Final Score: Portland 136, San Antonio 106
San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Damian Lillard scored a game-high 35 points and dished out nine assists as the Portland Trail Blazers earned a convincing 136-106 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Friday.
LaMarcus Aldridge followed with 26 points on 12-of-18 shooting from the floor and J.J. Hickson added 23 points and 11 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who have won four of six.
Portland also took the season series with the victory -- en route to scoring the most points against the Spurs in San Antonio since Nov. 7, 1990 vs. Denver. HemisFair Arena was the home of the Spurs at the time.
"You don't ever predict a win in San Antonio," Portland coach Terry Stotts said.
Tim Duncan had 18 points and eight boards for the Spurs, who had a three-game winning streak come to an end. Kawhi Leonard and Manu Ginobili added 16 points apiece in the setback.
Portland took a 90-82 lead in the fourth, as Lillard closed the third with eight of the team's final 10 points.
The momentum carried over into the final frame, as the Blazers exploded with a 17-6 flurry just over three minutes into the action as Hickson made it 107-88 with two free throws.
The stunned Spurs simply had no answer, as Portland scored 46 points in the fourth quarter alone and controlled every aspect of the game.
"In the second half they caught fire and you know, just got away from us," Duncan added. "Combination of us playing bad and them playing good and just put it on that. Obviously try to learn from it."
After the Spurs held a lead for most of the second quarter, Eric Maynor's jumper with four minutes remaining gave the Blazers a 48-47 edge.
Both teams went into the break knotted up at 57-57, as Ginobili nailed a fadeaway three to close the action. Hickson had 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting after the first two quarters.
Duncan slammed home a missed 3-pointer at the end of the first quarter to make it 29-27 in favor of the home team.
The Spurs play at Minnesota on Monday, then have four straight at home ... Portland snapped a seven-game road losing streak ... It was just the fourth home loss for the Spurs this season ... The Trail Blazers shot 61.6 percent (53-of-86), including 13-of-21 from behind the arc ... Maynor had 14 points in the fourth quarter.
