Pens rally past Buffalo for third straight win Buffalo, NY (Sports Network) - Paul Martin scored the tie-breaking goal with 2:04 left to play as the Pittsburgh Penguins continued their recent success by rallying for a 4-3 victory over the Buffalo Sabres at First Niagara Center. Pascal Dupuis netted a pair of goals, including the game-tying tally earlier in the third period, while assisting on Martin's clincher, and Sidney Crosby registered a goal and two assists to help the Penguins improve to 8-2-0 on the road this season and post their third consecutive win overall. Marc-Andre Fleury finished with 30 saves in Pittsburgh's triumph. Thomas Vanek had a goal and an assist for Buffalo, which overcame a horrific start to the contest to take a 3-2 lead on Steve Ott's marker 5:17 into the final period. Christian Ehrhoff delivered a pair of assists in the setback, the Sabres' third in four games, with Ryan Miller stopping 31 shots on the afternoon. 02/17 15:29:25 ET |
