Jayson Werth, RF, WAS7/29/2014 11:26:00 AM
Description: Nationals right fielder Jayson Werth left Monday\'s game in the seventh inning with a twisted ankle, but is expected to be back in the lineup Tuesday. Insight: Manager Matt Williams expected Werth to be fine Tuesday. The outfielder suffered the injury while trying to avoid a tag at second base. He\'s batting .284 with 12 HR, 58 RBI and 60 runs scored.
Gerrit Cole, SP, PIT7/29/2014 11:23:00 AM
Description: Pittsburgh right-hander Gerrit Cole (right lat soreness) threw five scoreless inning in his first rehab start Monday. Insight: More importantly, he appears to have come out of it healthy. Cole has been on the disabled list twice since June 3, first with shoulder fatigue and lat strain. He should make another start or two in the minors before returning to the bigs.

Mohamed Sanu, WR, CIN7/29/2014 11:48:00 AM
Description: Bengals receiver Mohamed Sanu will likely play multi positions this season, according to a bengals.com report. Insight: Sanu will mostly play at wide receiver, but will get some work out of the backfield and possible throw a pass or two this season. He\'s still not likely to be fantasy worthy.
Aaron Dobson, WR, NEP7/29/2014 11:44:00 AM
Description: Patriots receiver Aaron Dobson had more serious surgery than though back in March which explains his slow recovery, according to Pats beat reporter Jeff Howe. Insight: Dobson had surgery on his foot this offseason and was expected to be back for minicamp, but he\'s taken much longer than expected because he had a permanent screw inserted in the foot.

Manu Ginobili, SG, SAN7/29/2014 12:06:00 PM
Description: Spurs guard Manu Ginobili (stress fracture in his right leg) has apparently not been granted permission by the Spurs to play in the FIBA World Cup of Basketball. Insight: Ginobili wanted to play for his country in the World Cup, but only if healthy. After a long and successful playoff run, it\'s not surprising that the team wanted the 37-year-old to rest as much as possible in the offseason.
 Blake Griffin, F, LAC7/29/2014 12:01:00 PM
Description: Los Angeles power forward Blake Griffin will not play for Team USA so that he can rest from a small fracture in his back, according to a FOXSports report. Insight: The injury isn\'t considered serious, but we will stay concerned until we see Griffin (24.1 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 3.9 apg, 1.2 spg) running the floor at training camp.

Tyler Ennis, LW, BUF7/17/2014 3:34:00 PM
Description: The Sabres have signed Tyler Ennis to a multiyear contract extension. Insight: The 24-year-old had a career-high 21 goals and added 22 assists and 210 SOG over 80 games in 2013-14. The talent is lacking in Buffalo so he likely won\'t be much better than that in 2014-15.
 Jonathan Toews, C, CHI7/9/2014 1:26:00 PM
Description: The Blackhawks have signed Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane to matching eight-year, $84 million extensions. Insight: Toews is one of the top two-way players in the NHL. He had 68 points (28 goals) in 76 regular season games and 17 points (nine goals) in 19 postseason games this past season.
