Insight: This won't help Gentry (.280, 2 HR, 22 RBI, 24 SB for Texas in 2013) in his quest to become Oakland's everyday right fielder. He's a late round flier at best.

Description: The Rangers sent outfielder Craig Gentry to Oakland as part of a four-player swap. SOURCE: Jeff Passan, Yahoo Sports
Insight: Gentry was a solid platoon guy for Texas last season, batting .280 with 22 RBI in 246 at bats. The problem is the A's already have a guy like that in Seth Smith. Gentry is only going to see playing time if one of Oakland's starters (Yoenis Cespedes, Coco Crisp and Josh Reddick) gets injured. Until that happens, he won't have any fantasy significance.

Description: Rangers center fielder Craig Gentry has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a non-displaced fracture in his left hand.
Insight: Gentry said it should take three weeks for the hand to heal completely, according to Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He hopes to start swinging a bat in two weeks.

Description: Texas will start Craig Gentry in center field Tuesday against the Astros, according to Richard Durrett of
Insight: Gentry platooned with David Murphy last season and hit .343 with an .859 OPS and six steals against left-handers. Leonys Martin started the season opener against right-hander Bud Norris, but manager Ron Washington will go with Gentry on Tuesday even though right-hander Lucas Harrell will be on the hill.
