11/17/2014 5:15:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball (groin) will be out 2-to-3 weeks.
Insight: He injured his groin on Sunday, and now C.J. Anderson is the clear lead dog, with Ronnie Hillman also sidelined. Juwan Thompson will also be in the mix.

11/16/2014 11:52:00 AM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball (groin) is active for Week 11.
Insight: It is anybody's guess who will lead Denver in carries this week, but we will give C.J Anderson the edge heading into Week 11. However, expect the Broncos to use the "hot hand" approach, with Anderson, Ball, and Juwan Thompson all being mixed in.

11/14/2014 4:45:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball (groin) is listed as probable for Week 11 versus St. Louis.
Insight: It is anybody's guess who will lead Denver in carries this week, but we will give C.J Anderson the edge heading into Week 11. However, expect the Broncos to use the "hot hand" approach, with Anderson, Ball, and Juwan Thompson all being mixed in.

11/10/2014 6:54:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball is expected back in Week 11 against the Rams according to the Denver Post.
Insight: This comes at an excellet time for fantasy owners who have Ball and his handcuff, Ronnie Hillman. Hillman suffered a foot sprain in Week 10 and will miss two-to-three weeks. C.J. Anderson had a huge game on Sunday, so he will likely lead the way with touches, but Ball should be invovled.

11/9/2014 2:58:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball is not active for Week 10.
Insight: Ball got some practices in this week, so that is a positive sign, but fantasy owners will have to wait until Week 11. Even then he'll be the backup to Ronnie Hillman.

11/7/2014 5:18:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball is listed as questionable for Week 10 after he practiced in limited fashion on Friday.
Insight: Ball got some practices in this week, so that is a positive sign, but fantasy owners should prepare for Ball to sit out one more game and return in Week 11. Even when he returns, everyone expects Ball to share time in the backfield with Ronnie Hillman.

11/5/2014 1:30:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball (groin) returned to practice on Wednesday.
Insight: Even is Ball is able to play, he will most likely be no more than a change-of-pace back. Ronnie Hillman is still locked in as a borderline RB1 moving forward.

11/1/2014 9:52:00 AM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball (groin) has been declared out against the Patriots, for Week 9.
Insight: He may return to pracice next week, but with the way Ronnie Hillman is running, Ball does not hold much value at this moment.

10/18/2014 12:15:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball (groin) may not retain his role as the featured back upon his return, according to The Denver Post's Mike Klis.
Insight: He has not played well during the time he has been healthy, and now with Ronnie Hillman running well, it is looking likely that Denver will employ a committee approach. If that is the case, Ball will be a player dependent on scoring touchdowns. Owners should hang onto Ball, and expect him to return Week 9 at the earliest, but may be disappointed in his production for the rest of the season.

10/12/2014 11:40:00 AM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball (groin) is officially inactive versus the Jets.
Insight: This is no surprise, as Ball is expected to miss a few weeks with the groin injury. Ronnie Hillman will start in his place, and will have a ton of upside.

10/6/2014 6:34:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball is going to miss two-to-three weeks with a groin injury according to the Denver Post.
Insight: Originally, the Broncos expected Ball to be out for awhile, so this is actually positive news. It is likely fantasy owners wouldn't use Ball much over the next couple weeks anyway because Denver has tough matchups the next two weeks against the Jets and 49ers run defense. Ball will get to rest and hopefully be effective for the fantasy stretch-run, which is a much more favorable schedule. In the meatime, Ball owners must pick up Ronnie Hillman.

10/6/2014 9:37:00 AM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball exited the Week 5 game against the Cardinals with a groin injury and a Denver Post report says "he'll be out for a while."
Insight: Ronnie Hillman is likely to see a majority of the work, but C.J. Anderson and Juwan Thompson might also participate.

10/5/2014 6:30:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball exited the Week 5 game against the Cardinals with a groin injury.
Insight: His return is questionable. Ronnie Hillman has come in and made a couple of nice runs, so the Broncos might play it conservatively with Ball.

9/16/2014 2:04:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball has 25 touches in Week 1, but only 15 last Sunday.
Insight: Ball totaled 89 yards from scrimmage, which is certainly respectable, but didn't get into the end zone. We need him to be more like Knowshon Moreno was last season to validate his high fantasy selection.

9/12/2014 2:54:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball has 25 touches in Week 1 which should make his fantasy owners smile.
Insight: Ball didn't havce a great day, but 83 totals yards and a touchdown is solid work. Backup C.J. Anderson saw just four rushes and Ronnie Hillman was inactive. Peyton Manning's running backs are always a good value and Ball should continue to produce double-digits every weekend.

8/23/2014 1:18:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball (appendectomy) will make his preseason debut Saturday.
Insight: Ball made a quick recovery from an appendectomy and he's ready for action. Big things are expected of him after less-talented Knowshon Moreno was a fantasy star in this offense a year ago.

8/19/2014 2:01:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball (appendectomy) returned to practice Tuesday.
Insight: The Broncos had a non-contact practice on Tuesday, so it was just individual drills. It is still a step in the right direction for Ball. The running back should still be ready for Week 1, but don't plan on seeomg how he looks in the third preseason game.

8/18/2014 11:43:00 AM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball (appendectomy) is hoping the doctors will give his clearance to return to practice Monday, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.
Insight: He's still expected to be ready for Week 1 and it's obviously not a long-term injury concern. Much is expected of Ball, who will take over for Knowshon Moreno in the Peyton Manning-led Denver offense. Manning's backs have always had a good production history due to defenses fearing the quarterback's passing ability.

8/4/2014 7:52:00 PM
Description: Broncos running back Montee Ball may miss the preseason after undergoing an appendectomy on Monday.
Insight: He's expected to be ready for Week 1 and it's not a long-term injury concern, but we'd like Ball to get as many reps as possible with the first-team offense in game action. He's going seventh among running backs in fantasyfootballcalculator.com mock drafts at an ADP of 10.3.
