Description: Bengals running back Giovani Bernard (ribs) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Insight: He was most likely limited as a result of taking a few big hits in Sunday's loss to Indianapolis. The injury is not considered serious, making Bernard an RB1 option for Week 8 against Baltimore.
Description: Jacksonville running back Toby Gerhart (foot) is expected to return to practice on Wednesday.
Insight: It will most likely be in limited fashion, and Gerhart should be considered questionable at best heading into Week 8. Denard Robinson has earned his carries, and as a result Gerhart will probably be more of a goaline back.
Description: Bills backup running back Bryce Brown was working with the second team in Wednesday's practice according to Bills reporter Mike Rodak.
Insight: Things could, of course, change over the next few days. Brown and Anthony Dixon figure to share the time and we think Brown is the more explosive of the two, but the bigger Dixon is likely to get the goal line work.
Description: Eagles running back Darren Sproles (slight MCL tear in his left knee) "appears likely" to play in Week 8's contest against Arizona, according to CSN Philadelphia.
Insight: Sproles dodged a bullet by not tearing his ACL, and after getting through Tuesday's practice, it looks like he has a good chance to suit up. Sproles is getting just 5.5 touches per game, so if owners have better options, he is a player that can be kept on the bench.
Description: Former Cowboys running back Phillip Tanner has been signed by the Buffalo Bills.
Insight: Not surprising that the Bills would go out an find a running back to replace C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson. For fantasy owners he's just insurance behind Bryce Brown and Anthony Dixon and has no fantasy value.
Description: The Titans have signed running back Antonio Andrews from their practice squad.
Insight: He'll be behind both Bishop Sankey and Shonn Greene so has little fantasy value. The move could have been made to protect him from getting signed by another team with multiple running back injuries.
Description: Colts running back Trent Richardson will have an MRI on the hamstring that forced him out of Sunday's game.
Insight: He's said it was just a tweak and nothing serious, but the results of the MRI will tell us more. Richardson led the Colts with 14 carries and 77 yards in Week 7. If he out for any length of time Ahmad Bradshaw becomes a very good fantasy option.
Description: Bills backup running back Bryce Brown could end up being the big "winner" after injuries to Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller.
Insight: It's up to Brown and Anthony Dixon to carry the Bills running game for the next few weeks and maybe the next month. We think Brown is the more likely every down back with Dixon the red zone guy.
Description: Broncos running back Ronnie Hillman has taken full advantage of the starting opportunity and Montee Ball may not get it back when he returns from injury.
Insight: Hillman rushed 14 times for 74 yards and a pair of touchdowns and caught four balls for 29 yards. Coming on top of last week's 100-yard game, he's going to be tough to move out of the starting lineup.
Description: Raiders running back Darren McFadden rushed 14 times for 48 yards.
Insight: Not pretty, but at least he's getting the opportunities. Maurice Jones-Drew was supposed to get a larger share of the rushing attempts, but that isn't happening. McFadden is the only fantasy option out of the Raider backfield.
Description: Cardinals running back Andre Ellington saw another full workload, rushing 24 times and seeing nine targets.
Insight: Ellington rushed for 88 yards (3.7 ypc) and caught six for 72 yards, but failed to get into the end zone. Fantasy owners love the workload as long as his foot injury doesn't get any worse. They can't be happy that backup RB Stepfan Taylor scored twice.
Description: Anther game, another 100-yard day and a touchdowns for Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray.
Insight: He's posted seven consecutive 100-yard games and scored in six of the seven. He's the top fantasy running back through seven games and the only worry for fantasy owners is the heavy workload. He's on pace for 427 rushing attempts and 477 touches.
Description: New York running back Andre Williams posted mediocre numbers again as the Giants starter and has not taken advantage of his opportunity.
Insight: Williams rushed for 51 yards on 18 carries against the Cowboys. That's 35 carries for 110 yards (3.1 ypc) and no touchdowns over the past two games. Rashad Jennings should have no trouble regaining the starting job when healthy.
Description: Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart had 14 carries and 55 rushing yards against the Packers in Week 7.
Insight: Carolina cannot effectively run the ball, which is causing problems in the passing game and on defense. Stewart needs to improve if the Panthers expect to win and if owners expect to continue starting the Carolina running back.
Description: Lions running back Reggie Bush laid another fantasy egg in Week 7.
