Berea, OH (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Browns placed left guard Jason Pinkston on injured reserve Monday.

Pinkston, who was hospitalized for a blood clot last week, missed Sunday's contest against the Indianapolis Colts. Prior to his hospitalization, Pinkston had started the first six games of the season for the Browns.

In a corresponding roster move, Cleveland promoted offensive lineman Jarrod Shaw to the active roster and signed offensive lineman Bryant Browning to the practice squad.
