Winnipeg, MB (Sports Network) - The Winnipeg Jets have agreed to terms on a new contract with goaltender Al Montoya.
Montoya, 28, went 3-1-0 with a 2.91 goals-against average and a .899 save percentage in seven games last season, his first with the Jets as the backup to Ondrej Pavelec.
Selected sixth overall by the New York Rangers in 2004, Montoya has compiled a 24-18-10 record with a 2.77 GAA and a .906 save percentage in 63 career games with the Phoenix Coyotes, New York Islanders and Jets.
