Charlotte Bobcats (18-60) at Detroit Pistons (27-52), 7:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Charlotte Bobcats will play their final road game of the season when they square off with the Detroit Pistons Friday at The Palace.
Charlotte has lost 13 in a row on the road and is 6-34 away from home this season. The Bobcats are 0-2 on their three-game road trip, which resumed with Tuesday's 94-75 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Kemba Walker paced the Bobcats with 19 points and Gerald Henderson netted 13 for Charlotte, which has dropped three in a row and six of seven games.
"We just have to do a better job on the back stretch," said Bobcats coach Mike Dunlap. "That's kind of been the issue."
On a positive note, the Bobcats have won 11 more games than last season. Henderson and Walker are averaging a combined 39.8 points in the 17 games played since March 8. Henderson is posting 21.6 ppg in that time.
After visiting the Pistons, the Bobcats will close out the campaign with three straight home games versus Milwaukee, New York and Cleveland. Charlotte has won five of its last seven home assignments, averaging 99.7 ppg in that time.
The Pistons are also playing out the string and will host Charlotte and Philadelphia on this short homestand.
Detroit has won two in a row and three of five games, and registered a 111-104 victory at Cleveland on Wednesday behind a big night from Andre Drummond. The rookie scored a career-high 29 points on 10-of-11 shooting and also had 11 rebounds for the Pistons.
"The great thing about Andre is he struggled in the first half and was able to bounce back. I thought his energy was great to start that third quarter. And to me, it's all about rim protection. That's his huge advantage," Detroit head coach Lawrence Frank said.
Greg Monroe added 23 points and eight rebounds, while Rodney Stuckey finished with 18 points and seven assists for Detroit, which got 16 points off the bench from Will Bynum.
The Pistons are 16-23 at The Palace this season and just 1-8 in the previous nine home games. Pistons guard Jose Calderon (triceps) is doubtful Friday and has missed two straight and three of four games.
Detroit is 2-1 against Charlotte this season and has won seven of eight and 10 of the last 15 meetings between the teams. Charlotte has lost seven of 10 and 11 of the 15 contests at the Pistons.
