Description: New York defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul will be out against Sunday against the Seahawks.
Insight: Pierre-Paul's shoulder isn't improving and at this point, he might be better off sitting out the rest of the season. He hasn't played since Week 12 against the Cowboys.

Description: The Giants are going to again be without defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul Sunday against San Diego.
Insight: Pierre-Paul is battling a shoulder injury. It's the second game Pierre-Paul has missed in four NFL seasons. Pierre-Paul recorded 16.5 sacks two seasons ago but is only on pace for three in 2013. Still, he's a good pass rusher and his absence should help Philip Rivers and the Chargers passing offense.

Description: The Giants are going to be without defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul Sunday against the Redskins.
Insight: Pierre-Paul is battling a shoulder injury. It's the first game Pierre-Paul has missed in four NFL seasons. Pierre-Paul recorded 16.5 sacks two seasons ago but is only on pace for three in 2013.

10/21/2013 10:36:00 AM
Description: Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is questionable for Monday's game against Minnesota due to illness.
Insight: Saturday's missed practice session was the second in a row and he'll be a true game-time decision. He has 15 tackles and one sack this season and apparently isn't the same guy who posted 16.5 sacks and 93 tackles in 2011.

9/8/2013 2:10:00 PM
Description: Fox's Jay Glazer expects Giants right end Jason Pierre-Paul to play Sunday against Dallas.
Insight: He missed all of New York's preseason games while recovering from back surgery. Pierre-Paul collected eight tackles and a sack in two games against the Cowboys last season.

9/8/2013 10:25:00 AM
Description: Giants RE Jason Pierre-Paul (back) is "truly a game-time decision" for Sunday night's game at Dallas.
Insight: Pierre-Paul had back surgery three months ago and missed all of camp. The Giants D/ST is not a good fantasy play; New York has a no-name linebacking corps, Stevie Brown is out for the season and Pierre-Paul is not yet in game shape.

8/26/2013 5:48:00 PM
Description: New York right end Jason Pierre-Paul has been activated from the active/PUP list.
Insight: He missed most of training camp while recovering from offseason back surgery. There's a good chance Pierre-Paul plays Week 1 against the Cowboys.

Insight: Pierre-Paul has drawn extra attention from opponents this season and has recorded just 6.5 sacks through 11 games. Both he and Phillips will give New York a better chance of stopping rookie sensation Robert Griffin III.

Description: Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is questionable for Monday's game against Washington after missing practice Friday and Saturday. SOURCE: New York Daily News
Insight: Pierre-Paul has drawn extra attention from opponents this season and has recorded just 6.5 sacks through 11 games. The DE has a better chance to play than S Kenny Phillips (knee), who is doubtful. If both players had to miss the game it would make it all the more difficult to stop Redskins QB Robert Griffin III.

10/8/2012 1:29:00 PM
Description: Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul only has 1.5 sacks in five games this season after recording 16.5 a year ago.
Insight: Pierre-Paul has drawn increased attention from defenses after his disruptive breakout season in 2011-12. Unfortunately, that hasn't helped Justin Tuck (0 sacks) or Osi Umenyiora (2.0 sacks) get to the quarterback more frequently. Keep starting your Giants IDPs for a few more games to see if they pick up the production.

Description: Rookie DL Jason Pierre-Paul's level of athleticism has the Giants excited so far in training camp. SOURCE: NEWARK STAR-LEDGER
Insight: Pierre-Paul has all the physical tools to be a starter in the NFL, but he may not see much time as a rookie.

7/31/2010 8:43:00 PM
Description: Giants signed No. 15 overall pick DE Jason Pierre-Paul to a five-year, $20.05 million contract, including $11.63 million guaranteed. SOURCE: Adam Schefter via Twitter
Insight: JPP is extremely raw after only one season at South Florida. He's behind Justin Tuck, Osi Umenyiora and Mathias Kiwanuka on the depth chart, so he might be a year or two away from an immediate impact.
