Portland Trail Blazers Player Notes
For The Last 365 Days

Nicolas Batum, F1/27/2015 4:17:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers small forward Nicolas Batum said that he is mostly pain-free, after putting up some shots in Tuesday's practice.
Insight: He is still questionable for Wednesday's game, but Batum is trending in the right direction. Stay tuned.
Damian Lillard, PG1/26/2015 11:27:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard's owners will have to wait until his next start against Cleveland Wednesday as it appears the Portland-Brooklyn game has been postponed by the expected snowstorm in the New York area Monday night.
Insight: Lillard is having a great season, averaging 22 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 6.2 apg, 1.4 steals and 2.7 three-pointers per night.
Dorell Wright, F1/25/2015 9:24:00 AM
Description: Portland shooting guard/small forward Dorell Wright made the best of the opportunity of the absence of starter Nicolas Batum Saturday night.
Insight: Allen Crabbe started, but didn't take a shot on pull down a rebound in his shot time on the floor. Wright and Will Barton each played 20-plus minutes with Wright having the bigger impact (10 points, six rebounds, three assists).
Allen Crabbe, FCold1/25/2015 9:22:00 AM
Description: Allen Crabbe made the start at small forward Saturday night for the injured Nicolas Batum, but played just seven minutes and showed no signs of fantasy value.
Insight: Crabbe didn't take a shot or pull down a rebound in his short time on the floor. Dorell Wright and Will Barton each played 20-plus minutes with Wright having the bigger impact (10 points, six rebounds, three assists).
Damian Lillard, PG1/25/2015 9:19:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard didn't have a very good night, but went 8-of-8 from the line to help save the day for his fantasy owners.
Insight: The surprise return of LaMarcus Aldridge stiffled some of the expected additional scoring we predicted from Lillard, but he's still an elite point guard. He finished Saturday night with 20 points, seven assists, three rebounds and a steal.
LaMarcus Aldridge, FHot1/25/2015 9:13:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) went from expected to missd 6-8 weeks back to fantasy stud in a blink of an eye.
Insight: Aldridge decided to delay surgery on his left thumb for the good of the team and racked up a team-high 26 points on 9-for-22 shooting. He also hauled down nine rebounds and didn't seem to injury the thumb any further by playing. It appears it will be all about pain management and as long as he's out there he's a must-start.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F1/24/2015 3:17:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) will play Saturday versus Washington.
Insight: This is an absolute shock, as he was expected to miss 6-8 weeks. However, Aldridge is delaying surgery on his left thumb, and will give it a go. Get him in into your lineups immediately.
Nicolas Batum, F1/23/2015 8:29:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers small forward Nicolas Batum is out for Saturday's game versus the Wizards.
Insight: This is no surprise as Batum is still dealing with his wrist injury. There is no one player that will fill the void left by Batum, so fantasy owners will have to look outside of Portland to find a fantasy replacement for Saturday.
Nicolas Batum, F1/23/2015 11:38:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers small forward Nicolas Batum is questionable for Saturday's game against Washington due to a sprained right wrist.
Insight: Just when he appeared ready to bust out, particularly with LaMarcus Aldridge sidelined for up to two months, Batum hit's a speed bump. After scoring 27 on Wednesday, Batum shot 0-for-6 from the field Thursday and was held scoreless in 22 minutes against Boston.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F1/22/2015 9:32:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) will miss the next 6-to-8 weeks.
Insight: He will have surgery on his radial collateral ligament. This is detrimental news for owners. Dorrell Wright, Thomas Robinson, Meyers Leonard, and Chris Kaman should all benefit.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F1/22/2015 1:55:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge has a cast on his thumb and is receiving another MRI Thursday according to The Sporting News.
Insight: Aldridge did not get a reading on his first MRI because of swelling, so he needs another one. The cast, however, cannot be great. It would be a huge surprise to see Aldridge in the lineup on Thursday.
Damian Lillard, PG1/22/2015 9:25:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard had a poor shooting night but did avoid an overall fantasy dud on Wednesday.
