Description: Suns shooting guard Shannon Brown hasn't played a single minute in any of the last 10 games.
Insight: New Suns coach Lindsey Hunter is putting his stamp on the team since he took over and Brown hasn't been a part of his plans. Goran Dragic, Kendall Marshall, Wes Johnson and P.J. Tucker have been rotation at the two-guard but only Dragic offers any fantasy value.

Description: Suns shooting guard Shannon Brown was ejected from Saturday's game after being given a flagrant-2 foul for hitting Manu Ginobili with a forearm.
Insight: Brown has had his moments as a useful fantasy guard this season but he just can't be trusted while he's coming off the bench.

1/15/2013 4:47:00 PM
Description: Suns shooting guard Shannon Brown scored 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting Monday night against Oklahoma City. It was his highest point total since Dec. 29.
Insight: Brown has started the last two games in place of the injured Jared Dudley (wrist). He is averaging 13.3 ppg as a starter this season but was inexplicably benched at the end of December in favor of P.J. Tucker. Brown only averaged 6.6 points in 21 minutes off the bench over seven games before Dudley went down, and he will likely head back to the bench when Dudley returns.

Description: Suns shooting guard Shannon Brown has failed to score a point in two of his last three games.
Insight: Brown's production has dropped off dramatically in three games since moving to the bench in favor of P.J. Tucker. The benching came even though Brown was averaging 14.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 threes in his previous 15 games.

Description: Suns shooting guard Shannon Brown will come off the bench again Wednesday after being removed from the starting lineup in place of P.J. Tucker on Dec. 31. Tucker will start with Goran Dragic, Jared Dudley, Luis Scola and Marcin Gortat on Wednesday. SOURCE: Paul Coro, Arizona Republic
Insight: Brown had zero points on 0-of-3 shooting in 17 minutes Monday. The benching was inexplicable since Brown came in having averaged 15.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.3 threes in his previous 11 games, but was in line with most of coach Alvin Gentry's lineup decisions this season.

Hot12/30/2012 1:54:00 PM
Description: Suns shooting guard Shannon Brown is averaging 14.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 threes over his last 15 games.
Insight: Those are obviously fantasy-worthy totals. Brown is seemingly locked into 30-35 minutes per game as the starting two-guard.

Hot12/20/2012 10:26:00 AM

11/5/2012 10:08:00 PM
Description: Suns guard Shannon Brown failed to hit a 3-pointer on six attempts in the first three games but he drained three Monday as part of an 18-point effort against the Heat.
Insight: Brown made 1.2 threes a game last season. He doesn't offer much else, though, so he should go unowned in most leagues.

10/19/2012 9:45:00 PM
Description: Suns guard Shannon Brown missed Friday's game against Oklahoma City to tend to his injured ankle.
Insight: Brown sprained his left ankle during Wednesday night's game in Dallas. Brown has been battling Wesley Johnson all preseason for the team's starting shooting guard position. This injury could tip the scale back in Johnson's favor.

Description: Guard Shannon Brown has agreed to a new two-year, $7 million deal to stay with Phoenix.
Insight: Brown tallied a career-best 11 ppg and made a career-high 19 starts for the Suns last season. He could have an even bigger impact on the offensive end of the floor in 2012-13 now that Steve Nash is with the Lakers.

11/16/2010 11:02:00 PM
Description: Shannon Brown has been rolling despite not getting minutes and Tuesday was no different as he had 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting with four threes and a steal.
Insight: It's hard to believe that a guy playing just 18.6 MPG has value. However, Brown is knocking down a ton of threes and adding a steal per night while providing great percentages. He is far from a must-own, but he will definitely be a monster should the Black Mamba miss time.

11/8/2010 12:04:00 PM
Description: Brown scored 15 points off the Laker bench in extended minutes in a blowout of the Blazers. He hit three threes.
Insight: Brown has hit 52.4% of his three-pointers this season and can be counted on to make some long range shots when he gets in the game. He will spell Kobe Bryant when games are out of hand. (RapidDraft.com)

10/27/2010 11:05:00 AM
Description: Brown hit four three-pointers off the Laker bench and finished with 16 points. He also nabbed four steals.
Insight: Brown is not expected to play more than 20 minutes per game, but he made the most of playing time against Houston. He only hit 32.8% of his three-pointers last year, so he has apparently worked on his stroke. (RapidDraft.com)

10/23/2010 9:01:00 AM

10/14/2010 11:02:00 AM
Description: Brown scored 17 points for the Lakers in a loss to the Kings. He was 6-for-12 from the field and perfect in five trips to the line.
Insight: Brown averaged 8.1 points off the Laker bench last year. His athleticism and defense could earn him more minutes in 2010-11. (RapidDraft.com)

8/11/2010 10:31:00 PM
Description: Shannon Brown officially signed his two-year, $4.6 million deal on Wednesday. SOURCE: LA Times
Insight: Brown recently injured his finger and the X-rays were negative. Brown will be Kobe's backup and would likely produce should something happen to the Black Mamba.

8/4/2010 10:32:00 PM
Description: Shannon Brown is expected to re-sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. SOURCE: Orange County Register
Insight: Brown would have exponentially more fantasy value in New York, but he gets the unenviable task of being Kobe Bryant's backup. Mamba has major knee concerns, which means Kobe will likely miss 10 games or so. The official word should be coming within the next week.
