Description: Seahawks receiver Percy Harvin had a procedure done on his injured hip last week. SOURCE: Liz Mathews, ESPN Seattle
Insight: It sounds like Harvin received a cortisone injection. The Seahawks have already clinched a playoff berth so they won\'t be in any hurry to bring Harvin back. If he\'s not 100 percent, we may not see him again until the postseason.
Description: Celtics guard Rajon Rondo is still waiting to be cleared for full contact. SOURCE: Comcast Sportsnet New England
Insight: The hope is that he\'ll be cleared sometime in the next week. Rondo\'s recovery from a torn ACL is going well but there\'s still no timetable for his return. Jordan Crawford has been filling in at point guard.
Description: Charlotte small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist fractured his left hand during Tuesday night\'s loss at Dallas. SOURCE: Rick Bonnell, Charlotte Observer
Insight: This is getting ridiculous. Kidd-Gilchrist is the fourth player in the last week to break his hand (J.J. Redick, Paul Pierce and Anthony Davis suffered the same injury). He\'s going to be out at least a month. Jeff Taylor is likely to take over Kidd-Gilchrist\'s spot in the starting lineup.
Description: The Rangers inked goaltender Henrik Lundqvist to a seven-year, $59.5 million contract extension on Wednesday. SOURCE: NESN
Insight: Lundqvist was going to be a free agent after the season. You could argue he\'s been the best goaltender in hockey over the last half-decade. Lundqvist will be 39 by the time his contract expires.
Description: Paul Konerko isn\'t going anywhere. The veteran first baseman has agreed to a $2.5 million contract that will keep him in Chicago for another season. SOURCE: Scott Merkin, MLB.com
Insight: Jose Abreu and Adam Dunn are likely to see most of the reps at first base which means Konerko probably won\'t be an everyday player. Because of this, he\'ll only be worth drafting in AL-only formats.
Description: The Royals have offered free agent outfielder Carlos Beltran a three-year, $48 million deal and there\'s a good chance he\'ll end up taking it.
Insight: Tacoma News Tribune reporter Bob Dutton has pegged the Royals as the clear favorites to land Beltran. The 36-year-old started his career in Kansas City and enjoyed three straight 20 HR/100 RBI seasons between 2001 and 2003.