Insight: Lillard was just 6-of-22 from the field and shot 20 percent from the 3-point line. Lillard did make all eight of his free throws, though, and had 22 points, six assists, three rebounds and two steals.
Nicolas Batum, F1/22/2015 9:22:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers small forward Nicolas Batum led Portland with 27 points in the loss to Phoenix on Wednesday.
Insight: Batum sunk an incredible six 3-pointers and grabbed 10 rebounds. He also had five assists and a block. As long as LaMarcus Aldridge is out, Batum has potential to have games like this, but he will likely not make six 3-pointers in a game again. Plus, once Aldridge returns, Batum returns to a much small fantasy contributor.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F1/20/2015 4:05:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge left Monday night's game with a left thumb injury and has already been ruled out for Wednesday.
Insight: X-rays were negative, but he will not go with the team to Phoenix, instead he'll see a hand specialist. This is a huge blow for fantasy owners who cann't replace his 23.2 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 1.9 apg, 1.2 bpg. Thomas Tobinson would see more time, but he hasn't shown much fantasy value to date.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F1/20/2015 9:14:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge left Monday night's game with a left thumb injury.
Insight: X-rays were negative, but he'll has additional tests Tuesday. This would be ahuge blow for fantasy owners who couldn't replace his 23.2 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 1.9 apg, 1.2 bpg. Thomas Tobinson would see more time, but he hasn't shown much fantasy value to date.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F1/16/2015 11:01:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge scored 24 points to lead Portland in scoring on Friday.
Insight: It wasn't enough, however, as the Trail Blazers lost to the Spurs, 110-96. Aldridge was 9-of-18 from with eight rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block.
Nicolas Batum, F1/12/2015 9:56:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers small forward Nicolas Batum is obviously over his sprained right wrist and back to being a multi-category contributor.
Insight: Batum posted 11 points, his first double-digit effort in four games, along with nine rebounds and six assists. The only upsetting part of his game is that even Chris Kaman is getting more shot attempts than Batum. We like it better when he's the fourth option, not the fifth.
Damian Lillard, PG1/12/2015 9:54:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard exploded for 34 points, three rebounds and seven assists Sunday night.
Insight: I guess the questions about his back have been answered. He's fine and a must start.
Damian Lillard, PG1/11/2015 9:35:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard had a rare off night, shooting just 3-of-10 for 16 points.
Insight: Lillard did have five rebounds, five assists and a steal, but also turned it over four times. He appeared to tweak something in his back in the previous game, so fantasy owners should wonder if this result was effected by the injury.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F1/9/2015 9:56:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge posted 24 points and 12 rebounds in a win against Miami Thursday night.
Insight: Aldridge shot 10-of-20 but with all his ballhandling didn't have a single assist. He's had one or zero assists in 12 of 32 games this season. The ball goes into the paint, but it doesn't come out very often.
Chris Kaman, C1/9/2015 9:50:00 AM
Description: Portland center Chris Kaman had his minutes limited in Thursday's win, as we told you he would, based on coach Terry Stotts latest announcement.
Insight: Kaman played 21 minutes scoring 10 points and hauling down nine rebounds. Given a restriction of 12-13 minutes per half at the maximum, this is about what you should expect.
Wesley Matthews, G1/9/2015 9:48:00 AM
Description: Portland shooting guard Wesley Matthews, who is dealing with a left knee injury, didn't seem restricted too much Thursday against Miami.
Insight: Matthews (16.6 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.3 apg) played just under 30 minutes, scoring 18 points with fife assists a couple of rebounds, a steal and a block. Continue to play him as you normally would.
Damian Lillard, PG1/9/2015 9:44:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard returned to earth after a 39-point Wednesday, scoring just 16 in 33 minutesl, Thursday against Miami.
Insight: Lillard appeared to tweak something in his back, so fantasy owners should watch his performance going forward. He's playing at a top-10 level this season averaging 22.1 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 6.3 apg, 1.4 spg so any loss of playing time would be a fantasy disaster.
Chris Kaman, C1/8/2015 2:02:00 PM
