Insight: He scored a team-high 24 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the floor and 7-of-14 shooting from the line. The free-throw percentage is surprising, but Hayward also had eight rebounds, three assists, and four steals. He did have an ugly eight turnovers as well.
Description: Jazz point guard Trey Burke had a solid game versus New Orleans.
Insight: Burke was 8-of-12 from the field, 2-of-3 from the line, and 2-of-5 from beyond the arc for 20 points. He also had four assists, one block, and four turnovers. Owners need his assist-to-turnover ratio to improve.

It was his third 30-point game of the season, and Hayward is now averaging 19.1 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 4.3 apg, 1.4 spg, while shooting 48 percent from the floor.
Description: Jazz point guard Trey Burke had an awful night against the Warriors on Friday.
Insight: He shot 1-of-8 from the field and finished with just two points. He did manage five assists and three rebounds but also turned it over three times. And for those into innovative basketball stats, the Jazz were minus-28 with Burke on the court.
Description: In case you hadn't noticed, Jazz guard Alec Burks has hauled in 24 rebounds over the past two games.
Insight: Double-digit rebounding guards don't come around very often. It appears his coach challenged him to be more aggressive and the results are stunning. Added to his 14.8 ppg and 3.0 apg, if he can keep it up, Burks could turn out to be a fantasy stud.
Description: Jazz point guard Trey Burke nearly posted a double-double in Tuesday's win over the Thunder.
Insight: He had 17 points, nine assists, one rebound, one steal, one block, and one turnover. Burke needs to get going for him to be more fantasy relevant, as he is averaging 10.5 ppg, 5.7 apg, and shooting 33 percent from the field.
Description: Jazz guard Alec Burks made fantasy owners happy on Tuesday night.
Insight: He was 5-of-8 from the field, 8-of-9 from the line, and 2-of-3 from downtown for 20 points. Burks also had 14 rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks, and three turnovers. Owners should not expect him to have double-figure rebounds very often, but will take it nonetheless.
Description: Jazz guard Alec Burks had a double-double on Saturday against the Raptors.
Insight: That doesn't really mean Burks had a great game. He had the weakest double-double a player can have with 10 points and 10 rebounds, and he shot just 4-for-11 from the field and 1-for-4 at the free-throw line.

Description: Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward had 12 points and five rebounds as he had the best statistical night of any Jazz player.
Insight: Hayward shot just 3-of-9 from the field, including 2-of-7 from the 3-point line. He did sink all four of his free-throw shots. Alec Burks led the Jazz in scoring with 14 points and Enes Kanter grabbed a team-high 10 boards, but Hayward had the best of both worlds with 12 and five.
Description: Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward had a double-double on Saturday to help Utah defeat Phoenix, 118-91.
Insight: Hayward scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He also had three assists and a steal. Hayward scored 24 points in the first two games combined and being Utah lost those two games and won when he was more invovled, perhaps Utah asks Hayward to do a little more on offense.
Description: Jazz power forward Derrick Favors had the game of his life on Saturday.
Insight: Favors scored a career-high 32 points in the 119-91 victory over the Suns. He made 12-of-22 shots and 8-of-9 attempts at the line. Favors also had nine rebounds, two steals, two blocks and an assisst. He has turned in three great games in the first week and has certainly raised eyebrows among fantasy owners.
Description: There is too much uncertainty regarding Jazz guard dante Exum, heading into the fantasy basketball season.
Insight: With owners not knowing how many minutes Exum will be getting each night, it would be smart to leave him undrafted. However, keep an eye on his production, as Exum could be worth a waiver move, as the season progresses.
Description: Jazz point guard Trey Burke will look to improve upon his rookie season.
Insight: He had solid averages of 12.8 points per game and 5.7 assists per game, but Burke shot only 38 percent from the field. Owners should target him towards the end of drafts, knowing there is potential for improved numbers.
Description: Jazz guard Alec Burks should be targeted towards the end of fantasy drafts.
Insight: He should give owners production in the points per game department, as he averaged 14.0 last season. However, none of his other numbers really stand out, making Burks a one-trick pony heading into the season.
Description: Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward should be line for a breakout season.
Insight: He averaged a career-best 16.2 points per game, 5.2 assists per game, 5.1 rebounds per game, and 1.4 steals per game. Hayward should be right around his career-average of .365 from three-point land, and with all of this being said, owners need to target him in the early-to-middle rounds of fantasy drafts.
Description: Jazz center Enes Kanter will look to build off a solid 2013-14 campaign.
Insight: He averaged a career-high 12.3 points per game last season, along with 7.5 rebounds per game. Playing at the center position, owners would like to see more production in the rebounding department, along with his ability to block shots (0.5 BPG last season). Kanter should be shooting around 50 percent from the field, and will not kill you from the free throw line (73% last season), and as a result owners should target him towards the end of their drafts.
Description: Utah power forward Derrick Favors is looking to build off his career-best season.
Insight: He averaged a career-high in points (13.3 PPG), rebounds (8.7 RPG), assists (1.2 APG), and steals per game (1.0) last season, and at only 23-years-old is destined to improve on those numbers. He has a career .506 field goal percentage, along with a career-average of 1.3 blocks per game. Favors should be going around the fifth or sixth round of drafts, and owners should not be afraid to pick this potential breakout candidate. He also will have eligibility at the center position as well.
Description: According to Chris Sheridan of SheridanHoops.com, Gordon Hayward could be the next Team USA cut.
Insight: Sheridan wrote, "Of all the bubble guys, he (Hayward) did the least to distinguish himself." Hayward scored four points and had two steals on Wednesday against Dominican Republic. Andre Drummond, Damian Lillard, DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Korver, and Chandler Parsons join Hayward on the roster bubble as coach Mike Krzyzewski and his staff trim the roster from 16 to 12. Team USA heads to the World Cup of Basketball on Saturday.
Description: According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Jazz are prepared to match the Hornets max offer sheet to restricted free agent Gordon Hayward.

