Description: Wizards power forward Nene (knee) is probable for Monday's game against Miami.
Insight: Nene played two games then sat out Saturday's contest. He may have tweaked his knee in Friday's game and sat as a precaution.

Nene , PF/C4/9/2014 5:50:00 PM
Description: Wizards power forward Nene (knee) will return Wednesday, the team announced.
Insight: Nene missed the last 21 games with a sprained MCL. He'll play limited minutes at first but his return will eliminate whatever fantasy value Trevor Booker and Drew Gooden had.
Trevor Ariza, SF4/9/2014 4:50:00 PM
Description: Wizards swingman Trevor Ariza (flu) will play Wednesday, according to J. Michael of csnwashington.com.
Insight: Ariza has been playing with the flu and made just 4-of-18 from the field on Friday and Saturday. He's feeling better and is good to go Wednesday aganst the Bobcats.
Nene , PF/C4/5/2014 1:23:00 PM
Description: Wizards power forward Nene, diagnosed with a sprained MCL, could return on Wednesday, according to a csnwashington report.
Insight: The injury was supposed to keep Nene (14.2 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.0 apg) out for 4-to-6 weeks so this is in line with his original timeframe. His playing time could be limited until the postseason.
Bradley Beal, SG4/2/2014 9:56:00 PM
Description: Washington guard Bradley Beal hit 7-of-8 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul-line Wednesday against Boston.
Insight: Beal had 19 points, two rebounds and two assists in the game. He appears to be over the hip pointer he dealt with near the end of March and has shot 15-of-20 the last two games after hitting 36-of-111 (.324) his previous seven games.
Bradley Beal, SG3/31/2014 10:24:00 PM
Description: Washington guard Bradley Beal made 8-of-12 from the floor and scored 20 points Monday at Charlotte.
Insight: Beal has been dealing with a hip pointer and shot just 36-of-111 (.324) his previous seven games.
Trevor Ariza, SF3/31/2014 5:51:00 PM
Description: According to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer, Wizards coach Randy Wittman said Trevor Ariza (groin) will play Monday against the Bobcats.
Insight: Ariza tweaked his groin Saturday against the Hawks. The small forward has been a tremendous fantasy option, providing 14.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.4 threes and 1.7 steals in 68 games.
Trevor Ariza, SF3/30/2014 3:26:00 PM
Description: Trevor Ariza may not play Monday after injuring his groin Saturday in a win over Atlanta. SOURCE: Washington Post
Insight: Ariza has been pretty durable, only sitting out five of the Wizards' 73 contests this season. His 14.8 ppg scoring average is his highest since 2009-10 (14.9 ppg in 72 games for the Rockets).
John Wall, G3/30/2014 9:54:00 AM
Description: Wizards guard John Wall delivered a robust stat line Saturday in a win over Atlanta.
Insight: He shot 10-of-20 from the field for 25 points to go along with seven rebounds, six dimes and three steals. Washington trails Brooklyn by one game for the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference. Only two of the Wizards' final nine games are against teams with a winning record.
Bradley Beal, SGCold3/28/2014 9:34:00 PM
Description: Washington guard Bradley Beal has shot just 5-of-24 (.208) and averaged 7.5 ppg his last two games.
Insight: Beal suffered a hip pointer during Wednesday's game and it may be affecting his shooting. Facing a top-notch defensive ballclub in the Indiana Pacers Friday night also may have had something to do with it. The Wizards play again Saturday against the Hawks.
Bradley Beal, SG3/28/2014 6:39:00 PM
Description: Washington guard Bradley Beal (hip pointer) will start Friday, according to J. Michael of csnwashington.com.
Insight: Beal left Wednesday's game against Phoenix but returned and played 33 minutes. He'll try to bounce back from a 3-of-11 shooting performance Friday against the Pacers.
Marcin Gortat, C3/27/2014 5:26:00 PM
Description: Wizards center Marcin Gortat will have a precautionary MRI on his back, according to Michael Lee of the Washington Post.
Insight: Gortat missed a game last week but made a quick recovery after receiving treatment from a specialist in Chinese medicine orthopedics. The MRI is more of a follow-up on last week than something to be concerned about.
Bradley Beal, SG3/26/2014 9:35:00 PM
Description: Washington guard Bradley Beal was able to return to Wednesday night's game against Phoenix. He came out late in the first half after suffering a hip injury.
Insight: Unfortunately he didn't have a very good game, finishing with just eight points on 3-of-11 shooting. The Wizards have now lost four of their last five and would need a great finish to get home court advantage for the first round of the playoffs.
Bradley Beal, SG3/26/2014 8:09:00 PM
Description: Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal left Wednesday night's game with a hip pointer. His return is questionable. SOURCE: J. Michael, Comcast Sportsnet Washington
Insight: He had eight points in 18 minutes before exiting. Martell Webster (10.2 ppg) stands to see more minutes with Beal sidelined.
Trevor Ariza, F3/26/2014 3:26:00 PM
Description: Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza (Achilles) should be able to play Wednesday against the Suns, according to Michael Lee of the Washington Post. Ariza went through morning shootaround without an issue.
Insight: Lee reported Tuesday that Ariza (14.9 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 2.6 apg, 2.5 3pg, 1.8 spg) developed tendinitis in his right Achilles. If he ends up having to miss time, Martell Webster would inherit roughly 10-12 minutes in addition to the 26.4 he has averaged off the bench this season.
Nene , PF/C3/24/2014 4:17:00 PM
Description: Wizards power forward Nene, diagnosed with a sprained MCL, could be ready by the first week in April, according to a Yahoo report.
Insight: The injury was scheduled to keep Nene (14.2 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.0 apg) out 4-to-6 weeks so this is in line with the original timeframe.
Marcin Gortat, C3/23/2014 9:02:00 PM
Description: Wizards center Marcin Gortat had a productive evening Sunday against Denver.
Insight: Gortat finished with 16 points, ten rebounds, five assists and two blocked shots. Since shooting 1-for-8 against Brooklyn last Saturday, Gortat has averaged 16 ppg on 52.8 percent shooting (19-for-36).
Marcin Gortat, C3/21/2014 10:20:00 AM
Description: Washington center Marcin Gortat hurt his back during pre-game warmups forcing him to watch Thursday's game and he's doubtful for Friday.
Insight: Given that the Washington Post reported he was having trouble putting on his shirt and shoes, he probably needs a couple days off. Gortat has been a solid performaer this season, averaging 12.8 ppg and 9.3 rpg, both totals higher than in his final season with Phoenix.
Marcin Gortat, C3/20/2014 9:50:00 PM
Description: Washington center Marcin Gortat won't be on the floor Thursday against Portland. SOURCE: Casey Holdahl, Blazers.com
Insight: He hurt his back during pre-game warmups. That opens the door for Drew Gooden to make his first start of the season. The veteran has averaged 19.5 ppg on 71.4 percent shooting over his last two contests.
Drew Gooden, C3/19/2014 9:28:00 AM
Description: Wizards power forward Drew Gooden has averaged 27 minutes, 19.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 threes and 1.0 steals his last two games.
Insight: Gooden has scored in double figures in five of his last seven games and has been a pleasant surprise for the Wizards after signing a contract in late February. Washington is his 10th NBA franchise since he entered the league in 2002.
John Wall, G3/15/2014 9:29:00 PM
Description: Washington point guard John Wall poured in 33 points Saturday in a win over Brooklyn.
Insight: Wall was 4-of-6 from three-point land for the second game in a row. He's followed up a brutal three-game stretch (10.0 ppg on 35.1 percent shooting) by putting together three straight excellent outings (25.7 ppg on 51.9 percent shooting). Wall and the Wizards won't be in action again until Tuesday.
Martell Webster, SG3/15/2014 6:22:00 PM
Description: Wizards sixth man Martell Webster is good to go Saturday against Brooklyn. SOURCE: Stefan Bondy, Newsday
Insight: Back issues have had Webster (10.5 ppg) in and out of the lineup all month. He scored 13 points on 3-of-6 shooting the last time these teams met on December 18th.