Description: Portland center Chris Kaman will have his minutes limited, according to coach Terry Stotts.
Insight: Kaman played 27 minutes on Monday (8 points, 11 rebounds) and Stotts thought he tired in the end and wants him to play around 12-13 minutes per half at the most.
Wesley Matthews, G1/8/2015 1:55:00 PM
Description: Portland shooting guard Wesley Matthews is dealing with a left knee injury and is questionable for Thursday's game against Miami.
Insight: Matthews (16.6 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.3 apg) hurt it in Monday's game but continued to play through it. He didn't have an MRI which is good news, but he was seen wearing a brace. Sounds like a game-time decision.
Meyers Leonard, CHot1/6/2015 10:51:00 AM
Description: Portland center Meyers Leonard played just 18 minutes Monday night, but managed to post a double-double (12 points, 12 rebounds).
Insight: Leonard will play behind Chris Kaman, but if he can produce like this he could have value until Robin Lopez returns. That return is likely a month away.
Chris Kaman, C1/6/2015 10:48:00 AM
Description: Portland center Chris Kaman started Monday night and could continue in the role with Robin Lopez and Joel Freeland sidelined.
Insight: Kaman scored eight points with 11 rebounds, two assists and three blocks. Not a bad return for a low-priced center.
Damian Lillard, PGHot1/6/2015 10:45:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard was everywhere Monday night posting his best numbers in a couple of weeks.
Insight: Lillard posted 39 points with six rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block. he has continued to improve his game and his numbers. He's averaging career highs in points (22.2), rebounds (5.0), steals (1.5) and shooting percentage (.460).
Joel Freeland, F1/4/2015 9:58:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers center Joel Freeland injured his right shoulder Saturday night and is expected to miss at least two weeks.
Insight: Freeland is buried deep on the depth chart and doesn't see enough playing time to be of value to fantasy owners with his 3.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg average, but the Portland rotation will be confusing with Robin Lopez also sidelined by injury. Chris Kaman and Thomas Robinson should see extra playing time.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F12/31/2014 1:37:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge recorded a double-double against the Raptors on Tuesday.
Insight: Aldridge shot 10-of-19 on his way to 23 points and 13 rebounds. In his last six games, Aldridge has scored at least 20 points and nine rebounds in each game.
Damian Lillard, PG12/31/2014 1:34:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard lifted Portland over Toronto in overtime, 102-97, on Tuesday.
Insight: Lillard didn't shoot well, going 9-for-24, including 4-for-15 from the 3-point line, but he lead the team with 26 points. Lillard also set up his teammates as he had nine assists. Lillard is an elite fantasy player, averaging 21.9 ppg and 6.4 apg while shooting 45.8 percent.
Wesley Matthews, G12/27/2014 10:09:00 AM
Description: Portland shooting guard Wesley Matthews went 7-of-14 from three point range against Philadelphia Friday night.
Insight: That's the most he's attempted and made all season. He's averaging 16.4 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 2.2 apg over 31 games.
Damian Lillard, PG12/27/2014 10:06:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard scored 28 points with five rebound and nine assists.
Insight: He had little trouble scoring against the Sixers in this one. We just wish he'd work on that turnover total which was an ugly seven in this blowout win over Philadelphia (114-93). It's at a career-high 2.7 this season.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F12/26/2014 8:49:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge is questionable for Friday's game against the 76ers. UPDATE: Aldridge will not play. Make sure he is out of your lineup.
Insight: Nicolas Batum is questionable as well. With the matchup against Philadelphia, the Trail Blazers are probably leaning towards resting their stars although the 7ers have won two in a row.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F12/23/2014 7:29:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge is active for Tuesday.
Insight: It appears Aldridge will start on Tuesday versus the Thunder, so he should be in every lineup. Even at less than 100 percent, he is a top fantasy-option at power forward.
Robin Lopez, C12/23/2014 2:30:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers center Robin Lopez could miss 6-7 weeks after suffering a broken right hand.
Insight: Lopez tweeted that timetable on Tuesday. He's averaging 9.6 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.2 apg, 1.5 bpg and has low-end fantasy value.

