Omer Asik, C, NOP2/23/2015 10:34:00 PM
Description: Pelicans center Omer Asik led the New Orleans' starters with 14 points as the Pelicans defeated the Raptors, 100-97, on Monday.
Insight: Asik also led the team with 11 rebounds. It was his eighth double-double of the season.
Kyle Lowry, G, TOR2/23/2015 10:32:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry didn't shoot all that well on Monday but still scored 22 points in the loss against the Pelicans.
Insight: Lowry was 8-of-19 from the field and just 1-for-6 at the 3-point line. He also had five assists and three steals as he led Toronto in all three categories: points, assists and steals. It was nice to see Lowry have a good scoring night as he has averaged just 13.2 ppg over the last five games.
Alexis Ajinca, C, NOP2/23/2015 10:29:00 PM
Description: New Orleans center Alexis Ajinca certainly benefited from the absence of Anthony Davis with 16 points and nine rebounds on Monday versus the Raptors.
Insight: It has been nearly a month since Ajinca scored at least 16 points. He is an interesting candidate to add if Davis misses more time, but owners should continue to wait and see if Ajinca can repeat this performance.
Kenneth Faried, F, DEN2/23/2015 10:26:00 PM
Description: Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried left Monday's game with a left hand injury according to Roto World.
Insight: Faried went into the locker room with an ice bag on his hand. He did not start Monday anyway, so there shouldn't have been too many fantasy owners who started him. If Faried misses time, Darrell Arthur should continue to start.
Pau Gasol, PF/C, CHI2/23/2015 10:24:00 PM
Description: Bulls forward Pau Gasol had a double-double in the, 87-71, victory over the Bucks on Monday.
Insight: That was Gasol's eighth double-double this month. Gasol had 15 points and 10 rebounds even though he only took nine shots. He was 5-of-8 from the free-throw line and also had an assist and block.
Khris Middleton, F, MIL2/23/2015 10:22:00 PM
Description: Bucks forward Khris Middleton had 17 points in the loss to the Bulls on Monday.
Insight: Middleton was 8-of-19 from the field. He also had six rebounds, three steals and two assists. Middleton has played very well this month and is benefiting from the trade that sent Brandon Knight to Phoenix. This month, Middleton is averaging 16.8 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 3.1 apg and 2.0 spg.
Tony Snell, G, CHIHot2/23/2015 10:20:00 PM
Description: Bulls G/F Tony Snell came off the bench to lead Chicago in scoring with 20 points as the Bulls defeated the Bucks, 87-71.
Insight: Snell was 7-of-11 from the floor, including 4-for-6 from downtown. He didn't too much else, but fantasy owners who started him love the scoring and 3-point production.
Hassan Whiteside, C, MIA2/23/2015 10:18:00 PM
Description: Heat center Hassan Whiteside recorded a double-double in the victory over the 76ers on Monday.
Insight: That was Whiteside's 11th double-double of the season. Whiteside only took eight shots but still managed to score 12 points and grab 14 rebounds.
Luol Deng, F, MIA2/23/2015 10:16:00 PM
Description: Heat forward Luol Deng led the team in scoring with 29 points as Miami defeated Philadelphia, 119-108, on Monday.
Insight: Deng hit 4-of-5 3-pointers and shot an incredible 11-for-14 from the field overall. Deng should continue to see more shot opportunities without Chris Bosh in the lineup, but don't expect him to have this kind of shooting night again.
Nerlens Noel, C, PHI2/23/2015 10:15:00 PM
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel led the team in scoring and rebounding as Philadelphia lost to Miami, 119-108, on Monday.
Insight: Noel shot 50 percent from the field and 8-for-10 at the line to finish with 18 points. He also had seven rebounds and four blocks. Noel has averaged 12.6 ppg, 6.6 rpg and 3.6 bpg over the last five games.
Goran Dragic, G, MIA2/23/2015 10:13:00 PM
Description: Heat guard Goran Dragic played much better in his second game with Miami than his first.
Insight: Dragic finished with just 12 points on Saturday in his Heat debut, but he scored 23 points with 10 assists in his second game on Monday. Dragic was 9-of-14 from the field with two 3-pointers, two rebounds and two steals as well.
Kenneth Faried, F, DENHot2/23/2015 8:21:00 PM
Description: Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried will come off the bench on Monday versus the Nets according to Nuggets play-by-play announcer Jason Kosmicki.
