Description: Spurs power forward Tim Duncan recorded a double-double during Sunday's victory against the Suns.

Insight: San Antonio could use this game to move up the standings and possibly earn home court in the first round, but at the end of the day, it is in their better interest to make sure Parker is healthy for the playoffs. The Sports Network will be surprised if Parker plays. Expect Cory Joseph to make the start.

Description: Spurs small forward Kawhi Leonard continues to be San Antonio's best player.
Insight: Part of that is due to the fact the Spurs are blowing out teams lately, and the older players like Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili aren't playing much, but Leonard didn't play long on Friday either, scoring 20 points in 22 minutes. He hit two 3-pointers and had four assists, two rebounds, one steal and one block.

Insight: Leonard also had seven rebounds which was tied with Tiago Splitter and Cory Joseph for the team lead. None of the San Antonio starters played more than 22 minutes. Tim Duncan played just 12. If the Spurs are in a blowout down the stretch, coach Gregg Popovich is not going to play the starters a lot of minutes, which makes them a risky play for fantasy.

Insight: Leonard was just 11-of-41(26.8 percent) in the final three contests before the All-Star game. He's still a 44 percent shooter this season and a career 49 percent shooter, so he should be able to turn it around.
Description: Spurs point guard Tony Parker was playing better just before the All-Star break and with the added rest should continue to play well.
Insight: Parker is having a disappointing season, averaging 14.5 ppg and 4.7 apg this season, but averaged 16.4 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 4.4 apg in the five games just before the break. The Spurs are a deep team, so Parker isn't going to average 20 ppg as he did in 2012.
Description: Spurs point guard Tony Parker led the team with 19 points in Gregg Popovich's 1,000 career victory.

Description: Spurs guard Manu Ginobili will not play on Monday versus the Pacers.
Insight: Gregg Popovich will have to earn his 1,000 victory without Ginobili. It's the second game of a back-to-back set, so this isn't too much of a surprise. Ginobili, however, was seen limping at the end of Sunday's game versus the Raptors.
Description: Spurs power forward Tim Duncan had a key turnover that hurt San Antonio in their loss to Toronto on Sunday.
Insight: With under five seconds to go and down three points, San Antonio was inbounding the ball in the offensive zone. Duncan threw an irratic pass across court that went out of bounds. The Spurs lost by five. Duncan finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Description: Spurs point guard Tony Parker's numbers continue to plummet.
Insight: Since returning from injury, Parker has averaged just 11.3 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 4.0 apg in his last 14 games. That's not fantasy worthy. He's only playing 26 mpg in that span which could be one of the reasons and unfortunately, that may not change much the rest of the way.
Description: Spurs guard Danny Green turned in another very solid fantasy night.
Insight: Green hit 4-of-8 3-pointers, going 6-for-11 from the field overall. He also had five rebounds and three blocks. Green is a solid option for anyone needing help with 3-pointers, rebounds or blocks.

Insight: Leonard has played the last three games and had his best one on Tuesday where he had 17 points and 15 rebounds versus the Nuggets. Leonard made 3-of-6 3-pointers and also had three assists, two steals and a block. He has become the most important player for the Spurs and is likely also very important for fantasy teams.
Description: Spurs power forward Tim Duncan has posted three consecutive double-doubles.
Insight: Duncan moved into fifth place on the all-time double-doubles list, passing Karl Malone on Tuesday, and he added to it on Wednesday. Duncan isn't scoring much of late. He hasn't cracked the 15-point mark in seven games, but at least he's still crashing the boards.
Description: Spurs guard Patty Mills came off the bench and scored 18 points versus the Trail Blazers on Friday.

