Description: Heat center Hassan Whiteside grabbed 24 rebounds in the loss to Atlanta on Saturday.
Insight: Whiteside took full advantage of Miami's thin frontcourt and Atlanta resting Al Horford. Whiteside grabbed 16 defensive rebounds and eight offensive. He was also 6-of-8 from the field on his way to 14 points.
Chris Andersen, F/C2/28/2015 7:04:00 PM
Description: Heat center Chris Andersen is sick and will not play versus the Hawks on Saturday.

Luol Deng, F2/23/2015 10:16:00 PM
Description: Heat forward Luol Deng led the team in scoring with 29 points as Miami defeated Philadelphia, 119-108, on Monday.
Insight: Deng hit 4-of-5 3-pointers and shot an incredible 11-for-14 from the field overall. Deng should continue to see more shot opportunities without Chris Bosh in the lineup, but don't expect him to have this kind of shooting night again.

Description: Heat guard Goran Dragic played much better in his second game with Miami than his first.
Insight: Dragic finished with just 12 points on Saturday in his Heat debut, but he scored 23 points with 10 assists in his second game on Monday. Dragic was 9-of-14 from the field with two 3-pointers, two rebounds and two steals as well.

Insight: He went just 4-of-11 from the field and 3-of-6 from the line for 12 points, three rebounds, one assist, one 3-pointer, one steal, and one turnover during Saturday's loss. Look for Dragic to be much more effective, as he gets acclimated to his new team.
Mario Chalmers, G2/21/2015 11:47:00 PM
Description: Not only did guard Mario Chalmers lead Miami in scoring on Saturday night, but he also played a team-high 37 minutes off the bench.
Insight: This is seems like it will be a bit of an anomaly, as he scored 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field (4-of-4 from the line). Goran Dragic will continue to start at point guard, but Chalmers looks like he will get steady minutes.
Mario Chalmers, G2/21/2015 7:13:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Mario Chalmers will come off the bench for Miami.
Insight: With Goran Dragic starting in his first game with the Heat, Chalmers will move to a reserve role. He is the 133rd-ranked player in Yahoo standard leagues, and will probably see a decline in value. However, be aware that he will likely start in games Dwyane Wade does not play, and will undoubtedly see minutes off the bench.
Chris Bosh, C/PF2/21/2015 6:25:00 PM
Description: The Miami Heat have announced that forward Chris Bosh (blood clot in lung) will miss the remainder of the season.
Insight: At this point, there is much more for Bosh to worry about other than basketball, and we wish him the absolute best. In the meantime, Hassan Whiteside will see an even bigger role, and do not be surprised if Miami brings Andray Blatch into the fold.

Description: Miami forward Udonis Haslem had 13 points, five rebounds and two assists versus the Knicks on Friday.
Insight: The Heat starters shared the wealth extremely well as every starter had either 12 or 13 points. Haslem was making just his third start of the season, and this was clearly his best game. The weak opponent could have had something to do with that. Even still, Haslem will begin to get looks in standard leagues if Chris Bosh is indeed out for the season. Haslem still has a lot of work to do to reach Bosh's numbers, but his line Friday is promising.
Dwyane Wade, G2/20/2015 7:05:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Dwyane Wade is starting on Friday against the Knicks.
Insight: Wade missed a few weeks prior to the All-Star break with a hamstring issue. Wade will be the focal point on Friday without Chris Bosh, so Wade needs to be in all fantasy lineups.

Description: Miami forward Udonis Haslem will start in place of the injured Chris Bosh on Friday versus the Knicks.
Insight: Bosh is out with a blood clot in his lung and could miss the rest of the season. Haslem hasn't been in good in his two starts this season, 3.5 ppg, 3.0 rpg, but he has a nice matchup versus New York. Still, owners will have to be pretty desperate to roll with him.
Chris Bosh, C/PF2/20/2015 2:23:00 PM
Description: According to Joseph Goodman of the Miami Herald, Heat forward Chris Bosh has been diagnosed with a blood clot in both of his lungs.
Insight: If true, Bosh could be out for the remainder of the season or longer. The Heat lineup is going to look completely different Friday night in New York without Bosh and the addition of Goran Dragic plus the return of Dwyane Wade.

Description: Heat guard Dwyane Wade will miss his fifth straight game on Saturday.
Insight: Norris Cole is also doubtful, so Mario Chalmers and Shabazz Napier will get all the minutes at guard. Wade did some light work during shootaround, so he is questionable for Sunday.

Description: Heat forward Chris Bosh scored 28 points in the, 110-91, loss to the Clippers on Thursday.

Description: Heat guard Dwyane Wade will not play on Monday and is doubtful for Thursday's game against the LA Clippers.

Description: Heat power forward Josh McRoberts (toe) practiced Thursday morning and is in line to play Thursday night against the Clippers

Luol Deng, F11/20/2014 1:46:00 PM
Description: Heat forward Luol Deng did not play on Monday, but despite a doubtful tag practiced Thursday morning.

