei Kirilenko, F3/9/2014 8:26:00 PM
Description: Nets forward Andrei Kirilenko suffered a sprained ankle Sunday in a win against Sacramento. SOURCE: Tim Bontemps, New York Post
Insight: The injury forced him to miss most of the second half. If Paul Pierce (shoulder) and Kirilenko (five points in 18 minutes) are both out Monday against Toronto, the Nets may have to start four guards with Mason Plumlee as the lone frontcourt player.
Paul Pierce, F3/9/2014 7:19:00 PM
Description: Nets PF/SF Paul Pierce hurt his shoulder in the first half Sunday against Sacramento. He will not be returning. SOURCE: Newsday
Insight: The injury happened pretty early on so Pierce was only able to put up two points before leaving. With Pierce out, Brooklyn will now turn to veteran Andrei Kirilenko (5.6 ppg) at the four spot.
Kevin Garnett, F3/9/2014 4:25:00 PM
Description: Nets PF/C Kevin Garnett (back spasms) will miss yet another game Sunday, according to Tim Bontemps of the New York Post.

Joe Johnson, G3/7/2014 6:19:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Joe Johnson missed shootaround with an illness but he's going to play through it Friday against Boston. SOURCE: Tim Bontemps, New York Post
Insight: Johnson has shot an efficient 15-for-24 (62.5 percent) from the floor over his last two contests. That includes an 8-of-11 (72.7 percent) clip from long range. Make sure he's in your starting lineup.
Marcus Thornton, G3/7/2014 11:19:00 AM
Description: Nets backup shooting guard Marcus Thornton could be a starter against Boston on Friday night if Joe Johnson (game-time decision due to illness) can't run.
Insight: Thornton is certainly capable of tossing up a 20-point night if he gets the minutes. In fact, he's got two 20-point games in the last three contests.
Joe Johnson, G3/7/2014 11:17:00 AM
Description: Brooklyn shooting guard Joe Johnson is questionable for Friday's game against Boston due to illness.
Insight: Johnson missed the morning shootaround, but will be a game-time decision, according to Tim Bontempts of the New York Post. JJ is averaging 15.0 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 2.7 apg this season, but has averaged 20.0 ppg over his last two starts. Marcus Thornton would get the start if Johnson can't go.
Kevin Garnett, F3/6/2014 3:55:00 PM
Description: Nets PF/C Kevin Garnett (back spasms) will not play Friday, according to A. Sherrod Blakely of Comcast Sportsnet New England.

Kevin Garnett, F3/5/2014 10:44:00 AM
Description: Nets PF/C Kevin Garnett (back spasms) will not play Wednesday, according to Rod Boone of Newsday.
Insight: Garnett will miss his third straight game. Mason Plumlee started in his place the last two, but Andray Blatche benefited the most with 29 mpg, 15 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 2.5 apg and 3.0 spg.
Kevin Garnett, F3/4/2014 5:01:00 PM
Description: Nets PF/C Kevin Garnett (back spasms) did not practice Tuesday and is a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies.

Description: Nets PF/C Kevin Garnett (back spasms) will not play Monday, according to Tim Bontemps of the New York Post.