Description: Spurs point guard Tony Parker is still not himself since returning from his hamstring injury.
Insight: Parker shot 7-of-18 versus the Wizards on Tuesday, scoring 14 points to lead the team, but in four games since returning from his injury, Parker is averaging just nine ppg and 1.5 apg. Hopefully he can get comfortable again quickly.
Description: Spurs guard Manu Ginobili (back) is probable for Tuesday's game against Washington
Insight: His return would hurt the values for Patty Mills and Cory Joseph. Ginobili averages 12.5 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 5.0 apg, but he's high-maintenence because owners always have to make sure he's actually playing each night.
Description: Spurs forward Austin Daye led San Antonio with 22 points on Saturday.
Insight: Daye started on Saturday, which was his first extensive game action in about a month, and he shot 8-of-13, including 4-for-8 from the 3-point line. Daye also had 10 rebounds. Fantasy owners still need to see this more often in order to consider Daye fantasy relevant.
Description: Spurs point guard Tony Parker scored three points in his return to the court on Tuesday.
Insight: Parker only took three shots, going 0-for-3, in 13 minutes. It was Parker's first game action since Christmas Day although Parker also missed eight of the previous 10 games before Dec. 25. His three points came from the free-throw line.
Description: Spurs point guard Tony Parker is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against Detroit, but will start, according to Mike Monroe of the San Antonio Express-News.
Insight: He's played just four games since Dec. 5 and the last time was Christmas Day. Cory Joseph and Patty Mills will return to their backup roles. Parker is averaging 16.2 ppg, 1.7 rpg, 5.2 apg, which is down from the past few seasons.
Description: Spurs point guard Tony Parker is questionable for Tuesday's game against Detroit.

Description: Spurs power forward Tim Duncan had his lowest scoring output since Nov. 22 on Tuesday.
Insight: Duncan scored nine points but nearly had the double-double as he did have 10 rebounds. Even though the Spurs have slightly fallen on hard times, losing seven of their last nine, Duncan has continued to defy father time. He has averaged 18.0 ppg and 11.6 rpg in December.