Bradley Beal, SG3/15/2014 6:18:00 PM
Description: Washington guard Bradley Beal will be available Saturday against Brooklyn. SOURCE: Rod Boone, Newsday
Insight: That's surprising after Beal (17.1 ppg) suffered what looked to be a pretty bad ankle sprain Friday versus Orlando. It doesn't sound like he's going to be on a minutes limit either. Fantasy owners shouldn't hesitate to start him.
Bradley Beal, SG3/15/2014 9:47:00 AM
Description: Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal was carried off the court Friday night with a right ankle sprain and is doubtful for Saturday's game against Brooklyn.
Insight: X-rays came back negative, but Beal still needs an MRI to see if there's any major structural damage. The injury comes at a terrible time for the 20-year-old gunner, as he has averaged 20.3 points and 2.5 threes per game over his last six.
Bradley Beal, SGHot3/14/2014 10:02:00 PM
Description: Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal was carried off the court Friday night with a right ankle sprain, according to J. Michael of csnwashington.com.
Insight: X-rays came back negative, but Beal still needs an MRI to see if there's any major structural damage. The injury comes at a terrible time for the 20-year-old gunner, as he has averaged 20.3 points and 2.5 threes per game over his last six.
Marcin Gortat, CHot3/14/2014 9:58:00 PM
Description: Wizards center Marcin Gortat had his third straight double-double Friday at Orlando, putting up 19 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 44 minutes.
Insight: Gortat has picked up the slack with Nene out of the lineup due to a knee injury. Over his last 13 games, the center has averaged 16.5 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting nearly 58 percent from the field.
Trevor Ariza, F3/14/2014 9:53:00 PM
Description: Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza bounced back from two straight single-digit scoring games with 21 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, four threes and one steal in 44 minutes Friday at Orlando.
Insight: Ariza only shot 6-of-16 Friday and has made just 11-of-36 his last three games, but he's still averaging over 20 ppg in March.
Bradley Beal, SGHot3/12/2014 9:44:00 PM
Description: Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal has scored 18+ points in five straight games.
Insight: Beal made 13-of-28 (.464) from 3-point range in that span. He had 18 points, three rebounds, two threes and a steal in 37 minutes Wednesday against Charlotte.
Kevin Seraphin, C3/12/2014 6:21:00 PM
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) will play Wednesday, according to the Wizards on Twitter.
Insight: Seraphin missed the last seven games. With Nene out with a knee injury until next month, Seraphin will split time at power forward and backup center with Trevor Booker and Drew Gooden, limiting the fantasy value of all three.
Kevin Seraphin, C3/11/2014 5:25:00 PM
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) is expected to return to action Wednesday, according to J. Michael of csnwashington.com.
Insight: Seraphin was a full participant in Tuesday's practice after missing the last seven games. With Nene out with a knee injury until next month, Seraphin will split time at power forward and backup center with Trevor Booker and Drew Gooden.
Marcin Gortat, C3/10/2014 10:31:00 PM
Description: Washington center Marcin Gortat, who recently made headlines for advocating fighting in the NBA (though it sounds like he was joking), was outstanding Monday in a loss to Miami.
Insight: Gortat finished with 14 points, 18 rebounds, four assists and zero penalty minutes. He's averaging 14 ppg on 60.4 percent shooting for the month of March.
Martell Webster, SG3/8/2014 8:43:00 PM
Description: Washington G/F Martell Webster will play Saturday after missing the last two games due to back spams.
Insight: Webster averaged 32.9 minutes, 13.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.4 threes, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals over his first 22 games, but has generated just 9.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.8 treys, 1.0 assists and 0.4 steals in 26.4 minutes per game his last 35.
Kevin Seraphin, C3/8/2014 8:09:00 PM
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) will not play Saturday, according to the Wizards on Twitter.
Insight: Seraphin will miss his sixth straight game. Trevor Booker has been starting, but his playing time was cut down Wednesday to give more minutes to Drew Gooden, who had 12 points and three rebounds in 19 minutes.
Martell Webster, SG3/8/2014 11:58:00 AM
Description: Washington G/F Martell Webster wasn't active for Wednesday's game against the Jazz, but is listed as probable for Saturday.
Insight: He missed two games because of back spasms, but practiced Friday. Webster is too inconsistent to be counted on by fantasy owners.
Trevor Ariza, FHot3/8/2014 9:22:00 AM
Description: Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza had another huge game Saturday at Milwaukee with 28 points, seven rebounds and five threes.
Insight: Ariza has had the benefit of playing three of the NBA's worst teams -- Philadelphia, Utah and Milwaukee -- in Washington's four games this month and has averaged 27.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.3 triples, 2.3 assists and 1.5 steals.
Trevor Ariza, FHot3/5/2014 9:56:00 PM
Description: Trevor Ariza dropped 26 points on Utah Wednesday in a 104-91 Wizards victory.
Insight: Ariza has been lighting it up lately. Over his last five games, the former UCLA Bruin has averaged 23.8 ppg on 60.3 percent shooting. He's been lethal from downtown, connecting on 23 of his last 34 three-point attempts (67.5 percent). Make sure Ariza is in your lineup Saturday against Milwaukee.
Martell Webster, SG3/5/2014 7:20:00 PM
Description: Washington G/F Martell Webster wasn't active for Wednesday's game against the Jazz. SOURCE: Jonathan Rinehart, Jazz PR
Insight: He's now missed two games because of back spasms. Look for Otto Porter (1.7 ppg) and Chris Singleton (4.1 ppg) to fill in at small forward.
Martell Webster, SG3/5/2014 12:52:00 PM
Description: Wizards sixth man Martell Webster (back) missed shootaround Wednesday morning and probably won't play, according to J. Michael of csnwashington.com.
Insight: Webster went through non-contact drills Tuesday after missing Monday's game due to back spasms. He was a terrific fantasy option when Bradley Beal was out of the lineup, but he has averaged 26.4 mpg, 9.0 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 1.8 3pg his last 35 games. Washington's starters all saw extra minutes on Monday with Webster out.
Martell Webster, SG3/4/2014 4:57:00 PM
Description: Wizards sixth man Martell Webster (back) went through non-contact drills and put up shots after practice Tuesday, according to J. Michael of csnwashington.com.
Insight: Webster was a terrific fantasy option when Bradley Beal was out of the lineup, but he has averaged 26.4 mpg, 9.0 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 1.8 3pg his last 35 games. He has a chance to play Wednesday.
Kevin Seraphin, C3/4/2014 4:55:00 PM
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) already has been ruled out for Wednesday's game, according to J. Michael of csnwashington.com. He did participate in a limited practice Tuesday, however.
Insight: Seraphin is missing out on a chance to play big minutes with Nene sidelined for six weeks. Trevor Booker (33 mpg, 14.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.5 bpg last two games) will continue to take advantage of the situation.
Trevor Booker, F3/3/2014 10:14:00 PM
Description: Wizards power forward Trevor Booker had 15 points, seven rebounds and one block Monday against Memphis.
Insight: Booker played 37 minutes Monday after putting up 14 points, seven boards and two blocks in 29 minutes Saturday. He should continue to get a large chunk of minutes with Nene and Kevin Seraphin sidelined.
Martell Webster, SG3/3/2014 6:59:00 PM
Description: Wizards sixth man Martell Webster has a sore back and will miss Monday's game, according to Michael Lee of the Washington Post.
Insight: Webster was a terrific fantasy option when Bradley Beal was out of the lineup, but he has averaged 26.4 mpg, 9.0 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 1.8 3pg his last 35 games. Andre Miller, Al Harrington and Chris Singleton will absorb Webster's minutes.
Kevin Seraphin, C3/3/2014 6:25:00 PM
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) will miss his fourth consecutive game Monday against the Grizzlies, according to the Wizards on Twitter.