Description: Nets PF/C Kevin Garnett did not play in Saturday's contest and is questionable for Monday's game against Chicago due to back spasms.
Insight: The 19-year veteran will be a game-time decision. He's playing a career-low 21 mpg as the team tries to keep him fresh and healthy for the end of the season.
Deron Williams, G3/2/2014 10:09:00 AM
Description: Brooklyn guard Deron Williams played through a right wrist injury Saturday in a win against Milwaukee. SOURCE: Tim Bontemps, New York Post
Insight: Williams (15 points, four assists) had an ice pack on his wrist after the game. It doesn't sound like he's going to miss any time but it wouldn't hurt to check on D-Will's status one more time before tipoff Monday against Chicago.
Andray Blatche, F/C3/2/2014 10:06:00 AM
Description: Nets center Andray Blatche had a productive outing Saturday against Milwaukee.
Insight: Blatche chipped in with 19 points, 13 rebounds, three steals and one blocked shot. He shot 9-of-9 from the free throw line. Of course, Blatche, who played 30 of 48 minutes on Saturday, won't see as much playing time when Kevin Garnett (rest) returns to the lineup Monday against Chicago.
Kevin Garnett, F3/1/2014 1:52:00 PM
Description: Nets PF/C Kevin Garnett will not play in Saturday's contest against Milwaukee.
Insight: The 37-year-old has started all 48 games he has appeared in this season but is averaging just 21.1 minutes per game. He has played only 18.6 minutes per game in February as the team limits his time during the regular season. They can probably beat the hapless Bucks without him.
Kevin Garnett, F/C2/27/2014 9:32:00 PM
Description: The Nets will have Kevin Garnett available on Thursday against the Nuggets, according to beat writer Andy Vasquez.
Insight: Garnett's status was in question because Brooklyn is on a back-to-back. The 37-year-old has started all 48 games he has appeared in this season but is averaging just 21.1 minutes per game. He has played only 18.6 minutes per game in February.
Marcus Thornton, G2/26/2014 5:08:00 PM
Description: Nets shooting guard Marcus Thornton (food poisoning) will make his Nets debut Wednesday, according to Rod Boone of Newsday.
Insight: Brooklyn acquired Thornton (8.3 ppg) from the Kings last week for Reggie Evans and Jason Terry, but the illness has prevented him from making his debut with the team. He was playing just 24.4 mpg with Sacramento and is unlikely to even get that with the Nets.
Shaun Livingston, G2/26/2014 4:39:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn guard Shaun Livingston will start Wednesday's game against Portland. He sat out Sunday because of a back/tailbone injury. SOURCE: Rod Boone, Newsday
Insight: Livingston's return will likely bump Andrei Kirilenko out of the starting lineup. Though Livingston has definitely given the Nets a boost with his play this season, his fantasy contributions have been minimal (7.7 ppg, 3.1 apg, 3.2 rpg).
Shaun Livingston, G2/25/2014 4:40:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Shaun Livingston (bruised tailbone) will be a game-time decision Wednesday against the Trail Blazers.
Insight: Livingston missed his first game of the season Sunday night. He has averaged just 24 minutes, 5.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists his last seven games and the Nets just acquired Marcus Thornton, so there's no reason to hold Livingston in fantasy leagues.
Shaun Livingston, G2/23/2014 8:05:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Shaun Livingston will miss Sunday's game in Los Angeles. He's out with a tailbone injury. SOURCE: Rod Boone, Newsday
Insight: Livingston was limited to 12 minutes in Saturday's loss to Golden State and will have to miss his first game of the season on Sunday night. Look for Andrei Kirilenko (5.5 ppg) to get the start in Livingston's place.
Marcus Thornton, G2/23/2014 8:02:00 PM
Description: Nets shooting guard Marcus Thornton won't be available Sunday against the Lakers. SOURCE: Rod Boone, Newsday
Insight: Thornton (8.3 ppg) is still waiting to make his Brooklyn debut after missing the last two games with an illness. His next chance to play will be Wednesday against Portland.
Kevin Garnett, F/C2/23/2014 7:56:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn will be without center Kevin Garnett Sunday against the Lakers. SOURCE: Rod Boone, Newsday
Insight: Garnett hasn't been playing the second game of back-to-backs. Andray Blatche (12.0 ppg, 5.7 rpg) and Mason Plumlee (6.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg) will both see minutes at center on Sunday night.
Jason Collins, C2/23/2014 1:48:00 PM
Description: The Nets have signed center Jason Collins to a 10-day contract, according to yahoosports.com.
Insight: He doesn't have any fantasy value but it's a major story as Collins is the first active openly gay player in the NBA. He'll occupy no more than 10 minutes per game for Brooklyn. It's his second stint with the organization after playing with the Nets from 2001-08.
Shaun Livingston, G2/23/2014 10:39:00 AM
Description: Brooklyn guard Shaun Livingston is questionable for Sunday's game with a bruised tailbone, according to Andrew Keh of the New York Times.
Insight: Livingston's X-rays came back negative, but he didn't sound optimistic that he'll be able to play. He hasn't been providing fantasy-worthy numbers anyway with averages of 5.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists his last seven games.
Deron Williams, G2/23/2014 10:05:00 AM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams has averaged 19.5 points and 6.5 rebounds his last two games.
Insight: After sitting out nearly three full weeks to rest his injured ankles (following a PRP and cortisone injection), Williams has averaged just 13.6 points and 6.2 assists in 32.6 minutes per game over 15 games since he returned to the lineup. His shooting is still an issue, as he made just 41.9 percent from the field and 31.7 percent from 3-point range in that span. After having the PRP treatment in his ankles last season, Williams averaged 22.9 points, 8.0 assists and 2.8 threes while shooting .481/.420/.866 in his final 28 games, but it hasn't worked as well this season.
Marcus Thornton, G2/22/2014 10:40:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Marcus Thornton has a stomach bug and will not play Saturday, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.
Insight: Thornton hasn't made his debut with Brooklyn yet after being traded from Sacramento on Wednesday. He averaged just 24.4 mpg and 8.3 ppg on 38.1 percent shooting with the Kings and won't see more playing time with the Nets.
Marcus Thornton, G2/22/2014 5:15:00 PM
Description: Nets guard Marcus Thornton has food poisoning and will be a game-time decision Saturday against Golden State, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.