Hayward was one of seven players to average 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game last season (LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Joakim Noah, Nicolas Batum and Michael Carter-Williams were the others) and one of five with at least 14 ppg, 5.0 rpg, and 5.0 apg.
Description: Jazz center Enes Kanter collected 15 points and 19 rebounds Tuesday in a loss to Dallas.
Insight: That's Kanter's highest rebounding total of the season. While many teams will be resting their starters down the stretch, Utah's rotation shouldn't see any sweeping changes over the final four games of the season. Make sure to have Kanter (12.1 ppg, 7.3 rpg) in your starting lineup Friday against Portland.
Description: Utah center Derrick Favors took advantage of Anthony Davis' absence Friday to post 18 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks, two steals and two assists in 31 minutes.
Insight: Davis suffered an ankle injury after just four minutes of play and Favors easily handled Greg Stiemsma, Jeff Withey and Alexis Ajinca. Favors has scored three double-doubles in his last four games and picked up 13 blocks and seven steals in that span.
Description: Utah guard Alec Burks (ankle) will sit out Friday, according to Aaron Falk of the Salt Lake Tribune.
Insight: Burks is dealing with a sprained left ankle and will miss his fourth straight game. With Burks out, the Jazz have just played their starters more minutes rather than giving his playing time to someone on the bench. Prior to the injury, Burks had scored double-digit points in 20 straight games while averaging 28.4 mpg and 15.8 ppg in that span.
Description: Utah guard Alec Burks (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game, according to Jazz announcer David Locke.

Description: Jazz PF/C Enes Kanter has averaged 37 minutes per game the last two games and put up double-doubles in both.
Insight: Utah has started Marvin Williams at power forward most of the season, but Kanter has started the last two. With 12 games left, there's no reason for the Jazz not to see what they have in the 21-year-old Kanter, who has averaged 29.2 minutes, 13.4 points and 8.8 rebounds over his last 19 games.
Description: Utah power forward Marvin Williams will return to the starting lineup Monday against the Rockets, according to Jody Genessy of the Deseret News.
Insight: He sat out Friday because of a lower back injury and came off the bench Sunday. The team has been hesitant to hand over the starting job to 21-year-old Enes Kanter (12.2 ppg, 6.7 rpg) and instead has started Williams (9.6 ppg, 5.2 rpg) in 46 games.
Description: Utah power forward Marvin Williams will play Sunday, according to Jody Genessy of the Deseret News.
Insight: He sat out Friday because of a lower back injury. Williams (9.6 ppg, 5.2 rpg) will come off the bench in his return but coach Ty Corbin said he could swap Williams and Enes Kanter when opponents start a stretch four. There's a chance that Kanter will start most of the games for the rest of the season, however.
Description: Utah power forward Marvin Williams is listed as probable ahead of Sunday's game with San Antonio. SOURCE: Aaron Falk, Salt Lake Tribune
Insight: He sat out Friday because of a lower back injury. Williams (9.6 ppg, 5.2 rpg) is shooting just 37.5 percent from the field in seven games this month. That's his lowest percentage since January 2013 (33.8).