Insight: Seraphin is missing out on a chance to play big minutes with Nene sidelined for six weeks. Trevor Booker took full advantage of Seraphin's and Nene's absence and posted 14 points and seven rebounds against Philadelphia on Saturday. He'll have a tougher time Monday against Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol.
Trevor Booker, F3/3/2014 12:01:00 PM
Description: Wizards power forward Trevor Booker may get another 30 minutes of playing time if Kevin Seraphin joins Nene on the sidelines for Monday's contest with Memphis.
Insight: Booker played 29 minutes on Saturday against the Sixers and amassed 14 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a pair of blocks.
Kevin Seraphin, C3/3/2014 11:59:00 AM
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) has missed three consecutive games and is questionable for Monday's game against Memphis.
Insight: Trevor Booker took full advantage of his and Nene's absence and posted 14 points and seven rebounds against Philadelphia on Saturday. He should be solid again on Monday if he doesn't have to share time with Seraphin.
John Wall, G3/1/2014 10:35:00 PM
Description: Washington guard John Wall matched a career-high with 16 assists Saturday against the Sixers.
Insight: Most of them went to Trevor Ariza, who finished with 40 points. Even though he only played 29 minutes (his fewest since December 2nd), Wall still managed 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting. The Wizards are now just a game and a half out of third place in the Eastern Conference.
Trevor Ariza, FHot3/1/2014 10:25:00 PM
Description: Washington forward Trevor Ariza exploded for a career-high 40 points Saturday in a win over Philadelphia.
Insight: Ariza got off to a phenomenal start with 24 points on 9-of-10 shooting in the first quarter (6-for-6 on three-pointers). Though he only had 16 points the rest of the way, that's still higher than his season average (14.8 ppg). The ten-year veteran has averaged 19.3 ppg during the Wizards' six-game winning streak.
Kevin Seraphin, C3/1/2014 1:50:00 PM
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) missed Thursday's game and is now listed as out for Saturday's game against Philadelphia.
Insight: Trevor Booker should be the big beneficiary with Nene sidelined for 4-6 weeks as well, but played just 21 minutes on Thursday night. Chris Singleton actually saw more minutes (25) and put up 13 points and nine rebounds.
Kevin Seraphin, C3/1/2014 12:04:00 PM
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) missed Thursday's game and is questionable for Saturday's game against Philadelphia.
Insight: Trevor Booker should be the big beneficiary if Seraphin can't go and with Nene sidelined for 4-6 weeks as well, but played just 21 minutes on Thursday night. Chris Singleton actually saw more minutes (25) and put up 13 points and nine rebounds.
Marcin Gortat, CHot2/27/2014 10:58:00 PM
Description: Wizards center Marcin Gortat set a new career high with 31 points Thursday, and grabbed 12 rebounds to extend his double-double streak to six games.
Insight: Gortat had 51 minutes to do his damage, as the game went to triple overtime. He has averaged 18.8 points, 11.3 boards and 1.2 blocks during the last six games.
Kevin Seraphin, C2/27/2014 4:03:00 PM
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) will miss Thursday's game, according to Michael Lee of the Washington Post.
Insight: Nene is out for six weeks with a knee injury of his own, so the Wizards will need to give most of the power forward minutes to Trevor Booker.
Kevin Seraphin, C2/27/2014 10:36:00 AM
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin is questionable for Thursday's game against Toronto due to a sore right knee.
Insight: Seraphin (5.5 ppg, 2.7 rpg) could have been a replacement for injured Nene (six weeks), but now most of those minutes should end up with Trevor Booker.
John Wall, G2/25/2014 9:56:00 PM
Description: Wizards point guard John Wall had a game-high 27 points in Tuesday's win over the Magic.
Insight: Wall also had seven assists, five rebounds, two threes and a steal. Washington had four starters score at least 21 points.
Trevor Ariza, FHot2/25/2014 9:46:00 PM
Description: Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza had three steals and five triples Tuesday against the Magic, finishing with 22 points, four assists and three rebounds.
Insight: Ariza can collect steals and threes in bunches -- he's averaging 2.4 triples and 1.9 thefts this season to go with 14.3 points, 6.4 boards and 2.7 assists per game.
Bradley Beal, SG2/25/2014 9:42:00 PM
Description: After hitting 13-of-22 from 3-point range in a three-game span earlier this month, Wizards guard Bradley Beal has made just four of his last 15 from downtown.
Insight: Beal is clearly not confident in his long-distance shot right now, as he attempted just two total shots from behind the arc in his last two games after going 0-of-5 on Feb. 22. However, he had 21 points Tuesday and averaged 17 ppg his last four. Beal has made up for his lack of threes at the foul line, making 17-of-21 from the stripe the last five games.
Marcin Gortat, CHot2/25/2014 9:39:00 PM
Description: Make that five straight double-doubles for Wizards center Marcin Gortat.
Insight: Gortat had 21 points and 10 rebounds in 38 minutes Tuesday against Orlando and has averaged 16.4 points and 11.2 boards during his streak. He'll need to pick up more of the interior scoring slack with Nene (knee) sidelined for six weeks.
Trevor Booker, F2/25/2014 7:51:00 PM
Description: Wizards power forward Trevor Booker hurt his left ankle during Tuesday's game but is expected to return, according to Michael Lee of the Washington Post.
Insight: The Wizards cannot afford to lose Booker with Nene and Kevin Seraphin both out with knee injuries.
Trevor Booker, F2/25/2014 4:56:00 PM
Description: Wizards power forward Trevor Booker will start Tuesday with both Nene (knee, out 4-6 weeks) and Kevin Seraphin (knee) out, according to Michael Lee of the Washington Post.
Insight: The 6-foot-8 Booker has averaged 25.5 minutes, 8.3 points and 8.1 rebounds over 19 starts this season and should see 35 minutes Tuesday.
Drew Gooden, C2/24/2014 6:29:00 PM
Description: Drew Gooden is close to signing a ten-day contract with Washington. SOURCE: Marc Stein, ESPN
Insight: The move makes sense now that Nene is out with a sprained MCL. Gooden obviously won't be able to fill Nene's shoes but he could give the Wizards some depth behind Trevor Booker and Kevin Seraphin. Outside of very deep leagues, fantasy owners shouldn't be pursuing any of these players.
Nene , PF/C2/24/2014 6:13:00 PM
Description: Wizards power forward Nene has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL in his left knee. SOURCE: Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo Sports
Insight: The injury will keep him out 4-to-6 weeks. Dropping Nene is understandable if you can't spare a roster spot. Backup Kevin Seraphin (5.5 ppg, 2.7 rpg) could be worth a look in deeper formats.
Nene , C2/24/2014 12:11:00 PM
Description: Washington PF/C Nene is headed for an MRI on his injured knee with what the team fears may be a torn ligament, according to a Washington Post report.
Insight: Nene left Sunday's game in the third quarter. We wouldn't count on him playing Tuesday versus the Magic. Kevin Seraphin or Trevor Booker could inherit serious minutes in Nene's injury is long-term.
Nene , C2/23/2014 10:11:00 PM
Description: Washington PF/C Nene is headed for an MRI on his injured knee. SOURCE: Wizards on Twitter
Insight: Nene left Sunday's game with a sprained knee. We wouldn't count on him playing Tuesday versus the Magic. Kevin Seraphin (5.5 ppg) could be a candidate to start in his place.
Nene , C2/23/2014 7:51:00 PM
Description: Wizards PF/C Nene injured his knee Sunday against Cleveland.
Insight: Nene's return is questionable. He had eight points, four rebounds and four assists before exiting. Kevin Seraphin has been filling in at power forward.
Marcin Gortat, CHot2/22/2014 10:09:00 PM
Description: Wizards center Marcin Gortat has generated three consecutive double-doubles.
Insight: He has averaged 16 points, 11 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in that span after putting 16 and 10 and one on the board Saturday against the Pelicans.