Insight: As long as it doesn't swell up he should be good to go. Batum missed two weeks due to a knee bruise earlier this season.. His numbers are significantly down this season, but if he can get healthy he's capable of being a solid fantasy contributor in multiple categories.
Dorell Wright, F12/7/2014 11:13:00 AM
Description: Portland forward Dorell Wright is probable for Sunday's game against New York due to illness.

Description: Blazers forward Thomas Robinson would likely get the start at PF if LaMarcus Aldridge isn't over his upper respiratory illness by Saturday.

Insight: Batum is dealing with a right knee contusion. His scoring is significantly down from last season. He's averaging just 9.0 ppg after a 13.0 ppg campaign, but he's still rebounding well (7.7) and dishing assists (5.7).
Robin Lopez, C11/9/2014 11:02:00 AM

Insight: Lopez was 7-of-10 from the floor and 5-of-7 from the line for 19 points. He also chipped in seven rebounds, two assists, one block, and two turnovers. Lopez will continue to be a solid option at center, as the season progresses.

Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge posted a double-double in Saturday's loss to the Clippers.
Insight: He had 21 points and 10 rebounds, and although Aldridge was 6-of-6 from the line, he shot a poor 7-of-22 from the field. It was still solid production, but owners would like to see his field goal percentage improve next game.
C.J. McCollum, G11/7/2014 9:55:00 AM
Description: Portland point guard C.J. McCollum came off the bench to score 13 points with a couple of rebounds and three assists.

Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge scored 20 points on 10-of-16 shooting and hauled in seven rebounds.

Damian Lillard, PG11/4/2014 1:15:00 PM
Description: Blazers point guard Damian Lillard is dealing with an abdominal strain, but is probable for Tuesday's game against Cleveland.
Insight: This could explain why he's averaging just 13.7 ppg after posting 20.7 ppg last season. As he gets healthier, his numbers should rebound.
Damian Lillard, PG11/1/2014 9:26:00 AM
Description: Blazers point guard Damian Lillard scored 20 points, but had a lousy shooting night on Friday.
Insight: He was 4-for-13 from the field, and all four buckets were actually 3-pointers, whch owners will like to see. However, while Lillard chipped in seven rebounds, he had only two assists. Expect the assists numbers to go up.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F11/1/2014 9:24:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge scored 22 points, but did not play well in Friday's loss to the Kings.
Insight: He shot only 7-of-18 from the field and had four total rebounds. While Aldridge did have two blocks, he will need to produce much better on the glass, moving forward.
Wesley Matthews, G10/31/2014 1:42:00 PM
Description: Portland shooting guard Wesley Matthews is coming off a fine opening night, shooting 8-of-12 for 22 points, four rebounds and a couple of assists.
Insight: Running mate Damian Lillard had an off shooting night, so Matthews got more worh than usual, but we don't expect him to stay at this level.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F10/27/2014 8:05:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge will play on Wednesday in the season opener against the Thunder.
Insight: Aldridge averaged 23.2 points and 11.1 rebounds per game last season and being that he is in a contract year, he repeat those numbers.
Chris Kaman, C10/20/2014 5:28:00 PM
Description: Portland center Chris Kaman should be left on waivers for the upcoming fantasy baskeball season.
Insight: After averaging 10.4 points per game, 5.9 rebounds per game, and 1.0 blocked shots per game, last season with the Lakers, Kaman will most likely be unable to reach that production in 2014-15. Barring injury, stay away from Kaman.
Damian Lillard, PG10/20/2014 5:22:00 PM
Description: Blazers point guard Damian Lillard should be selectedin the second round of fantasy drafts.
Insight: He averaged 20.7 points per game, 5.6 assists per game andmade 2.7 three-pointers per game, last season. We would like to see his assist numbers go up, but that should not sway owners from taking him early in drafts.
Wesley Matthews, G10/20/2014 5:09:00 PM
Description: Portland shooting guard Wesley Matthews is coming off a fine statistical season.
Insight: He averaged 16.4 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game, 0.9 steals per game, while shooting 44 percent from the field, 39 percent from three, and 84 percent from the line. As a result, owners can take Matthews starting in the early-fifth round.

Batum should be off the board by the end of the second round.
Robin Lopez, C10/20/2014 4:48:00 PM
Description: Blazers center Robin Lopez is a player that owners could forget about on draft day, but shouldn't.
Insight: He is not as sexy of a pick, as his brother Brook is, but Robin is a valauble fantasy player. He averaged 11.1 points per game, 8.5 rebounds per game (Brook averaged 6.0 RPG), and 1.7 blocks per game last season. Lopez enters 2014-15 as Portland's starting center, and fantasy owners can begin to think about drafting him, starting in the seventh round.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F10/20/2014 4:45:00 PM
Description: Portland forward LaMarcus Aldridge will be looking to build off a career-season.
Insight: Last season, Aldridge averaged 23.2 points per game, 11.1 rebounds per game, and shot 82 percent from the free throw line, which were all career-highs. He also has career-averages of 1.0 blocks per game, 0.8 steals per game, and shoots 40 percent from the field. As a result, Aldridge should not fall further than the begining of the second round, and it would not be a poor decision, to take him at the end of the first.
Damian Lillard, PG10/14/2014 5:25:00 PM
Description: Damian Lillard told The Oregonian he felt "fine" after practicing in full on Monday.
Insight: Lillard tested his ankle doing a lot of drills and did not suffer any setbacks. He is probable for Friday's exhibition, but we also wouldn't be surprised if Portland sits him for extra rest.

