It's not like Hammond has been bad, but he will have to be better if Ottawa is going to comeback from the 2-0 deficit versus Montreal.

Insight: Zibanejad's score on the same power play where Ottawa allowed a shorthanded goal. His goal tied the game again at three, but Brian Flynn's goal towards the end of the period was the game-winner for Montreal.

Insight: This was a game Ottawa really needed, but at least they still got a point. With Pittsburgh and Detroit losing on Sunday, Ottawa is just two points behind both those teams with three games to play. The Senators and Penguins will play on Tuesday. Hammond is now 17-1-2 this season.

Insight: Stone scored the first goal of the game and then assisted the game-winner from Patrick Wiercioch. The Eastern Conference is really jumbled right now with seven teams fighting for five spots. Excluding Florida, seven of those teams are within six points of each other with four or five games to go for each team. Should be an exciting last week of the regular season.

Insight: This was a very well played defensive game as there were no goals for over 47 minutes. The only goal Hammond allowed was a power-play goal in the first period. He made 28 saves and is now 16-1-1 this season.

Insight: Hammond only faced 17 shots, so the save percentage wasn't off the charts, but it was a very solid .941. He stopped two of four shootout attempts from Detroit. Hammond should make a majority of the starts left for Ottawa with the Senators pushing for a playoff spot.

Insight: Hoffman has been slumping a bit lately as he had just two goals and two assists in March before Monday. The three points versus the Sharks is hopefully a sign he has things turning around for good. Hoffman has 26 goals and 20 assists in his rookie season.

Insight: Hammond is 14-0-1 in his first 15 starts in the NHL. Entering Monday's game versus the Sharks, he had a 1.65 GAA and .947 save percentage. Ottawa beat San Jose, 5-2, and Hammond made 29 saves in the victory.
Description: Senators center Kyle Turris had a pair of goals with an assist in the huge victory over the Bruins on Thursday.
Insight: The win puts Ottawa two points behind the Bruins and the Senators have a game in hand. Turris scored an even strength goal 19 seconds into the game and then the last goal on an empty net with 19 seconds to go. He was also plus-three. Turris has 19 goals and 31 assists in 70 games this season.

Insight: Hammond took over in net on Feb. 16 and promptly won his first five starts, leading Ottawa on a five-game winning streak. The Senators have picked up 16 points in their last 10 games to stay alive in the playoff race. If owners need goalie help, Hammond can provide some.

Insight: Karlsson scored both his points on the power play, notching the game in the second period and then assisting Mike Hoffman's goal. Ottawa came back to beat San Jose, 4-2. Karlsson has 15 goals and 32 assists in 60 games this season.

Insight: Ryan helped Ottawa get back into the game as the Senators fell behind, 3-0. Insight: Karlsson is used to the points, but it is pretty rare for the defeseman to have a plus-rating because of his lack of defensive prowless. Karlsson has seven goals, 18 assists and a minus-11 rating in 36 games.

Insight: Ryan was everywhere, leading the Senators with eight shots on net Monday. Three of them got past Jonas Enroth as Ottawa routed Buffalo, 5-2. Ryan has 10 goals and 15 assists in 33 games this season.

Insight: Anderson made 33 saves, however, he also allowed three goals. One goal was a redirected shot from Brandon Sutter on the power play and the game-winner was a nasty slap shot from Christian Ehrhoff, who had about two seconds to wind up because he was so wide open. With the loss, Anderson drops to 5-7-4.

Insight: He is coming off a 55-point season, and is firmly in the prime of his career, at 29-years-old. MacArthur could eventually see time on Ottawa's top line, making him a potential steal late in drafts.

Insight: He had a somewhat down year during his first season with Ottawa (23 goals, 25 assists). Look for Ryan to be closer to the 60-point mark in 2014-15. Target him starting anywhere from the fifth round.

Insight: He had decent scoring numbers, with 17 goals and 22 assists. However, Michalek had a rough -25 rating. Heading into the season, it would seem he will go undrafted, but could turn into a solid waiver pickup.
Description: Those concerned that Ottawa goalie Craig Anderson would be in a 50-50 time share situation with Robin Lehner should like the words spoken by head coach Paul MacLean on Friday.
Insight: "Craig Anderson is the No. 1 goaltender," reports Wayne Scanlan of the Ottawa Citizen. Anderson was a disappointing 25-16-8 with a 3.00 GAA and .911 save percentage last season. Only time will tell, but we see Lehner with a significant workload.
Description: Left wing Clarke MacArthur and the Senators have come to terms on a five-year extension.
Insight: MacArthur went on to tell the Ottawa Sun that he will not change the way he plays the game. "Just because I've got a five-year deal, that doesn't mean I need to change a whole lot. I kind of want to play the same game. I want to play good in both ends." MacArthur had 24 goals and 31 assists in his first season in Ottawa last year.
Description: David Legwand has signed a two-year, $6 million contract with the Senators.
Insight: Legwand played the first 956 games of his career with the Nashville Predators before going to his hometown Red Wings at the trade deadline last season. He finished with 51 points (14 goals) in 83 games.
