Description: Cavaliers forward LeBron James scored a season-high 42 points during Thursday's victory against the Warriors.
Insight: It looked like James wanted to prove he should be in the MVP discussion. He went 15-of-25 from the field, 8-of-11 from the line, and 4-of-9 from downtown. He also recorded 11 boards, five assists, three steals, one block, and six turnovers.
Description: The Splash Brothers had a rough night during Thursday's loss against the Cavaliers.
Insight: Curry was just 5-of-17 from the field for 18 points, six assists, three rebounds, three 3-pointers, one steal, and four turnovers. Klay Thimpson shot just 5-of-13 from the floor for 13 points.
Description: Bulls Vice President is hopeful guard Derrick Rose (torn meniscus) will return this season.
Insight: It is wishful thinking, and the Bulls need to be as cautious as possible. However, there has not been an official timetable given, but with the surgery scheduled for Friday, we should know Rose's status soon.
Description: Knicks point guard Jose Calderon was seen at practice wearing a walking boot, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post.
Insight: The Knicks are no longer trying to win, just raise their ping pong ball percentage so there is no reason for him to come back at less than 100 percent. Langston Galloway and Alexey Shved would split the point guard work.
Description: Rockets guard James Harden recorded a double-double during Wednesday's victory against the Clippers.
Insight: He shot just 4-of-13 from the floor, but also went 10-of-12 from the line for 21 points, 10 assists, four boards, three 3-pointers, and three turnovers. Donatas Motiejunas just missed a double-double himself, with 18 points and nine rebounds.
Description: Bucks PF/C John Henson lost his starting job on Wednesday, but finished with a team-high 21 points.
Insight: Henson played 29 minutes and shot 9-of-12 from the floor and 3-of-5 from the line. He also managed nine boards, two assists, three blocks, two steals, and three turnovers. Zaza Pachulia started at center, but played just 19 minutes.
Description: Bucks point guard Michael Carter-Williams started and played 18 minutes during his first game with the team.
Insight: He went up against his former squad, going 3-of-5 from the field and 1-of-2 from the line for seven points, eight assists, two steals, and one turnover. MCW will need a little time to get acclimated, but should put up decent numbers.
Description: 76ers guard Jason Richardson drained four 3-pointers in a loss Wednesday versus Milwaukee.
Insight: He finished with a team-high 16 points and shot 6-of-11 from the field overall. Richardson also recorded four rebounds, two assists, and one steal. He will not be a relevant option, but it is nice to see him back in action.
Description: Timberwolves forward Kevin Garnett started and played 19 minutes in his return on Wednesday night.
Insight: He finished with just five points, eight boards, two assists, one steal, and two blocks. Garnett was given an emotional tribute before being announced with the starters. It is nice to see him back in Minnesota.
Description: Pelicans guard Quincy Pondexter shot the lights out during Wednesday's win over the Nets.
Insight: He went 9-of-13 from the floor, 3-of-3 from the line, and 4-of-8 from downtown for a team-high 25 points. Pondexter also recorded five rebounds, two assists, and three turnovers. Despite the solid outing, he can be left on the wire.
Description: Knicks forward Andrea Bargnani scored a team-high 17 points during Wednesday's loss to the Celtics.
Insight: He did so off the bench and went 5-of-13 from the field and 7-of-9 from the line. Bargnani also had six boards, one assist, and two blocks. Langston Galloway, Jason Smith, and Lou Amundson each scored 14 points for the Knicks as well.
Description: Mavericks point guard Rajon Rondo has been suspended for one game for conduct detrimental to the team.
Insight: Apparently the organization is siding with their head coach, and that should not be much of a surprise to anyone. Rondo will miss Wednesday's game against Atlanta, but should return to starting duties upon his return.
Description: Bulls guard Derrick Rose has a torn right meniscus according to the Chicago Tribune.
Insight: This tear is not considered as severe as the tear he suffered in 2013 which caused Rose to miss nine months. Russell Westbrook returned in two months from a similar injury, but judging by his injury history, he could be out longer than normal. In all likelihood, Rose is out for the season and can be dropped in all redraft leagues.
Description: Lakers guard/forward Nick Young will not play on Wednesday against the Jazz according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
Insight: Young scored 19 points in his last game, so it's too bad he won't get a chance to build upon that. The good new is an MRI didn't find anything wrong with Young's knee. Just make sure he is out of the fantasy lineup on Wednesday.
Description: Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried is questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Suns.
Insight: Faried had a pretty bad Monday, getting benched in favor of Darrell Arthur and then injurying his thumb during the game. The Nuggets could sit Faried on Wednesday, which would mean big minutes for Arthur.
Description: Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday will wear a protective walking boot for two weeks at which point the training staff will then again reevaluate him according to The Times-Picayune.
Insight: Holiday missed the final 48 games of last with a similar stree fracture, but Holiday has gone on record saying the two injuries are completely different. Recently when Holiday did try to increase his basketball activities, though, he said the pain began to return. If owners have an IR spot available, Holiday is worth stashing, but otherwise, he is droppable.
