Mason and Flyers blank Kings

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Steve Mason recorded his second shutout in his last three games as the Philadelphia Flyers blanked the Los Angeles Kings, 2-0, at Staples Center.

Wayne Simmonds tallied his 100th career goal with an assist against his former team, while Claude Giroux also had a multi-point night after lighting the lamp on a third-period power play.

Mason turned aside 35 shots in his third shutout of the season as the Flyers have won two of their last three.

Jonathan Quick allowed both goals on 13 shots in the Kings' third straight defeat.