Marcus Thornton, G2/19/2014 2:42:00 PM
Description: The Kings traded Marcus Thornton to the Nets Wednesday for Jason Terry and Reggie Evans, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of yahoosports.com.
Insight: Both Thornton and Terry are signed through 2014-15, with Thornton due nearly $17 million and Terry set to receive nearly $11. The 26-year-old Thornton is averaging just 8.3 ppg on 38.1 percent shooting this season and won't gain fantasy value by joining the Nets. The trade will open up the starting shooting guard spot for Ben McLemore, but the rookie has made just 36.6 percent from the field.
Reggie Evans, F2/13/2014 12:02:00 PM
Description: Nets forward Reggie Evans won't be available Thursday against Chicago. SOURCE: Rod Boone, Newsday.
Insight: Evans is out for personal reasons. Evans' stat line has been pretty lackluster this season. In 30 games, he's only averaged 2.7 ppg on dismal 39 percent shooting. Evans isn't a fantasy option.
Paul Pierce, F2/12/2014 10:00:00 PM
Description: Five of Brooklyn forward Paul Pierce's made field goals Wednesday were 3-pointers.
Insight: Pierce finished with 25 points on 9-of-11 shooting (5-5 3PT), four rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in just 22 minutes. He has played only 20 mpg in his last four games.
Kevin Garnett, F/C2/12/2014 2:50:00 PM
Description: Nets center Kevin Garnett will be active Wednesday against Charlotte. However, his status is a bit murkier for Thursday's game in Chicago. SOURCE: Stefan Bondy, New York Daily News
Insight: Garnett (6.8 ppg, 6.9 rpg) provides Brooklyn with veteran leadership and is still an above average defensive player but he's not anywhere close to being useful in fantasy. Ignore KG until further notice.
Reggie Evans, F2/12/2014 11:50:00 AM
Description: Nets forward Reggie Evans won't be available Wednesday against Charlotte. SOURCE: Rod Boone, Newsday
Insight: Evans is out for personal reasons. He'll also miss Thursday's game against Chicago. Evans' stat line has been pretty lackluster this season. In 30 games, he's only averaged 2.7 ppg on dismal 39 percent shooting. Evans isn't a fantasy option.
Mason Plumlee, PFHot2/9/2014 8:47:00 PM
Description: Nets rookie Mason Plumlee enjoyed his best game as a pro Sunday against the Pelicans.
Insight: Plumlee set a career-high with 22 points and also tied a career-high with 13 rebounds. After averaging just 15.2 mpg in his previous 37 appearances, Plumlee has played at least 28 minutes in each of his last two games. Plumlee's emergence seems to be coinciding with Andray Blatche's hip injury.
Kevin Garnett, F/C2/9/2014 4:42:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn forward Kevin Garnett will return to the lineup Sunday against the Pelicans, according to Tom Lorenzo of NetsDaily.com.
Insight: The Nets gave the 37-year-old off on Friday to rest. He's not getting enough minutes to be considered a fantasy option.
Kevin Garnett, F/C2/7/2014 1:35:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn forward Kevin Garnett will not play Friday, according to Nets reporter Andy Vasquez.
Insight: The Nets face a big front line in Detroit and could start Andray Blatche, Mason Plumee and Mirza Teletovic.
Joe Johnson, G2/6/2014 6:29:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn shooting guard Joe Johnson is ready to play Thursday against the Spurs. He sat out Monday because of right knee tendinitis. SOURCE: Mike Mazzeo, ESPN New York
Insight: Andrei Kirilenko (calf) and Andray Blatche (hip) will also be active for tonight's game. Johnson (15.6 ppg) has been held under 20 points each of his last six contests.
Deron Williams, G2/6/2014 9:59:00 AM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams had a knee issue late in Monday's game which caused him to limp off the court, but it doesn't appear to be serious, according to Nets beat writer Rod Boone.
Insight: Williams should be ready to go, but it would be worth checking back just before tipoff to verify that there are no problems.
Andrei Kirilenko, F2/6/2014 9:56:00 AM
