Description: Free agent wideout Danario Alexander is dealing with major complications from his knee surgery, according to foxsports.com.
Insight: Alexander had surgery on his torn right ACL last August and had to undergo a second surgery on the ligament in January. Since that procedure, Alexander has undergone "multiple" surgeries because of infection. The 25-year-old already had undergone five surgeries on his left knee dating back to before he entered the NFL when he tore his right ACL during the 2013 preseason. The receiver showed promise with 37 catches, 658 yards and seven touchdowns in the final nine games of 2012 for the Chargers but his career is in jeopardy.

Description: Free agent wideout Danario Alexander had a second surgery on his torn right ACL last month and is questionable for the start of next season.
Insight: Alexander has little hope of signing more than a one-year deal after seven knee surgeries.

Description: According to Chargers.com, Danario Alexander suffered a torn right ACL during Tuesday's practice and is likely done for the season.
Insight: Alexander has already had surgery on his left knee five times in the past, and now he'll have to rehab his right one. The oft-injured receiver made a splash with the Chargers last season, catching 37 passes for 658 yards and seven touchdowns in 10 games after the team took a chance on him in late October. Fantasy owners should bump Vincent Brown and Malcom Floyd up the draft board.

Description: Chargers receiver Danario Alexander injured his right knee in practice, according to beat writer Michael Gehlken.
Insight: The knee was iced and wrapped, but he stayed on the sidelines. Keeping healthy is Alexander's No. 1 problem and the only good news here is that it wasn't the left knee which has already dealt with five surgeries. He's never played more than 10 games in a season.

Insight: The Bolts found their No. 1 receiver in the middle of the season, and fantasy owners also found a reliable WR3 down the stretch in the oft-injured 24-year-old. While owners may remember his goose egg in Week 15, Alexander ended up catching 37 balls for 658 yards and seven scores in his final nine games, numbers that translate to 65 catches, 1,169 yards and 12 touchdowns in a 16-game season. He'll be a starter next year as long as he stays healthy.

Description: Chargers receiver Danario Alexander snagged his seventh touchdown of the season Sunday against the Raiders.
Insight: The Bolts found their No. 1 receiver in the middle of the season, and fantasy owners also found a reliable WR3 down the stretch. While owners may remember his goose egg in Week 15, Alexander ended up catching 37 balls for 658 yards and seven scores in his final nine games, numbers that translate to 65 catches, 1,169 yards and 12 touchdowns in a 16-game season.

Description: Chargers receiver Danario Alexander caught seven balls for 88 yards and two touchdowns Sunday against Pittsburgh.
Insight: Alexander has quickly become Philip Rivers' favorite target. In his last six games, Alexander has accumulated 555 yards and five touchdowns. He's a must-start regardless of opponent or the lousy state of San Diego's offensive line.

12/9/2012 12:24:00 PM
Description: Chargers receiver Danario Alexander has become the Chargers' best deep threat, but could struggle against the Pittsburgh defense.
Insight: Alexander's problem is that QB Philip Rivers doesn't figure to have much time to throw deep given the absence of most of his starting offensive lineman.

Insight: Alexander should be ready to go in Week 13, but keep an eye on this to make sure it doesn't get any worse. Alexander has become a solid fantasy option since arriving in San Diego.

11/11/2012 12:30:00 PM
Description: Chargers receiver Danario Alexander started and produced huge numbers Sunday for the Chargers, catching five passes for 134 yards and a touchdown.
Insight: Much of Alexander's production came from an 80-yard reception early in the game. He's surpassed Robert Meachem on the depth chart already and is a must-add.

Description: Chargers receiver Danario Alexander is starting over Robert Meachem Sunday but both are expected to see "sufficient snaps." SOURCE: Michael Gehlken, San Diego Union-Tribune
Insight: We like Alexander's talent but we're going to have to see him produce before we can recommend him as a fantasy option. So far, only Malcom Floyd has been worth owning among San Diego receivers.

11/2/2012 8:18:00 PM
Description: Chargers coach Norv Turner said receiver Danario Alexander is "going to be a big part of what we do," according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Insight: Alexander was signed last week and was forced into action Thursday with Robert Meachem and Eddie Royal both inactive. He finished with three catches for 61 yards. While he might be a part of the receiver rotation going forward we don't recommend owning any Chargers receiver other than Malcom Floyd (and tight end Antonio Gates).