Insight: Bush is becoming a pretty big bust in 2014. He carried the ball just four times for 10 yards and caught five passes for 22 yards. At this point, Joique Bell is ahead of Bush on fantasy depth charts.
Description: Saints running back Mark Ingram led the team with 10 carries but only gained 16 yards.
Insight: It was Ingram's first game back from his injury, but it was a big disappointment. Many speculated Khiry Robinson would be involved just as much as Ingram was. That wasn't the case as Robinson only had three carries, but Ingram, obviously, did not take advantage.
Description: Bills running back Anthony Dixon rushed for 51 yards on 13 carries after C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson left Sunday's game with injuries.
Insight: Spiller could be out for some time with a broken collar bone. Jackson suffered an injury to his groin. Dixon and fellow running back Bryce Brown will be top waiver wire pickups this week if Jackson cannot go in Week 8.
Description: Say goodbye to any remaining fantasy value for Rams running back Zac Stacy.
Insight: It appears the Rams are ready to hand over the keys to the backfield to rookie Tre Mason. Mason finished with 18 carries for 85 yards and the touchdown and Benny Cunningham did the receiving work. Meanwhile, Stacy and his fantasy owners could only watch.
Description: Falcons backup running back Antone Smith had five touches against the Ravens on Sunday.
Insight: Smith broke his streak of consecutive games with a touchdown at five. It appeared the Falcons were trying to get Smith more involved, but the Atlanta rushing attack was horrible, not giving Smith many opportunities.
Description: Redskins running back Alfred Morris had 18 carries for 54 yards against the Titans on Sunday.
Insight: It was the second worst rushing average, 3.0, Morris has posted this season with the other coming against the Seahawks. He did suffer an ankle injury in the second quarter and played through it, so perhaps that effected Morris' performance.
Description: Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw scored two touchdowns against the Bengals in Week 7.
Insight: Bradshaw scored a rushing and receiving touchdown. He now has seven scores on the season. Richardson still receives more touches, but Bradshaw gets all the scores, which makes him the better fantasy play.
Description: Colts running back Trent Richardson led the Colts with 14 carries and 77 yards in Week 7.
Insight: Richardson is still running with a purpose, and the Colts are rewarding him by keeping him their top back despite the production from Ahmad Bradshaw. Richardson still needs to consistently find the end zone though in order to be considering a true RB1.
Description: Bengals running back Giovani Bernard had his worst statistical game of 2014 against the Colts in Week 7.
Insight: Bernard was one of a handful of running backs who had scored at least five points in every single week going into Sunday. Bernard had just seven carries for 17 yards and a negative yard in the passing game.
Description: Bills running back C.J. Spiller had to be carted off the field on Sunday against the Vikings. UPDATE: Spiller has been diagnosed with a broke collarbone according to Jason La Confora of CBS Sports.
Insight: Spiller has a shoulder injury. We do not yet know if he will return. Fred Jackson is already out of the game with a groin injury.
Description: Rams running back Zac Stacy is active for Week 7, but will likely split time with Bennie Cunningham.
Insight: Offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer confirmed that the team will use the "hot hand" approach at running back, moving forward. The backfield also has rookie Tre Mason who was active for the first time in Week 6.
Description: The final decision of whether running back Ray Rice will be reinstated this season will come in mid-November according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
Insight: That means Rice could sign with another team and become fantasy relevant just in time for the fantasy playoff run. The running back continues to stress that he did not lie to Roger Goodell when interviewed about the elevator incident and should, at the maximum, be suspended for six games as a first-time offender. La Confora speculates the Colts and Patriots may be interested in Rice, but The Sports Network believes the Panthers are a great fit if their running back cannot get healthy.
Description: Bills offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett told ESPN he "wants to continue feeding" C.J. Spiller.
Insight: That slightly puts a damper on Fred Jackon's big game last week. Owners of either Bills running back should continue to expect a split backfield. Spiller played just 12 snaps last week, but in every previous game, he had at least 13 touches. He likely saw only 12 snaps against the Patriots last week because he lost a fumble.
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball (groin) may not retain his role as the featured back upon his return, according to The Denver Post's Mike Klis.
