Description: Los Angeles shooting guard Jodie Meeks will sit out Sunday's Game 4 against San Antonio. SOURCE: Mike Bresnahan, Los Angeles Times
Insight: Meeks has a torn ligament in his ankle and he probably won't play another game this season. The Lakers will turn to the unproven Andrew Goudelock in Game 4. Get your broom ready, there's about to be a sweep.

4/25/2013 4:14:00 PM
Description: Lakers guard Jodie Meeks (ankle) is doubtful for Game 3 against the Spurs, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPNLA.com. He missed Game 2.
Insight: The Lakers are down 2-0 to the Spurs and will not have Kobe Bryant or Steve Blake for Game 3. Meeks and Steve Nash are doubtful, leaving Darius Morris and Andrew Goudelock as the only healthy guards.

4/25/2013 10:04:00 AM
Description: Lakers guard Jodie Meeks missed Game 2 against the Spurs Wednesday after spraining his left ankle in the team's Game 1 loss Sunday.
Insight: Meeks will have an MRI Thursday, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPNLosAngeles.com. The Lakers are down 2-0 to the Spurs and may have to play Game 3 without Meeks, Steve Nash and Steve Blake. Andrew Goudelock and Darius Morris could be headed for big minutes.

4/24/2013 11:54:00 AM
Description: Lakers guard Jodie Meeks is probable for Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals Wednesday against San Antonio while dealing with a sprained left ankle.
Insight: Meeks missed Tuesday's practice. He provides the Lakers with scoring off the bench, but played only 19 minutes in the first playoff game with the Spurs and posted just four points.

12/23/2012 10:13:00 AM
Description: Lakers guard Jodie Meeks has scored in double figures in five straight games and seven of his last eight.
Insight: Meeks has provided the Lakers with some semblance of a bench threat (Metta World Peace has also moved to the bench the last two games) but any hope for sustained fantasy success likely slipped away when Steve Nash returned Saturday.

12/14/2012 10:24:00 PM
Description: Lakers guard Jodie Meeks had a season-high 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting in 30 minutes off the bench Friday at Washington. Meeks added five rebounds, one assist and three steals.
Insight: Meeks has earned increased playing time from the desperate Lakers by averaging 15.2 points in his last five games.

8/13/2012 8:52:00 PM
Description: Guard Jodie Meeks has agreed to a new two-year, $3 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. Meeks had spent the previous three seasons as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers.
Insight: Meeks has the skill to be a starter in this league (8.4 ppg in 2011-12) but that's not going to happen in Los Angeles, where Kobe Bryant reigns supreme at the shooting guard position. Considering that only three players logged more minutes per game than Bryant last season (Luol Deng, Kevin Love and Kevin Durant), it doesn't look like Meeks will be on the court enough to be much of a factor in fantasy hoops next season.

4/10/2012 7:08:00 PM
Description: Jodie Meeks will sub in for Evan Turner as Philadelphia's starting shooting guard Tuesday night against the 76ers.
Insight: Turner has been nonexistent for the 76ers during their recent losing streak and with the Bucks nipping at their heels for the final playoff spot, Doug Collins just can't afford to have a struggling player in the starting lineup right now. Not that Meeks has been playing much better: he was 0-7 from the field Sunday against the Celtics.

3/28/2012 10:04:00 AM
Description: Jodie Meeks went off in a surprising effort vs. Cleveland, starting in place of Andre Iguodala and scoring 31 points on 11-of-16 shooting, including seven 3-pointers.
Insight: It was actually Meeks' 40th start of the season, but he hasn't made this kind of impact for Philadelphia. Meeks gets an upgrade as a potential spot starter if Iguodala misses more time, but don't expect anywhere close to this kind of performance every night.

3/26/2012 4:39:00 PM
Description: If Andre Iguodala is out of the lineup again Tuesday, Jodie Meeks will probably be in the starting lineup again for Philadelphia.
Insight: Meeks has started 39 out of the 76ers' 49 games this season so this won't have as big of an impact on his stats as you'd think. Meeks was so-so in a spot start yesterday (11 points) but that was against a ball-hawking San Antonio team. He should fare at least a little better against the Cavaliers Tuesday.

4/29/2011 1:10:00 PM
Description: The Sixers have exercised their option on Jodie Meeks for next season. SOURCE: Phillyburbs.com
Insight: This puts a damper on the Evan Turner hype train for next season. The likely platoon at shooting guard moves both of these guys outside of the top 150 until further notice.

3/14/2011 10:58:00 PM
Description: Jodie Meeks kept the party going for his owners by scoring 17 points including three bombs in 40minutes.
Insight: 40 minutes? Meeks should be picked up by all owners that need threes and he has completely left Evan Turner (14 minutes) in the dust.

3/12/2011 10:27:00 PM
Description: Jodie Meeks continued to win the hearts of fantasy owners with his line of 13 points, six boards, and three steals in 33 minutes to help the Sixers for naught in the loss.
Insight: Meeks has a tendency for doing some work and his owners have to appreciate the way he has stepped it up lately. He should be owned in most deeper leagues and his owners will want to allow him at least two bad games before hopping on a different horse.

3/2/2011 12:03:00 AM
Description: Jodie Meeks turned up it up a notch in Tuesday's loss to Dallas with 16 points, four boards, and four threes in 34 minutes.
Insight: Four treys in 34 minutes would make him a must-own guy, but that's not going to happen on a regular basis. Meeks probably does have more value than players such as Mike Bibby and Bibby will likely be owned in thousands of more leagues.

2/9/2011 9:57:00 PM
Description: Jodie Meeks logged 37 minutes for the second time in a row and yielded a line of 17 points, eight boards, two triples, and a steal on Wednesday.
Insight: We've seen this from Meeks earlier in the season. He has legitimate range and could be an asset to deep league owners seeking help with threes. Although it does almost go without saying that owners might not want to cut any player with more than negligible value for the Kentucky product.

1/7/2011 11:35:00 PM
Description: Jodie Meeks busted out of his slump with authority by dropping 24 points including four treys on 8-of-11 shooting. Meanwhile Evan Turner played just 15 minutes and scored two points.
Insight: He was justifiably cut loose in just about every league. It's going to be tough to count on a guy that was so bad for so long and fantasy owners should not cut anyone with value for him. An example of a player without value would be Evan Turner.

12/9/2010 11:01:00 PM
Description: Jodie Meeks is sweeping the fantasy nation with his latest gem of 21 points including four threes in 39 minutes.
Insight: His value will not stop climbing and should be owned by all teams that are seeking threes. He was a prolific scorer at Kentucky and is running laps around Evan Turner. Turner had no points in just five minutes. Buh-bye.

12/5/2010 2:26:00 AM
Description: Jodie Meeks could not be stopped in the first quarter by making six threes. He finished the game with 26 points and seven threes in 36 minutes.
Insight: Meeks is another player preventing Evan Turner from showing what he can do. When a player hits seven threes, it's tough not to grab him. However, the Sixers have one of the deepest rotations in the league and Meeks is far from reliable.

11/27/2010 12:22:00 PM
Description: Jodie Meeks had his best game of the season with 23 points including five threes in 25 minutes.
Insight: This kind of came out of nowhere as Meeks did nothing (just six points) in 24 minutes on Wednesday. The Sixers play on Saturday and daily leaguers might want to take advantage. He not close to targeting in standard leagues.

11/27/2010 7:03:00 AM
Description: Weeks came off the 76ers bench to score 21 points. He hit five three-pointers.
Insight: Meeks had a 17-point game on Nov. 10, but had scored a combined 20 points in the seven games in between. He is not a good fantasy option. (RapidDraft.com)