Description: Bulls point guard Kirk Hinrich is expected to play on Wednesday and will likely start for the injured Derrick Rose according to ESPN Chicago.
Insight: Hinrich, however, will likely not produce at the same rate as Rose did. Hinrich has averaged 7.9 ppg, 2.9 apg, 2.1 rpg, 1.0 spg and 1.2 3-pointers per game in 22 starts this season. Fellow point guard Aaron Brooks will likely see more playing time as well, and he might be the better fantasy play.
Description: Pelicans G/F Tyreke Evans is not 100 percent recovered from his illness, but he will play versus the Nets on Wednesday according to NBA.com.
Insight: Evans played through this illness on Monday and had 13 points, 12 assists, four rebounds, two 3-pointers, one steal and one block. Evans must be in fantasy lineups if he plays again on Wednesday because without Anthony Davis, Jrue Holiday and Ryan Anderson, Evans has the potential for a huge night.
Description: Bulls forward Taj Gibson is expected to play on Wednesday according to ESPN Chicago.
Insight: Gibson hasn't practiced in full since becoming ill, so it seems he still isn't 100 percent, however, Gibson is a must-start player if he is on the court. He is averaging 10.8 ppg and 6.7 rpg this season.
Description: Mavericks center Tyson Chandler suffered a hip flexor injury during Tuesday's victory over the Raptors, but there is no indication that he will not play on Wednesday according to ESPN Dallas.
Insight: Chandler is also dealing with a ankle injury, so to say Chandler is banged up would be an understatement. We have further updates if the Mavericks decide not to play Chandler on Wednesday.
Description: Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle benched Rajon Rondo during the third quarter of Tuesday's game after the two had a heated argument according to RotoWorld.
Insight: Carlisle said after the game, "Emotional game and we had a difference of opinion. Once it was over, it was over. However, the fact Rondo didn't return to the game suggests the argument lingered. Rondo had four points and four assists in 18 minutes on Tuesday.
Description: Mavericks guard Monta Ellis led the team with 20 points on Tuesday night.
Insight: He did so in a victory over the Raptors, and went 8-of-15 from the floor and 3-of-4 from the line. Ellis also managed three assists, one rebound, one 3-pointer, three steals, one block, and four turnovers.
Description: Thunder power forward Serge Ibaka continued his strong play since the All-Star break.
Insight: He scored 23 points by going 9-of-11 from the field, 4-of-4 from the line, and 1-of-1 from downtown. Ibaka completed his double-double with 10 rebounds, and also had three blocks and three turnovers.
Description: Pistons guard Reggie Jackson continues to be a winner of the trade deadline.
Insight: Jackson played 34 minutes and led his team with 22 points. He also nearly had a triple-double with nine assists and eight rebounds. If Jackson is still available in your league, pick him up now.
Description: Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love hit an incredible eight 3-pointers in the, 102-93, victory over the Pistons on Tuesday.
Insight: Love led the team with 24 points, meaning all his points came off the 3-pointers. He also had nine rebounds, three assists and a steal. Fantasy owners are overall disappointed with Love, but he will occasionally explode like this.
Description: Warriors guard Klay Thompson was 7-of-13 from the field on his way to 17 points on Tuesday.
Insight: Golden State won, 114-107, versus Washington. Thompson also had five steals, four assists and a rebound. Thompson's numbers are slightly down in February; he is averaging 20.4 ppg, 2.4 rpg and 2.4 apg this month.
Description: Wizards small forward Paul Pierce was very efficient Tuesday, making 7-of-11 field goals and 9-of-9 foul shots in the loss to the Warriors.
Insight: Pierce also hit two 3-pointers as he scored 25 points. That led the team. He also had five rebounds an assist, steal and block. 20-point games, however, are few and far between for Pierce at this point in his career. He hadn't scored at least 20 points in a game since Jan. 14.
Description: The 76ers claimed forward Thomas Robinson off waivers.
Insight: This is noteworthy because Robinson should find himself in Philadelphia's rotation rather quickly. In fact, do not be surprised if Robinson ends up in the 76ers starting lineup in the near future. Point guard Tim Frazier was waived in a corresponding move.
Description: Warriors point guard Stephen Curry has been upgraded to probable for Tuesday's game against Washington, according to beat writer Rusty Simmons.
Insight: Curry has been dealing with a sprained right ankle after stepping on someone in Friday's game. He'll still have to get through pregame without incident, but one of the leading candidates for the MVP award this season is a welcome sight for fantasy owners ... and the Warriors.
Description: Clippers guard Chris Paul went large Monday night, throwing up 30 points with four rebounds, 10 assists, two steals and two blocks.
Insight: Paul is averaging 19.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 12.1 apg in the six games since Blake Griffin was injured. All three numbers are above his season average as he's doing his part to compensate for the team's loss of offense.
Description: Point guard Michael Carter-Williams (sprained toe) gets a chance to play against the team that just traded him on Wednesday and that should be motivation enough to get him back on the court.
Insight: MCW (15.0 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 7.4 apg) might not be fantasy worthy, however, as he may play limited minutes in his first game back. He hasn't played since before the All-Star break, but he is a must-start option once he gets healthy.
