Utah Jazz Player Notes
For The Last 365 Days

Gordon Hayward, G/F11/26/2014 10:39:00 PM
Description: Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward was one of the five starter to score in double-figures, during Wednesday's win over the Thunder.
Insight: He scored a team-high 24 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the floor and 7-of-14 shooting from the line. The free-throw percentage is surprising, but Hayward also had eight rebounds, three assists, and four steals. He did have an ugly eight turnovers as well.
Alec Burks, GCold11/25/2014 11:13:00 AM
Description: Jazz guard Alec Burks, who had hauled in 24 rebounds over two games last week, has reverted to his old habits.
Insight: Burks has averaged 3.7 rebounds over his last three contests and with him not scoring a lot he's struggling to be fantasy worthy.
Trey Burke, G11/25/2014 11:08:00 AM
Description: Jazz point guard Trey Burke had another solid game Monday night against Chicago, posting 18 points, three rebounds and 10 assists.
Insight: Burke was 8-of-14 from the field which is a big improvement over his season-long 36.4 percent shooting and it was his second game with double-digit assists.
Derrick Favors, F/C11/25/2014 11:06:00 AM
Description: Jazz power forward Derrick Favors shot 10-of-17 from the floor for 21 points to go along with 15 rebounds.
Insight: Favors scoring has been a bit inconsistent, but he's always going to get fantasy owners solid rebound totals.
Trey Burke, G11/23/2014 11:24:00 AM
Description: Jazz point guard Trey Burke had a solid game versus New Orleans.
Insight: Burke was 8-of-12 from the field, 2-of-3 from the line, and 2-of-5 from beyond the arc for 20 points. He also had four assists, one block, and four turnovers. Owners need his assist-to-turnover ratio to improve.
Gordon Hayward, G/F11/23/2014 11:22:00 AM
Description: Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward scored 31 points during Saturday's loss to the Pelicans.
Insight: He was 9-of-16 from the floor and 11-of-14 from the line. Hayward also chipped in eight rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block, and three turnovers. It was his third 30-point game of the season, and Hayward is now averaging 19.1 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 4.3 apg, 1.4 spg, while shooting 48 percent from the floor.
Trey Burke, G11/22/2014 9:28:00 AM
Description: Jazz point guard Trey Burke had an awful night against the Warriors on Friday.
Insight: He shot 1-of-8 from the field and finished with just two points. He did manage five assists and three rebounds but also turned it over three times. And for those into innovative basketball stats, the Jazz were minus-28 with Burke on the court.
Alec Burks, G11/21/2014 12:06:00 PM
Description: In case you hadn't noticed, Jazz guard Alec Burks has hauled in 24 rebounds over the past two games.
Insight: Double-digit rebounding guards don't come around very often. It appears his coach challenged him to be more aggressive and the results are stunning. Added to his 14.8 ppg and 3.0 apg, if he can keep it up, Burks could turn out to be a fantasy stud.
Trey Burke, G11/19/2014 9:26:00 AM
Description: Jazz point guard Trey Burke nearly posted a double-double in Tuesday's win over the Thunder.
Insight: He had 17 points, nine assists, one rebound, one steal, one block, and one turnover. Burke needs to get going for him to be more fantasy relevant, as he is averaging 10.5 ppg, 5.7 apg, and shooting 33 percent from the field.
Alec Burks, G11/19/2014 9:23:00 AM
Description: Jazz guard Alec Burks made fantasy owners happy on Tuesday night.
Insight: He was 5-of-8 from the field, 8-of-9 from the line, and 2-of-3 from downtown for 20 points. Burks also had 14 rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks, and three turnovers. Owners should not expect him to have double-figure rebounds very often, but will take it nonetheless.
Alec Burks, G11/16/2014 10:30:00 AM
Description: Jazz guard Alec Burks had a double-double on Saturday against the Raptors.
Insight: That doesn't really mean Burks had a great game. He had the weakest double-double a player can have with 10 points and 10 rebounds, and he shot just 4-for-11 from the field and 1-for-4 at the free-throw line.
Gordon Hayward, G/F11/14/2014 10:14:00 PM
Description: Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward had a monster night during Friday's win against the Knicks.
Insight: He was 11-of-18 from the field and 9-of-10 from the line for 33 points, six assists, three rebounds, four steals, two 3-pointers, and three turnovers. Hayward has seemingly taken a nice step forward this season.
Derrick Favors, F/C11/12/2014 9:48:00 PM
Description: Jazz power forward Derrick Favors shot 9-of-11 from the floor for 20 points on Wednesday.
Insight: He also had six rebounds, three assists, two steals, two blocks, and three turnovers. Favors has played very well this season, and looks like he is line to break out.
Alec Burks, G11/12/2014 9:46:00 PM
Description: Jazz guard Alec Burks scored a team-high 22 points in Wednesday's loss to Atlanta.
Insight: He was 9-of-15 from the field and 3-of-3 from the line, including one 3-pointer. Burks will give owners scoring and 3-pointers, but thats about it.
Gordon Hayward, G/F11/10/2014 9:31:00 PM
Description: Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward shot 11-of-15, including 2-for-3 from the 3-point line against the Pacers, on his way to scoring 30 points on Monday.
Insight: Both Hayward and Pacers center Roy Hibbert set season-highs on Monday. Hayward is averaging 20.2 ppg in six games this month. He also had eight rebounds and five assists versus the Pacers.
Gordon Hayward, G/F11/8/2014 9:28:00 AM
Description: Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward had 12 points and five rebounds as he had the best statistical night of any Jazz player.
Insight: Hayward shot just 3-of-9 from the field, including 2-of-7 from the 3-point line. He did sink all four of his free-throw shots. Alec Burks led the Jazz in scoring with 14 points and Enes Kanter grabbed a team-high 10 boards, but Hayward had the best of both worlds with 12 and five.