Description: Heat shooting guard Danny Granger played 20 minutes Monday and could see that much time Thursday if Deng is again inactive.

Dwyane Wade, G11/17/2014 2:05:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Dwyane Wade has missed the past two games and is doubtful for Monday, though he did travel with the team to Brooklyn.
Insight: It appeared to be a minor problem, but a similar injury forced him to sit for nine games last season. He's averaging 19.8 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 6.4 apg and the Heat don't have any replacement that can post those types of numbers. Mario Chalmers started Sunday.
Dwyane Wade, G11/16/2014 10:56:00 AM
Description: Heat guard Dwyane Wade is questionable for Sunday's game against Milwaukee due to tightness in his left hamstring.
Insight: It appeared to be a minor problem, but it kept him out of Friday's game, so as always, he's a game-time decision. He's scored 20 or more in four straight games, so if he plays he should be in all lineups ... if he plays.
Mario Chalmers, G11/14/2014 9:54:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Mario Chalmers played his best game of the season during Friday's loss to Atlanta.
Insight: He was 7-of-11 from the field and 8-of-8 from the line for 23 points off the bench. Chalmers also played 40 minutes and had 11 assists, one rebound, and three turnovers. Do not be surprised if he is starting next game.

Description: Heat forward Chris Bosh was 7-of-19 from the field and 6-of-6 from the line for 20 points, on Friday night.

Description: Heat guard Dwyane Wade is probable for Friday's game against Atlanta with a sore left hamstring.
Insight: It appears to be a minor problem, but with the injury-prone Wade it's always a "game-time" decision.
Dwyane Wade, G11/12/2014 10:05:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Dwyane Wade scored a team-high 20 points in Wednesday's loss to Indiana.
Insight: He was 8-of-16 from the floor, but only 3-of-7 from the line. Wade also had four rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block, and one turnover. More importantly, he has looked healthy this season.
Luol Deng, F11/9/2014 11:21:00 AM
Description: Heat forward Luol Deng scored 14 points in Saturday's win over Minnesota.
Insight: He is averaging 13.2 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 1.5 apg, and 1.3 spg. His scoring decline was to be expected, but owners are hoping his rebounding and assist totals increase soon.

Description: Heat guard Dwyane Wade scored a team-high 25 points in Saturday's win over Minnesota.
Insight: He was 11-of-16 from the field, with eight assists and two steals, in only 30 minutes of action. Fantasy owners will take this stat line every single night from Wade.

Description: Heat forward Chris Bosh continued his strong start to the season.
Insight: He had 24 points, seven rebounds, and two assists in Saturday's victory over the Timberwolves. Bosh is turning into a steal of a pick this season.

Chris Bosh, C/PF11/5/2014 9:42:00 PM
Description: Heat forward Chris Bosh recorded another double-double in a losing effort to the Hornets on Wednesday.
Insight: Bosh had 23 points and 13 rebounds. He contributed just one assist and one steal, but fantasy owners are loving the double figures in points and rebounds.

Description: Heat guard Dwyane Wade played well in 31 minutes of action.
Insight: He was 7-of-11 from the field and 5-of-5 from the line for his 19 points. Wade will continue to produce, but will also have some down games, throughout the season.

Description: Miami forward Udonis Haslem (sore quad) is questionable for Tuesday's game against Houston.
Insight: Haslem has yet to make his 2014-15 debut. The 34-year-old has minimal fantasy value.
Danny Granger, SF11/4/2014 11:36:00 AM
Description: Heat shooting guard Danny Granger is questionable for Tuesday's game against Houston.
Insight: Luol Deng is a "minutes hog" and should keep Granger on the bench for long stretches. Granger has yet to play this season. He has been in steep decline for a few years now and has little fantasy value.
Chris Andersen, F/C11/4/2014 11:32:00 AM
Description: Heat center Chris Andersen is questionable for Tuesday's game against Houston due to bruised ribs.
Insight: At 35-years-old, Andersens numbers are down and at this level (3.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.0 spg) he's not worthy of a spot on fantasy rosters.
Dwyane Wade, G11/2/2014 6:04:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Dwyane Wade will play the second of the back-to-back games this weekend.
Insight: Wade was mediocre in the first one, but fantasy owners have to be excited that he's playing tonight. He only did that three times all last season.
Chris Bosh, C/PF11/1/2014 9:48:00 PM
Description: Heat forward Chris Bosh continued his great start to the season with 30 points on Saturday.
Insight: Bosh made 9-of-17 field goals, including two 3-pointers, and 10-of-11 from the line. He added eight rebounds, four assists and two steals. He seems to be relishing in the opportunity to be "the man" in Miami.
Josh McRoberts, F10/31/2014 4:12:00 PM
Description: Heat power forward Josh McRoberts (toe surgery) practiced in full during Friday's session.
Insight: He is getting close to game-action, and will have a chance to suit up Saturday in Philadelphia. McRoberts will provide owners with some three-pointers, rebounds, and a solid field goal percenatge, during the season.
Norris Cole, GHot10/30/2014 1:26:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Norris Cole was huge in his opener - 23 points, three rebounds, two assists.
Insight: It will be interesting to see if he can do it on a consistent basis or if this was just opening night enthusiasm. The Heat have a number of options should he falter in Shabazz Napier and Mario Chalmers so Cole is still a risky option.
Dwyane Wade, G10/29/2014 10:26:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Dwyane Wade hit some big shots down the stretch, and helped Miami beat Washington in the season opener.
Insight: He shot 8-of-16 for 21 points, made two 3-pointers, and had two steals. Owners need to be aware that Wade will probably not suit up every game, but if he posts numbers like tonight's, then he will be in line for a nice season.
Chris Bosh, C/PF10/29/2014 10:24:00 PM
Description: Heat forward Chris Bosh played extremely well in first post-Lebron James game.
Insight: He had 26 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block, and four 3-pointers. Pretty impressive, and there is no reason to think this will not continue.