Description: Jazz guard Alec Burks has scored double-digit points in 14 straight games and 23 of his last 26.
Insight: Burks has been good for 16.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 0.8 steals per game over his last 26 games despite coming off the bench in 21 of them. He had 19 points (three threes), two assists and two steals Saturday against the Sixers.

Insight: Kanter put up 15.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game from Jan. 25 to Feb. 22 while Derrick Favors dealt with a hip injury, but prior to going off Monday he had averaged just 22.7 minutes, 8.5 points and 3.8 rebounds in four games since Favors returned to the lineup. The Bucks led by 28 going into the fourth quarter and Favors only played 19 minutes in the game, allowing Kanter to get extra playing time.
Description: Utah center Derrick Favors played 32 minutes Friday against the Cavaliers, his most in three games since returning from a hip injury.
Insight: Favors didn't do much in those minutes, however, posting eight points on 3-of-9 shooting, three rebounds, two blocks and two steals. He averaged 27.5 minutes, 17.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg and 2.5 bpg the previous two games.
Description: Utah center Derrick Favors expects to return Monday against Boston. He's been out with a strained hip. SOURCE: Gary Washburn, Boston Globe
Insight: Favors (12.9 ppg, 9.0 rpg) will probably be on a minutes restriction so fantasy owners may want to wait a game or two before starting him. He had ten points and 14 rebounds against the Celtics when he played them earlier this year.
Description: Jazz center Derrick Favors Friday (hip) will miss Saturday's game, according to Aaron Falk of the Salt Lake Tribune.
Insight: Favors has been dealing with an injured hip since January and will miss his seventh game in the last 13 Saturday. Enes Kanter has averaged 34.5 minutes, 21.5 points, 10 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 blocks the last two games.
Description: Jazz center Derrick Favors (hip) will be a game-time decision Wednesday, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

The veteran has started all 52 of the games he has played this season and is averaging 26.8 minutes, 10 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game. Gordon Hayward, Alec Burks and Marvin Williams would absorb his minutes if he cannot play.
Description: Jazz shooting guard Gordon Hayward has made just 31.6 percent of his field-goal attempts and averaged 10.9 ppg over his last seven games.
Insight: He has scored in single figures in four of the past five games. He's only shooting 40.8 percent from the field this season but still has plenty of fantasy value due to his averages of 16.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.4 steals, 1.2 threes, 0.6 blocks and .833 free-throw percentage.
Description: Jazz center Enes Kanter was benched in favor of Rudy Gobert Monday against Toronto after struggling on defense against Jonas Valanciunas. SOURCE: Salt Lake Tribune
Insight: Kanter played just 5:29 in the second half. "Whatever it was, I didn’t think Enes had the energy," Corbin said. "... Valanciunas got going early on him and [on offense] we weren’t able to get the ball where he wanted it." The Jazz have needed more from Kanter lately with Derrick Favors, Marvin Williams and Jeremy Evans dealing with injuries. He has averaged 13.9 points and 6.9 rebounds despite playing just 23.5 minutes over his last 16 games.
Description: Jazz center Enes Kanter went off for 23 points and 14 rebounds Saturday in a loss to the Clippers.
Insight: What's significant is that Kanter was back in the starting lineup after coming off the bench for most of the last month. The talented 21-year-old could be ready to turn a corner. Fantasy owners should keep an eye out for Kanter (12.0 ppg, 6.2 rpg).
Description: Utah guard Trey Burke (illness) will start Friday against the Warriors, according to Jody Genessy of the Deseret News.
Insight: Burke missed Thursday's practice due to a stomach virus but is good to go. Like any rookie he's been up and down, but is averaging 13.3 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 5.7 apg because he's received plenty of chances.