Description: Blazers point guard Mo Williams will not be available for Wednesday's Game 5 in San Antonio. SOURCE: Jay Allen, Fox Sports Radio 620

Description: Trail Blazers point guard Mo Williams (groin) is doubtful to play in Game 4 of the team's second-round series against the Spurs on Monday.

Nicolas Batum, F5/9/2014 9:28:00 AM
Description: Portland small forward Nic Batum registered 21 points, nine rebounds and two assists Thursday in a loss to San Antonio.

LaMarcus Aldridge, F5/3/2014 9:20:00 AM
Description: LaMarcus Aldridge was outstanding in Friday's win over Houston.
Insight: The Portland forward delivered 30 points, 13 rebounds and two assists. With the exception of Wednesday's Game 5 when the Rockets limited him to just eight points on 3-of-12 shooting, Aldridge had a spectacular series (29.8 ppg, 11.2 rpg in six games) and was probably the best player on the court for either team.
Damian Lillard, PG5/3/2014 9:08:00 AM
Description: Damian Lillard hit the shot of his life Friday in Portland's series-clinching win over Houston.
Insight: With the Trail Blazers down by two and less than a second remaining, Nic Batum inbounded the ball to Lillard (25 points on 8-of-14 shooting) who sunk the game-winner from 25 feet out. Rockets coach Kevin McHale is going to get a lot of heat for this one because Houston still had a foul to give when Lillard put up his shot. It's the first time the Blazers have advanced past the first round since 2000.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F5/2/2014 11:19:00 AM
Description: Portland PF LaMarcus Aldridge was as hot as a firecracker in the first two games of the series, but has cooled off significantly in the last three.
Insight: Aldridge was averaging an obscene 44.5 ppg, 13.0 rpg, 2.5 bpg as Portland took a 2-0 lead in the series, but has averaged 20 ppg and 9.3 over the past three as his team lost two of them.
LaMarcus Aldridge, FHot4/25/2014 10:02:00 AM
Description: Portland PF LaMarcus Aldridge is hotter than any player in the league through the first two games of the series with Houston.
Insight: Aldridge is averaging an obscene 44.5 ppg, 13.0 rpg, 2.5 bpg. It's strange that the Rockets haven't been doubling him much and it they don't start he'll be a must start in every game for the remainder of the series.

Description: Blazers guard Mo Williams won't be available Wednesday against L.A. SOURCE: Casey Holdahl, Blazers.com

Mo Williams, PG4/15/2014 8:33:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Mo Williams might not play in Wednesday's regular season finale. SOURCE: Mike Tokito, The Oregonian
Insight: The Blazers have already locked up the No. 5 seed and have nothing to gain from winning Wednesday night's contest against the Clippers. It might be in Portland's best interest to rest Williams (9.7 ppg, 4.3 apg) and some of the team's other important players with the postseason only a few days away.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F4/15/2014 8:26:00 PM
Description: The Trail Blazers are considering giving LaMarcus Aldridge the night off Wednesday against the Clippers. SOURCE: Mike Tokito, The Oregonian
Insight: Though Portland is only one game behind Houston for the No. 4 seed, the Rockets hold the tiebreaker because they won three out of four against the Blazers during the regular season. That essentially makes Wednesday's game meaningless. Even if Aldridge (23.2 ppg, 11.1 rpg) and the usual starters do play tomorrow night, they'll probably be on a minutes restriction.
Mo Williams, PG4/11/2014 5:40:00 PM
Description: Portland guard Mo Williams (rest) will return to the lineup Friday, according to Joe Freeman of The Oregonian.
Insight: Williams has been playing through knee soreness since mid-March, so his absence Wednesday may have had something to do with that.

