(SportsNetwork.com) - Houston Texans running back Arian Foster will reportedly miss the remainder of the season because of a back issue.
According to NFL.com, Foster will need surgery for a lumbar spine problem and will be placed on injured reserve Monday.
The Texans' website on Sunday morning said the team doesn't comment on roster moves until after they have occurred.
Foster had already been declared out for Sunday's game against Arizona after leaving last week's game with the back injury.
The three-time Pro Bowl selection has rushed for 542 yards with a touchdown in eight games this season.