Description: Spurs guard Corey Joseph started for Tony Parker and posted "Parker-like" numbers.
Insight: Joseph went for 20 points, three rebounds and five assists. It was his fourth double-digit game in the last five tries and with Parker dealing with a hamstring and Patty Mills a shoulder, Joseph should continue to be a viable fantasy option.
Description: Spurs guard Corey Joseph is worth picking up in most leagues.
Insight: That's because Tony Parker is expected to receive extended time off due to his hamstring injury. Gregg Popovich has brought back his players earlier than originally stated before, so perhaps Parker won't be out multiple weeks, but Popovich's history of not caring until the playoffs would suggest Parker will not return until he is completely healthy. Therfore, Joseph is fantasy relevant and a worthy pickup.
Description: Spurs G/F Marco Belinelli scored a team-high 21 points during Saturday's loss to the Mavericks.
Insight: Belinelli got the start and played 39 minutes. He was 7-of-16 from the floor and 7-of-7 from the line. He also had three rebounds, two assists, and five turnovers. He is not a recommended option.
Description: The Spurs will be resting all their stars on Saturday versus the Mavericks.
Insight: Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobil will sit to rest, Kawhi Leonard is out with a hand injury and Tony Parker will sit with his hamstring injury. Coming off back-to-back triple overtime games and Gregg Popovich being who he is, this can't be that much of a surprise.
Description: Spurs forward Tim Duncan recorded a double-double on Friday.
Insight: Duncan scored 32 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Danny Green also recorded a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as the Spurs dropped their second straight triple overtime game. Those two losses were against the Grizzlies and Trail Blazers. Fantasy owners need to check daily whether or not Duncan is playing, but when on the court, he is a top-fantasy option averaging 15.8 ppg and 11.0 rpg.
Description: Spurs point guard Tony Parker (strained left hamstring) is expected to miss Monday's game against Portland.
Insight: Cory Joseph should get the start. He was solid against the Lakers with 16 points, four rebounds and five assists. Given the Spurs will be without Parker, GManu Ginobili and Tim Duncan there are a lot of shots and points available.
Description: Spurs small forward Kawhi Leonard will not play on Wednesday due to a bruised right hand.
Insight: There were already rumors Manu Ginobil and Tim Duncan would rest Wednesday, and Tony Parker with doubtful as well, it appears the Spurs will be resting everyone. Who can blame them with the Knicks in town.
Description: Spurs point guard Tony Parker is uncertain whether he will play on Wednesday, and coach Gregg Popovich said it will depend on how he feels in warmups according to the San Antonio Express-News.
Insight: Judging just based on the history of the Spurs resting star players, Parker will likely not play on Wednesday. Fantasy owners should have a backup plan.
Description: Spurs point guard Tony Parker will not play on Tuesday because of his hamstring injury.
Insight: It is never good to be ruled out 24 hours in advance. That could mean Parker will miss more games than just Tuesday's. Cory Joseph has been good in his two starts and is worth a look in fantasy.
Description: Spurs forward Boris Diaw scored 17 points off the bench during Saturday's victory against the Timberwolves.
Insight: It was one of his better games of the season, as Diaw went 6-of-10 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line. He also had four assists, three rebounds, and one steal. However, even with this solid performance, owners should leave Diaw on the waiver wire.
Description: If you do not respect the greatness of Spurs forward Tim Duncan, then there is something wrong with you.
Insight: After posting a triple-double on Friday night, Duncan played only 19 minutes on Saturday, but still had 13 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and two blocks. At 38-years-old, he is averaging 13.9 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 2.1 bpg, and is currently a top-35 fantasy option.
Description: Spurs G/F Marco Belinelli scored a team-high 20 points during Saturday's win versus Minnesota.
Insight: He did so off the bench, going 7-of-12 from the floor, 2-of-2 from the line, and 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Belinelli also had six assists, two rebounds, and one turnover. With the Spurs' rotation as unpredictable as it gets, Belinelli should remain on the waiver wire.
Description: Spurs guard Corey Joseph played well in a spot start on Saturday night.
Insight: With Tony Parker sidelined, Joseph went 7-of-10 from the field and 4-of-4 from the line for 18 points, five assists, four rebounds, one steal, and zero turnovers. Whenever Parker sits, Joseph should be in all lineups, and will continue to make for solid daily plays during those times.
Description: Spurs forward Tim Duncan did a little bit of everything with a triple-double on Friday against the Grizzlies.
Insight: Duncan did not stand out in any category, but his performance was still a fantasy owners dream as he had 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Duncan also had two blocks, shooting 50 percent from the field. The power forward could be providing tremendous fantasy value depending on where owners selected Duncan.
Description: Spurs point guard Tony Parker has been downgraded to out for Monday's game against Philadelphia due to a cracked rib.
Insight: The Spurs don't need him to beat the bad Sixers squad. Parker was injured in practice. He expects to play through it, but this is an easy decision. His numbers are way down from last season, scoring 16.7 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 5.7 apg.

Description: Spurs small forward Kawhi Leonard scored five points and grabbed 11 rebounds in limited minutes on Monday.
Insight: San Antonio took a 30-13 lead over Philadelphia by the end of the first quarter, so Spurs coach Gregg Popovich gave his starters a lot of rest. Leonard was 2-of-7 from the field in 20 minutes.
Description: Spurs forward Tim Duncan and guard Manu Ginobili are listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Warriors.
Insight: It is the second game of a back-to-back set for the Spurs, so in typical Gregg Popovich fashion, he might sit his stars. Boris Diaw is a decent plug-in starter at power forward for daily fantasy leagues.
Description: Spurs small forward Kawhi Leonard had another rough game on Thursday.
Insight: Without Leonard playing his best, the Spurs had no chance against the Rockets without Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili. Leonard started the game 1-for-7 from the field and finished 2-of-11. He had seven points, four rebounds, five assists, and four steals.
Description: Spurs G/F Marco Belinelli is doubtful for Thursday's game against Houston due to a strained right groin.
Insight: he was injured Wednesday night and that's not much recovery time. With an 8.3 ppg, 1.7 rpg, 1.7 apg average, Bellinelli hasn't been fantasy worthy. No one player will get his 19 mpg, but Kawhi Leonard, Manu Ginobili and Danny Green should each see more time.
Description: Spurs point guard Tony Parker led the team in scoring during Friday's loss to the Suns.
Insight: He shot 8-of-16 from the field and 1-of-2 from the line, for his 19 points. Parker also had six assists, two rebounds, two 3-pointers, and four turnovers. Owners will have to deal with the occasional DNP-CD, but other than that, Parker is in line for a nice season.