Description: Heat shooting guard Danny Granger is no longer a fantasy stud.
Insight: He has been in slow decline for a few years, and now at 31-years-old, he is simply a hanicap to Luol Deng.
Chris Andersen, F/C10/27/2014 5:15:00 PM
Description: Heat center Chris Andersen is still relevant in deep fantasy leagues.
Insight: Even at 35-years-old, Andersen posted career numbers last season in points, rebounds, blocks and field goal percentage. Andersen is worth drafting in deep leagues even though he is 36.
Josh McRoberts, F10/27/2014 5:13:00 PM
Description: Heat power forward Josh McRoberts is capable of putting up solid fantasy numbers this season.
Insight: McRoberts signed with Miami to be a rotational support player behind LeBron James, so now he will see more chances. He could average 12 PPG, 3.5 APG, 7.5 RPG, and over one 3-pointer per game this season.
Chris Bosh, C10/27/2014 5:05:00 PM
Description: Heat forward Chris Bosh is due for a big season with the Heat.
Insight: Bosh was a fantasy stud with Toronto five years ago but was the third-option when he arrived in Miami. Now he is the No. 1 guy again with better peices than he had with the Raptors. Bosh is only 30 and is fresher than most 30-year-olds due to his lack of use the last half decade.
Mario Chalmers, G10/27/2014 5:01:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Mario Chalmers will be motivated to play well this season since he is in a contract year.
Insight: Chalmers could set career highs in 3-pointers, assists and steals without LeBron James on the roster, but his ceiling is lower than ever with Dwyane Wade, Shabazz Napier and Norris Cole all in the back court.
Dwyane Wade, G10/27/2014 4:58:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Dwyane Wade has more miles on his body than a traditional 33-year old.
Insight: Wade will turn 33 this season, and he has logged 26,331 minutes in his career. Wade said he would like to play in at least 75 games this season, but he has only reached that total five times in his 11-year career. Wade will be a solid fantasy contributor this season, but don't grab him in the second round thinking you are getting the future Hall-of-Fame version of Wade.
Norris Cole, G10/27/2014 4:51:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Norris Cole is no better than a backup fantasy player for this upcoming season.
Insight: Cole will have a hard time receiving minutes with veteran Mario Chalmers and rookie first-round pick Shabazz Napier ready to crack the starting lineup. Oh, and Miami still has that Dwayne Wade guy. Cole might be more valuable if, or rather when, Wade goes down with an injury.
Ray Allen, G10/10/2014 8:39:00 PM
Description: Ray Allen will likely wait until January or even the All-Star Break to sign with a team according to NBC Sports.
Insight: It sounds like Allen is pulling a Roger Clemens, waiting until halfway through the season to see which teams are ready to make a playoff run and where he would fit the best. That's great for Allen, but it makes him fantasy irrelevant.
Greg Oden, C8/7/2014 10:02:00 AM
Description: Free agent center Greg Oden was arrested Thursday on " two preliminary charges of misdemeanor battery after allegedly punching a woman," according to a Sports Illustrated report.
Insight: If any team was thinking about signing Oden to a contract this should end those thoughts.
Greg Oden, C8/5/2014 3:55:00 PM
Description: Centers Greg Oden, Andrew Bynum, Emeka Okafor and Andray Blatche will visit the Los Angeles Clippers this week, according to a Triity Miller report.
Insight: Is that all that's available ... broken down big men? Three of the four did less than nothing in 2013 and only Blatche (11.2 ppg, 5.3 rpg with Brooklyn) would have any fantasy value.
Dwyane Wade, G7/15/2014 3:38:00 PM
Description: Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade has signed a deal to stay with Miami.
Insight: A healthy Wade would be a fantasy stud with LeBron James back home in Cleveland, but fantasy owners will have to weight what a "part-time" Wade is worth. He's likely to continue the strategy of not playing any back-to-back games to save his gimpy knees.
Mario Chalmers, G7/13/2014 8:20:00 PM
Description: Mario Chalmers tweeted that he has agreed to re-sign with the Heat.
Insight: Chalmers averaged 9.8 points, 4.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.2 threes last season. Chalmers could have a larger ball-handling role in 2014-15 now that LeBron James is gone. Of course, he also may lose the starting point guard job to rookie Shabazz Napier.
Chris Bosh, C7/11/2014 7:42:00 PM
Description: According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, Chris Bosh is finalizing a five-year, $118 million contract with the Heat.
Insight: After LeBron James announced he was going back to the Cavaliers on Friday, Bosh was expected to sign with the Rockets, but the Heat were able to give him an extra $32 million. With James gone, Bosh will handle a much larger offensive workload than he did in the past few years.
Danny Granger, SF7/7/2014 10:20:00 PM
Description: The Heat have agreed to a two-year contract with Danny Granger, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
Insight: Granger is a high-character guy who will bring veteran experience to the Heat. However, he's not going to carry fantasy value.
Josh McRoberts, F7/7/2014 10:16:00 PM
