Hot12/28/2012 4:37:00 PM
Description: Good news for Darren Sproles' fantasy owners as Pierre Thomas will not play in Week 17 versus Carolina. That's one less player to share with and Sproles is hot of late.

12/10/2012 2:46:00 PM
Description: Saints tailback Darren Sproles received his first carries since Week 8 Sunday against the Giants and turned in 56 yards and a touchdown on the ground. He also caught four balls for 28 yards and another score.
Insight: Sproles has been heavily involved in the passing game since returning from a hand injury in Week 12, but he didn't run the ball once in the previous two games. He likely won't run it at all in Week 15 against the No. 1 rush defense in the league, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

11/25/2012 3:10:00 PM
Description: Saints tailback Darren Sproles (hand) is active for Sunday's game against San Francisco.
Insight: As expected. We expect the running back to be plugged into his usual pass catching role after missing three games.

11/22/2012 3:04:00 PM
Description: Saints tailback Darren Sproles (hand) practiced Thursday in full for the second straight day.
Insight: That bodes well for Sproles' status for Sunday versus San Francisco. We expect the running back to be plugged into his usual pass catching role after he was a late scratch in Week 11.

11/21/2012 4:02:00 PM
Description: Saints tailback Darren Sproles practiced Wednesday. He is questionable for Sunday's game against San Francisco.
Insight: Sproles was a late scratch last weekend, but they will need him when facing the formidable 49ers' defense. Pierre Thomas, Mark Ingram and Chris Ivory will handle the running back position if Sproles is inactive.

Description: Contradictory reports are coming out concerning Saints running back Darren Sproles. Earlier reports had him active this week, but Jay Glazer is reporting that he will miss the game.
Insight: With all of the Saints' other options at running back and the fact that Sproles likely isn't 100 percent, we hope you have better halfback options for Week 11.

11/18/2012 12:02:00 PM
Description: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Saints running back Darren Sproles is expected to be active Sunday against Oakland. He's missed the past two weeks because of a broken hand.
Insight: With all of the Saints' other options at running back and the fact that Sproles likely isn't 100 percent, we hope you have better halfback options for Week 11.

Description: New Orleans running back Darren Sproles (hand) has enjoyed a good week of practice, according to interim coach Joe Vitt, but there remains some swelling in Sproles' left hand. SOURCE: New Orleans Times-Picayune
Insight: Sproles is questionable for Sunday's game against Oakland, a favorable matchup for fantasy running backs. "Whatever the doctors tell me," Sproles said. "They have the final decision." We'll continue to monitor this situation. If Sproles doesn't play Chris Ivory could make for a solid RB2 Sunday.

Description: New Orleans running back Darren Sproles (hand) practiced in full Thursday. He's likely to return to the lineup Sunday against Oakland. SOURCE: New Orleans Times-Picayune
Insight: Sproles initial timetable after hand surgery was 4-to-6 weeks, but it appears that he could be back in just two. The running back will assume his duties as a multi-purpose threat while Pierre Thomas, Chris Ivory and Mark Ingram will vie for the remaining touches.

Description: New Orleans running back Darren Sproles (hand) returned to a limited practice Wednesday.
Insight: Sproles initial timetable after hand surgery was 4-to-6 weeks, but it appears that he could be back in just two. Of course, adding Sproles to the pool with Pierre Thomas, Chris Ivory and Mark Ingram will make it even tougher to figure out who, if any, should be started. Stay tuned.

11/9/2012 2:03:00 PM
Description: New Orleans running back Darren Sproles (hand) will miss Week 10, according to Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times Picayune.
Insight: Sproles had surgery to repair a broken hand last week and the initial timetable projected 4-to-6 weeks. He's coming along much quicker than that, but this week the Saints will again use their four-man backfield of; Pierre Thomas, Chris Ivory, Mark Ingram and Travaris Cadet.

Description: New Orleans halfback Darren Sproles (hand) didn't practice Thursday. SOURCE: Mike Triplett, New Orleans Times Picayune
Insight: Sproles had surgery to repair a broken hand last week and the initial timetable projected 4-to-6 weeks. However, there's a slim chance the running back could play this Sunday. We're going to go ahead and call him doubtful.

11/4/2012 12:07:00 PM
Description: New Orleans halfback Darren Sproles may be able to return from his broken hand in just 1-to-2 weeks according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
Insight: This is obviously much more favorable than his original 4-to-6 week timetable. Though Sproles has just 26 carries on the season, he's already scored four touchdowns as a receiver and carries plenty of value in PPR leagues.

11/3/2012 4:11:00 PM
Description: The initial timetable for Saints running back Darren Sproles' recovery from a broken hand is 4-6 weeks, team sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
Insight: There is optimism for an earlier return. Sources say the injury is to Sproles' upper left hand near the wrist. Fantasy owners should hit the free agent wire immediately and add Pierre Thomas.

11/2/2012 3:10:00 PM
Description: New Orleans tailback Darren Sproles will miss an indefinite length of time after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured hand. The team should give a better timetable for his return next week.
Insight: Sproles' absence should make Pierre Thomas a viable fantasy option.

10/26/2012 3:35:00 PM
Description: New Orleans tailback Darren Sproles was back at practice Friday after missing two days due to an illness in his family, reports Katherine Terrell of the Times-Picayune.
Insight: Sproles is expected to play this Sunday at Denver and as the game should be a shootout, you will want to start him. He's getting around 10 touches per game, which is down a couple from last season, but could break out Sunday night.