Nene , CHot2/22/2014 10:04:00 PM
Description: Washington PF/C Nene scored 30 points with seven rebounds, three steals and two blocks in 33 minutes Saturday against the Pelicans.
Insight: His game-winning dunk with 0.9 seconds left gave him the career-high-tying point total. Nene has had a very good month, averaging 16.8 points, 5.5 boards, 1.9 steals and 0.8 blocks per game.
Jason Collins, C2/20/2014 9:09:00 PM
Description: The Nets are considering signing free agent center Jason Collins to a ten-day contract. SOURCE: Marc Stein, ESPN
Insight: He wouldn't have any fantasy value but it's a major story as Collins would become the first active openly gay player in the NBA. Collins last played for the Wizards in 2013, averaging 0.7 ppg over six appearances.
Andre Miller, PG2/20/2014 6:51:00 PM
Description: Andre Miller is headed to DC as part of a three-team trade. SOURCE: Yahoo Sports
Insight: This was inevitable after Miller's spat with Nuggets head coach Brian Shaw back in late December. Miller (5.9 ppg, 3.3 apg) will backup John Wall at the point, which means his playing time will probably be pretty limited. The 37-year-old hasn't been a fantasy option in quite a while.
John Wall, G2/19/2014 10:12:00 PM
Description: Wizards point guard John Wall produced a robust stat line Wednesday against Atlanta.
Insight: Wall finished with 21 points, 12 assists and five boards in 34 minutes of court time. He went the whole game without committing a turnover. We'll see if Wall can match that Saturday against New Orleans.
Marcin Gortat, C2/18/2014 10:02:00 PM
Description: It wasn't enough to give Washington the win but fantasy owners have to be pleased with the way Marcin Gortat performed Tuesday against Toronto.
Insight: The big man clocked out with 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting. He added 11 rebounds for his 18th double-double of the season. There's a reason this guy is owned in every ESPN league.
Trevor Ariza, FHot2/12/2014 10:48:00 PM
Description: Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza rained down 10 3-pointers on the Houston Rockets Wednesday night.
Insight: Ariza (14.4 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 2.4 3pg, 1.9 spg) made 11-of-20 from the field overall and 10-of-14 from 3-point range. He had 32 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and three steals in the monster performance.
Bradley Beal, SG2/11/2014 10:31:00 PM
Description: Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal scored a career-high 37 points Tuesday against the Grizzlies, but he missed three key shots down the stretch including one that would have tied the game with 12 seconds left. He finished 15-of-24 from the field (5-7 3PT) with five rebounds and two assists.
Insight: Beal played 37 minutes, his most since returning from a stress injury in his leg in mid-December. The team loosened his minute restriction at the start of February, allowing Beal to play 34+ minutes in six straight games.
John Wall, G2/7/2014 10:26:00 PM
Description: Washington guard John Wall turned in another solid outing Friday against Cleveland.
Insight: Wall collected 32 points, ten assists, five rebounds and two steals as the Wizards dropped their second in a row. The win was Cleveland's first since January 24th against the Bucks. Wall is tied with Sacramento's Rudy Gay for 16th in the league in scoring at 20.3 ppg.
Trevor Booker, F2/4/2014 3:30:00 PM
Description: Wizards power forward Trevor Booker did not play Monday due to personal reasons, but was back at practice on Tuesday and should be ready for a normal workload against the Spus on Wednesday, according to beat reporter J. Michael.
Insight: Booker simply isn't getting the minutes coming off the bench to add much fantasy value. He averaged just 7.1 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 0.7 apg in January primarily playing behind Nene.
Trevor Booker, F2/3/2014 6:57:00 PM
Description: Wizards power forward Trevor Booker will not play Monday due to personal reasons, reports Michael Lee of the Washington Post.
Insight: Booker had some fantasy value as a starter earlier this season but he hasn't had double-digit points in a game since Jan. 17 or double figures in rebounds since Jan. 15.
Shannon Brown, SG2/3/2014 4:44:00 PM
Description: Spurs guard Shannon Brown is dealing with some swelling in his jammed middle finger but he'll play Monday, according to Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News.
Insight: San Antonio signed Brown to a 10-day contract on Feb. 1 after losing Danny Green, Kawhi Leonard and Manu Ginobili to injuries. He won't play enough to have any fantasy value.
John Wall, G2/3/2014 8:40:00 AM
Description: Wizards point guard John Wall was tremendous Saturday in a win over the Thunder, but is dealing with a sore heel and could skip some All-Star activities, according to J. Michael of csnwashington. com.
Insight: At this point it doesn't appear that he'll miss any game time, but stay tuned. Wall is averaging 19.8 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 8.6 apg.
Marcin Gortat, C2/2/2014 10:26:00 AM
Description: Wizards center Marcin Gortat helped end Oklahoma City's ten-game winning streak with a double-double on Saturday night.
Insight: Gortat's stat line included 14 points, 14 rebounds and two assists. The 29-year-old's first season in Washington has been a bit of a mixed bag. Gortat's scoring (12.0 ppg) is up from last season (11.1 ppg) but it's still well below the 15.4 ppg he averaged in Phoenix during the 2011-12 campaign.
John Wall, G2/1/2014 10:34:00 PM
Description: Wizards point guard John Wall was tremendous Saturday in a win over the Thunder.
Insight: The win snapped Oklahoma City's ten-game winning streak. Wall didn't shoot the ball well (7-for-18) but he still had 17 points to go along with 15 assists, four rebounds and six steals. Wall was named as an All-Star reserve on Thursday. It's his first All-Star appearance in four seasons in the league.
Martell Webster, SG1/25/2014 7:45:00 PM
Description: Wizards sixth man Martell Webster (illness) said he should be able to play Saturday, according to Wizards announcer Steve Buckhantz.
Insight: Webster missed Friday's game due to an illness. With averages of 11.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 2.2 threes, the swingman has decent fantasy value.
Martell Webster, SG1/25/2014 3:19:00 PM
Description: Wizards sixth man Martell Webster will be a game-time call Saturday against Utah. He missed last night's game because of flu-like symptoms. SOURCE: J. Michael, Comcast Sportsnet Washington
Insight: Otto Porter played 19 minutes filling in for Webster Friday against Phoenix. Unfortunately, he struggled mightily, shooting just 1-of-6 from the field for two points. It's possible that Webster could be on a minutes limit even if he plays, which makes him a risky fantasy proposition.
Martell Webster, SG1/24/2014 9:24:00 PM
Description: Washington G/F Martell Webster won't play Friday against Phoenix. SOURCE: Wizards on Twitter
Insight: He's out with the flu. Look for Georgetown rookie Otto Porter (1.8 ppg) to pick up some extra minutes in Webster's absence.
Martell Webster, SG1/24/2014 8:30:00 PM
Description: Wizards swingman Martell Webster is now questionable for Friday night's game in Phoenix. SOURCE: Paul Coro, Arizona Republic
Insight: Webster (11.5 ppg) is battling an illness. He'll be a game-time decision. The rarely used Otto Porter may make an appearance if Webster is unable to go on Friday.
John Wall, G1/22/2014 9:58:00 PM
Description: Washington guard John Wall had a monster game Wednesday against Boston.
Insight: Wall finished with 28 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for his second career triple-double. It wasn't Wall's most efficient performance (he shot just 9-for-29 from the field) but fantasy owners would be hard-pressed to complain about a triple-double. Wall continues to be one of the league's most consistent producers at the point guard position.
Trevor Booker, F1/21/2014 12:58:00 PM
Description: Washington forward Trevor Booker sprained his left ankle in the first half Saturday against the Pistons, missed Monday's game and a Tuesday practice.
Insight: If Booker can't go on Wednesday, Nene (13.2 ppg, 5.7 rpg) will see most of the minutes at power forward, but he struggled on Monday and didn't produce much (seven points, five rebounds). We expect more than that.