Insight: Faried has not been playing well, but it is still a bold move to place Darrell Arthur in the starting lineup instead of Faried. Arthur has very limited fantasy upside, so it appears owners will need to find somewhere else to get production from a forward on Monday.
Ersan Ilyasova, F, MIL2/23/2015 7:01:00 PM
Description: Bucks power forward Ersan Ilyasova will start at power forward versus the Bulls.
Insight: That sends Jared Dudley to the bench. Ilyasova has not played well this month, averaging just 5.2 ppg and 1.8 rpg although he has never logged more than 18 minutes this month either. He can be left on the waiver wire for now.
Terrence Jones, F, HOU2/23/2015 6:58:00 PM
Description: Rockets forward Terrence Jones will start on Monday against the Timberwolves.
Insight: Jones scored 11 points with nine rebounds in just 24 minutes on Saturday, so he deserves this start. He also had three blocks and an assist. Jones should be owned in all standard leagues and should be in lineups Monday night.
Jerami Grant, F, PHI2/23/2015 6:56:00 PM
Description: 76ers Jerami Grant will not play versus the Heat due to a back injury according
Insight: Grant suffered the injury on Sunday and is considered day-to-day. Mbah a Moute is playing and will absord Grant's minutes. Mbah a Moute is a decent plug-in option for Monday.
Patrick Beverley, G, HOU2/23/2015 6:54:00 PM
Description: Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley will not play on Monday against the Timberwolves due to illness according to the Houston Chronicle.
Insight: Jason Terry will start at point guard, and Pablo Prigioni will be his backup. Beverley is probable for Wednesday.
Jason Richardson, SG, PHI2/23/2015 4:10:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Jason Richardson will not play Monday night.
Insight: No surprise here. Richardson has been injured for most of the past few seasons and his playing the last two games was the exception, not the rule. He did average 7.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg in 21 minutes over the two-game span.
Lou Williams, SG, TORHot2/23/2015 1:49:00 PM
Description: Raptors guard Lou Williams (ankle) missed Saturday's contest against the Rockets, but is probable for Monday versus New Orleans.
Insight: Williams is averaging 15.4 ppg, but has posted 26 and 27 points in his previous two games. Hopefully, he hasn't lost his shooting touch (he was 17-of-30).
Luc Mbah a Moute, F, MIN2/23/2015 1:45:00 PM
Description: 76ers forward Luc Mbah a Moute missed Sunday's game but is probable for Monday's game against Miami.
Insight: He missed the flight due to personal reasons. He's averaging 10.2 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.4 apg, 1.3 spg and is a solid team player, just not a great fantasy option.
Gary Neal, G, MIN2/23/2015 1:43:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Gary Neal (ankle) will miss Monday's game against Houston.
Insight: Neal had six points in 11 minutes Friday night. The injury means more playing time for starter Kevin Martin.
Jerryd Bayless, G, MILHot2/23/2015 1:40:00 PM
Description: Bucks backup guard Jerryd Bayless should see a third consecutive start with Michael Carter-Williams sidelined.
Insight: Bayless has started the past two games and averaged a solid 12 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 5.5 apg in two starts.
Michael Carter-Williams, G, MIL2/23/2015 1:39:00 PM
Description: Point guard Michael Carter-Williams (sprained toe) will miss another game Monday night.
Insight: MCW (15.0 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 7.4 apg) will eventually take over for Brandon Knight, who was traded to Phoenix. Jerryd Bayless has started the past two games and averaged a solid 12 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 5.5 apg in two starts.
Stephen Curry, G, GSW2/23/2015 1:34:00 PM
Description: Warriors point guard Stephen Curry did not play versus the Pacers on Sunday and is questionable for Tuesday's game against Washington.
Insight: Curry has a sprained right ankle after stepping on someone in Friday's game. The leading candidate for the MVP this season is likely not going to play at less than 100 percent given the team's position in the standings.
Kirk Hinrich, G, CHI2/23/2015 1:31:00 PM
Description: Bulls backup point guard Kirk Hinrich missed the morning shootaround and has been downgraded to out for Monday's game against Milwaukee.
Insight: This was not injured caused, but illness caused, so it should just be for one game. Aaron Brooks and Tony Snell should see addition playing time. Hinrich (6.5 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 2.4 apg) only has fantasy value when Derrick Rose is sidelined.
