Insight: Perry was about the only bright spot for the Ducks as Anaheim lost to the New York Rangers, 7-2. Somehow, Perry managed to finish plus-one and led the team with eight shots on net. He has 19 assists with his 31 goals and plus-15 rating in 59 games this season. Perry is ninth in the league in goals scored.
Description: Ducks defenseman Sami Vatanen returned from his leg injury on Friday and got right back into the swing of things.
Insight: Vatanen had missed 15 games, but posted an assist on Corey Perry's goal. He has 12 goals and 23 assists in 58 games this season and is the point man on the Ducks power play. Make sure he's back in your lineup.

Insight: Perry continues to produce for fantasy owners, however he actually has not lived up to expectations this season. After coming into 2014-15 as the third-ranked player, he is just a top-60 option at the moment.
Description: Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf scored a goal during Saturday's victory over the Oilers.
Insight: Francois Beauchemin also lit the lamp for Anaheim, as the Ducks won 2-1. Getzlaf keeps trucking along, with 19 goals, 57 points, 45 penalty minutes, and a plus-10 rating through 57 games this season.
Description: Anaheim Ducks winger Matt Beleskey will miss 2-4 weeks with an upper-body injury
Insight: Beleskey has 21 goals and 30 points through 56 games this season, both career marks. The Ducks have a lot of talent off the ice right now as Beleskey joins D Sami Vatanen and G Frederik Andersen on the sidelines.

Insight: Despite missing more time, the fact he skated was a good sign. Andersen has not played since the net fell on him last week. The Ducks have missed him as they have allowed seven goals in the two games Andersen has missed. He is 29-8-5 with a 2.37 GAA and .916 save percentage this season.
Description: The Ducks pulled starting goalie Ilya Bryzgalov on Tuesday after he allowed three goals on eight shots versus the Panthers.
Insight: John Gibson replaced him at about the five minute mark of the second period. Gibson allowed three of his own goals on 18 shots, so he didn't exactly run away with the goaltending job either. As soon as Frederik Andersen can play again, he will certainly be in net.

Insight: Perry has continued to remain productive picking up four assists in the last five games, including an assist on the power play versus the Blackhawks on Friday. Owners, however, would like to see Perry find the back of the net again. He has 19 goals and 13 assists in 35 games this season.

Insight: Maroon assisted Corey Perry's score in the first period and then scored his third goal of the season off passes from Ryan Getzlaf and Sami Vatanen. Maroon has three goals and 16 assists in 37 games this season.
Description: Jets center Mathieu Perreault left Friday's game with an undisclosed injury and will not return according to the team's twitter page.
Insight: Too bad. Perrault was one of our reccommended pickups with him scoring four goals on Tuesday. He has been on fire with points in 16 of 19 games since the start of December. Hopefully he isn't out too long.

Insight: Perreault had a hat trick before the game was halfway over and added another score about a minute after his third. Perreault was also plus-four. He has 15 goals and 13 assists in 43 games this season.
Description: Ducks goalie Ilya Bryzgalov will start in the pipes for Anaheim on Wednesday against the Rangers.
Insight: He probably isn't owned by many owners based on his performance in his previous two appearances this season. Bryzgalov lost his only start, 6-2, to the Senators and then allowed two goals on seven shots in a relief outing. He has a .789 save percentage and a 6.40 GAA in the two games.

Insight: Andersen made 28 saves and stopped the first three shootout attempts he faced, but he did allow the fourth shootout attempt to get past him as the Ducks lost, 2-1. Andersen is 19-5-4 and his 19 victories still has him ranked second in the league.

Insight: Andersen made 23 saves and allowed just one goal in the, 2-1, victory over the Canadiens. It was a nice way to see him respond after he allowed four goals in 45 minutes on Tuesday. Prior to that, Anderson won his last seven starts. In December, Andersen is 8-1-0.

Insight: Andersen has won his last six starts as the Ducks are on a seven-game winning streak. Over that streak, Andersen's numbers haven't been that impressive as the Ducks offense has really carried them. Andersen has a .914 save percentage and a 2.40 GAA.

Insight: He made 21 saves on 23 shots, and has now won six consecutive games. Anderson is an early candidate for the Vezina Trophy, as he sports a 16-4-4 record, with a 2.44 GAA and .913 save percentage.

Insight: Perry was minus-five in his first two games after he came off injured reserve. In his last three games, Perry is plus-two with a goal and an assist. It is safe to put Perry back in the starting lineup.

Insight: Andersen practiced Tuesday. He is 7-1-0 with a 1.60 GAA and .941 save percentage. In the meantime, Jason LaBarbera would be the obvious option after stepping in for Gibson Tuesday and beating Colorado 3-2.
Description: Ducks defensive prospect Shea Theodore is still a week-or-two away from returning to the ice.
Insight: Theodore suffered a ulnar collateral ligament sprain at the start of training camp. Originally, he was supposed to return in four-to-six weeks, but it has already been seven. If you kept him on your squad this long, you might as well keep waiting. He should be back soon and had 79 points in 70 WHL Games last season.