Insight: Freeland's absence has freed up a few more minutes for starter Robin Lopez, who is averaging 11.5 ppg and 9.7 rpg over the past 11 games. Meyers Leonard has averaged 9 mpg in Freeland's absence.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F3/9/2014 10:14:00 PM
Description: LaMarcus Aldridge led Portland with 28 points Sunday in a loss at Houston.
Insight: Aldridge didn't shoot the ball particularly well (just 10-of-27) but he still managed to eclipse his season average of 23.6 ppg. He's averaged 29 ppg since his terrible 1-for-13 outing against the Hawks earlier this week.
Nicolas Batum, F3/8/2014 5:01:00 PM
Description: According to trailblazers.com, the report that Nicolas Batum sustained a broken nose Friday against the Mavericks is inaccurate.
Insight: Batum suffered a nasal contusion and is expected to play Sunday against the Rockets.
Nicolas Batum, F3/8/2014 4:41:00 PM
Description: Portland small forward Nic Batum broke his nose during Friday's game, according to csnnw.com's Chris Hayes.
Insight: Portland is seeking a protective covering for Batum's face in advance of Sunday's game against the Rockets, Batum's agent said. He was able to play through the injury Friday but now that the Trail Blazers know his nose is broken they won't put him on the court without a mask.
Damian Lillard, PG3/5/2014 8:57:00 PM
Description: Portland guard Damian Lillard is active for Wednesday's game against Atlanta. SOURCE: Chris Haynes, Comcast Sportsnet Northwest
Insight: Lillard missed practice Tuesday because of a stomach bug but he seems to be feeling much better today. The 23-year-old is averaging 20.1 ppg at home this season.
Thomas Robinson, PF3/5/2014 10:24:00 AM
Description: Blazers forward Thomas Robinson (knee strain) is "still in the process of rehabbing" from a left patella tendon strain, coach Terry Stotts said, according to The Oregonian.
Insight: Robinson received a chance to play more minutes when LaMarcus Aldridge was out of the lineup, but his injury put a stop to that and Aldridge has since returned. Robinson will miss his fourth straight game Wednesday.
Damian Lillard, PG3/4/2014 4:53:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard sat out of Tuesday's practice with a stomach illness, but he is probable to play Wednesday, according to Chris Haynes of csnnw.com.
Insight: Lillard (21.2 ppg, 5.6 apg, 3.6 rpg, 2.8 3pg) hasn't missed a game all season.
Nicolas Batum, F3/2/2014 10:19:00 AM
Description: Portland small forward Nic Batum was all over the glass Saturday in a win over Denver.
Insight: Batum's 16 rebounds were a career-high. Unfortunately, he only shot 3-of-10 from the field for nine points. Batum is one of just six players averaging at least ten points, five rebounds and five assists this season. Michael Carter-Williams, Kevin Durant, Gordon Hayward, LeBron James and Lance Stephenson are the others.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F3/1/2014 9:02:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge is active for Saturday's game against Denver. SOURCE: Erik Gunderson, The Columbian
Insight: A groin injury kept Aldridge sidelined for a week and a half. His return bumps Dorell Wright (4.6 ppg) out of the starting lineup.
Thomas Robinson, PF2/28/2014 5:08:00 PM
Description: Blazers forward Thomas Robinson (knee) didn't practice Friday, according to Chris Haynes of csnnw.com.
Insight: Robinson has a strained left patella tendon and probably won't play Saturday. LaMarcus Aldridge practiced and is looking likely to play Saturday, so even if Robinson can somehow play he won't be a fantasy option.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F2/28/2014 3:40:00 PM
Description: Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge (groin) made it through a full practice on Friday without incident and could be ready to go on Saturday.
Insight: Aldridge has missed five straight games with a groin injury, but that could come to an end if he is ok through the morning shootaround. Fantasy owners have not had any Blazer options that posted anything close to Aldridge's 23.9 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 2.8 apg. Damian Lillard was a fantasy monster with Aldridge out of the lineup.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F2/26/2014 8:31:00 PM
Description: Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge (groin) will miss Wednesday's game against the Nets, according to Joe Freeman of the Oregonian.
Insight: Aldridge will miss his fifth straight game with a groin injury. With Aldridge, Thomas Robinson, Joel Freeland and Meyers Leonard out, the Blazers will be extremely thin up front and will need Robin Lopez to continue to hold down the fort.
Thomas Robinson, PF2/26/2014 8:28:00 PM
Description: Blazers forward Thomas Robinson will not play Wednesday due to a left patella tendon strain, according to Joe Freeman of the Oregonian.
Insight: Robinson's X-rays and MRI results both were negative. The injury comes at a terrible time for the 22-year-old Robinson, as he has finally been getting a chance to play with LaMarcus Aldridge, Joel Freeland and Meyers Leonard out. We should see plenty of Robin Lopez, who has averaged 11.8 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks his last eight games, again on Wednesday, and Dorell Wright also will get some extra playing time.
Thomas Robinson, PF2/26/2014 9:34:00 AM
Description: Blazers forward Thomas Robinson injured his knee Tuesday night against Denver. He left after playing just 14 minutes.
Insight: Robinson tried to play through the ailment for a little while but he just didn't look like himself (two points on 1-of-5 shooting). Don't count on him to play Wednesday against the Nets.
Damian Lillard, PGHot2/26/2014 9:27:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard would not be denied Tuesday in a 100-95 victory over Denver.
Insight: With LaMarcus Aldridge sidelined, Lillard (31 points, seven rebounds, nine assists) has been forced to play a much bigger role on offense for Portland. Over his last four games, the 23-year-old has averaged 30.5 ppg on 50 percent shooting. He's spread out 27 assists during that same span (6.8 apg).
LaMarcus Aldridge, F2/25/2014 8:39:00 PM
Description: Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge is still out with a groin injury. SOURCE: The Oregonian
Insight: He won't suit up Tuesday versus Denver although Aldridge (23.9 ppg, 11.4 rpg) was seen taking shots before the game. It's 50/50 whether he plays Wednesday against the Nets.
Thomas Robinson, PF2/25/2014 8:38:00 PM
Description: Portland power forward Thomas Robinson is coming off a 14-point, 18-rebound, two-block game Sunday and probably will play a big role again Tuesday with LaMarcus Aldridge (groin) still sidelined.
Insight: Aldridge, Joel Freeland and Meyers Leonard are all out, leaving more minutes for Robinson, Victor Claver, Dorell Wright and Mo Williams. Robinson, the 2012 No. 5 overall pick, played a career-high 33 minutes Sunday and had his first double-double of the season.

