Description: Hornets guard Mo Williams has arguably been the biggest trade deadline acquisition in the league.
Insight: He has not scored under 17 points since arriving and has played at least 37 minutes in four of his five games with Charlotte. On Sunday, Williams helped defeat Orlando with 23 points, 11 dimes, two boards, four 3-pointers, and two turnovers. If he is available, pick Williams up ASAP.
Description: Hornets guard Mo Williams has been a major pickup for Charlotte.
Insight: He finished with 31 points, seven boards, four assists, six 3-pointers, one steal, and three turnovers in a loss Friday against the Celtics. Williams has amazingly been a top-30 option over the past two weeks.

Insight: He should be good to go Saturday. MKG was averaging 13.8 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.0 spg over five games before the injury.
Description: Hornets point guard Kemba Walker (surgery on a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee) has set a target date of Mar. 16, according to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.
Insight: The addition of Mo Williams shouldn't hurt Walker too much, as Mo is more likely to take Brian Roberts' minutes. Walker was averaging 18.8 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 5.2 apg, 1.4 spg in 42 games before the knee injury.
Description: Hornets small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will miss Tuesday's game against Detroit due to a strained right hamstring.
Insight: MKG was averaging 13.8 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.0 spg over five games before the injury. Jeff Taylor started at small forward Sunday, but didn't show much for fantasy owners. Gary Neal and Lance Stephenson might get a bigger piece of the pie Tuesday.
Description: Hornets shooting guard Lance Stephenson came off the bench and scored just eight points on Sunday versus the Pacers.
Insight: Stephenson was just 2-of-7 from the field with four assists, two rebounds and a steal. Stephenson has lost his starting role and likely his fantasy role for most owners. He is shooting just 37. 3 percent from the field and 58.6 from the line this season.
Description: Hornets center Al Jefferson scored 30 points versus the Pacers on Sunday, which is the most points he has scored in one game since the beginning of November.

Description: Hornets shooting guard Lance Stephenson (left knee) is questionable for Saturday's game against Philadelphia.
Insight: Stephenson has been a big disappointment this season averaging 9.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 4.9 apg. Gary Neal, Gerald Henderson and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist would all benefit from more minutes if Stephenson can't go.
Description: Hornets small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is starting to take a bigger piece of the Charlotte offense with Kemba Walker sidelined.
Insight: MKG is averaging 13.8 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.0 spg over his last five games. We particularly like the 10.6 shots and 6.4 free-throw attempts per night. Don't overlook him if you need help at the small forward spot.
Description: Hornets small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist only took six shots but still finished with a double-double.
Insight: Gilchrist did very well in several categories, registering 13 points, 13 rebounds and shot 67 percent from the field, but he also made just 50 percent at the line. Kidd-Gilchrist also had three assists and a steal.
Description: Hornets center Al Jefferson recorded his 13th double-double of the season on Monday.
Insight: Jefferson had 18 points and 12 rebounds with two steals and an assist. He was 9-of-19 from the field. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come. Jefferson's rebounding numbers are up as he has averaged 10.4 rpg over the last five games but his scoring is down to 16.0 ppg over the same stretch.
Description: Hornets point guard Kemba Walker will undergo surgery on a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee.

Description: The Charlotte front office is pushing for point guard Kemba Walker to undergo surgery on his ailing knee.

Description: Hornets center Al Jefferson came off the bench again Saturday and had an incredible seven blocks.
Insight: Charlotte has been easing Jefferson back into the lineup by limiting his minutes off the bench. Jefferson had nine points, six rebounds in addition to the seven blocks versus the Knicks. There is a decent chance Jefferson is ready to start in Charlotte's next game on Wednesday.
Description: Backup point guard Brian Roberts led the Hornets in scoring with 17 points in the, 76-71, victory over the Knicks.
Insight: This game lacked star power with both Kemba Walker and Carmelo Anthony out of the lineup, hence the low score. Roberts was 5-of-9 from the field, hitting one 3-pointer and all six foul shots. Roberts will return to the bench once Walker returns.
Description: Backup point guard Brian Roberts should get a second consecutive start with Kemba Walker expected to miss Monday's game.
Insight: Roberts played 40 minutes Saturday, but only managed six points, two rebounds and four assists. He did hoist up 12 shots, so there is some hope that he could significantly improve his point total.
Description: Hornets point guard Kemba Walker did not play against the Pacers on Saturday and after missing Sunday's practice is expected to miss Monday's game against Minnesota.
Insight: The Charlotte Obsever reports Walker is dealing with soreness due to a cyst in his knee. It is not supposed to be serious, but this will be his second consecutive absence. Brian Roberts will start at point guard, but didn't do much with 40 minutes on Saturday.
Description: Hornets guard/forward Gerald Henderson missed the morning shootaround due to the flu and should be considered questionable for Friday night against the Pacers, according to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.

