Cox, Green, Deslauriers agree to two-year deals with Als

Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - The Montreal Alouettes signed linebacker Chip Cox and wide receivers S.J. Green and Eric Deslauriers to two-year deals on Wednesday.

Cox has been the defensive tackles leader for Montreal since he joined the team in 2006. He was a CFL All-Star from 2009-11. Last season, he recorded a career-high 82 tackles and four interceptions.

Green missed four games due to a knee injury last year, but still registered 1,000-plus yards for the second consecutive season. In six seasons with Montreal, Green has 232 receptions for 3,486 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Deslauriers recorded 13 receptions for 299 yards in 2012. A first-round pick in the 2007 CFL Canadian Draft, Deslauriers has 61 receptions for 865 yards and three touchdowns in six seasons with the Alouettes.

In addition, the Alouettes have released linebacker Rod Davis and kicker Derek Schiavone.

Davis had 35 tackles, five sacks, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries last season. He spent the previous three seasons in Edmonton and had a career-high 79 tackles in 2011.

Schiavone did not play in 2012.