Nicolas Batum, F2/21/2014 8:32:00 PM
Description: Blazers forward Nicolas Batum is active for Friday's game against Utah. Batum sat out practice Thursday because of flu-like symptoms. SOURCE: Casey Holdahl, Blazers.com
Insight: Batum hasn't missed a game yet this season. The Trail Blazers still don't have a viable option behind Batum (12.8 ppg, 5.4 apg, 6.4 rpg) at small forward so he should see plenty of minutes on Friday.
Nicolas Batum, F2/21/2014 3:40:00 PM
Description: Portland small forward Nicolas Batum missed Thursday's practice and is questionable for Friday's game against San Antonio due to illness.
Insight: The Blazers don't have a reliable backup at small forward so Batum when Batum is out and will LaMarcus Aldridge already sidelined, Damian Lillard and Weslwy Matthews should have huge nights.
Thomas Robinson, PF2/18/2014 10:26:00 PM
Description: With LaMarcus Aldridge (groin), Meyers Leonard (ankle) and Joel Freeland (knee) all out, Thomas Robinson is about to have his role expanded.
Insight: Aldridge will miss at least a week with a groin strain, Leonard will sit out 2-3 weeks with an ankle sprain and Freeland is out until mid-March with a sprained MCL. Robinson was the No. 5 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft but he is already with his third NBA franchise and has averaged just 11 minutes, 4.2 points and 3.7 rebounds this season. C.J. McCollum, Dorell Wright and Mo Williams also will have to play more.

