Insight: Brett Anderson is injured? You don't say. That was the case so often in Oakland from 2009-13, when Anderson had a 3.81 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP but averaged just 90 innings per season. He was pulled from Saturday's start at San Francisco after three innings due to the finger injury and woke up with swelling on Sunday.