Insight: He has not played well during the time he has been healthy, and now with Ronnie Hillman running well, it is looking likely that Denver will employ a committee approach. If that is the case, Ball will be a player dependent on scoring touchdowns. Owners should hang onto Ball, and expect him to return Week 9 at the earliest, but may be disappointed in his production for the rest of the season.
Description: Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer confirmed that the team will use the "hot hand" approach at running back, moving forward.
Insight: We essentially knew this already, but now that Schottenheimer delcared it, it makes Stacy's value plummet even more. With Benny Cunningham and Tre Mason in the mix, Stacy is a borderline droppable player.
Description: Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray missed Wednesday's practice but practiced in full Thursday and Friday and is ready to go.
Insight: Considering his workload the first six games, he just needed the extra day off. The last person to start the season with six consecutive 100-yard games was the great Jim Brown. Murray has also scored in five of the six contests. He's the top fantasy running back through six games and will be in Week 7 against the Giants.
Description: Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart has made it three consecutive full days of practice and is now in line for a heavy workload Sunday.
Insight: Stewart has been dealing with a knee problem for most of the season, but he's the healthiest back the Panthers have at this time and the Packers have given up the most rushing yards this season - 927 (154.5 ypg).
Description: New England running back Shane Vereen was the running back to have last night as he posted 43 yards rushing and caught five passes for 71 yards and two touchdowns.
Insight: We weren't sure how things would play out with Stevan Ridley sidelined, but Vereen saw 11 of 14 running back carries and was a force in the passing game. Brandon Bolden and Jonas Gray were non-factors.
Description: Patriots rookie running back James White is healthy scratch for Thursday's game against the Jets.
Insight: Some thought he would be mixed in at running back due to the Stevan Ridley injury. However, with rainy conditions at Foxboro, New England is holding White out. Brandon Bolden is in line for more work, with Jonas Gray mixing in as well. Shane Vereen will have the best opportunity to be a RB2 moving forward.
Description: Jacksonville rookie running back Storm Johnson has been spliting first string reps with Denard Robinson, according to Jaguars beat writer Mark Long.
Insight: Johnson rushed 10 times for 21 yards and a touchdown against the Titans and coach Gus Bradley said that was the plan ... to give him 10 carries. Sounds like a shared situation which won't make either fantasy owner happy.
Description: Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray missed Wednesday's practice due to illness, but was back taking his regular reps on Thursday.
Insight: Considering his workload the first six games, he might just have needed the day off. The last person to start the season with six consecutive 100-yard games was the great Jim Brown. Murray has also scored in five of the six contests. He's the top fantasy running back through six games.
Description: Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell's off-the-field issues should not concern fantasy owners for this season.
Insight: Bell's attorney waived his preliminary hearing, but the entire issue isn't likely to be completed until January and it will likely end up effecting next season's fantasy value in the form of a couple of weeks suspension.
Description: Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart has made it two consecutive full days of practice and is now in line for a heavy workload Sunday.
Insight: Stewart has been dealing with a knee problem for most of the season, but he's the healthiest back the Panthers have at this time. DeAngelo Williams (ankle) and Mike Tolbert (leg) are out while Darrin Reaves (calf) and Fozzy Whittaker (quad) are questionable at best.
Description: Saints running back Mark Ingram told ESPN that he is ready to go in Week 7.
Insight: Ingram has been fully practicing this week. We expect him to get 12-15 carries this Sunday against Detroit, but the stout Lions defense keeps Ingram a low-end RB2 or FLEX play in his first weekend back.
Description: Lions running back Reggie Bush practiced on Wednesday.
Insight: Bush missed Week 6 mostly as a "precaution" according to Bleacher Report. He is fully expected to play against the Saints much to the dismay of Joique Bell owners. Bush has not been good this season, so it is tough to plug him anywhere but the FLEX position or at RB2 in 12-team leagues or larger.
Description: Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said he would like to get running back Matt Asiata more touches and rookie Jerick McKinnon fewer touches this week according to WGR.
Insight: Why? Besides the game against the Falcons where Asiata scored three touchdowns, he has not done much to help the team. And even in that game, McKinnon outgained Asiata yardage wise. Asiata has averaged 3.5 yards per carry versus McKinnon's 5.0. The biggest reason for putting Asiata on the field more than the 15 snaps he saw in Week 6 were to help in pass protection. Asiata could continue to score on occasion, but McKinnon is still the back to owe in Minnesota.