Bradley Beal, SG1/20/2014 6:58:00 PM
Description: Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal led the team with 22 points in a win over Philadelphia Monday afternoon.
Insight: Beal played 30 minutes, which has been his limit since returning from a stress injury in his leg in mid-December. He has averaged 28 per game in 18 games since his return.
Trevor Booker, F1/20/2014 10:39:00 AM
Description: Washington forward Trevor Booker sprained his left ankle in the first half Saturday against the Pistons and is questionable for Monday's game against Philadelphia.
Insight: If Booker can't come back in, Nene (13.4 ppg, 5.7 rpg) will see most of the minutes at power forward. Nene has played 34 plus minutes in the last four games and is averaging 29 mpg this season which is his highest workload in three seasons.
John Wall, G1/18/2014 10:39:00 PM
Description: Wizards point guard John Wall posted 34 points in Saturday's loss to the Pistons.
Insight: Wall shot 65.2 percent from the floor and was 2-of-2 from beyond the arc. He's averaged 20.1 ppg in the month of January, which is nearly identical to his season average (20.2 ppg).
Trevor Booker, F1/18/2014 8:31:00 PM
Description: Washington forward Trevor Booker sprained his left ankle in the first half Saturday against the Pistons. SOURCE: Michael Lee, Washington Post

Trevor Ariza, F1/17/2014 2:52:00 PM
Description: Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza (illness) missed Wednesday's practice, but was at this morning's shootaround and should be ready to go this evening.
Insight: Ariza played 35 minutes Wednesday in a win over the Heat despite dealing with a fever of 102 degrees and throwing up during the game. He's averaging a solid 14.2 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 2.7 apg, 1.8 spg, 2.3 threes per contest.
Trevor Ariza, F1/16/2014 5:42:00 PM
Description: Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza (illness) missed Wednesday's practice, according to J. Michael of csnwashington.com.
Insight: Ariza played 35 minutes Wednesday in a win over the Heat despite dealing with a fever of 102 degrees and throwing up during the game. He should be able to play Friday.
Glen Rice Jr., G/F1/16/2014 4:28:00 PM
Description: Wizards swingman Glen Rice Jr. has finally gotten the go ahead to begin a shooting program, the next step toward full practice.
Insight: Rice's original timetable was 3-6 weeks, so he's right on schedule. He's got no fantasy value at the moment averaging 2.9 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 0.6 apg.
Bradley Beal, SG1/15/2014 9:27:00 PM
Description: Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal made 7-of-13 from the field and had 19 points, five rebounds and four assists Wednesday against the Heat.
Insight: Washington is still limiting Beal's minutes to around 30 per game to protect him from aggravating the stress injury in his leg and he has struggled with his shooting in January. However, he has made 13-of-25 from the field the last two games.
Nene , C1/15/2014 9:24:00 PM
Description: Washington PF/C Nene has averaged 19 points, 7.0 assists, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 2.0 steals in two games since returning to the starting lineup.
Insight: He had 19 points, nine assists, four rebounds, three blocks and two steals over 34 minutes Wednesday in a win over the Heat. Nene, whose career average for assists is 1.9, is averaging a career-high 3.1 dimes per game this season.
Trevor Ariza, F1/11/2014 11:03:00 PM
Description: Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza had 23 points, 14 rebounds, five steals and three threes Saturday against Houston.
Insight: Ariza is averaging 14.3 points, the second most of his career and highest since 2009-10 when he was with the Rockets. He's added a career-high 6.0 rebounds, 2.3 threes and 1.8 steals, making him a fantastic fantasy option.
Marcin Gortat, C1/7/2014 10:01:00 PM
Description: Washington center Marcin Gortat bounced back from Sunday's benching and had 18 points, 13 rebounds, a steal and three blocks in 38 minutes Tuesday at Charlotte.
Insight: Gortat came in averaging just 24.5 minutes per game over his last six contests, so it's a good sign he was on the court for 38 Tuesday.
Bradley Beal, SG1/7/2014 9:33:00 PM
Description: Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal had 21 points on 10-of-18 shooting in 31 minutes Tuesday at Charlotte.
Insight: Beal has been on a minutes limit since returning from a stress injury in his leg and played 27.5 mpg his previous nine games. The Wizards will continue the restriction for a few more weeks, csnwashington.com reported Saturday.
Marcin Gortat, CCold1/6/2014 11:13:00 AM
Description: Washington center Marcin Gortat was benched in the third quarter Sunday and didn't return.
Insight: With 12.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game, Gortat has been a strong No. 2 fantasy center this season, but if he and management can't work out their differences he could drop in value. His numbers have steadily dropped since November and he's averaging just 10.7 ppg and 5.3 rpg in January.
Bradley Beal, SG1/4/2014 3:18:00 PM
Description: Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal will stay on a minute restriction for a few more weeks, according to J. Michael of csnwashington.com.
Insight: Beal has played just 27.5 minutes per game and averaged 13.6 points in eight games since returning from a stress injury in his leg. He also suffered a bruised knee on Dec. 27, which could be contributing to the team's decision to restrict him.
Nene , C1/3/2014 9:23:00 PM
Description: Washington PF/C Nene had 15 points, four rebounds and one block in 20 minutes of action Friday against Toronto.
Insight: Nene has played just 23 minutes per game in seven games since returning from Achilles tendinitis while coming off the bench in all seven. Trevor Booker has held onto the starting job for 11 games and averaged 9.5 points and 9.8 rebounds per game in that span.
Trevor Ariza, F1/3/2014 9:22:00 PM
Description: Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza was ejected from Friday's game in the third quarter.
Insight: If you were wondering why Ariza only played 21 minutes, that's the reason. Joey Crawford gave Ariza the hook after the forward argued an offensive foul call.
Trevor Booker, FHot1/1/2014 9:13:00 PM
Description: Wizards power forward Trevor Booker had 10 points, a career-high 19 rebounds, one steal and one block in 30 minutes of action Wednesday against Dallas.
Insight: Booker averaged 27 minutes, 9.3 points and 8.2 rebounds per game in December. Washington has kept Booker in the starting lineup and limited Nene's minutes since Nene returned from an Achilles injury on Dec. 18.
Bradley Beal, SG12/28/2013 9:46:00 PM
Description: Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal (bruised knee) played just 20 minutes Saturday but he scored 15 points and had four assists, two rebounds and three triples.

Description: Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal has a chance to play Saturday, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com. He only has a bruised left knee.
Insight: Beal hurt his left leg Friday but X-rays came back negative and an MRI revealed no structural damage. While he has avoided a long-term issue, it seems doubtful he'll play Saturday considering he appeared to be in a lot of pain when the injury happened and was on crutches after the game.
Bradley Beal, SG12/28/2013 10:01:00 AM
Description: X-rays on Bradley Beal's left leg came back negative. Beal suffered the injury late in Friday night's loss to Minnesota. SOURCE: Michael Lee, Washington Post
Insight: Unfortunately, he's not out of the woods just yet. Beal is headed for an MRI on his knee and it's very possible that he could have structural damage. The Wizards haven't officially ruled him out yet but there's almost no chance we'll see him tonight against the Pistons.
Bradley Beal, SG12/27/2013 10:37:00 PM
Description: Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal suffered what looked to be a serious leg injury in the fourth quarter of Friday's loss to Minnesota.
Insight: He had to be carried off the court. Beal could be looking at another lengthy absence. So far, he's only played in 17 of the team's 26 games this season. Even if by some miracle his X-rays come back clean, there's no way Beal is playing tomorrow night against the Pistons.
Kevin Seraphin, C12/27/2013 8:24:00 PM
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin is unlikely to play Friday versus Minnesota. SOURCE: Michael Lee, Washington Post
Insight: Seraphin (4.7 ppg, 2.0 rpg) had an MRI on his right knee though luckily it didn't show anything serious. Consider him day-to-day.
Martell Webster, SG12/21/2013 8:33:00 PM
Description: Washington G/F Martell Webster only played 21 minutes Saturday against Boston.