Description: Hornets shooting guard Lance Stephenson has practiced, with contact, for two days and should be ready for action Wednesday against San Antonio
Insight: Stephenson has missed the last 14 games due to a pelvic sprain. He wasn't playing very well to start the season (10.2 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 4.8 apg), but his return will certainly cost Gerald Henderson and Gary Neal playing time.
Description: Hornets point guard Kemba Walker scored a team-high 28 points during Saturday's victory against the Knicks.
Insight: He went 8-of-13 from the field, 8-of-9 from the line, and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. It was an efficient shooting day for Walker, who also had seven boards, one assist, one steal, and two turnovers.
Description: Bobcats power forward Cody Zeller is questionable for Thursday's game versus Toronto with a strained right shoulder.
Insight: This news come out of nowhere, but if Zeller is unable to go, Marvin Williams and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist would be the main benefactors, with Kidd-Gilchrist having slightly more value. We will update Zeller's status once it is known before tipoff.
Description: Hornets point guard Kemba Walker produced a team-high 31 points during Wednesday's victory against the Pelicans.
Insight: Walker went 12-of-24 from the floor and 6-of-8 from the line. He also had four assists, four rebounds, one 3-pointer, one steal, and two turnovers. Walker will continue to have solid numbers, especially during the absence of Al Jefferson.
Description: Bobcats power forward Cody Zeller was perfect from the field and the foul line on Monday against the Celtics.
Insight: Zeller was 8-for-8 from the field and 4-for-4 at the line as he scored 20 points. He also added seven rebounds, a block and an assist. It was by far Zeller's biggest night of the season, and it will be extremely hard for him to repeat it.
Description: Hornets point guard Kemba Walker scored over 30 points for the second straight game to lead the Hornets to a victory over the Celtics on Monday.
Insight: Walker shot 12-of-26, hitting two 3-pointers and all seven free throws to score 33 points. He also had five rebounds, five assists and a block. In the last two games, Walker is averaging 31.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg, and 5.5 apg.
Description: Hornets point guard Kemba Walker played very well during Saturday's victory against the Magic.
Insight: He went 10-of-21 from the field, 6-of-7 from the line, and 4-of-8 from beyond the arc for 30 points. Walker also had seven rebounds, six assists, two steals, one block, and three turnovers. He is a top-50 player.
Description: Hornets point guard Kemba Walker continued his hot scoring streak on Monday versus the Bucks.
Insight: Walker scored 42 points on Saturday, and dropped 28 more points on Monday. However, he didn't shoot particularly well, going 7-for-22 and 25 percent from the 3-point line. His 12-for-12 free-throw shooting certainly helped. With the way Walker contributes assists, steals and blocks, four assists, two steals and four blocks on Monday, he a very good fantasy start when he can score like he is right now.
Description: Hornets point guard Kemba Walker dropped 42 points in a losing effort on Saturday.
Insight: Walker had it going on, shooting 15-of-31 from the field. Al Jefferson was the only other Hornet who scored in double figures. He also was the only other Hornet to take more than eight shots. Walker also had seven assists, three rebounds and a block to go with his season-high 42 points.
Walker didn't do much else besides score, but he had good percentages. He was 9-of-18 from the field, 1-for-4 from the 3-point line and 8-for-10 at the free-throw line. Walker also had four assists, two steals and a rebound.
Description: Hornets shooting guard Lance Stephenson will not play on Saturday or Monday due to his hip injury.
Insight: Stephenson has missed the last five games due to his injury, and Charlotte has gone 4-1, so the team probably won't rush him back. Stephenson is no longer a must-own player in shallow leagues.
Description: Hornets shooting guard Lance Stephenson is out Saturday with a sprained pelvis.
Insight: There is a chance he could play next week. Gerald Henderson should continue see more playing time, but even as a starter is averaging just 9.8 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 2.3 apg). Stephenson (10.2 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 4.8 apg) has also been the subject of trade rumors.
Description: Hornets shooting guard Lance Stephenson is out indefinitely with a sprained pelvis.
Insight: Gerald Henderson should continue see more playing time. Stephenson (10.2 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 4.8 apg) has also been the subject of trade rumors, including one that would send him back to Indiana, as he hasn't fit in very well with his teammates or this offense.