Insight: Aldridge (23.9 ppg, 11.4 rpg) has been banged up for a while but hasn't missed a game yet this season. He'll sit out his first on Wednesday. The All-Star will be re-evaluated in a week.
Meyers Leonard, C2/18/2014 10:15:00 PM
Description: Portland center Meyers Leonard sprained his ankle at Tuesday's practice. He's expected to miss 2-to-3 weeks. SOURCE: Joe Freeman, The Oregonian
Insight: Leonard has only seen the court 21 times this season. When he has played, he's averaged 9.1 mpg. That should tell you all you need to know about Leonard. Keep looking, fantasy owners.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F2/18/2014 5:55:00 PM
Description: Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge (groin) missed Tuesday's practice to have his injury reevaluated, according to Joe Freeman of The Oregonian.
Insight: Portland coach Terry Stotts refused to label Aldridge's status for Wednesday's game, so we'll call him questionable. Aldridge (23.9 ppg, 11.4 rpg) has played every game this season, but he has been banged up for a while.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F2/12/2014 10:16:00 AM
Description: Despite a shaky outing Tuesday against OKC, Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge expects to suit up Wednesday versus the Clippers. SOURCE: Joe Freeman, The Oregonian
Insight: He's really beat up right now but the magnitude of tonight's game is just too much for Aldridge to pass up. It's fine to start Aldridge but fantasy owners shouldn't expect him to put up his usual 24 ppg.
Joel Freeland, F2/12/2014 9:37:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers center Joel Freeland sprained his right MCL Tuesday in a loss to Oklahoma City. SOURCE: Chris Haynes, Comcast Sportsnet Northwest
Insight: The injury will sideline Freeland for the next 4-to-8 weeks. Freeland's absence will free up more minutes for starter Robin Lopez (10.7 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 1.6 bpg) at the five.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F2/12/2014 9:32:00 AM
Description: Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge didn't look like himself Tuesday against Oklahoma City.
Insight: Aldridge (12 points on 5-for-22 shooting) almost sat out because of soreness and it was clear he was operating at less than 100 percent throughout the game. It might be in the Blazers' best interest to rest their beat-up star Wednesday against the Clippers.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F2/11/2014 9:29:00 PM
Description: Updating an earlier report, Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge will start tonight's game against Oklahoma City. SOURCE: Erik Gundersen, The Columbian
Insight: Aldridge was questionable coming into this game because of general soreness. The iron man should be good for his usual 20 points and 11 boards Tuesday versus the Thunder.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F2/11/2014 9:13:00 PM
Description: LaMarcus Aldridge's status is still up in the air for Tuesday's game against OKC. SOURCE: Joe Freeman, The Oregonian
Insight: Aldridge has been dealing with general soreness. He hasn't missed a game yet this season and we'd be surprised if Aldridge (24.1 ppg, 11.5 rpg) doesn't suit up tonight against Portland's division rival.
Mo Williams, PG2/11/2014 8:37:00 PM
Description: Trail Blazers point guard Mo Williams expects to return Wednesday versus the Clippers. SOURCE: Erik Gundersen, The Columbian
Insight: Williams left the team last week to be with his ailing sister. He's been an excellent sixth man for Portland this year, averaging 9.1 ppg and 4.6 apg.
Damian Lillard, PG2/7/2014 10:10:00 PM
Description: Blazers guard Damian Lilliard bounced back from a lackluster effort Wednesday in New York (12 points on 4-of-12 shooting) by having a monster game Friday against the Pacers.
Insight: Lilliard generated 38 points on 15-for-26 shooting. He also produced a game-high 11 assists. Next week, the second-year guard out of Weber State will become the first player to compete in all five events at All-Star weekend (Rising Stars Game, Skills Challenge, Three-Point Shootout, Dunk Contest and the All-Star Game).
Mo Williams, PG2/7/2014 11:52:00 AM
Description: Portland guard Mo Williams has left the team to be with his seriously ill sister.
Insight: Williams has been a solid bench player for the Blazers (9.1 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 4.6 apg), but his fantasy value is minimal barring an injury to Damian Lillard.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F2/2/2014 10:13:00 AM
Description: Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge's stat line Saturday versus the Raptors was eerily similar to the one he posted earlier this week in a loss to Memphis.
Insight: Aldridge racked up 27 points and 15 boards Saturday compared to 27 and 16 Tuesday versus the Grizzlies. The 28-year-old's remarkable consistency is a big reason why he's headed to his third All-Star Game in as many seasons.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F1/29/2014 10:04:00 AM
Description: Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge bounced back from an off shooting night by scoring 27 points Tuesday in a loss to Memphis.
