Johansen's SO goal sends Blue Jackets to sixth straight win
Buffalo, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Ryan Johansen tallied the lone goal in the shootout as the Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Buffalo Sabres, 4-3, at First Niagara Center.
After each shooter failed to light the lamp, Johansen skated in on goal and opened up Ryan Miller with several backhand-to-forehand moves and wristed a shot up top to win the game.
Brandon Dubinsky had a power-play goal and an assist, while David Savard and Matt Calvert contributed the other two goals. Sergei Bobrovsky made 26 saves and stopped all three shooters in the shootout in Columbus' sixth straight win.
Tyler Myers led the Sabres with two goals, including the power-play tally that tied the game with 25 seconds left in regulation. Drew Stafford notched Buffalo's other goal and Tyler Ennis supplied two assists.
Miller made 32 saves in Buffalo's third consecutive loss.