Gordon Hayward, G/F11/2/2014 10:41:00 AM
Description: Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward had a double-double on Saturday to help Utah defeat Phoenix, 118-91.
Insight: Hayward scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He also had three assists and a steal. Hayward scored 24 points in the first two games combined and being Utah lost those two games and won when he was more invovled, perhaps Utah asks Hayward to do a little more on offense.
Derrick Favors, F/C11/2/2014 10:35:00 AM
Description: Jazz power forward Derrick Favors had the game of his life on Saturday.
Insight: Favors scored a career-high 32 points in the 119-91 victory over the Suns. He made 12-of-22 shots and 8-of-9 attempts at the line. Favors also had nine rebounds, two steals, two blocks and an assisst. He has turned in three great games in the first week and has certainly raised eyebrows among fantasy owners.
Derrick Favors, F/C10/30/2014 10:53:00 PM
Description: Utah power forward Derrick Favors had a double-double in Thursday's loss to the Mavericks.
Insight: He had 17 points and 11 rebounds, but what was more impressive was that he shot 7-for-12 from the field. If he has totals like these all season, owners will be extremely happy.
Gordon Hayward, G/F10/30/2014 10:52:00 PM
Description: Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward scored 16 points in Thursday's loss to Dallas.
Insight: He chipped in six assists, four rebounds, and one steal. Owners can expect stats like this from Hayward all season.
Trey Burke, G10/29/2014 4:06:00 PM
Description: Jazz point guard Trey Burke said he is ready for the season opener against the Rockets on Wednesday according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
Insight: Burke missed practice on Tuesday with some tendinitis, but he is good to go. He draws a tough matchup on opening night with Patrick Beverley of the Houston Rockets.
Dante Exum, G10/16/2014 5:19:00 PM
Description: There is too much uncertainty regarding Jazz guard dante Exum, heading into the fantasy basketball season.
Insight: With owners not knowing how many minutes Exum will be getting each night, it would be smart to leave him undrafted. However, keep an eye on his production, as Exum could be worth a waiver move, as the season progresses.
Trey Burke, G10/16/2014 5:15:00 PM
Description: Jazz point guard Trey Burke will look to improve upon his rookie season.
Insight: He had solid averages of 12.8 points per game and 5.7 assists per game, but Burke shot only 38 percent from the field. Owners should target him towards the end of drafts, knowing there is potential for improved numbers.
Alec Burks, G10/16/2014 5:10:00 PM
Description: Jazz guard Alec Burks should be targeted towards the end of fantasy drafts.
Insight: He should give owners production in the points per game department, as he averaged 14.0 last season. However, none of his other numbers really stand out, making Burks a one-trick pony heading into the season.
Gordon Hayward, G/F10/16/2014 4:55:00 PM
Description: Jazz small forward Gordon Hayward should be line for a breakout season.
Insight: He averaged a career-best 16.2 points per game, 5.2 assists per game, 5.1 rebounds per game, and 1.4 steals per game. Hayward should be right around his career-average of .365 from three-point land, and with all of this being said, owners need to target him in the early-to-middle rounds of fantasy drafts.
Enes Kanter, C10/16/2014 4:48:00 PM
Description: Jazz center Enes Kanter will look to build off a solid 2013-14 campaign.
Insight: He averaged a career-high 12.3 points per game last season, along with 7.5 rebounds per game. Playing at the center position, owners would like to see more production in the rebounding department, along with his ability to block shots (0.5 BPG last season). Kanter should be shooting around 50 percent from the field, and will not kill you from the free throw line (73% last season), and as a result owners should target him towards the end of their drafts.
Derrick Favors, F/C10/16/2014 4:40:00 PM
Description: Utah power forward Derrick Favors is looking to build off his career-best season.
Insight: He averaged a career-high in points (13.3 PPG), rebounds (8.7 RPG), assists (1.2 APG), and steals per game (1.0) last season, and at only 23-years-old is destined to improve on those numbers. He has a career .506 field goal percentage, along with a career-average of 1.3 blocks per game. Favors should be going around the fifth or sixth round of drafts, and owners should not be afraid to pick this potential breakout candidate. He also will have eligibility at the center position as well.
Gordon Hayward, G/F8/21/2014 11:56:00 AM
Description: According to Chris Sheridan of SheridanHoops.com, Gordon Hayward could be the next Team USA cut.
Insight: Sheridan wrote, "Of all the bubble guys, he (Hayward) did the least to distinguish himself." Hayward scored four points and had two steals on Wednesday against Dominican Republic. Andre Drummond, Damian Lillard, DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Korver, and Chandler Parsons join Hayward on the roster bubble as coach Mike Krzyzewski and his staff trim the roster from 16 to 12. Team USA heads to the World Cup of Basketball on Saturday.
Gordon Hayward, G/F7/9/2014 7:38:00 PM
Description: According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Jazz are prepared to match the Hornets max offer sheet to restricted free agent Gordon Hayward.
Insight: The 24-year-old Hayward was one of seven players to average 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game last season (LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Joakim Noah, Nicolas Batum and Michael Carter-Williams were the others) and one of five with at least 14 ppg, 5.0 rpg, and 5.0 apg. He's expected to sign a four-year, $63 million offer sheet with Charlotte on Thursday, but Utah won't let him get away.