Description: Brooklyn forward Andrei Kirilenko practiced without issue on Wednesday and has been upgraded to probable for Thursday's game with San Antonio.
Insight: Kirilenko (5.8 ppg, 3.1 rpg) had missed the previous three games with a quad issue. Functioning as Paul Pierce's backup, Kirilenko has no fantasy value at this time.
Andrei Kirilenko, F2/5/2014 12:54:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn forward Andrei Kirilenko (calf) practiced without an issue Wednesday and plans to play Thursday, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.
Insight: Kirilenko missed the last three games and has played just 17 games and 18 minutes per game this season due to injuries.
Joe Johnson, G2/5/2014 12:51:00 PM
Description: Nets shooting guard Joe Johnson (knee soreness) returned to practice Wednesday after missing Monday's game, according to Andy Vasquez of the Bergen Record.
Insight: Johnson is averaging 15.6 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 2.8 apg, his lowest totals in 10 years, but still made the All-Star team this season. If he returns Thursday he'll bump Alan Anderson back to the bench and may take some minutes from Shaun Livingston, though Livingston was having success even with Johnson in the lineup.
Andray Blatche, F/C2/5/2014 12:50:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn center Andray Blatche (hip) practiced Wednesday and said he'll play Thursday, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.
Insight: Blatche missed the last two games. He averaged 24 minutes, 15.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.0 blocks in his last seven games before suffering a bruised hip. His return will take minutes away from 3-point shooting big man Mirza Teletovic.
Shaun Livingston, GHot2/4/2014 5:18:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn guard Shaun Livingston has generated 11.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.8 steals over his last 18 games.
Insight: Livingston has been getting solid playing time even with Deron Williams back in the lineup. He's been particularly good in his last three games, averaging 17.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.7 steals.
Paul Pierce, F2/3/2014 11:56:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn forward Paul Pierce led all scorers with 25 points Monday against Philadelphia.
Insight: Pierce accomplished that on just nine shots while making 14-of-14 from the free-throw line. Over his last 11 games, the Nets forward has averaged 15.7 ppg.
Deron Williams, G2/3/2014 11:54:00 PM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams scored 20 points Monday for the first time since he returned from an ankle sprain on Jan. 20.
Insight: Williams finally returned to the starting lineup Saturday after coming off the bench in his first six games back from undergoing platelet-rich plasma therapy on his ankles and missing two weeks. If the procedure works as well as it did last season Williams should have a big second half.
Mirza Teletovic, F2/3/2014 11:52:00 PM
Description: Nets power forward Mirza Teletovic made five threes and scored 20 points in 28 minutes Monday against the 76ers.
Insight: The Sixers give up the most three-points in the NBA. Teletovic hadn't scored in double figures since he exploded for a career-high 34 on Jan. 24. He saw some extra time Monday with Andray Blatche still out but has played just 19 minutes per game this season. Still, he has fantasy value in deeper leagues due to his 2.6 threes per game over his last 24 games.
Andray Blatche, F/C2/3/2014 7:00:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn center Andray Blatche (hip), agame-time decision against the 76ers on Monday, will sit the game out
Insight: Blatche also missed Saturday's game. He averaged 24 minutes, 15.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.0 blocks in his last seven games before suffering a bruised hip.
Andrei Kirilenko, F2/3/2014 6:58:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn forward Andrei Kirilenko will sit out again Monday due to a calf injury, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.