Insight: Webster played big minutes while Bradley Beal was out of the lineup but he's likely to see inconsistent playing time as a reserve swingman now that Beal is back. He has averaged 26.5 minutes per game off the bench this season, compared to 37 as a starter.
Trevor Ariza, FHot12/21/2013 8:30:00 PM
Description: Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza had 27 points, eight rebounds and five threes Saturday afternoon at Boston.

Insight: The high-scoring two-guard hasn't played since November. We're not sure whether he'll immediately start or be eased back into the lineup, so waiting a game to see how it plays out might be best.

Description: Washington G/F Martell Webster is available for Friday's game in Atlanta. SOURCE: Wizards on Twitter

Insight: Webster averaged 40 minutes, 15 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 3.1 threes over his previous 11 games (10 starts). Otto Porter Jr. will need to play more than expected in his NBA debut with Webster out.
Otto Porter, F12/6/2013 6:36:00 PM
Description: Washington G/F Otto Porter (hip) is active for Friday's game against the Bucks, according to Michael Lee of the Washington Post. Kevin Seraphin will be inactive.
Insight: Porter will be making his NBA debut after Washington took him with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2013 draft. He averaged 16.2 ppg and 7.5 rpg in his final season at Georgetown. Trevor Ariza and Martell Webster have been playing well and stand in Porter's way at the wing spots right now, and things will get even more congested when Bradley Beal returns in a week or two.
Otto Porter, F12/6/2013 9:53:00 AM
Description: Washington G/F Otto Porter (hip) will be a game-time decision Friday against the Bucks, according to J. Michael of csnwashington.com.

Otto Porter, F12/5/2013 5:39:00 PM
Description: Washington G/F Otto Porter (hip) will be a game-time decision Friday against the Bucks, according to J. Michael of csnwashington.com.
Insight: Porter has yet to make his debut after Washington took him with the No. 3 overall pick. He's unlikely to be a fantasy factor right away with Trevor Ariza and Martell Webster playing well at the wing spots.
Nene , C11/30/2013 9:37:00 PM
Description: Wizards PF/C Nene (Achilles) played 36 minutes and had 13 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block Saturday against the Hawks.
Insight: Nene missed Friday's game with a sore Achilles, but it appears to be a minor concern.
Trevor Ariza, F11/30/2013 9:32:00 PM
Description: Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza knocked down five triples and all five of his free throws to score 24 points Saturday against the Hawks.
Insight: Bradley Beal's injury prevented the Wizards from having to split small forward minutes between Ariza and the red-hot Martell Webster when Ariza returned from his hamstring injury four games ago. We'll see how coach Randy Wittman handles the impending debut of 2013 No. 3 overall pick Otto Porter Jr.
John Wall, GHot11/30/2013 9:30:00 PM
Description: Washington guard John Wall made 9-of-18 from the field and had 26 points, 12 assists, six rebounds and five steals Saturday against the Hawks.

Nene , C11/30/2013 6:42:00 PM
Description: Wizards PF/C Nene (Achilles) is in the lineup Saturday against Atlanta.
Insight: Nene missed Friday's game with a sore Achilles. Once he strings a few more healthy games together, it would be a good idea to sell him. He's averaging 15.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.9 blocks over 13 games this season but rarely goes more than a few weeks without suffering another injury.
Nene , C11/30/2013 5:57:00 PM

Description: Washington center Marcin Gortat made 11 of his 12 field-goal attempts and had 25 points, eight boards, two assists and two blocks over 41 minutes Wednesday at Milwaukee.
Insight: With 13.2 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game, Gortat has been a strong No. 2 fantasy center this season.
Martell Webster, SGHot11/26/2013 9:48:00 PM
Description: Starting in place of the injured Bradley Beal (leg), Wizards G/F Martell Webster played 43 minutes and stuffed the stat sheet with 20 points, nine rebounds, three assists, four steals, one block and four threes.
Insight: Webster started the previous five games in place of SF Trevor Ariza (hamstring), who returned from his injury Tuesday and had 13 points, seven rebounds and three steals in 32 minutes. Webster has averaged 40 minutes, 16.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 3.1 treys over his last seven games and is a must-add if he's still available in your league with Beal out for at least two weeks.
Nene , CHot11/26/2013 9:47:00 PM
Description: Washington PF/C Nene scored a season-high 30 points on 13-of-22 shooting Tuesday against the Lakers.
Insight: The 22 shot attempts are also a season high. He has played at least 35 minutes in each of the last six games and scored 20 or more points in four of them.
John Wall, GHot11/26/2013 9:45:00 PM
Description: Washington guard John Wall scored 30-plus points for the third straight game Tuesday against the Lakers.
Insight: With Bradley Beal out for at least two weeks due to a stress injury in his leg, the Wizards need Wall to keep scoring. He had 31 points, nine assists, six boards and three steals in 37 minutes against Los Angeles Tuesday.
Martell Webster, SGHot11/26/2013 6:05:00 PM
Description: Wizards G/F Martell Webster, who averaged 40 minutes, 15.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 3.0 threes over the last six games, will remain in the starting lineup even though Trevor Ariza is returning from a hamstring injury Tuesday.
Insight: Webster will move over to shooting guard in place of Bradley Beal, who will miss at least two weeks with a stress injury in his right fibula. Webster should be owned in all leagues.
Bradley Beal, SG11/26/2013 3:20:00 PM
Description: Washington guard Bradley Beal is going to be sidelined for about two weeks with a stress injury to his proximal right fibula, according to an NBA.com report.
Insight: Its the same leg he fractured the fibula last season so there is plenty of concern. He's been averaging 40 mpg, scoring 20.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 3.5 apg and this is a big loss for fantasy owners and the Wizards.
Bradley Beal, SG11/26/2013 10:50:00 AM
Description: Washington guard Bradley Beal is doubtful for Tuesday's game against the LA Lakers due to an injured right leg.
Insight: Its the same leg he fractured the fibula last season so there is plenty of concern. He's been averaging 40 mpg, scoring 20.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 3.5 apg and this would be a big loss for fantasy owners and the Wizards.
Al Harrington, F11/26/2013 10:47:00 AM
Description: Wizards forward Al Harrington is questionable for Tuesday's game against the LA Lakers while recovering from a strained right knee.
Insight: Harrington is averaging just 7.9 ppg, 1.4 rpg and 1.0 apg and has little to no fantasy value.
Trevor Ariza, F11/25/2013 9:51:00 PM
Description: Updating a previous report, Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza will be back in the lineup Tuesday against the Lakers. SOURCE: Michael Lee, Washington Post
Insight: He missed about two weeks with a strained hamstring. Ariza's return will bump Martell Webster out of the starting lineup.
Trevor Ariza, F11/25/2013 1:42:00 PM
Description: Washington forward Trevor Ariza (hamstring) has missed five consecutive games, but was back on the practice court Monday and could play on Tuesday.
Insight: Ariza averages 14.8 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 2.4 apg, 2.1 spg and 2.5 threes per contest. That's filling up the box score pretty well.
Otto Porter, F11/25/2013 1:39:00 PM
Description: Washington SF Otto Porter made an appearance at practice Monday. Still no clear timetable for when he'll play his first NBA game.
Insight: The Big East Player of the Year averaged 16.2 ppg and 7.5 rpg and shot 42 percent from beyond the arc at Georgetown and he can add to the Wizards lineup when he gets healthy. At the start, he'll likely fight for time with Trevor Ariza and Martell Webster.
Marcin Gortat, C11/23/2013 9:29:00 PM
Description: Washington center Marcin Gortat had a productive outing Saturday against New York.
Insight: He netted 16 points to go along with 17 boards. Gortat has been taking exceptional care of the basketball recently. In his last three games, he's committed just one turnover.
John Wall, GHot11/23/2013 9:26:00 PM
Description: Washington guard John Wall went off for 31 points Saturday in a win against the Knicks.