Description: The Heat have agreed to a reported four-year contract with power forward Josh McRoberts, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
Insight: Charlotte drafted Cody Zeller fourth overall last season but then started McRoberts 78 games. McRoberts contributed 8.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.3 threes, 0.7 steals and 0.6 blocks while averaging 30.3 minutes per game. He could end up starting at the four for Miami, but who his teammates will be is up in the air.
Chris Bosh, C6/29/2014 7:15:00 PM
Description: Chris Bosh informed Miami that he will opt out of his contract to become and unrestricted free agent, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.
Insight: Bosh has joined LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, who already opted out. It would be a surprise if any of the three players left the Heat.
Ray Allen, G6/24/2014 9:02:00 PM
Description: Ray Allen is "leaning toward" coming back for another season. SOURCE: ESPN
Insight: Why not? He can still shoot. Allen, who is set to become a free agent on July 1st, will turn 39 later this offseason.
LeBron James, F6/24/2014 2:57:00 PM
Description: LeBron James' agent has informed the Heat that James will opt out of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent, according to Chris Broussard of ESPN.
Insight: Look for LeBron to handle his free agency this offseason much better than he did in 2010. The Heat, Bulls, Lakers, Rockets and Cavaliers are among the teams expected to make a serious run at signing him.
LeBron James, F6/21/2014 3:50:00 PM
Description: Houston's top priority this offseason is to land LeBron James in free agency. SOURCE: Howard Beck, Bleacher Report
Insight: A frontcourt of James, Chandler Parsons and Dwight Howard would instantly make the Rockets championship contenders. Of course, LeBron would have to opt out of his current deal with Miami to make that happen. The deadline for LeBron to opt in or out is June 30th. Though Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh seem content to stay in Miami, James has been noncommital about his future. The Cavs, Clippers and Mavericks could also make a run at James if he decides to test the open market.
Dwyane Wade, G6/17/2014 8:59:00 PM
Description: ESPN's Tom Haberstroh thinks the Heat should have Dwyane Wade come off the bench next season.
Insight: Of course, that's assuming Wade stays in Miami. Remember, Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh can all opt out of their contracts this summer. Haberstroh's suggestion makes plenty of sense. Miami's second unit didn't contribute very much this postseason and at age 32, it would be wise to scale back Wade's minutes. Of course, the decision is up to Erik Spoelstra, who has only used Wade as a reserve once in six seasons.
Chris Andersen, F/C6/16/2014 9:40:00 PM
Description: Heat center Chris Andersen has decided to opt out of his contract. SOURCE: Yahoo Sports
Insight: Andersen had one year remaining but now he'll become a free agent. Birdman contributed 6.6 ppg this season, his highest average since 2005. Despite opting out, we'd expect him back with the Heat next year on a new deal.
Ray Allen, G6/16/2014 9:30:00 PM
Description: A decision on Ray Allen's future should come in the next few days. SOURCE: Marc Spears, Yahoo Sports
Insight: Even if Allen does play another season, it may not be with the Heat as he enters free agency. Allen had a rough game Sunday in the season finale, shooting just 1-of-8 for five points in 31 minutes of action.
LeBron James, F6/15/2014 11:07:00 PM
Description: Miami forward LeBron James gave a strong effort in Game 5 but it wasn't enough as the Spurs won 104-87 to capture their fifth NBA title.
Insight: His teammates didn't show much this series but LeBron (31 points, ten rebounds, five assists) still averaged an incredible 28.2 ppg on 57.1 percent shooting. This loss will sting but James and the Heat should compete for a title again next year as long as the team keep its core together.
Ray Allen, G6/15/2014 8:04:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Ray Allen will start Game 5 against San Antonio on Sunday night. SOURCE: Ethan Skolnick, Bleacher Report
Insight: Mario Chalmers, who has struggled this series, will come off the bench. We suspect LeBron James will be running the point. If the Spurs win tonight, this could be Allen's final game in the NBA. The veteran hinted at retirement earlier this week.
Ray Allen, G6/13/2014 8:48:00 PM
Description: Miami sixth man Ray Allen hinted he could retire after this season. SOURCE: Boston Globe
Insight: Allen is still an effective long-range shooter but at age 38, he may decide he wants to spend more time with his family. When Allen does end his career, he'll retire as the the greatest three-point shooter in NBA history.
LeBron James, F6/8/2014 11:09:00 PM
Description: Heat forward LeBron James was the best player on the court Sunday night in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
Insight: James wasn't able to finish Game 1 because of cramping but he never faltered on Sunday, scoring 35 points on 14-of-22 shooting. His assist to Chris Bosh on a corner three with 1:17 remaining sealed the win for Miami. The series is tied 1-1 heading into Tuesday's Game 3.
LeBron James, F6/6/2014 9:29:00 AM
Description: Miami forward LeBron James led all scorers with 25 points in Game 1 of the Finals Thursday but cramped up in the fourth quarter and missed time down the stretch.