Joe Johnson, G2/3/2014 6:38:00 PM
Description: Nets shooting guard Joe Johnson is not expected to play against Philadelphia on Monday night due to right knee tendinitis, according to Andy Vasquez of The Record.
Insight: Johnson is averaging 15.6 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 2.8 apg, his lowest totals in 10 years. Shaun Livingston has scored 40 points over the past two games and with Johnson sidelined could be in for another big night.
Andray Blatche, F/C2/3/2014 4:16:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn center Andray Blatche (hip) will be a game-time decision against the 76ers on Monday.

Deron Williams, G2/1/2014 6:51:00 PM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams will return to the starting lineup Saturday versus Indiana. SOURCE: Rod Boone, Newsday
Insight: Williams (13.2 ppg, 6.9 apg) has come off the bench since his return from an ankle injury on January 16th. He's not the fantasy dynamo that he used to be but if you're interested in double-digit points and a handful of assists, you could do a lot worse than D-Will.
Andray Blatche, F/C2/1/2014 6:23:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn PF/C Andray Blatche won't be in action Saturday against Indiana. SOURCE: Rod Boone, Newsday
Insight: Blatche bruised his hip in last night's loss to OKC. Mirza Teletovic may see some extra minutes at the five, assuming Jason Kidd continues his trend of monitoring Kevin Garnett's playing time (just 21.7 mpg this season).
Andrei Kirilenko, F2/1/2014 11:58:00 AM
Description: Nets forward Andrei Kirilenko did not play Friday due to a calf injury and is questionable for Saturday's game against Indiana.
Insight: Kirilenko has played just 17 games this season due to injuries and is averaging 5.8 ppg. Don't bother with him in fantasy leagues.
Andray Blatche, F2/1/2014 11:55:00 AM
Description: Nets F/C Andray Blatche is questionable for Saturday's game against Indiana while dealing with a bruised left hip.
Insight: Blatche is averaging 13.4 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.4 apg as a starter this season which make him a low-end fantasy value.
Andrei Kirilenko, F1/31/2014 6:25:00 PM
Description: Nets forward Andrei Kirilenko will not play Friday due to a calf injury, according to Tom Lorenzo of netsdaily.com. He'll be reevaluated for Saturday's game.
Insight: Kirilenko has played just 17 games this season due to injuries and is averaging 5.8 ppg. Don't bother with him in fantasy leagues.
Andrei Kirilenko, F1/31/2014 5:34:00 PM
Description: Nets forward Andrei Kirilenko will be a game-time decision Friday night due to a calf injury, according to Andy Vasquez of the Bergen Record.