Insight: He was 13-of-23 from the floor for a team-high 30 points. Walker also contributed five assists, four boards, three 3-pointers, one steal, and three turnovers. He should be in all owners' starting lineups.
Description: Hornets center Al Jefferson recorded a double-double in the, 111-106, loss to the Suns on Wednesday.
Insight: Jefferson scored 28 points and hauled in 10 rebounds. He did a little bit of everything as he also had two assists, two steals and a block. Jefferson and Kemba Walker both took at least 20 shots, and Walker finished just a point shy of Jefferson with 27. Jefferson finished 13-of-22 from the field.
Description: Hornets small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist came off the bench and led the Hornets with 15 points on Saturday.
Insight: It was a lackluster performance from Charlotte as only one player shot higher than 40 percent in the game. Brian Robert was 5-of-7 with 15 points. Kidd-Gilchrist and Lance Stephenson were both 5-of-13 from the field. Kidd-Gilchrist also had five rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Description: Hornets small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will return from his foot injury on Wednesday against the Celtics unless he suffers a setback.
Insight: Kidd-Gilchrist missed 12 straight games due to a stress reaction. His return means Gerald Henderson and P.J. Hairston will become fantasy irrelevant. If for some reason Kidd-Gilchrist is available, he should be added in standard leagues.
Description: Hornets center Al Jefferson was unstoppable at times against the Knicks on Friday.
Insight: Jefferson looked good spinning out of double teams on certain plays, scoring 16 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, but he also struggled down the stretch, shooting 8-of-21 overall. Regardless, Jefferson is a must-start in fantasy due to his threat to score a double-double every night.
Description: Hornets guard Gary Neal (injured his left shoulder) has missed four straight games and is questionable for Friday's game against New York, UPDATE: He will play on Friday versus the Knicks.
Insight: Neal hasn't played since Nov. 23. He is scoring 12.3 ppg with 2.8 rpg and 1.5 apg this season playing behind Lance Stephenson.
Description: Hornets shooting guard Lance Stephenson had perhaps his best game of the season on Wednesday.
Insight: Stephenson scored a season-high 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Coach Steve Clifford may be gaining more confidence in Stephenson as he played 40 minutes on Wednesday, the most he had played in a game in nearly a month.
Description: Hornets center Al Jefferson had one of his worst games of the season on Saturday against the Hawks.
Insight: Jefferson scored 11 points and grabbed just three rebounds, both of which are his second-worst totals for a single game this season. Jefferson came into the game averaging 20.9 ppg and 7.6 rpg in November.
Description: Hornets center Al Jefferson shot 50 percent from the floor in Friday's loss to the Warriors.
Insight: Jefferson made 8-of-16 shots to score 18 points. He also grabbed five rebounds and had three assists and two blocks. That's a pretty good night overall, but Jefferson's season averages are higher than that.
Description: Hornets G/F P.J. Hairston played 21 minutes off the bench Wednesday, but also sprained a thumb and is is questionable for Friday's game against Golden State
Insight: The rookie hasn't produced much this season (5.1 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 0.8 apg), but also hasn't seem a lot of minutes. The injury comes at a bad time as he could have gotten more playing time due to all the current injuries on the Hornets roster.
Description: Charlotte G/F Jeff Taylor will be eligible to return on Jan. 5 against Boston.
Insight: Taylor is serving a 24-game suspension for his involvement in a domestic violence case. In his first two seasons he was not fantasy worthy and was buried too deep on the depth chart to be of value in 2014-15 as well.
Description: Hornets guard Gary Neal injured his left shoulder Monday night and is questionable for Wednesday versus Portland.
Insight: This comes at a bad time as he'd been getting 30 minutes a night due to the injuries to Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and P.J. Hairston. Neal has played solidly off the bench, scoring 12.3 ppg with 2.8 rpg and 1.5 apg.
Description: Hornets center Al Jefferson scored 28 points on Wednesday's loss to the Pacers.