Insight: The exhaustion was likely brought on by a broken air conditioner, which caused temperatures in the arena to reach up to 90 degrees. James was given an IV after the game and left the arena under his own power so it appears he'll be ready for Game 2 on Sunday. Without James, the Spurs were able to finish the game on a 16-3 run. The Heat still haven't won a Game 1 on the road since LeBron James joined the team in 2010.
Shane Battier, F6/2/2014 8:42:00 PM
Description: Shane Battier will join ESPN as a college basketball analyst when he retires at the end of the season. SOURCE: Jeff Heisenberg, Yahoo Sports
Insight: Battier is trying to go out on top by winning his third championship. He hasn't been much of a factor this postseason, contributing just 3.1 ppg in 12 contests.
Chris Andersen, F/C5/30/2014 8:14:00 PM
Description: Miami center Chris Andersen (thigh) is active for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Friday night, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.
Insight: It's unclear how much he'll play after he missed Games 4 and 5 and the shootaround Friday morning. Rashard Lewis played 31 minutes and had 18 points with six threes in Game 5 and will start again.
Chris Andersen, F/C5/30/2014 3:22:00 PM
Description: Miami center Chris Andersen didn't play Wednesday in Game 5 versus Indiana and missed Friday morning shootaround so he must be categorized as doubtful for Game 6 against the Pacers.
Insight: He's been dealing with a thigh injury. Rashard Lewis had 18 points Wednesday night and should expect to see another heavy workload if Birdman sits out.
Chris Bosh, C5/28/2014 8:56:00 PM
Description: Chris Bosh is willing to take a paycut if it keeps him in Miami next season. SOURCE: Brian Windhorst, ESPN
Insight: Bosh, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James can all opt out of their contracts this summer. There's been some buzz about James possibly leaving Miami for his hometown Cavaliers but ultimately we'd expect all three to return to South Beach next season.
Chris Andersen, F/C5/28/2014 8:42:00 PM
Description: The Birdman will not take flight. Miami center Chris Andersen won't play Wednesday in Game 5 versus Indiana. SOURCE: Barry Jackson, Miami Herald
Insight: This will be the second game he's missed with a thigh injury. Rashard Lewis, who is still scoreless for the series, should see a heavy workload in Birdman's absence.
Ray Allen, G5/28/2014 8:38:00 PM
Description: Heat shooting guard Ray Allen is active for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Pacers. SOURCE: Barry Jackson, Miami Herald
Insight: Allen tweaked his hip in Game 4 but was given the go ahead after making it through his usual pre-game routine without any issues. He's averaged 10 ppg on 40.7 percent shooting for the series. Allen has been particularly effective from long range, making 44.4 percent of his shots from that distance over the last four games.
Chris Andersen, F/C5/28/2014 2:18:00 PM
Description: Heat center Chris Andersen missed Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals due to a thigh contusion and he'll be a game-time decision for Game 5 after sitting out Wednesday's shootaround., according to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.
Insight: Andersen suffered the injury in Game 3 when he collided with teammate Dwyane Wade. He's played 23.7 minutes per game in the series and averaged 6.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.0 blocks.
Ray Allen, G5/28/2014 2:15:00 PM
Description: Miami guard Ray Allen (hip) will be a game-time decision for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals Wednesday night, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.
Insight: Allen didn't participate in the shootaround. He bruised his hip when he attempted to run through a screen in Game 4 but returned to the game. He has averaged 10 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 threes per game in the series, which the Heat lead 3-1.
Chris Andersen, F/C5/26/2014 8:02:00 PM
Description: Heat center Chris Andersen will miss Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals due to a thigh contusion, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.
Insight: Andersen suffered the injury in Game 3. He's played 23.7 minutes per game in the series and averaged 6.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.0 blocks. Rashard Lewis and Udonis Haslem will have to pick up the slack.
Ray Allen, G5/25/2014 9:31:00 AM
Description: Ray Allen was quiet in the first three quarters but he came on strong late as the Heat won for the second time in as many games Saturday against Indiana.
Insight: Allen (16 points) didn't even attempt a three-pointer in the first 36 minutes but he made all four of his trifectas in the fourth to finish with his highest point total of the series. If Allen keeps hitting his threes, Miami is going to be tough to beat.
Dwyane Wade, GHot5/25/2014 9:18:00 AM
Description: Miami guard Dwyane Wade blew up for 23 points in Saturday's win over the Pacers.
Insight: He's shot better than 50 percent from the field in each of his last five games while scoring 20 points or more in five of his last six. Though usually a below average three-point shooter, Wade has made three of his five attempts so far in this series.
LeBron James, FHot5/25/2014 9:12:00 AM
Description: Heat forward LeBron James did it all Saturday in a win over Indiana.