Insight: This comes just 24 hours after posting 37 against the Raptors. Consistency has been a bit of an issue for Wall so let's see if he can keep this up.
John Wall, G11/22/2013 9:22:00 PM
Description: Wizards point guard John Wall drained 15 of the 21 shots he took and had a season-high 37 points Friday at Toronto.
Insight: Wall brought a .359 shooting percentage into Friday's game. However, his fantasy value is still high because he's averaging 17.6 points, 9.1 assists, 4.6 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.1 threes per game.
Trevor Ariza, F11/22/2013 6:03:00 PM
Description: Washington forward Trevor Ariza (hamstring) will not play Friday, according to Michael Lee of the Washington Post.
Insight: It will be his fourth straight missed game due to a hamstring injury. Martell Webster has averaged 39 minutes, 16.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 3.0 threes over the last four games and will start again Friday.

Nene , CHot11/20/2013 10:14:00 PM
Description: Washington PF/C Nene has scored at least 20 points in three straight games.
Insight: He had 24 points, eight rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal Wednesday at Cleveland. The big man must finally be healthy, as he has played nearly 37 minutes per game over the last three games.
Trevor Ariza, F11/20/2013 6:31:00 PM
Description: Washington forward Trevor Ariza (hamstring) will miss a third straight game Wednesday against the Cavaliers.
Insight: Ariza suffered a hamstring injury last week. Martell Webster has averaged 40 minutes, 17.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 3.3 threes over the last three games and will start again Wednesday.
Nene , C11/20/2013 9:24:00 AM
Description: Washington PF/C Nene (20 points on 7-of-12 shooting) had another big game Tuesday in a victory over Minnesota.
Insight: Tuesday was Nene's third 20-point game of the season. He scored 20 or more points in seven of his 61 games in 2012-13. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Wizards.
Bradley Beal, SG11/19/2013 10:10:00 PM
Description: Washington guard Bradley Beal netted 25 points in Tuesday night's win over Minnesota.
Insight: Beal continues to play huge minutes for the Wizards, who are now 3-7 for the season. In ten contests, he's now logged 399 minutes, an average of just under 40 a game. Last season, he only saw 31.2 mpg and that was still second-most among NBA rookies.
John Wall, G11/19/2013 9:43:00 PM
Description: Washington guard John Wall dished out a career-high 16 assists in Tuesday's win over Minnesota.
Insight: He also added 14 points, five rebounds, two steals and one block. Despite averaging nearly a double-double, Wall's 35.7 percent field goal percentage is a career-worst (55-for-154).
Trevor Ariza, F11/18/2013 9:31:00 PM
Description: Washington forward Trevor Ariza doesn't think he'll be able to play Tuesday night against Minnesota. SOURCE: Wizards on Twitter
Insight: His status for Wednesday's game in Cleveland is also in doubt. Ariza first tweaked his hamstring last week in a loss at San Antonio. Martell Webster has been starting in his place.
Nene , C11/16/2013 10:05:00 PM
Description: Wizards PF/C Nene had a season-high 24 points with seven boards, two assists and one steal over 36:40 Saturday against the Cavaliers.
Insight: Nene has provided the Wizards with consistent production, averaging 14 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. However, he doesn't offer much else to fantasy owners.
Bradley Beal, SGHot11/16/2013 10:01:00 PM
Description: Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal is averaging 23.8 points while shooting 47.4 percent from the field (46-of-97) and 50 percent from 3-point range (14-of-28) over his last five games.
Insight: Beal went 23-of-70 (.329) is his first four games this season but he has exploded for games of 28, 29 and 34 points over his last five. He had 28 with four threes in 47 minutes Saturday in an overtime loss to Cleveland.
Trevor Ariza, F11/14/2013 2:32:00 PM
Description: Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza heard a "pop" early in Wednesday's game against San Antonio and is scheduled for an MRI on his right hamstring, according to a csnwashington.com report.
Insight: Ariza is going to miss significant time though the injury is not expected to be season-ending. It should mean more time for Martell Webster.
Marcin Gortat, CHot11/13/2013 9:06:00 AM
Description: Wizards center Marcin Gortat is averaging a double-double and 2.1 blocks per game this season.
Insight: After playing 17 minutes in his Wizards debut, Gortat has been on the floor for at least 32 minutes and scored in double figures in every game since. He's averaging 13.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game.
Trevor Ariza, FHot11/13/2013 9:03:00 AM
Description: Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza had 27 points, seven rebounds, four steals and five threes in 37 minutes of play Tuesday against Dallas.
Insight: Ariza has played nearly 38 minutes per game this season and averaged 16.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.1 steals and 2.9 threes per game, making him a top-50 fantasy player.
Trevor Booker, F11/12/2013 11:27:00 AM
Description: Wizards forward Trevor Booker was available for Sunday's game, but never left the bench - coach's decision.
Insight: Booker has only a little fantasy value with his 6.7 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1.3 spg average and has been limited by a sprained left index finger, but now it appears he may no longer be part of the rotation.
Nene , C11/8/2013 9:56:00 PM
Description: Wizards PF/C Nene played 35 minutes and had 20 points, eight rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block Friday against Brooklyn.
Insight: Nene provides decent production when he's actually able to play but fantasy owners shouldn't expect many performances like this, even if he's healthy.
Bradley Beal, SG11/8/2013 9:51:00 PM
Description: Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal broke out of his shooting slump with 11 field goals on 20 attempts Friday against the Nets. He tied a career high with 29 points and had three triples in an overtime win.
Insight: Beal went 23-of-70 (.329) is his first five games but it was only a matter of time before he picked it up. His slump hasn't extended out to the 3-point line; he's 14-for-34 (.412) from out there this season.
Trevor Booker, F11/8/2013 2:29:00 PM
Description: Wizards forward Trevor Booker is questionable for Friday's game against Brooklyn due to a sprained left index finger.
Insight: Booker has only a little fantasy value with his 6.7 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1.3 spg average. This injury shouldn't change any lineups.
John Wall, G11/7/2013 5:13:00 PM
Description: According to the Washington Post, Wizards point guard John Wall needed a hot pack on his back after Wednesday's game but said that he was "a lot looser" than he was after Sunday's game.
Insight: Wall played 36 minutes and scored 24 points with nine assists, three rebounds and five threes Wednesday at Philadelphia. It seems like he has his back issues under control for now.
Marcin Gortat, C11/6/2013 9:46:00 PM
Description: Wizards center Marcin Gortat had his best game since joining the team with 19 points and 12 rebounds Wednesday at Philadelphia.
Insight: Gortat played 38 minutes, a season high. He's locked in as Washington's starting center.
Trevor Ariza, F11/6/2013 9:36:00 PM
Description: Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza had 15 points, six rebounds, three assists, three steals and three triples Wednesday at Philadelphia.
Insight: With Otto Porter Jr. out, Ariza has had no competition for playing time and is averaging 35.5 minutes, 17 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 3.3 threes per game. He's a must-own.
Bradley Beal, SGCold11/6/2013 9:32:00 PM
Description: Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal's shooting woes continued Wednesday against Philadelphia.
Insight: Beal made just 7-of-20 from the field (3-9 3PT) and is 23-of-70 (.329) this season but is still averaging 15.8 ppg because he has made 2.8 threes per game. Beal struggled with his shot early last season as well, hitting 35.3 percent from the field and 26.9 percent from 3-point range over the first two months of the season.
John Wall, G11/6/2013 9:30:00 PM
Description: Wizards point guard John Wall made 8-of-16 from the floor, including 5-of-8 from 3-point range, for 24 points with nine assists, three rebounds, one block and one steal over 36 minutes Wednesday at Philadelphia.
Insight: A consistent 3-point shot would be a welcome addition to Wall's fantasy game. He's scored at least 20 points in three of his four games this season and appears to be over the back spasms that plagued him over the weekend.
Nene , C11/6/2013 5:56:00 PM
Description: Wizards PF/C Nene (calf) will be available for Wednesday's game.