Insight: Williams' surgically repaired Achilles is sore. He's only averaging 21.6 minutes, 7.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.1 threes over the last eight games and can be ignored in most fantasy leagues. Jeremy Evans will start at power forward.
Description: Jazz center Derrick Favors (hip) will not play Friday against the Warriors.
Insight: Favors missed a game on Jan. 21 with the injury but had recorded double-doubles in two straight games so it's a surprise he'll have to miss this one. With Marvin Williams also out, Enes Kanter will have to play big minutes.
Description: Jazz small forward Richard Jefferson is dealing with a stomach virus and will be a game-time decision Friday against Golden State.
Insight: The tanking Jazz have started the 33-year-old in all 45 games this season and he has averaged 27 minutes, 10 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.5 threes per game. If he has to miss Friday's game it would be beneficial for Alec Burks and Jeremy Evans.
Description: Jazz center Derrick Favors rested during Wednesday's practice. He's been bothered by a sore hip recently. SOURCE: Aaron Falk, Salt Lake Tribune
Insight: Favors has competed in Utah's last two games and we don't imagine the injury will be enough to sideline him Friday against Golden State. Though not spectacular in any one fantasy category, Favors has produced an impressive body of work this season (13.5 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 1.3 bpg).
Description: Jazz PF/C Derrick Favors (hip) will play Saturday against the Wizards, according to Jody Genessy of the Deseret News.
Insight: Favors missed Tuesday's game due to a hip injury but was able to participate in Saturday's shootaround. He has started all 40 of the games he has played and is averaging 31 minutes, 13.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 1.1 steals per game this season.
Description: Jazz guard Alec Burks played 29 minutes and had 18 points Tuesday despite moving back to the bench with Gordon Hayward (hip) back in the starting lineup.

Description: Jazz guard Alec Burks has averaged 23.3 ppg in three games with Gordon Hayward (hip) out of the lineup.

Description: Utah swingman Gordon Hayward (hip) will be a game-time decision Monday against the Nuggets.
Insight: Hayward suffered a strained muscle in his left hip flexor Tuesday against the Thunder and missed his first game of the season Friday. The guard/forward has taken advantage of a sizable role with the tanking Jazz to average 17.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.2 threes and 0.7 blocks in 37 games this season.
Description: Jazz G/F Gordon Hayward is questionable for Friday's game against Cleveland after injurying his hip in Tuesday's win over OKC.

Description: Jazz small forward Richard Jefferson is expected to be a game-time call Friday night against the Lakers. SOURCE: Jazz on Twitter
Insight: The 33-year-old is battling a back injury. Jefferson has posted double-digit points twice in a row after being held to single digits in his previous four outings. Even though he's getting decent playing time (26.5 mpg), we wouldn't recommend using Jefferson in fantasy.
Description: Jazz guard Alec Burks went off for 31 points in Monday' loss to Miami.
Insight: That's a new career-high for the 22-year-old. He also had seven blocks and four steals. Rookie Trey Burke may lose his spot in the starting lineup if Burks continues to outplay him (just three points in 31 minutes).
Description: Utah rookie point guard Trey Burke had 20 points and five assists Saturday against the Spurs.
Insight: Burke hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire, but he's getting a lot of chances. He's averaging 14 field goal attempts (4.3 3PA), 14.8 points on 39 percent shooting, 5.6 assists and 1.6 threes over his last 11 games.

Insight: Williams averaged 14 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.1 threes in eight games prior to missing the last four with heel inflammation. It's unclear if he'll rejoin the starting lineup in place of Enes Kanter.
Description: Utah PF/C Derrick Favors (back) should be able to play Wednesday, according to Jazz broadcaster David Locke.
Insight: Favors missed Monday's game with a llower back injury which has been troubling him for a while. When on the court he's an good fantasy option averaging 13.4 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 1.4 apg, 1.3 spg, 1.2 bpg.
Description: Utah SF/PF Marvin Williams (heel) is questionable for Monday's game against Portland.
Insight: Williams is dealing with inflammation in his surgically repaired heel, but the injury reportedly is not related to his surgery. If Williams and Derrick Favors (questionable) both sit out, the Jazz will be extremely thin up front.
Description: Utah center Enes Kanter will start Wednesday with Marvin Williams (Achilles) out.
Insight: Kanter has played just 15 minutes per game in three games since returning from an ankle injury. He has averaged 24 minutes, 8.4 points and 5.2 rebounds over his last nine games after averaging 34.5 mpg, 16.4 ppg, 7.6 rpg and 0.8 bpg over his first nine.