Description: The Jazz are expected to match any offer for restricted free agent Gordon Hayward, according to beat writer Jody Genessy.

Enes Kanter, C4/16/2014 7:59:00 PM
Description: Quad tendinitis will prevent Jazz center Enes Kanter from suiting up Wednesday against Minnesota. SOURCE: David Locke, Jazz radio play-by-play
Insight: It's only Kanter's second absence of the year. Erik Murphy (0.3 ppg, 0.3 rpg) is active and could wind up starting in Kanter's place.
Marvin Williams, F4/14/2014 5:17:00 PM

Enes Kanter, C4/9/2014 9:37:00 AM
Description: Jazz center Enes Kanter collected 15 points and 19 rebounds Tuesday in a loss to Dallas.
Insight: That's Kanter's highest rebounding total of the season. While many teams will be resting their starters down the stretch, Utah's rotation shouldn't see any sweeping changes over the final four games of the season. Make sure to have Kanter (12.1 ppg, 7.3 rpg) in your starting lineup Friday against Portland.

Alec Burks, G3/28/2014 5:10:00 PM
Description: Utah guard Alec Burks (ankle) will sit out Friday, according to Aaron Falk of the Salt Lake Tribune.

Description: Jazz center Derrick Favors rested during Wednesday's practice. He's been bothered by a sore hip recently. SOURCE: Aaron Falk, Salt Lake Tribune
Insight: Favors has competed in Utah's last two games and we don't imagine the injury will be enough to sideline him Friday against Golden State. Though not spectacular in any one fantasy category, Favors has produced an impressive body of work this season (13.5 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 1.3 bpg).