Insight: He said earlier in the day that he expected to play after missing two straight games. He'll likely be on a minutes restriction.
Nene , C11/6/2013 2:15:00 PM
Description: Wizards big Nene expects to play Wednesday against Philadelphia. SOURCE: Michael Lee, Washington Post
Insight: Nene has been bothered by Achilles and calf injuries. He was at shootaround Wednesday morning, which obviously bodes well for his chances of playing tonight.
Nene , C11/5/2013 5:47:00 PM
Description: Washington C/PF Nene (calf, Achilles) will likely be a game-time decision Wednesday.
Insight: Nene practiced Tuesday but says he still has a "sharp pain" in his leg, according to J. Michael of csnwashington.com.
Nene , C11/3/2013 12:14:00 PM
Description: Washington C/PF Nene missed the morning shootaround and is unlikely to play Sunday against Miami.
Insight: The Wizards F/C is out with a calf ailment. Trevor Booker will get the start in his place if he doesn't dress for the game.
John Wall, G11/3/2013 12:14:00 PM
Description: Wizards point guard John Wall (back) will play Sunday against Miami, according to Michael Lee of the Washington Post.
Insight: Wall had back spasms during Friday's game and was in "excruciating pain" in the locker room afterwards, but he felt better during Sunday's shootaround.
John Wall, G11/2/2013 2:02:00 PM
Description: Washington point guard John Wall (back) did not practice Saturday, according to J. Michael of csnwashington.com.
Insight: Wall had back spasms during Friday's game and was in "excruciating pain" in the locker room afterwards. He's questionable for Sunday's contest.
John Wall, G11/2/2013 11:57:00 AM
Description: Washington point guard John Wall could barely stand after Friday's game due to back spasms, according to J. Michael of CSNWashington.com.
Insight: The spasms started in the third quarter and left Wall in "excruciating pain" in the locker room following the game. Wall said this was the first time he has dealt with this back issue and added that, "it hurts badly right now." He's questionable for Sunday's game against the Heat.
John Wall, G11/1/2013 10:39:00 PM
Description: Washington point guard John Wall battled back spasms throughout Friday's loss to Philadelphia. SOURCE: Comcast Sportsnet Washington
Insight: The hope is that he'll be able to play Sunday when the Wizards travel to Miami to take on the defending champs. Despite his back issues, Wall finished the night with a robust 26 points on 10-of-19 shooting.
Nene , C11/1/2013 8:21:00 PM
Description: Nene was a late scratch Friday night against the Sixers.
Insight: The Wizards F/C is out with a calf ailment. Trevor Booker got the start in his place.
Nene , C10/31/2013 10:31:00 PM
Description: Despite missing practice with a sore calf on Thursday, the Wizards are expecting Nene to suit up Friday against the Sixers.
Insight: Nene scored 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting in Wednesday's season-opening loss to the Pistons. The 12-year veteran came in at No. 87 in our preseason fantasy rankings.
Trevor Ariza, F10/30/2013 10:31:00 PM
Description: Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza dumped in 28 points and had 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal and six triples Wednesday night at Detroit.
Insight: Ariza surprisingly saw 38 minutes in the game while Martell Webster played 21. With Otto Porter (hip) out indefinitely, Ariza should continue to start and play 30-plus minutes per game, which gives him fantasy value in all leagues.
Marcin Gortat, C10/28/2013 8:21:00 PM
Description: Marcin Gortat practiced with the Wizards Monday, according to csnwashington.com.
Insight: Wizards coach Randy Wittman didn't commit to Gortat as his starting center for Wednesday's season opener, but that's what we'll likely see after Gortat practices again Tuesday. Washington acquired Gortat from Phoenix on Friday.
Otto Porter, F10/28/2013 4:51:00 PM
Description: Washington SF Otto Porter is dealing with a strained right hip flexor and is out indefinitely.
Insight: The Big East Player of the Year averaged 16.2 ppg and 7.5 rpg and shot 42 percent from beyond the arc at Georgetown and he can add a lot to the Wizards lineup when he gets healthy.
Shannon Brown, SG10/25/2013 6:05:00 PM
Description: Shannon Brown has been traded from the Suns to the Wizards as part of the Marcin Gortat-Emeka Okafor swap.
Insight: Brown averaged 24 minutes, 10.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 0.7 threes in 59 games last season and was expected to play a backup wing role with Phoenix. He'll play the same role with the Wizards, but Washington has a much deeper group of wing players than Phoenix with Bradley Beal, Martell Webster, Trevor Ariza, Otto Porter, Chris Singleton and Glen Rice Jr.
Marcin Gortat, C10/25/2013 5:59:00 PM
Description: The Suns have agreed to trade Marcin Gortat, Shannon Brown and Kendall Marshall to the Wizards for Emeka Okafor and a 2014 first-round draft pick. SOURCE: Marc Stein, ESPN
Insight: The swap doesn't change the fantasy fortunes of Gortat or Okafor too dramatically. Both the Suns and the Wizards have ball-controlling guards who can score the basketball, though John Wall should help Gortat get more easy baskets than Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe would have. Gortat averaged 32 minutes, 15.4 points, 10 rebounds and 1.5 blocks with Steve Nash at point guard in 2011-12, but fell to 11.1 points and 8.5 rebounds with 1.6 blocks in 31 minutes last season.
Emeka Okafor, C9/18/2013 7:36:00 PM
Description: Wizards center Emeka Okafor is out indefinitely with a herniated disk in his neck. SOURCE: Wizards on Twitter
Insight: It won't be an easy injury to come back from, though for now it appears that Okafor won't need surgery. When it comes to drafting a Wizards big man in fantasy, Kevin Seraphin is probably your safest option.
Al Harrington, F8/14/2013 6:12:00 PM
Description: The Wizards signed forward Al Harrington on Wednesday. SOURCE: Kyle Wiedie, ESPN True Hoop Network
Insight: He passed his physical on Tuesday and now his one-year, $1.4 million contract is official. Harrington was waived by the Magic earlier this month. Fantasy owners probably won't need to keep a close watch on him.
John Wall, G7/31/2013 7:08:00 PM
Description: John Wall isn't going anywhere. The Wizards made sure of that by signing the point guard to a five-year, $80 million extension on Wednesday. SOURCE: Michael Lee, Washington Post
Insight: James Harden signed a contract for the same amount of money last October. Though Wall isn't quite on the same level as Harden at this point in his career, his potential is similar. He set career highs in points (18.5 ppg) and field goal percentage (44.1) last season and we're expecting him to improve in both those areas next season. Wall is a top-ten fantasy point guard.
Martell Webster, SG7/2/2013 9:14:00 PM
Description: The Wizards have re-signed swingman Martell Webster. His contract extension is worth $22 million over the next four seasons. SOURCE: Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo Sports
Insight: Webster (11.4 ppg in 76 games) had his moments last season but he's certainly not worth a contract of this magnitude. Another puzzling move by a front office that has produced plenty of head scratchers over the years.
Otto Porter, F6/27/2013 8:14:00 PM
Description: Otto Porter won't have to go far. The Georgetown star was drafted third overall by the Wizards on Thursday.
Insight: The reigning Big East Player of the Year was spectacular as a sophomore, averaging 16.2 ppg on 48 percent shooting. The Wizards have a need at wing so he should be able to start next season.
Nene , C4/17/2013 6:50:00 PM
Description: Washington center Nene (various injuries) will miss the regular season finale on Wednesday.
Insight: Nene ruled himself out for the final two games on Sunday. He has dealt with plantar fasciitis along with knee and shoulder injuries this season and admitted that he has considered retiring, according to the Washington Post.
Emeka Okafor, C4/17/2013 6:48:00 PM
Description: Washington center Emeka Okafor will miss Wednesday's game.
Insight: Okafor made it through 79 games this season and averaged 9.7 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 26 minutes per game. Wednesday will be Kevin Seraphin's time to shine.