Insight: Barring a last-minute change, he will be on the court against the Suns, and will have a tremendous opportunity to build off his NBA Finals MVP Award. In contract news, Leonard has tabled talks with the Spurs until after the season, as he is pursuing a max-extension. Leonard will be a restricted free agent next summer.
Description: Spurs veteran guard Manu Ginobili scored 20 points off the bench on opening night against the Mavericks.
Insight: Ginobili shot 6-of-13 from the floor, including 2-for-6 from downtown. He chipped in six of his points from the free-throw line. Fantasy owners would like to see a better percentage, but they like the 20 points and six assists.
Description: Spurs point guard Tony Parker scored 23 points to lead San Antonio over Dallas, 101-100, on opening night.
Insight: Parker also had three assists, three rebounds and one turnover. He shot 60 percent from the floor including 4-for-4 from behind the arc. Parker appears to be the focal point of the Spurs offense at least until Kawhi Leonard returns.

Description: Spurs veteran guard Manu Ginobili is not on this season's recommended list.
Insight: Ginobili simply can't stay healthy and also seemed to hold back until playoff time. If you want a guy who gives you 11 points, three rebounds and four assists for about 60 games, Ginobili is your guy. Most fantasy owners want more.
Description: We loved what we saw out of San Antonio small forward Kawhi Leonard last season and in particular in the playoffs and expect that improvement to continue in Year 4.
Insight: Leonard was awarded the NBA Finals MVP for his contributions and while we don't think he can play 82 games at that level we're looking for him to improve on last season by racking up 14.8 ppg and 6.4 rpg. He's also got huge upside if one of the "old guys" goes down to injury.
Description: Spurs point guard Tony Parker must continue to shoulder a big part of the San Antonio offense as Tim Duncan's career winds down.
Insight: Parker's numbers fell last season after a huge 2012-13. Though only 32-years-old, he's played a lot of basketball, starting with the Spurs at age 19. We still think he's got more in the tank and rebounds to post around 18.5 ppg and 7.5 apg.
Description: Spurs forward Tim Duncan is no longer the "Big Fundamenta,l" but he's still a pretty good player and a solid fantasy option.
Insight: Where once he would score 20-plus points and 10-plus rebounds every night like clockwork, he still averaged 15.1 ppg and 9..7 rpg last season. But with it comes the occasional night off that a 38-year-old with almost 1,500 games played requires.
Description: Spurs guard Manu Ginobili (stress fracture in his right leg) has apparently not been granted permission by the Spurs to play in the FIBA World Cup of Basketball.

Description: Spurs guard Manu Ginobili (stress fracture in his right leg) says he no longer feels any pain, according to an interview he gave to Argentine website Canchallena.LaNacion.com.
Insight: Ginobili would like to play for his country in the 2014 FIBA World Cup, but only if healthy and free of pain. We expect Spurs coach Gregg Popovich hopes he bypasses the games and rests for the upcoming season.
Description: The Spurs have agreed to a three-year deal with Patty Mills, according to Buck Harvey of the San Antonio Express-News.
Insight: A torn rotator cuff that will keep Mills out for seven months put a damper on his free agency tour, although he may have planned to sign with the Spurs regardless. He averaged 10.2 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.7 threes in just 18.9 minutes per game for the Spurs during the regular season.

Description: Patty Mills came out of nowhere to score 17 points Sunday in San Antonio's series-clinching win over Miami.
Insight: Mills sunk five three-pointers including four in a row during a 14-point third quarter. A non-factor in last year's Finals (2.0 ppg), Mills proved to be a legitimate difference maker this time around, scoring 10.2 ppg in 15.2 minutes per contest.