Insight: He was 8-of-16 from the field and 3-of-3 from the line, while also chipping in five rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block, and three turnovers. Walker is averaging 15.9 ppg, 4.6 apg, and 4.3 rpg. He needs to get his assist numbers up.
Description: Hornets center Al Jefferson scored 22 points against the Trail Blazers on Tuesday.
Insight: That's actually below his own standards as Jefferson is averaging 23.9 ppg in seven games this month. But what really disappointed Jefferson owners on Tuesday was his two rebounds. That's, by far, a season-low.
Description: Hornets center Al Jefferson finished a rebound shy of another double-double on Friday.
Insight: Jefferson played 41 minutes due to the game against the Hawks going into double overtime, but the center failed to get the 10th rebound. He still had 34 points with nine rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal.
Description: Hornets shooting guard Lance Stephenson put up an interesting line in his debut for Charlotte Wednesday.
Insight: Stephenson didn't shoot very weel (3-of-12), but did pull down 13 rebounds and dished out eight assists in an overtime win. He's dealing with a groin issue, but it shouldn't keep him from playing.

Insight: Charlotte trailed all night, but forced overtime, and Walker put the Hornets in front for good with 5.1 seconds remaining in the extra session. He had a poor shooting night (9-for-26), but did have 26 points, three 3-pointers, six rebounds, five assists, one steal, and one block. Solid start to the season for Walker.
Description: Hornets shooting guard Lance Stephenson will play in the season opener against the Bucks.
Insight: Stephenson has been dealing with a couple injuries throughout preseason, but he is ready to go on Wednesday. It will likely going to take some time for him to adjust to a new system, but Stephenson has the chance to be a real star.
Description: Hornets point guard Kemba Walker is coming off a solid 2013-14 campaign.
Insight: He averaged 17.7 ppg, 6.1 apg, 4.2 rpg, and 1.5 three-pointers per game. Walker will have a great chance to improve upon those numbers this season, and owners need to start him with confidence as the season gets underway.
Description: Hornets SG Lance Stephenson is an intriguing player heading into the season.
Insight: Entering his first season with Charlotte, Stephenson should be able to at least duplicate his numbers from last season (13.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg, and 0.7 spg). As a result, he will provide both the Hornets and fantasy owners with a solid all-around season.
Description: Hornets SG Lance Stephenson is dealing with a groin injury that is slowing his preseason, but he's probable for the opener.
Insight: Stephenson broke out for the Pacers in 2013-14, averaging 13.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game though he' sometimes out of control. It will be interesting to see how he, PG Kemba Walker and SF Gerald Henderson get along.
Description: Bobcats point guard Kemba Walker is dealing with a sore knee after a collision with Elfrid Payton.
Insight: Walker doesn't have anything serious going on here and might play if this were the regular season. He averaged 17.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 6.1 assist last season, but some of his numbers could take a hit with the addition of Lance Stephenson to the Charlotte starting lineup.
Description: Bobcats center Al Jefferson (torn plantar fascia) will not compete for a Team USA spot, instead opting to rest the foot for next season.
Insight: Jefferson averaged 21.8 ppg, 10.8 rpg and 2.1 apg last season and that's top-tier fantasy value and we wouldn't want anything to slow his recovery. Team USA still has plenty of talent in the middle.
Description: The Hornets have signed Lance Stephenson to a three-year, $27 million contract.
Insight: The third year is a team option. Stephenson broke out for the Pacers in 2013-14, averaging 13.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game, though he played out of control at times and rubbed some people the wrong way with his on-court antics. He'll replace Gerald Henderson (14 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 2.6 apg) in the starting lineup.
Description: Marvin Williams has agreed to a two-year, $14 million contract with the Charlotte Hornets.
Insight: Williams played 66 games with the Jazz in 2013-14, starting 50, and he averaged 9.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.3 threes. He'll fill minutes at power forward and small forward but won't be a good fantasy option.
Description: Bobcats point guard Kemba Walker had 29 points on 11-of-15 shooting in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals against the Heat, but Miami still finished off the sweep.
Insight: Charlotte hung tough without Al Jefferson and even had a two-point lead at halftime, but Miami pulled away in the third quarter. Walker averaged 19.5 points on .473 shooting, 6.0 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 3.0 threes and 2.0 steals in his first career playoff series.