Andrei Kirilenko, F1/30/2014 5:15:00 PM
Description: The Nets announced that Andrei Kirilenko's MRI came back negative. He remains day-to-day with a calf injury.
Insight: Kirilenko has averaged 5.8 ppg since returning from a back injury at the end of last month. Alan Anderson (8.4 ppg) and Paul Pierce (13.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg) would see more minutes if Kirilenko is unable to play Friday against the Thunder.
Andrei Kirilenko, F1/29/2014 2:53:00 PM
Description: A sore calf prevented Brooklyn forward Andrei Kirilenko from practicing on Wednesday. SOURCE: Tim Bontemps, New York Post
Paul Pierce, F1/27/2014 9:13:00 PM
Description: Nets small forward Paul Pierce has returned to action. He left Monday's game briefly after injuring his neck.
Insight: Pierce is having a much better evening than he did last night in his return to Boston. Through three quarters he already has 21 points on 7-of-12 shooting. Whatever neck injury Pierce may have suffered earlier appears to be well behind him.
Paul Pierce, F1/27/2014 8:30:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn forward Paul Pierce left Monday's game against Toronto with a neck/shoulder injury.
Insight: Pierce hasn't gone to the locker room yet, which is probably a good sign. The Nets are plenty deep at shooting guard/small forward so it's not the end of the world if Pierce doesn't come back. Andrei Kirilenko and Jason Terry would both see extra minutes in Pierce's absence.
Deron Williams, G1/26/2014 11:33:00 AM
Description: Brooklyn guard Deron Williams (ankle) is coming off the bench, but still averaging 30 minutes of court time.
Insight: Williams has averaged 13.3 ppg and 7.7 apg which isn't up to preseason expectations, but not bad off the bench. Fantasy owners should expect him to start soon and hopefully his numbers will return to projected levels.
Mirza Teletovic, F1/24/2014 10:33:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn forward Mirza Teletovic was on fire Friday against the Mavericks.
Insight: He shot 12-of-18 from the floor for a season-high 34 points. Seven of Teletovic's 12 made field goals came from behind the arc. Look for him to stay hot Sunday against the Celtics.
Deron Williams, G1/23/2014 2:42:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn guard Deron Williams (ankle) will come off the bench again on Friday.
Insight: Williams has still managed to get 27.5 mpg off the bench, but don't expect him to stand for the bench role too much longer. Fantasy owners need more of him than his production over the past two games.
Paul Pierce, F1/23/2014 2:35:00 PM
Description: Nets SG/SF Paul Pierce missed Thursday's practice due to illness, so fantasy owners should check back before Friday's game to verify that he'll be in uniform.
Insight: Pierce isn't the fantasy stud he once was, but he's still a box score filler - 13.0 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.0 spg, 1.3 threes per contest.
Mirza Teletovic, FHot1/22/2014 12:57:00 PM
Description: Nets forward Mirza Teletovic has averaged 2.7 threes per game over his last 18 games.
Insight: That would be a lot of threes of anyone, much less a 6-foot-9 player with power-forward eligibility. Teletovic has only averaged 23 minutes, 10.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in his last 18 games, but the 3-pointers make him a fantasy option in deep leagues.
Andray Blatche, FHot1/21/2014 9:58:00 PM
Description: Nets F/C Andray Blatche scored a team-high 18 points with five rebounds and three assists as Brooklyn got past Orlando 101-90.
Insight: Blatche is averaging 19 ppg over his last three contests with 10.3 rpg.
Deron Williams, G1/21/2014 6:18:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn guard Deron Williams (ankle) had 13 points in 27 minutes off the bench in his return to action Monday and will not start on Tuesday.
Insight: As long as he's getting the minutes it doesn't matter if he starts or not. D-Will had a platelet-rich plasma injection and a cortisone shot in both ankles two weeks ago after spraining his left ankle for a third time this season and missed the last five games. He had the same procedure at the All-Star break last season and averaged 22.9 ppg post-break.
Marquis Teague, G1/21/2014 12:31:00 PM
Description: Backup point guard Marquis Teague has been traded from Chicago to Brooklyn.
Insight: Teague's value, or lack of one, won't change with this trade. He'll be stuck behind Deron Williams and Shaun Livingston.
Andray Blatche, F1/20/2014 8:48:00 PM
Description: Nets F/C Andray Blatche has averaged 27 minutes, 19.5 points, 13 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks the last two games.
Insight: Blatche didn't see an immediate statistical boost from Brook Lopez' season-ending injury and he'll probably continue to see 20-25 minutes per game as part of coach Jason Kidd's befuddling rotation.
Joe Johnson, GHot1/20/2014 7:09:00 PM
Description: Nets shooting guard Joe Johnson drained four threes Monday at New York on his way to a 25-point game.
Insight: Johnson has scored at least 23 points in five of the last six games and averaged 24.5 ppg in that span. He has made 16-of-31 from behind the arc the last five games.
Deron Williams, G1/20/2014 7:06:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn guard Deron Williams (ankle) had 13 points in 27 minutes in his return to action Monday against the Knicks. He came off the bench but will probably rejoin the starting lineup Tuesday.
Insight: D-Will had a platelet-rich plasma injection and a cortisone shot in both ankles two weeks ago after spraining his left ankle for a third time this season and missed the last five games. He had the same procedure at the All-Star break last season and averaged 22.9 ppg post-break.

