Flowery Branch, GA (Sports Network) - Atlanta Falcons right tackle Mike Johnson suffered a dislocated left ankle and fractured fibula during Tuesday's practice.
The Falcons didn't say how long Johnson would be sidelined, although he's due to have surgery next week.
A third-round draft pick in 2010, Johnson played in 15 games last season, starting one time. He opened training camp as the favorite to start at right tackle after the Falcons released former regular Tyson Clabo in April.
Johnson was also a member of Alabama's 2009 national championship team.