Description: Timberwolves guard Andrew Wiggins had 30 points in the, 113-102, loss to the Rockets on Monday.
Insight: James Harden stole the show with a triple-double, but Wiggins turned in a solid fantasy game in his own right. He was 12-for-24, hit one 3-pointer and 5-for-5 at the line. He also had seven rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal.
Description: Rockets guard James Harden recorded his second triple-double of the season as he continued his MVP season.
Insight: Harden finished with 31 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. He didn't shoot well overall, going 7-for-20 from the field, but he hit five 3-pointers and 12-of-15 at the foul line. He also had four blocks for good measure.
Description: Raptors guard Kyle Lowry didn't shoot all that well on Monday but still scored 22 points in the loss against the Pelicans.
Insight: Lowry was 8-of-19 from the field and just 1-for-6 at the 3-point line. He also had five assists and three steals as he led Toronto in all three categories: points, assists and steals. It was nice to see Lowry have a good scoring night as he has averaged just 13.2 ppg over the last five games.
Description: New Orleans center Alexis Ajinca certainly benefited from the absence of Anthony Davis with 16 points and nine rebounds on Monday versus the Raptors.
Insight: It has been nearly a month since Ajinca scored at least 16 points. He is an interesting candidate to add if Davis misses more time, but owners should continue to wait and see if Ajinca can repeat this performance.
Description: Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried left Monday's game with a left hand injury according to Roto World.
Insight: Faried went into the locker room with an ice bag on his hand. He did not start Monday anyway, so there shouldn't have been too many fantasy owners who started him. If Faried misses time, Darrell Arthur should continue to start.
Description: Bulls forward Pau Gasol had a double-double in the, 87-71, victory over the Bucks on Monday.
Insight: That was Gasol's eighth double-double this month. Gasol had 15 points and 10 rebounds even though he only took nine shots. He was 5-of-8 from the free-throw line and also had an assist and block.
Description: Bucks forward Khris Middleton had 17 points in the loss to the Bulls on Monday.
Insight: Middleton was 8-of-19 from the field. He also had six rebounds, three steals and two assists. Middleton has played very well this month and is benefiting from the trade that sent Brandon Knight to Phoenix. This month, Middleton is averaging 16.8 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 3.1 apg and 2.0 spg.
Description: Heat forward Luol Deng led the team in scoring with 29 points as Miami defeated Philadelphia, 119-108, on Monday.
Insight: Deng hit 4-of-5 3-pointers and shot an incredible 11-for-14 from the field overall. Deng should continue to see more shot opportunities without Chris Bosh in the lineup, but don't expect him to have this kind of shooting night again.
Description: 76ers center Nerlens Noel led the team in scoring and rebounding as Philadelphia lost to Miami, 119-108, on Monday.
Insight: Noel shot 50 percent from the field and 8-for-10 at the line to finish with 18 points. He also had seven rebounds and four blocks. Noel has averaged 12.6 ppg, 6.6 rpg and 3.6 bpg over the last five games.
Description: Heat guard Goran Dragic played much better in his second game with Miami than his first.
Insight: Dragic finished with just 12 points on Saturday in his Heat debut, but he scored 23 points with 10 assists in his second game on Monday. Dragic was 9-of-14 from the field with two 3-pointers, two rebounds and two steals as well.
Description: Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried will come off the bench on Monday versus the Nets according to Nuggets play-by-play announcer Jason Kosmicki.
Insight: Faried has not been playing well, but it is still a bold move to place Darrell Arthur in the starting lineup instead of Faried. Arthur has very limited fantasy upside, so it appears owners will need to find somewhere else to get production from a forward on Monday.
Description: Bucks power forward Ersan Ilyasova will start at power forward versus the Bulls.
Insight: That sends Jared Dudley to the bench. Ilyasova has not played well this month, averaging just 5.2 ppg and 1.8 rpg although he has never logged more than 18 minutes this month either. He can be left on the waiver wire for now.
Description: Rockets forward Terrence Jones will start on Monday against the Timberwolves.
Insight: Jones scored 11 points with nine rebounds in just 24 minutes on Saturday, so he deserves this start. He also had three blocks and an assist. Jones should be owned in all standard leagues and should be in lineups Monday night.
Description: 76ers guard Jason Richardson will not play Monday night.
Insight: No surprise here. Richardson has been injured for most of the past few seasons and his playing the last two games was the exception, not the rule. He did average 7.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg in 21 minutes over the two-game span.
Description: Point guard Michael Carter-Williams (sprained toe) will miss another game Monday night.
Insight: MCW (15.0 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 7.4 apg) will eventually take over for Brandon Knight, who was traded to Phoenix. Jerryd Bayless has started the past two games and averaged a solid 12 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 5.5 apg in two starts.

Insight: This was not injured caused, but illness caused, so it should just be for one game. Aaron Brooks and Tony Snell should see addition playing time. Hinrich (6.5 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 2.4 apg) only has fantasy value when Derrick Rose is sidelined.