Description: Giants running back Andre Williams will start again in Week 7 against the Cowboys.
Insight: Williams rushed for 58 yards on 16 carries against the Eagles last week in his first start in Rashard Jennings' absence. That was relatively disappointing, but the Giants fell behind early and were forced to abandon the running game. Williams hopes to be more involved this week, but Dallas has been an underrated defense to start the year.
Description: San Francisco rookie running back Carlos Hyde hasn't scored since Week 3 and as Frank Gore has gotten more work, the rookie's numbers have suffered.
Insight: Kendall Hunter was the handcuff for Frank Gore, but tore his right knee ACL leaving Hyde. Hyde scored twice in the first two weeks, but his production has slipped since and fantasy should keep him on the bench.
Description: The Dallas Morning News reports the Cowboys do not plan to suspend running back Joseph Randle for his shoplifting arrest.
Insight: Randle will be fined between $10,000 and $30,000. Fantasy owners will likely not want to touch Randle this week, but since he is not going to miss any games, owners should consider picking him up. Randle is the handcuff for the overworked DeMarco Murray, who has not played an entire 16-game season in his career.
Description: Rams coach Jeff Fisher confirmed there was nothing wrong with running back Zac Stacy on Monday night according to Adam Caplan of ESPN.
Insight: Fisher said the team just wanted to use three running backs, and it will likely continue to do so going forward. To make matters worse, Stacy was the least productive Rams' back with just 17 yards on eight carries against the 49ers.
Description: Fantasy owners thought Jaguars rookie running back Storm Johnson would get a full starter's workload, but apparently that wasn't the plan, according to a Florida Times-Union report.
Insight: Johnson rushed 10 times for 21 yards and a touchdown against the Titans and coach Gus Bradley said that was the plan ... to give him 10 carries. That's bad news for fantasy owners who claimed him off the waiver wire hoping he'd be a full-time starter.
Description: Patriots running back Stevan Ridley is officially done for the season.
Insight: He tore both his ACL and MCL, and could have played his final snap with New England, as he will be a free agent after the season. With the uncertainty at running back for the Patriots, owners can target James White and Brandon Bolden on waivers, but need to realize that no tailback is a sure thing. Shane Vereen will see the most increase in playing time, making him a viable RB2, moving forward.
Description: It has gotten worse and worse for Jets running back Chris Johnson.
Insight: Johnson has three carries for nine yards as the Jets gained just 31 yards rushing on 15 attempts. Chris Ivory had eight rushes for seven yards. The Jets offense is a disaster. It would be better to stay away from the entire unit.
Description: Browns running back Isaiah Crowell seems to have moved into the second running back role behind starter Ben Tate.
Insight: Tate rushed for 78 yards and 25 carries and two touchdowns while Crowell gained 77 yards less than half the attempts, 11, on Sunday. Crowell also scored. Terrence West is the odd man out as he did not have a rush attempt against the Steelers.
Description: Bengals running back Jeremy Hill was pretty disappointing in Week 6 against the Panthers.
Insight: Hill rushed eight times for 22 yards. He averaged just 2.8 yards per attempt while fellow running back Giovani Bernard gained 7.6 yards per carry. Hill did score a touchdown to make his day somewhat respectable.
Description: Buccaneers running back Doug Martin disappeared in Sunday's loss to the Ravens.
Insight: With the game out of hand early, Tampa Bay had to essentially abandon the running game. Martin finished the day with 11 carries for 45 yards, along with one catch for only three yards. He is no more than a RB3 for now.
Description: Bills running back C.J. Spiller played just 12 of 69 snaps, according to the box score.
Insight: It wasn't long ago that he was supposed to be the fantasy darling who was going to be run until he puked. His fantasy value is minimal these days with Fred Jackson seeing 75 percent of the snaps and 14 touches to six against New England.
Description: Eagles running back Darren Sproles, who left Sunday night's game, has a slight MCL tear in his left knee, according to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer
Insight: It's apparently a 2-3 week timetable for his return. The only good news is the Eagles have their bye next week so Sproles will have a couple of weeks to get healthy and may miss only one or at most two games.
Description: Raiders running back Darren McFadden rushed 14 times for 80 yards.