Insight: The Pacers jumped out to an early 14-point lead but it was all Miami after that. James, who seems incapable of turning in a bad performance at this point, delivered 26 points, five boards, seven assists and four steals. He left briefly with a leg cramp but still logged a team-high 40 minutes. The Heat can extend its advantage Monday night in Game 4.
Greg Oden, C5/24/2014 7:24:00 PM
Description: Heat center Greg Oden is expected to be active for Saturday's Game 3 against Indiana. SOURCE: Ira Winderman, South Florida Sun-Sentinel
Insight: He hasn't played yet in the postseason. If Oden (2.9 ppg, 2.3 rpg in 23 games this season) does see the court on Saturday it will only be for a couple of minutes.
Dwyane Wade, GHot5/21/2014 9:35:00 AM
Description: Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade had another efficient game Tuesday against the Pacers.
Insight: Wade converted ten of his 16 field goal attempts for a team-high 23 points. He's been a beast over his last three games, averaging 26 ppg on impressive 61.5 percent shooting. Erik Spoelstra's decision to rest Wade at the end of the regular season seems to be paying off.
Chris Bosh, CCold5/20/2014 11:46:00 AM
Description: Heat center Chris Bosh has seen his scoring average drop a couple points in the playoffs - from 16.2 ppg to 14.0 ppg.
Insight: Bosh is taking one less shot per game and his shooting percentage is down as well despite playing a couple extra minutes per game.
LeBron James, FHot5/20/2014 11:43:00 AM
Description: Heat forward LeBron James has pushed his scoring average up more than two points during the playoff run from 27.1 ppg to 29.5 ppg.
Insight: As James' scoring average has gone up, his assist totals have dropped from a regular season average of 6.3 apg to 4.7 apg in 10 playoff games. With Miami's season hanging in the balance, it's no surprise James has taken on more of the scoring burden.
Dwyane Wade, GHot5/18/2014 7:16:00 PM
Description: Miami guard Dwyane Wade dropped 27 points on the Pacers Sunday in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Insight: After coasting through the first round and a half, Wade has been brilliant over his last two outings, averaging 27.5 ppg on 61.1 percent shooting. Lance Stephenson said before the series that Wade's knee wouldn't hold up but it looked just fine in Game 1. We'll see what Wade does for an encore Tuesday in Game 2.
LeBron James, F5/18/2014 7:09:00 PM
Description: Miami forward LeBron James totaled 25 points, ten boards, five assists and three steals Sunday against the Pacers.
Insight: In terms of efficiency, it was a pretty typical outing for James, who shot 11-for-18 from the floor while commiting four turnovers. What stood out were his two free throws, the fewest James has attempted in a game since May 6th versus Brooklyn. James will need to be more aggressive on Tuesday if the Heat want to even the series.
LeBron James, FHot5/14/2014 9:51:00 PM
Description: Heat forward LeBron James helped Miami close out Brooklyn with 29 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two threes in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals Wednesday night.
Insight: James didn't have a great shooting night (6-of-14), but he made 15-of-17 from the free-throw line. The 29-year-old averaged 30 points per game during the series, which Miami won 4-1.
Dwyane Wade, G5/14/2014 9:49:00 PM
Description: Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade had 28 points on 10-of-18 shooting in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals Wednesday night.
Insight: Miami beat Brooklyn, 96-94, to win the series. The Heat will move on to the Eastern Conference Finals for the fourth straight season. Wade has averaged 17.9 ppg in these playoffs.
LeBron James, F5/12/2014 10:45:00 PM
Description: Miami forward LeBron James tied a playoff career-high with 49 points Monday in a win over Brooklyn.
Insight: That's the most points the Nets have ever allowed to a single player in a postseason game. LeBron had a chance for 50 but he missed his second free throw with one second left in the fourth quarter. The Heat can close out the series Wednesday in Game 5.
Chris Andersen, F/C5/6/2014 10:44:00 PM
Description: Heat center Chris Andersen left Tuesday's game with a right knee contusion.
Insight: Andersen's X-rays came back negative. "He hit the floor three-to-four times," coach Erik Spoelstra said. "He's in a bath of ice now, we'll see how he responds over the next couple of days."
LeBron James, FHot5/6/2014 10:10:00 PM
Description: The Heat took Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Nets Tuesday night behind LeBron James' 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting.
Insight: Miami went 0-4 against Brooklyn in the regular season but took care of business Tuesday. The Heat shot 56.8 percent from the field and 14-of-16 from the foul line to win 107-86.
Shane Battier, F5/6/2014 7:03:00 PM
Description: Miami forward Shane Battier (flu) started Game 1 of the Heat's second-round playoff series against the Nets on Tuesday.
Insight: Battier played just two minutes total in the team's first-round sweep of the Bobcats, but the Nets use a smaller lineup than Charlotte with Paul Pierce at the four.
LeBron James, FHot4/28/2014 9:40:00 PM
Description: Heat forward LeBron James had 31 points, nine assists, seven rebounds, three steals and one block in 43 minutes Monday to help Miami complete a sweep of the Charlotte Bobcats in its first-round playoff series.

