Description: Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias left Saturday's game against the Astros with a bruised left knee.
Insight: Iglesias hit his knee against Chris Carter's knee in the third. Iglesias didn't leave right away, but Hernan Perez pinch ran for him when Iglesias singled in the fifth. Consider the shortstop day-to-day.
Willie Bloomquist, SS, SEA5/23/2015 4:50:00 PM
Description: Mariners infielder Willie Bloomquist hit the game-winning two-run double in the third as Seattle defeated Toronto, 3-2, on Saturday.
Insight: Bloomquist only has 38 at-bats this season, but he came into the game 20-for-44 in his career versus Mark Buehrle, so Bloomquist was a great daily play. He rewarded those who rolled the dice on him as he had a two-run double in the third inning that proved to be the game-winner.
Willie Bloomquist, SS, SEA5/23/2015 11:57:00 AM
Description: Mariners infielder Willie Bloomquist could get a rare start on Saturday and if he does, he might be worth a flier.
Insight: Bloomquist is a career .455 hitter versus Blue Jays starter Mark Buehrle (20-for-44) with nine extra-base hits and a 1.160 OPS. He's only seen 34 at-bats all season, so this would be a 'Hail Mary." Update: Bloomquist is in the starting lineup playing right field and batting second.

Description: Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki is just 1-for-15 versus the Giants' starter Yusmeiro Petit.

Description: Dodgers shortstop Jimmy Rollins is not in Thursday's starting lineup, Enrique Hernandez will get the start.
Insight: Rollins is only batting .192 this season and just 2-for-15 over the past four games so can probably use a day on the bench.

Description: White Sox shortstop Alexei Ramirez is a stunning 8-for-10 against Cleveland starter Danny Salazar.
Insight: Ramirez is struggling this season, batting just .235 with two homers and 18 RBI. Fantasy owners are hoping he can repeat his 2014 numbers (.273, 15 HR, 74 RBI, 82 runs, 21 SB).

Description: Orioles shortstop Everth Cabrera (disabled list due to a bruised left foot) could be activated as soon as Friday.

Description: Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias is out of the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Astros.
Insight: Just a rest day for Iglesias. He's batting .328 with an .808 OPS and six stolen bases. Solid numbers from a bottom of the order guy. Andrew Romine will get the start and he's batting .346 this season in limited action.

Description: Angels shortstop Erick Aybar is batting leadoff Monday afternoon.
Insight: Aybar started slowly, but has exploded in May, batting .351 in 15 games and the Angels will try to get him the extra at-bat at the top of the order. Kole Calhoun will bat cleanup.

Description: Arizona infielder Chris Owings is a stunning 9-for-14 (.643) against Miami starter Dan Haren.
Insight: Owings has been hitting well of late with five multi-hit games in the last six contests to raise his average to .270. He's a very good inexpensive play on Monday.
Luis Valbuena, SS, CLE5/17/2015 4:46:00 PM
Description: Houston third baseman Luis Valbuena may not hit for much of an average, but on Sunday he bashed his 10th home run of the season.
Insight: Valbuena's career high is 16 home runs from a season ago and it appears that he'll improve on that number in 2015 as long as he keeps getting his at-bats. We'd like to see him hit closer to .250, however.
Troy Tulowitzki, SS, COL5/17/2015 3:28:00 PM
Description: Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki (quad) is out again for Sunday's contest.
Insight: He left Friday's contest with the injury, and Colorado will be cautious. Consider him day-to-day for now. Daniel Descalso is starting in his place, but has little fantasy value.

Description: Cardinals shortstop Jhonny Peralta doesn't have a hit in 13 at-bats against Tigers lefty David Price.