Insight: Maurice Jones-Drew was supposed to get a larger share of the rushing attempts, but that didn't happen. We still don't know what to make of the Raiders backfield and at this time don't recommend either back, but if you must then McFadden is the option.
Description: Does anyone besides me wonder why Falcons running back Steven Jackson still has the starting job?
Insight: Jackson rushed for 25 yards on six carries Sunday against Chicago which is above his season average of 3.8 ypc. Isn't it time to give Antone Smith a shot as the starter based on what he's done?
Description: Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray rushed for over 100 yards for a sixth straight game.
Insight: The last person to start the season with six consecutive 100-yard games was the great Jim Brown. Murray has also scored in five of the six contests. He's the top fantasy running back through six games.
Description: Patriots running back Stevan Ridley possibly tore his ACL in New England's Week 6 win.
Insight: An MRI is scheduled for Monday, but reports have not been good. If Ridley is sidelined for the rest of the season, Shane Vereen will see an increased workload, and Brandon Bolden will see an increase in snaps as well.
Description: Bengals running back Giovani Bernard had a monster game Sunday against the Panthers.
Insight: He had 137 yards on 18 carries, including an 89-yard touchdown run. Bernard left the game with a shoulder injury, but did return. However, while he was out, Jeremy Hill was able to manage a touchdown. Assuming he is healthy, Bernard will be a RB1.
Description: Bills running back Fred Jackson again received more carries then fellow running back C.J. Spiller in Week 6.
Insight: Jackson only gained 26 yards on 10 carries and caught four passes for 17 more yards, but he did score a rushing touchdown. Jackson is proving he is the better back to own in the Bills backfield.
Description: Dolphins running back Lamar Miller will have to share carries with returning Knowshon Moreno.
Insight: Miller should still see the majority of the work this week as Moreno will likely be on a snap count. Next week he will be a lot riskier play, but for Week 6 he's still the best Dolphins option.
Description: Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno is active for Week 6 against the Packers.
Insight: That is interesting because Moreno was limited in practice on Friday. On Thursday, he had problems practicing with a bulky brace on his healed dislocated elbow. We expect him to see around 6-10 touches with Lamar Miller still getting the bulk of the workload.
Description: Broncos running back Ronnie Hillman will start against the Jets.
Insight: If Hillman can produce early in the game, he could be in line for a big day. However, owners should note that Denver could use the "hot-hand" approach. Look for C.J Anderson and Juwan Thompson to get some snaps as well.
Description: Denverbroncos.com reports that the team could use a running back by committee approach against the Jets in Week 6.
Insight: Specifically, the website said the team plans to use the "hot hand". Ronnie Hillman is expected to start, but C.J. Anderson and Juwan Thompson will also receive carries. That makes none of them very good fantasy plays.
Description: San Francisco offensive coordinator told CSN Bay Area the team is purposefully limiting running back Frank Gore's carries this season.
Insight: Gore has 77 rushes this season, which is the second-fewest through five games of any season in his career. Gore has been used more in the last two games, getting 24 carries against Philadelphia in Week 4 and 18 attempts versus the Chiefs in Week 5. The 49ers won both those games after starting the year 1-2. It might be hard to turn away from the running game the rest of the season because that is how San Francisco wants to win. Perhaps Carlos Hyde will be more involved going forward, but count on Gore to get his share.
Description: Titans rookie running back Bishop Sankey should lead the team in carries with Shonn Green out with a hamstring injury.
Insight: Where have we heard this before? Even with Greene in the lineup, coach Ken Whisenhunt has said Sankey will be more involved but that hasn't happened yet. Tennessee might be forced to go to Sankey, though, with no Greene, and the Jaguars are a favorable matchup.
Description: ESPN's Dan Graziano reports the Giants do not trust rookie running back Andre Williams in the passing game.
Insight: Williams has not displayed very good hands catching balls. He has also not shown the ability to pass block. That likely means he will not play much on third down, which makes him a much riskier play against the Eagles this Sunday night.
Description: ESPN reporter Michael Rothstein predicts Lions running back Joique Bell to receive between 15-to-18 carries against the Vikings this Sunday.
Insight: Reggie Bush is not expected to play, so Bell will be the go-to back for the Lions. Minnesota has allowed the eighth most fantasy points to opponents running backs, so Bell could be in for his best fantasy day of the year.