LeBron James, F4/26/2014 10:22:00 PM
Description: Miami forward LeBron James shredded the Bobcats for 30 points Saturday in Game 3.
Insight: In seven games against Charlotte in 2013-14, James has averaged 34.3 ppg on 60.7 percent shooting. Miami will go for the series sweep Monday night in Game 4.
Mario Chalmers, G4/23/2014 6:02:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Mario Chalmers (bruised knee) will play in Game 2 against the Bobcats on Wednesday, according to Ethan J. Skolnick of Bleacher Report.
Insight: Chalmers had seven points, three rebounds, two assists, one steal and one three in 25 minutes in Miami's Game 1 win.
Mario Chalmers, G4/23/2014 1:10:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Mario Chalmers went through the team's walkthrough on Wednesday but remains a game-time decision tonight against Charlotte. SOURCE: South Florida Sun-Sentinel
Insight: The reality is, Miami doesn't need Chalmers (9.8 ppg, 4.9 apg) to beat the seventh-seeded Bobcats. It might ultimately benefit the team more to have him healthy for the next round when the Heat are likely to face a much tougher opponent. Norris Cole would fill in at point guard if Chalmers sits this one out.
Mario Chalmers, G4/22/2014 7:24:00 PM
Description: Miami point guard Mario Chalmers is questionable for Wednesday's Game 2 versus Charlotte. SOURCE: Miami Herald
Insight: He was limited in practice Tuesday because of a bruised knee. If Chalmers can't go, Norris Cole (6.4 ppg, 3.0 apg) would start at point guard for the Heat.
Mario Chalmers, G4/20/2014 7:31:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Mario Chalmers bruised his shin Sunday in a Game 1 win over Charlotte. SOURCE: Ethan Skolnick, Bleacher Report
Insight: Chalmers left the game briefly in the first half but returned to score seven points in 25 minutes of action. He should be fine for Game 2 on Wednesday night.
Michael Beasley, F4/16/2014 10:35:00 PM
Description: Heat forward Michael Beasley had to leave Wednesday's game against the Sixers after spraining his ankle. SOURCE: Heat on Twitter
Insight: Beasley notched eight points on 3-of-4 shooting before exiting. Consider him questionable for Miami's playoff opener against Charlotte.
Chris Andersen, F/C4/16/2014 6:32:00 PM
Description: Miami F/C Chris Andersen won't be in action Wednesday against Philadelphia. SOURCE: Keith Pompey, Philly Inquirer
Insight: Birdman is getting some much needed rest before the playoffs. His absence will open up minutes for Rashard Lewis (4.5 ppg) and Udonis Haslem (3.7 ppg) at power forward.
Mario Chalmers, G4/16/2014 6:28:00 PM
Description: Miami point guard Mario Chalmers won't play Wednesday against the Sixers. SOURCE: Keith Pompey, Philly Inquirer
Insight: He's one of three Heat starters getting the night off. Chalmers (9.8 ppg, 4.9 apg) hasn't averaged double-digit points since his rookie season and has never been a particularly appealing fantasy option.
Dwyane Wade, G4/16/2014 6:03:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Dwyane Wade will play on a minutes restriction Wednesday versus Philadelphia. SOURCE: South Florida Sun-Sentinel
Insight: We're not sure what that minutes restriction is, but it will probably be close to the 18 minutes he saw Monday against Washington. Wade (19.1 ppg, 4.7 apg, 4.5 rpg) has been in and out of the lineup for the last month because of hamstring issues.
Chris Bosh, C4/16/2014 11:38:00 AM
Description: Heat center Chris Bosh (rest) will miss the last game of the regular season on Wednesday, the team announced via Twitter.
Insight: Miami is letting Bosh rest for the playoff run. He averaged 32 minutes, 16.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, 1.0 steals and a career-high 0.9 threes per game in 79 contests.
LeBron James, F4/16/2014 11:36:00 AM
Description: Heat forward LeBron James (rest) will not play Wednesday, the team announced via Twitter.
Insight: The Heat are locked into the No. 2 seed in the East and James will rest up for the postseason. With Dwyane Wade ailing for most of the season, James carried Miami with averages of 37.7 minutes, 27.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.6 steals in 77 games. He increased his field-goal percentage for the seventh consecutive season.
Dwyane Wade, G4/14/2014 6:06:00 PM
Description: Dwyane Wade will start for the Heat on Monday against the Wizards, according to Michael Lee of the Washington Post.
Insight: Wade missed nine straight games due to a hamstring injury before returning Saturday. He had 24 points in just 23 minutes against the Hawks. Neither LeBron James nor Chris Bosh (rest) are playing, so Wade will get to experience what life was like before "The Decision" for one night.
Dwyane Wade, G4/14/2014 5:11:00 PM
Description: The Heat will rest Chris Bosh and LeBron James on Monday but shooting guard Dwyane Wade still has a chance to play. SOURCE: Miami Herald
Insight: Wade missed nine straight games due to a hamstring injury before returning Saturday. He had 24 points in just 23 minutes against the Hawks.
Chris Bosh, C4/14/2014 2:12:00 PM
Description: Heat center Chris Bosh is expected to miss Monday's game against Washington.
Insight: Bosh and James are going to rest for the playoff run. It appears Mario Chalmers, Dwyane Wade, Michael Beasley, Shane Battier and Udonis Haslem will start on Monday.
LeBron James, F4/14/2014 2:10:00 PM
Description: Heat forward LeBron James will sit out Monday's game against Washington.
Insight: This is simply a matter of resting for the playoffs. James (27.1 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 6.4 apg, 1.6 spg) is healthy, but the chances of catching Indiana in the standings for the top seed are small.
Dwyane Wade, G4/12/2014 7:22:00 PM
Description: Miami guard Dwyane Wade will start Saturday against Atlanta. SOURCE: Heat on Twitter
Insight: He's sat out the last nine games with a strained hamstring. Flash has not played against the Hawks yet this season, though he averaged 23 ppg against them in 2012-13.
Chris Andersen, F/C4/11/2014 7:24:00 PM
Description: The Heat will have PF/C Chris Andersen (back, knee) available for Friday's game, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.
Insight: Andersen missed two of the last three games with back and knee issues. He'll provide energy for Miami but isn't much of a fantasy option.
Chris Andersen, F/C4/11/2014 5:49:00 PM
Description: Miami PF/C Chris Andersen (back, knee) will be a game-time decision Friday, according to Shandel Richardson of the Sun Sentinel.
Insight: Andersen missed two of the last three games with back and knee issues.