Insight: Don't believe a word Clifford says. Big Al is playing on Monday. But how effective will he be? Well that's up for debate. Jefferson has certainly looked hobbled against the Heat (18.7 ppg on 49.1 percent shooting) but with the Bobcats' season on the line, we're sure he'll give it his best effort.
Description: Charlotte center Al Jefferson (foot) is questionable for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals Saturday against Miami.
Insight: Jefferson has been dealing with a plantar fascia injury which will likely be with him throughout the playoffs. He averaged 21.8 ppg, 10.8 rpg during the regular season and 18 ppg and 11.5 rpg in the playoffs.
Description: Charlotte center Al Jefferson (foot) returned to Wednesday's game against the Heat in the second quarter.
Insight: Jefferson had a pain-killing injection prior to the game for his plantar fascia injury but had to go to the locker room with two minutes left in the first quarter. Coach Steve Clifford told Rachel Nichols of Turner Sports during a sideline interview that Jefferson said he felt his foot tear a little more, but the center will attempt to play through the pain.
Description: Charlotte center Al Jefferson (foot) participated in pre-game warmups and is expected to play Wednesday in Game 2 against the Heat. SOURCE: Michael Wallace, ESPN
Insight: He's been assured that playing on his strained plantar fascia won't make the injury worse, though it's still going to be very painful. The Bobcats will try to avoid a 2-0 deficit against Miami.
Description: Charlotte center Al Jefferson says he'll be active for Wednesday's Game 2 against Miami. SOURCE: Rick Bonnell, Charlotte Observer

Insight: In his first ever playoff game, Walker finished with 20 points, five rebounds and six assists in 38 minutes. The Bobcats, now in their 11th year in existence, have still never won a playoff game (0-5 all-time).

Description: Bobcats PF Cody Zeller had his first-career double-double Saturday against the Cavaliers.
Insight: With Josh McRoberts nursing an ankle sprain, Zeller played a career-high 37 minutes and had 12 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and one block. The Bobcats selected Zeller fourth overall in the 2013 NBA Draft but he has played just 17.3 mpg this season.

Description: Bobcats guard Gary Neal won't be in the lineup Wednesday against Brooklyn. SOURCE: Rick Bonnell, Charlotte Observer
Insight: He's expected to miss the next 2-to-3 games with knee and ankle soreness. Neal has played well since joining Charlotte at the trade deadline (11.5 ppg, 45 percent shooting in 23.4 mpg). Chris Douglas-Roberts (6.0 ppg) should see more time in Neal's absence.
Description: Bobcats guard Gerald Henderson scored 23 points with eight rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and two threes Saturday against Portland.
Insight: Did Henderson work on his 3-point shot while he was for five games with a calf injury? Since he's returned to the lineup, he has made 9-of-18 (.500) from 3-point range in six games. He made just 22 treys in his first 59 games.
Description: Charlotte center Al Jefferson had 25 points and 16 rebounds in 38 minutes Friday against the Timberwolves.
Insight: The Bobcats won again, giving them five wins in the last six games and bringing them within two games of .500. Jefferson has been a big part of the resurrection of the francise with his 21.4 ppg and 10.4 rpg. He has put up 26.1 ppg and 10.3 rpg in 13 games since the All-Star break.
Description: Bobcats guard Gary Neal didn't play Wednesday due to "an internal team matter," but should be back in the mix for Friday against Minnesota.
Insight: Neal has limited value with Gerald Henderson back from a five-game absence. He's averaging 11.9 ppg in seven contests with Charlotte, but most of that work was done getting a healthy workload. He'll be lucky to see 20 minutes as a backup to Henderson.

Description: The Pacers had no answer for Al Jefferson (34 points, eight rebounds) Wednesday in a 109-87 Bobcats victory.

Insight: If Gordon had been released one day earlier, he would have been eligible to play in the postseason. Now he must either sign with a non-playoff team or wait until July when free agency begins. Gordon is only averaging 5.2 ppg and won't be a fantasy option even if he gets signed before the end of the season.