Description: Saints running back Mark Ingram will move slowly back into his starting role.
Insight: Ingram is hoping to return in Week 7 after the Saints bye this weekend, but with the emergence of Khiry Robinson, New Orleans has the luxury of not rushing Ingram back into the feature role. Once Ingram does regain the starting position, Robinson is also expected to be more involved than he was before Ingram's injury.
Description: Dolphins running back Lamar Miller is probable for Sunday's game against the Packers.
Insight: Miller was added to the injury report on Thursday with a foot injury. He did, however, practice in full on Friday. He is a bit of a risky play because Knowshon Moreno will likely also play. No one knows for sure how the workload will be divided.
Description: Rams running back Zac Stacy practiced on Friday after missing Thursday's practice.
Insight: Stacy is dealing with a calf strain, but he should not miss Monday night's game. Still, Benny Cunningham and Trey Watts may see some action, which makes Stacy more of a FLEX play rather than a RB2.
Description: Panthers running back Darrin Reaves is probable for Week 6 against the Bengals.
Insight: Reaves is dealing with a hip issue, but Carolina has no one else left to run the ball. He will likely start with all the injuries at running back for the Panthers. Jonathan Stewart is a game-time decision, but he didn't make it through the second quarter of his last start. Even if Reaves starts, Reaves is not much better than a low-end RB3.
Description: Cardinals running back Andre Ellington is a solid RB1 despite the quarterback situation in Arizona.
Insight: Ellington probably sees his stock rise because third-string quarterback Logan Thomas might start. The Redskins defense hasn't allowed many fantasy points to opposing backs this year, but they did allowed 225 rushing yards to Seattle at home. Ellington should see more than 20 touches on Sunday.
Description: Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno is listed as probable for Week 6 against the Packers.
Insight: That is interesting because Moreno was limited in practice on Friday. On Thursday, he had problems practicing with a bulky brace on his healed dislocated elbow. Even if he plays, it is a bit risky to count on Moreno getting the bulk of the carries over Lamar Miller in his first game back.
Description: Lions running back Reggie Bush did not practice on Thursday due to an ankle injury according to the Detroit Free Press.
Insight: Bush can still play Sunday if he practices on Friday, but owners should have a backup plan in case he doesn't suit up. Joique Bell and Theo Riddick are both practicing, so the Lions have options at running back this week.
Description: Vikings suspended running back Adrian Peterson is facing a possible arrest for violating terms of his bond.
Insight: Peterson admitted to marijuana consumption, before taking a madatory drug test on Wednesday, according to court records. His trial date has been set for December 1st, and it remains unclear if this will have any effect, but is still troubling to hear nonetheless. The chances of Peterson returning to play in 2014, grows smaller and smaller by the day.
Description: Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart was inactive for Week 5, but returned to the practice field Thursday, according to beat writer Steve Reed.
Insight: Stewart has a better chance than fellow running back DeAngelo Williams to return Sunday. Darrin Reaves and Chris Ogbonnaya would carry the load in the backfield if Stewart isn't ready. Given Stewart's injury history, fantasy owners should not count on him.
Description: Cardinals running back Andre Ellington was limited in Wednesday's practice because of his foot.
Insight: Ellington has not fully practiced all season because of his foot, so this really isn't a concern. Washington is a tough matchup, but Marshawn Lynch gained over 100 yards of offense and caught a touchdown pass, so Ellington is a low-end RB1 or high-end RB2.
Description: Browns running back Ben Tate is fully practicing this week.
Insight: Tate finally returned to action against the Titans last week and rushed for 123 yards on 22 carries. Tate is a low-end RB1 this week against the Steelers. Tate averaged 6.8 yards per rush against Pittsburgh in Week 1.
Description: Lions running back Reggie Bush was held out of practice on Wednesday.
Insight: He is dealing with an ankle injury, and his status is up in the air. Bush downplayed the injury, but owners will need to see some progress, as the week progresses. Joique Bell returned to practice for Detroit, but is still in the concussion protocol.
Description: Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno (elbow) is back at practice Wednesday.
Insight: He is wearing a brace protecting his dislocated elbow, but it's a great sign he is back on the practice field. It is hard to determine who will see the majority of carries between him and Lamar Miller, but a timeshare should be expected. If Moreno suits up, he should be viewed as a RB3 with RB2 upside.
