Boston Red Sox starter Jon Lester has 110 career wins, a no-hitter and 2.11 ERA in 76 2/3 playoff innings, but he's never been an elite fantasy pitcher. Until now. Full Story | Player Stats: Jon Lester
Description: Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left hip flexor strain. SOURCE: Patrick Saunders, Denver Post
Insight: The Rockies have been calling Tulowitzki\'s injury a quad cramp since he suffered it on Saturday while trying to beat out a hit. Injuries have been the main issue for Tulowitzki in his career -- he averaged just 110 games over the previous four seasons. Josh Rutledge will see regular playing time until Tulo returns.
Description: Cubs infielder Arismendy Alcantara has hit .286 with four doubles, a triple, a homer, six RBI, three steals and seven runs in eight games since his promotion.
Insight: Darwin Barney was designated for assignment on Tuesday, so Alcantara will be Chicago\'s starting second baseman for the remainder of 2014. He batted .307 with 46 extra-base hits (10 HR) and 21 steals in 335 at-bats for Triple-A Iowa before his call-up.
Description: Wide receiver Stevie Johnson is the third most talented receiver on the 49ers roster, but that doesn\'t mean he\'ll be the No. 3 wideout ... or even on the team.
Insight: With Anquan Boldin and Michael Crabtree ahead of him on the team\'s wide receiver depth chart, Johnson (52 catches, 597 yards, 3 TD in 12 games last season) will have to prove he\'s worth the high salary he comands or the team could go for youth.
Description: A Cleveland Plain dealer report says the wide receiver to watch in Browns camp will be Charles Johnson.
Insight: With Josh Gordon out of the picture and journeymen Nate Burleson and Miles Austin penciled in as starters, Johnson might be the most exciting receiver on the practice field. He\'s got size (6-foot-2, 215) and speed (4.38 40). He needs to stay healthy, but he could be a player worthy watching this summer.
Description: Spurs guard Manu Ginobili (stress fracture in his right leg) says he no longer feels any pain, according to an interview he gave to Argentine website Canchallena.LaNacion.com.
Insight: Ginobili would like to play for his country in the 2014 FIBA World Cup, but only if healthy and free of pain. We expect Spurs coach Gregg Popovich hopes he bypasses the games and rests for the upcoming season.
Description: Carlos Boozer will play for the Los Angeles Lakers next season.
Insight: Boozer was cut from the Chicago Bulls via the amnesty provision earlier this week and Los Angeles won a blind auction to claim him. Boozer started 76 games last season and played 28.2 minutes per game, but he\'ll have to battle Julius Randle, Jordan Hill and Ed Davis for playing time in 2014-15.
