4/17/2013 7:34:00 PM
Description: Suns center Jermaine O'Neal (shin) will miss the regular season finale Wednesday night.
Insight: O'Neal dealt with injuries all season as usual and ended up averaging 8.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 55 games.

4/9/2013 3:52:00 PM
Description: Suns center Jermaine O'Neal (shin) will play Tuesday after missing one game.
Insight: O'Neal averaged 15.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in the three game prior to his absence.

3/22/2013 10:13:00 PM
Description: Suns center Jermaine O'Neal won't be in action Friday against Minnesota. He suffered a calf injury Wednesday against Washington and is also suffering from flu-like symptoms.
Insight: Luis Scola will draw the start at center for Phoenix. It sounds like O'Neal would have played if he didn't have the flu. He could be back for Sunday's game versus Brooklyn.

3/21/2013 10:22:00 AM
Description: The Arizona Republic is reporting that Phoenix center Jermaine O'Neal's leg injury is actually a strained left calf. O'Neal suffered the injury late in Wednesday's loss to the Wizards.
Insight: O'Neal had been having an off shooting night prior to his departure (just 3-for-11). The veteran has been starting in place of Marcin Gortat, who is likely out for the season because of a Lisfranc sprain. Hamed Haddadi is the only other center on the Suns' roster but he's just a role player. If O'Neal misses time, we're guessing head coach Lindsey Hunter will use Luis Scola or one of the Morris twins at the five.

3/15/2013 10:00:00 PM
Description: Suns center Jermaine O'Neal moved into the starting lineup Friday and scored 18 points with five rebounds and a block in 29 minutes.
Insight: The Suns are short on centers without Marcin Gortat. Luis Scola had been starting there but he was benched Friday in favor of O'Neal. O'Neal won't be a consistent offensive option but he can provide some blocks.

3/11/2013 8:43:00 PM
Description: Suns center Jermaine O'Neal has returned to the team but he won't be in uniform Monday against the Nuggets. O'Neal left the team for personal reasons last week.
Insight: O'Neal insists he'll be back in action Wednesday against Houston. O'Neal's stats don't scream fantasy stud (7.8 ppg and 5.3 rpg in 44 appearances) but he actually might be worth picking up on the waiver wire now that Marcin Gortat (11.1 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 1.6 bpg) is out with a foot injury.

3/5/2013 11:45:00 AM
Description: Phoenix Suns backup center Jermaine O'Neal is expected to miss three games to be with his daughter who is having heart surgery Wednesday.
Insight: O'Neal has played well lately averaging 14.6 ppg and 10.3 rpg over the past three games.

2/5/2013 10:40:00 AM
Description: Phoenix Suns backup center Jermaine O'Neal is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against Memphis, but is expected to make his return from an irregular heartbeat problem.
Insight: We don't expect O'Neal to produce fantasy-worthy statistics as Marcin Gortat, Luis Scola and Michael Beasley will eat up most of the big man minutes.

1/25/2013 8:22:00 PM
Description: Suns center Jermaine O'Neal says he should be fine to play again in about three days. O'Neal missed Thursday's game against the Clippers because of an irregular heartbeat.
Insight: If that's the case, O'Neal should have a chance to play next Wednesday against the Lakers. O'Neal's fantasy value has been hindered by Michael Beasley's recent resurgence (13.2 ppg in his last five contests).

1/25/2013 10:22:00 AM
Description: Phoenix center Jermaine O'Neal is doubtful for Saturday's game against San Antonio with an irregular heartbeat.
Insight: Yes, O'Neal actually still plays in the NBA. The dinosaur is averaging 6.4 ppg, 4.1 rpg this year in 15.6 minutes per game. No timetable was given for his return so O'Neal could be out a while and has little-to-no fantasy value.

1/23/2013 10:11:00 PM
Description: Phoenix center Jermaine O'Neal is out for Thursday night's game against the Clippers. He has an "undisclosed medical condition" according to the Arizona Republic's Paul Coro.
Insight: Yes, O'Neal actually still plays in the NBA. The dinosaur is averaging 6.4 ppg this year in 15.6 minutes per game. No timetable was given for his return so O'Neal could be out a while.

12/3/2012 10:40:00 AM
Description: Suns backup center Jermaine O'Neal is questionable for Tuesday's game against Memphis with a strained right quadriceps.
Insight: O'Neal is averaging 7.8 ppg and 5.2 rpg and hasn't scored in the double-digits since Nov.25 against Philadelphia. He's only going to have fantasy value is starter Marcin Gortat is injured.

11/22/2012 1:18:00 PM
Description: Suns backup center Jermaine O'Neal has averaged 13 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.6 blocks per game in his last three games after missing the six previous contests.
Insight: O'Neal's minutes have increased to nearly 21 per game over his last three, but he's firmly behind Marcin Gortat at the center position for Phoenix and doesn't figure to carry consistent fantasy value.

11/13/2012 1:46:00 PM
Description: Suns backup center Jermaine O'Neal is questionable for Wednesday's game against Chicago. He left the team to attend a relative's funeral.
Insight: O'Neal has only been seeing about 12 mpg which certainly isn't enough to amass a fantasy-worthy box score.

8/13/2012 9:23:00 PM
Description: Center Jermaine O'Neal and the Phoenix Suns have come to an agreement on a new one-year deal.
Insight: O'Neal (5.0 ppg, 5.4 rpg for Boston last season) was a fantasy nonfactor even when healthy last season (and that wasn't very often), so don't expect much from the 33-year-old heading into the 2012-13 campaign.

3/20/2012 9:27:00 AM
Description: Jermaine O'Neal will have surgery on his left wrist and miss the remainder of the season
Insight: In 25 games this season, O'Neal averaged 5.0 points and 5.4 rebounds so this will not change any fantasy lineups. It will, however, help Kevin Garnett owners, allowing him to continue to play big minutes.

3/5/2012 11:38:00 AM
Description: O'Neal is still trying to decide whether to have surgery on his wrist on rest a couple of weeks and try to play through the pain.
Insight: Brandon Bass will get the start in his absence, but has little fantasy value. Kevin Garnett has gained value playing at the center position as the Celtics only true inside option.

11/16/2010 11:04:00 AM
Description: O'Neal could miss a few weeks with a sore knee, according to ESPN Boston.
Insight: O'Neal has been plagued by knee soreness all season and has not played in the last two games. He doesn't produce enough to be on the fantasy radar. (RapidDraft.com)

11/1/2010 7:02:00 AM
Description: O'Neal returned to practice on Sunday after missing Friday's game with a sore left knee.
Insight: O'Neal has seen very limited minutes in the start of his Celtic career. It looks like the 32-year-old's fantasy relevance is over. (RapidDraft.com)