Deron Williams, G1/17/2014 5:29:00 PM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams (ankles) is aiming to return Monday against the Knicks, Brooklyn GM Billy King said. SOURCE: nydailynews.com
Insight: Williams had PRP and cortisone injections in both ankles on Jan. 7 after spraining his left ankle a third time. We expected he would try to return for Monday's game against the Knicks, as the Nets light schedule allowed him to sit out two full weeks while only missing five games. Williams had the same procedure during the All-Star break last season and went off for 22.9 ppg in 28 games after returning.
Paul Pierce, F1/16/2014 8:46:00 PM
Description: Nets forward Paul Pierce has averaged 18.7 ppg his last three games.
Insight: Pierce had 18 points, six assists and three rebounds in 27 minutes of action Thursday afternoon against the Hawks.
Joe Johnson, G1/16/2014 8:43:00 PM
Description: Nets shooting guard Joe Johnson had 29 points on 11-of-15 shooting (6-8 3PT) Thursday against the Hawks in London.
Insight: Johnson has scored at least 23 points in four of the past five games and averaged 24.4 ppg in that span. He should continue to be the Nets leading scorer until Deron Williams (ankles) finally rejoins them.
Deron Williams, G1/16/2014 10:35:00 AM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams didn't make the trip to London for Thursday's game against the Hawks, but could return for the Jan. 20 game.
Insight: Shaun Livingston will continue to start at point guard until Williams returns to the court. He's averaing 9.5 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 3.5 apg as a starter this season.
Deron Williams, G1/12/2014 6:08:00 PM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams won't make the trip to London for Thursday's game against the Hawks. D-Will has missed four games in a row with a sprained ankle. SOURCE: Mike Mazzeo, ESPN New York
Insight: Shaun Livingston has done an excellent job in his place, averaging 13.0 ppg, 2.5 apg and 6.0 rpg over his last four games. There's no timetable for Williams' return.
Joe Johnson, G1/11/2014 9:43:00 PM
Description: Nets shooting guard Joe Johnson's three-game hot streak came to an end Saturday against the Raptors.
Insight: After scoring nine points or less in five straight games from Dec. 27 to Jan. 4, Johnson averaged 27.3 ppg in his last three games. However, he had just 11 points on 4-of-13 shooting Saturday and the Nets lost to snap a five-game winning streak.
Kevin Garnett, F/C1/11/2014 6:11:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn forward Kevin Garnett will not play Saturday, according to Tim Bontemps of the New York Post.
Insight: The Nets are playing in their third game in the last four days and will choose to rest the veteran. KG is averaging just 22 minutes, 6.7 points and 7.0 rebounds this season and is not a recommended fantasy option. Mason Plumlee will start in his place Saturday after playing just 12 minutes total in the previous five games (three DNP-CDs). Look for Mirza Teletovic to be heavily involved.
Kevin Garnett, F/C1/11/2014 5:54:00 PM

Deron Williams, G1/9/2014 7:00:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn guard Deron Williams has already been ruled out for the team's next two games. He's been battling a sprained ankle. SOURCE: Tim Bontemps, New York Post
Insight: That means he'll be watching from the sidelines Friday against the Heat and then again Saturday in Toronto. Brooklyn's current four-game winning streak is its longest of the season.
Deron Williams, G1/7/2014 4:14:00 PM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams received platelet-rich plasma injections and cortisone shots in both ankles Tuesday, according to Rod Boone of Newsday. Williams will be reevaluated Friday.
Insight: Williams has dealt with ankle issues all season and his MRI Monday revealed another left ankle sprain. He had the same procedure during the All-Star break last season and it helped him recover and average 22.9 ppg, 8.0 apg and 2.8 3pg after the break.

Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams (ankle) missed Monday's contest, his 12th missed game this season and is questionable for Wednesday's game against Golden State.
Insight: Williams sprained left ankle swelled up before Monday's game. We don't expect the 13-21 Nets to rush him back, so fantasy owners should have a backup plan for Wednesday.
Joe Johnson, G1/6/2014 10:10:00 PM
Description: Nets shooting guard Joe Johnson snapped a string of five straight single-digit scoring efforts with 23 points on 10-of-22 shooting Monday against Atlanta.

Kevin Garnett, F/C1/4/2014 6:52:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn forward Kevin Garnett won't participate in Saturday's game against Cleveland. SOURCE: Mark Herrmann, Newsday

Description: Nets F/C Andray Blatche (personal) attended shootaround and will play Saturday, according to Tim Bontemps of the New York Post.
Insight: Blatche missed the last four games due to personal reasons. He's averaging 23 minutes, 11.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game this season. While Brook Lopez is out for the season, the Nets have been using a collection of players, including Kevin Garnett, Mirza Teletovic, Reggie Evans, Mason Plumlee and Blatche, to fill his minutes rather than one guy.
Tyshawn Taylor, G1/3/2014 10:07:00 AM
Description: Nets point guard Tyshawn Taylor missed his third consecutive game Thursday night while dealing with an ankle injury.
Insight: Taylor hasn't played more than six minutes in a game since Dec. 7. He had a little fantasy value when starting for the injured Deron Williams, but has none at this time.

Description: Nets forward Andrei Kirlineko will only play about 10-to-12 minutes Tuesday in his return from a back injury. SOURCE: ESPN New York
Insight: That sounds about right given how much time he's missed. Kirilenko really hasn't been healthy all year so it's unknown how he'll mesh with his new teammates. Fantasy owners should be going in with low expectations.
Andrei Kirilenko, F12/31/2013 1:22:00 PM
Description: Andrei Kirilenko's long-awaited return could come as early as Tuesday against San Antonio. SOURCE: Tim Bontemps, New York Post
Insight: The Brooklyn small forward hasn't played since November because of back spasms but he looked good in his return to practice on Monday. He'll probably be eased back into the lineup so fantasy owners shouldn't expect Kirilenko to play big minutes in his return.

Description: Nets forward Paul Pierce snapped out of his slump with 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting Saturday.

Description: Nets forward Mirza Teletovic had 17 points Saturday at Indiana and is averaging 15.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 0.8 blocks and 3.4 threes over his last five games.

Andray Blatche, F12/27/2013 7:15:00 PM
Description: Nets F/C Andray Blatche won't be available for the team's next four games. SOURCE: Tom Lorenzo, SB Nation

Andray Blatche, FCold12/25/2013 4:55:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn F/C Andray Blatche was ugly Wednesday, shooting 1-for-11 from the field with five rebounds in 26 minutes.

Deron Williams, G12/25/2013 10:03:00 AM
Description: Nets point guard Deron Williams suffered yet another ankle injury Monday, but it doesn't appear to be serious and he's listed as probable for Wednesday's game against Chicago.
Insight: Williams tweaked his left ankle late in the fourth. The Nets were getting blown out so there was no reason to rush him back considering all the ankle issues the point guard has dealt with this season. Description: League sources confirmed that Nets center Brook Lopez is done for the season with a broken right foot, according to espn.com. It's the same foot he fractured and had surgically repaired in 2011.
Insight: It's a huge blow to the Nets, but fantasy owners who can grab Andray Blatche will come out of this smelling like a rose. He's averaging 13.4 ppg and 5.6 rpg in five starts this season. Mirza Teletovic also figures to see increased playing time.
