Baltimore, MD (Sports Network.com) - The Baltimore Orioles acquired outfielder David Lough from the Kansas City Royals for infielder Danny Valencia on Wednesday.
Lough hit .286 with 17 doubles and five home runs in 96 games for the Royals last season, while playing all three outfield positions. The 27-year-old spent seven seasons in the Royals minor-league system and batted .297 with 65 homeruns, 121 doubles and 344 RBI through 677 games played.
Valencia hit .304 with eight homers and drove in 23 runs for the Orioles last season. The 29-year-old is a career .263 hitter with 156 RBI and 66 doubles over five seasons.