Insight: Gibson allowed six goals in the season opener against Pittsburgh, but voluntarily went down to the minors to work on a few things. Apparently he fixed the problems. Gibson is a must-add in all standard formats.

Insight: Perry scored on the power play on passes from Sami Vatanen and Cam Fowler early in the first period. Perry then assisted Devante Smith-Pelly's goal in the second period. The Ducks won, 4-1. Perry is tied for the league lead with 12 points.

Insight: Gibson started opening night and allowed six goals to the Penguins. Frederik Andersen took over in net and has won his last six starts. During that time, Gibson asked to be sent to the minors to get a few starts to stay fresh, so we do not expect him to at all be rusty on Friday.

Insight: He scored a goal and was +1 on the night, and now has five goals and seven points through five games. There is no reason to think that Perry is going to slow dowm, as it is looking like he is well on his way to a monster season.

Insight: Beleskey is playing on the top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry and fantasy owners should take advantage of this opportunity because it won't last long. on. Dany Heatley could return in about a week and re-take his spot on the top line.

Insight: Anaheim is splitting time between Andersen and fellow goaltender John Gibson to start the season. Gibson had a couple qustionable starts, so it is nice to see Andersen play well. He posted a .929 save percentage on Tuesday.
Description: Anaheim defenseman Sami Vatanen ran the point on the potent Ducks power play on Thursday night.
Insight: The Ducks scored three times on the power play against the Pittsburgh Penguins and Vatanen earned assists on two of them. Anaheim went with four forwards and just Vatanen as the one defenseman on the man advantage. Vatanen's fantasy value is through the roof if he remains with this unit.
Description: Ducks center Ryan Kesler had two assists in his Anaheim debut in Pittsburgh on Thursday.
Insight: Kesler played over four minutes on the power play, which is certainly encouraging for his fantasy owners. Both of his assists came with the man advantage. Kesler's fantasy value greatly rises if he can continue to play with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry on the power play.
Description: Ducks winger Corey Perry registered his sixth-career hat trick as the Ducks lost to the Penguins, 6-4, on Thursday.
Insight: Perry took advantage of a Marc-Andre Fleury mishap to score his first goal. Fleury left his crease to play the puck and turned it over to Ducks' Patrick Maroon, who then found Perry wide open in front of the net. Perry also scored twice on the power play. Despite the three points, he finished with a minus-one rating.
Description: Winger Patrick Maroon is practicing on the first line with center Ryan Getzlaf and winger Corey Perry.
Insight: Maroon is taking the place of the injured Dany Heatley, who is out with a groin injury. Maroon is a player worth keeping an eye on because there is no timetable for Heatley's return. If Maroon plays well, he may even stay on the first line when Heatley does return.
Description: Ducks right wing Kyle Palmieri suffered a high ankle sprain to his right leg and is expected to miss about two weeks.
Insight: That timetable would return him to the lineup just around opening day. He had 14 goals and 17 assists in 71 games last season - not everyday start-worthy, but a nice fill-in option for fantasy owners.

Description: Ducks 20-year-old goaltender John Gibson has saved 67 of 70 shots in the last two games against the Kings. Anaheim won both games and leads 3-2 in its second-round series against Los Angeles.
Insight: Gibson made three appearances with the Ducks all season and was starting for Anaheim's AHL team just last week, but the team needed a starting goalie after Frederik Andersen suffered a lower-body injury. Gibson had a shutout Saturday and saved 39 of 42 shots in a 4-3 win Monday night.

Insight: The Ducks lost all confidence in Jonas Hiller after he was shelled in March and April. Gibson was the top North American goalie available in the 2011 NHL Draft and was selected 39th overall by Anaheim. He had a .919 SV% in the regular season and a .955 SV% in the postseason for Norfolk of the AHL this season, and now he'll be thrown into the fire of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with the Ducks down 2-1.

Insight: He saw almost 26 minutes of action, the most he's played since March 28th against Edmonton. That's impressive considering the gruesome facial injury Getzlaf suffered in the first round versus Dallas. He now has nine points (three goals, six assists) in six postseason appearances in 2014.
Description: Anaheim center Ryan Getzlaf (upper body) missed Game 4 of the Western Conference quarterfinals against the Stars on Wednesday, but skated with the first line in Friday's practice.
Insight: Dallas won Game 4 to tie the series 2-2 and Anaheim certainly needs Getzlaf back. The 28-year-old center had 87 points this season, second-most in the NHL. We're now leaning toward expecting him to be on the line with Corey Perry and Nick Bonino tonight.