Description: Miami forward Udonis Haslem (illness) is expected to play Friday, according to Shandel Richardson of the Sun Sentinel.

Dwyane Wade, G4/11/2014 5:46:00 PM
Description: Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said Dwyane Wade (hamstring) will miss Friday's game, according to Shandel Richardson of the Sun Sentinel.
Insight: Heat coach Erik Spoelstra continues to say that Wade is close to returning, but he'll miss his ninth straight game and 28th game of the season Friday.
Greg Oden, C4/10/2014 6:27:00 PM
Description: Brian Windhorst of ESPN doesn't think Heat center Greg Oden (back) will be back this season.

Insight: Even at less than 100 percent James is a fantasy stud. He put up 32 points, seven rebounds and eight assists while dealing with a sore back on Monday. If he plays, he starts.
Chris Andersen, F/C3/31/2014 10:03:00 PM
Description: Heat PF/C Chris Anderson had 13 points, seven rebounds and two blocks in 25 minutes Monday.
Insight: Andersen had his best month of the season in March and has averaged 7.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.1 blocks over his last 16 games.
Mario Chalmers, G3/31/2014 7:10:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Mario Chalmers (quad) will start Monday, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.
Insight: The Heat have been without Dwyane Wade, Ray Allen and Chalmers for the past couple of games, so Toney Douglas, James Jones and Norris Cole have been playing big minutes. Douglas will remain in the starting lineup Monday with Wade still out, while Jones will move back to the bench.
Greg Oden, C3/31/2014 6:04:00 PM
Description: Heat center Greg Oden (back spasms) will sit out Monday against Toronto.

Insight: James had scored "just" 20.7 ppg on .455 shooting since his 61-point game on March 3, which was not coincidentally the last time Dwyane Wade sat out. Wade was absent Tuesday, giving James free reign of the offense again.
Greg Oden, C3/18/2014 7:48:00 PM
Description: Heat center Greg Oden will remain in the starting lineup until further notice. SOURCE: Rob Mahoney, Sports Illustrated
Insight: With Oden (2.7 ppg, 2.2 rpg) at the five, Chris Bosh can return to his natural position at power forward. Oden's comeback has been one of the league's feel good stories this season. He's still not a fantasy option.

Description: Miami guard Dwyane Wade will be held out of Tuesday's game, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel. Toney Douglas will start.

Insight: James needed one more rebound and three more assists for a triple-double. He probably would have gotten there if he had played the fourth quarter. James has averaged 25.5 ppg since returning from a broken nose.
