Insight: Cleveland announced the extension Thursday before signing LeBron James Friday. James should help Irving become a more efficient player and draw some of the defensive pressure away from the point guard.

Insight: Irving was benched Wednesday and then played through an illness Friday against the Wizards. Sunday he looked fine, however, and managed to pour in 28 points on 9-of-17 shooting. He also dished out six assists. The five turnovers weren't pleasant, but that's to be expected when you're handling point guard duties for 40 minutes a night. Irving looks like he'll be fine going forward.
